and i was thinking about apprentice ceremonies as well, like how do we decide what role an apprentice will train under?
i was thinking before the ceremony they must choose between 4 symbols and each symbol represents the role they would like to go into - kind of like the Divergent scene where they go up and pick which factor they want to be in during their coming of age graduation ceremony

it does! i think that’d be a fun idea. should it be a whole moon though or maybe the choosing ceremony is a half moon into their apprenticeship

i think they have the option to change but i think an apprentice changing their training is very uncommon, i just personally don't think it's super necessary to have a lot of precautions yknow? also just logistically a full moon to decide to me feels like it'd be a lot to RP and eventually get to.
plus, as a rper i probably already have in mind what my kittens would want to be trained in when they're born or after a few times playing them out, that's why i figured it would be part of the apprentice ceremony in the first place

we should probably add this under traditions or in the about section

A pale brown shecat of a lithe, angular build and a natural bob tail. Her short, fluffy pelt is pale brown in color with darker brown tabby stripes. Her paws are brown as well as the tip of her tail. Screepaw has olive green eyes.
Quiet and reserved, Screepaw is not one to waste air on useless words or senseless musing about the world and as a result, often appears slow minded. In truth, she is actually quite sensible, focused, and clever. She is relaxed and careful; she'd rather think a situation through and see what others are doing before making decisions. Screepaw is quite easygoing in stressful situations. She tends to keep to herself and is deeply dedicated to following the rules. She trusts the warrior code deeply and seeks to live her life around it. She is very determined, being sure to thoroughly complete each task but tends to over-think. She is surprisingly stubborn at times and can be a sore loser. Screepaw values loyalty and dependability in both her friends and herself. While some may call her boring, she is perfectly happy to spend her days serving the clan.

Born to Nimblefoot and Hickorysmoke. Nimblefoot died giving birth and Hickorysmoke left the clan in his grief so she was raised by Pearlstone and calls her mother.

Small, sleek, white shecat with ginger paws, muzzle, and tail-tip. Her big, round eyes are deep blue. Friendly and energetic, Pearlstone loves to chat with her clanmates and is hardly short on friends although she chooses to only be close to a few. She doesn't know when to stay quiet which can lead to arguments with her clanmates. Being liked is vital to her, and as such, she tends to avoid controversial topics in the clan; however, when she does decide to put her (admittedly minimal) weight behind a cause, not even the clan leader can get her to budge. Pearlstone loves to be the center of attention and thrives in social situations. She strongly dislikes being alone, and as a result, she can usually be found wherever the action is. Though very kind, Pearlstone can be over-excitable and a bit nosy; still, her friends see her excitement as rather charming, and she possesses the unique ability to keep up a conversation with even the most reluctant interlocutor. Blessed with a quick wit, Pearlstone is haughty, arrogant, and an excellent liar. She is pretty and naturally excels at hunting, so she thinks of herself as better than her clanmates. She can be a bit of a bully when she feels offended by someone, but she is very kind and sweet to her friends. Due to her small size, she is not a great fighter.

Crabclaw is a pale ginger tom with dark tabby stripes. He has square muzzle sitting under a pair of bright, amber eyes. Crabclaw is coarse and sometimes over-confident. He is constantly training to be the best warrior he can be- even from a young age he could often be found coercing clanmates into teaching him moves he would practice endlessly. Though he may not be the nicest cat, no one can deny he is a hard worker and will do anything to uphold the warrior code. His charisma skills are quite strong and he is quite the charmer when it suits him. Crabclaw is quite one-sighted- solely focused on keeping his clan safe. Crabclaws' biggest pet peeve is when someone can’t understand something he finds to be easy. This doesn’t mean he dislikes cats who aren’t very smart, it just means that when someone can’t understand something, he doesn’t always know how to explain it differently.

hmmm...maybe it has something to do with Starclan? they could send a prophecy that someone in the clan is going to try and overthrow Seagullstar, thinking that maybe he’s too young of a leader? it could eventually lead to a civil fight breaking out in the clan

a sickness could break out in the camp and the cure is an herb only found deep in the Wilds so a patrol has to be sent to retrieve it but the trip would be v dangerous
