I really like to read Historical Fiction, and graphic novels. Recently, I've had an obsession with Spider-Man comics + National Geographic books for some reason? I've been enjoying it, at least. (X

I love historical fiction. Mostly because I'm a complete history nerd. 
We have a whole stack of National Geographic that I've read at some point or another. It's like information overload. I know I won't remember it all, but...it just so interesting

Six of Crows is set in the same world as the Grisha Triology, which came first. You can read it without reading the triology, but it doesn't really explain the world at all like the original series did.
Both books take place in a fictional country inspired by Imperial Russia, which makes for a very different, interesting setting. The "grisha" are people born with seemingly magical powers, divided into three groups: Corporalki (those who can control parts of human anatomy, like the heart, to kill or heal); the Etherealki (those who can summon water, fire, or air); and Materialki (those who can shape inorganic matter). The Grisha form the country's "Second Army," lead by a unique grisha called the Darkling (who can summon shadows). Generations ago, another darkling went evil and created the Shadow Fold, a huge scar of shadow dividing the country that is nearly impossible to cross.
The triology books follows a girl named Alina Starkov, an ordinary orphan doing her time in the army. But when her unit must cross the shadow fold, she discovers that she is a unique grisha that can summon light.
Six of Crows duology takes place in the same world, but in the Dutch-inspired merchant center of Kerch. It follows a ruthless young man called Kaz Brekker, an extremely clever but cold theif steadily rising in the ranks of his gang. He's given a mission to complete an impossible heist.
Wow, I went a bit market-y there xD They're great books! The Russian inspiration made for a fascinating background instead of the usual vaguely-English/West Europe setting. I also love political intrigue and conmen stories, so they sucked me in quickly.
For now, feel free to just deduct a fair estimation from your funds for a weeks supply of food. You can do the same with basic furniture. I'll have a grocery store up in the next few days, but I have no idea when someone will make a furniture store.
Once stores are available for character needs, you'll have to buy stuff from there rather than thin air. As for how often you should restock and how much your characters use, we usually leave that to individual discretion. We mostly trust the member's estimation. So if you want to buy about a week's worth of food for one cat, and then clear it all out at the end of the week, you can do that. ^^ There's no specific hard-and-fast guide, just make sure it's realistic. I'll have a furniture store up later this week. |

same but i know i won't get in
maybe if i had studied for the SAT. but the ivy league schools are SUPER unfriendly to home schoolers, so it would be unlikely on top of great scores.
i'll go to one for law school probably.
i was going to apply to rice, but then it said you had to take two sat subject tests in your field of interest to even be considered, and it's too late for that. also 4 years of electives when i only have 3.
see, i missed the psat, which is generally how colleges find you. so i haven't gotten anything from colleges ever.

I've been watching a lot of anime lately (what else is new) and some other cartoons. I started rereading Warriors around the time the wcf closed because nostalgia hit me horribly
speaking of nostalgia, I actually reopened Trapped! One of my friends suggested that we bring it back so I've basically been reliving 2012 these past few weeks
I want to say I've been writing lately, but I've been planning my story out more than actually writing it, whoops
I think I mentioned it before, but I'll keep back my rambling unless anyone wants to hear about it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I had my old friend from Dallas over this month for like a week; it was great because in the past two years we've only managed to see each other for over-night stays a few times. Anywho, that was great. And she brought me a bunch of old gifts she meant to give to me at christmas like two years ago, and we were laughing because one of them was Brambelstar's Storm. Neither of us reads the books any more. But I read it anyway for old time's sake. It was....okay I guess, not as bad as some of their works but not that great.
Maybe once we finish moving and everything in a few months I'll re-read the OS. I still have all six books.
Well, I've been outlining my story for three years, and I realized the other month that I sorta needed to strat over with the plot. So...you're not alone xD
Doing alright! I start school tomorrow.  Senior year and all that. It sucks because it feels like summer just started a week ago for me: for like 90% of the summer I was working 6 of 7 days, 30 hours, a week. And just last week the pool finally switched to school hours so I'd only be working on the weekends. So I got to enjoy one free week
We didn't go on vacation this summer (I did go to camp again though), probably because we're going to Florida in a few weeks. Homeschool privileges and all that.
