Hello! this is me just venting out my plots that I've been thinking of for awhile. I haven't done romance rps in a hot minute, so here's some ideas and pls lmk if you would be interested! feel free to post your own romance rp ideas as well and maybe we can figure out something together (: As you can see, I'm mostly used to roleplaying fantasy but I am interested in doing something that is only strictly romance so just send your ideas my way! This front page will most likely be heavily edited over time as my activity on here is quite sporadic. academy rp (?) - A private academy for witches and warlocks in training. 6 Different subs for what magic to use. Somewhere on an island or hidden in the mountains hogwarts style. Plots: lockdown - whole academy is put on lockdown, students can only be with those who are in their caste (magic sub); romance develops. questing - 2 students from each caste are sent out on a quest to obtain *item(s)*, they are chosen based on grades, magical development and teamwork; romance develops. caste wars - a select team of *5-8* students are picked from each caste to take place in the caste wars. This is a capture the flag-like system where high witches/warlocks will be watching and judging. Winners get ranked up. Takes 2 weeks of training before it begins; romance & rivalry develops. futuristic power rp (?) - a community of people live on an island where they are separated from the rest of the world. once a community member turns 18, they are sent to a smaller remote island nearby to partake in a "hunger games" type. Winners are chosen eventually, but details are excluded. Everybody in this community has abilities to shapeshift, but only specific animals. 4 subs of magic* - aquatic (dolphins, sharks, alligators etc.), aerial (birds, flying insects etc.), forest (bears, wolves, cougars etc.), and ground (foxes, snakes, moles, badgers etc.). Plots: city life rp (?) - similar to above plot in the sense of it being a city separated from the rest of the world. More modern. Some weird weather/meteor phenomenon has left the city in chaos as new powers begin to be born in random people. Powers are strictly based on the person's lifestyles and hobbies (eg. Someone who works in a flower shop could grow plants), and are also heavily destructive as nobody knows where these abilities came from and how to use them. Therefore, each person's power also has something that really sucks about it. Plots: cop vs. robber - special police force is created to keep more chaos from starting, as many criminals are taking advantage of their new found abilities. basically it will be like gov't versus rebellion. lots of forbidden love chances here.

Quod Ad Nox Noctis Hello! personally, I think the questing plot would be a good place to start to get things going, then later develop the caste wars after adding more characters? I'd still need to figure out what type of quest they would go on though.

'Kay, sure! To start with, do you already have preliminary ideas for the different castes? And for what they have to collect/find, maybe artifacts related to their caste history in some way?

sorry, I will try to respond to this tmrw. I thought a whole lot about the types of castes and the ranking systems at the academy, but it will take me some time to type and I have to work in the morning lol.

caste types fire, water, earth, rock, air, life combat types close-combat, distance combat (archer / sniper type), support, (?), (?)
school ranking system
Class C - 13 years old ~ 15 years old the learning of specifically teamwork and basic elemental knowledge. students practice mostly in groups and tend to study a lot more than working in the field. Class B - 15 years old ~ 17 years old students begin developing their abilities, and picking combat types and teams. all students are trained in groups with people they work well with. Class A - 17 years old ~ 19 years old students can create their own personalized spells and learn to duel-cast with team members, resulting in a bulkier spell. These are the strongest of students, and must lead their school well. They are known to have the most intense caste wars. Class S - 19 years old / graduate + these are graduate students and they are given 3 choices to continue their elemental path. 1. They may become a teacher at the academy and train new students while learning to specialize on their own. They work closely with the headmaster and judging of students. 2. They may choose to follow their own path and take S-ranked quests. They are not usually at the academy. 3. They may choose another element to learn; however, they must use this element starting from Class C once again. This is shown to be very useful as one student can now duel-weld.
students may excel more than others and may go up a rank based on teamwork, skill, knowledge, and more. These rank changes can happen after an extraordinary demonstration of the students abilities during caste wars or other situations where they can be judged.

here's a very rough idea of what I've come up with so far ^^
and yes, I really like the idea of questing for specific element items!!! for example, a group of fire witches/warlocks could easily take a quest into a volcano to acquire a special type of lava rock that is known for boosting firepower. this rock could be turned into a necklace/ring, etc. (in terms of attack, defense, health, and speed, lava rock shards can give up to a 5% boost of attack.)
of course, there would also be more difficult quest items as the class ranks go up, like weapons or armor types.

Great! All of that looks awesome! ^^ I'm still wondering about the nature of the magic, however- do they have to speak to cast a spell? Are there certain basic spells that everyone knows, a la Harry Potter? Are there mediums such as wands or books or are there hand/body movements?
and what's the difference between earth, rock, and life? Is 'life' more like aether/aura?

apologies for my consistent disappearances, just dealing with some work anxiety atm lol
I plan on probably creating a list of generic spells for each caste, probably Latin words or something, then A-class students can also create their own personalized spells. I might think about creating generic all-known spells as well, but it's not something I've put much thought on. For casting, close-combat types would probably use hand/body movements while the others (long-distance, support, and whatever else I'll think of) will use wands/items/weapons.
I thought you would ask that! lol it isn't very straightforward. Earth controls plants, technically speaking, like a child of Demeter. They can grow vines, plants, and probably little sprites to help. Rock is a little more technical, I was thinking obviously things like earthquakes, but that's a little overpowered. There will probably be a lot of sand manipulation, (quicksand, sandstorms) and maybe a little gravity/vibration manipulation. Life is healing. Or at least for the C-class students. As a young student, they will be trained mainly to support and learn to heal themselves and do group healing spells. However, life is also heavily connected to death. I was thinking either in B-class or A-class they would start to learn death spells, where they could do things like life-draining and other sorts. Probably also uses sprites/familiars.

I completely understand- I'm dealing with the same so sorry if I don't have any ideas to offer up yet! ^^" I'm pretty drained.
Ohh, makes sense! ^^ That all sounds awesome, but you don't mind planning all of it out? It sounds like a lot to basically make an entire magic textbook?
