( I'm glad they're all good so far! I'm beginning on Hadie soon! c: Yes a crush, my little hopeless Puddle boi. <3 Thank you! It randomly came to me and I was just like, yesssss! Pitchpaw is definitely his father's child. xD Also, I realized there is a ton of typos in my forms, it was super late when I typed them and I must have been half asleep lol. I'll edit them when I write up Hadie. )

((ooh, that’d be a lot of fun nettle! shady outside cats jacques + kite & ladder fight
no worries blu, i am also half-asleep, for my eye completely glossed over them typos x3 also if u wanna,,, throw puddle into the hunting group :333))
Cypresstail || in camp with Mockingbird
Cypresstail emerged from the den, keeping close to Mockingbird’s side. He noticed, with a bit of a sinking heart, that cats were still milling around in the camp. Something hung in the air, rife with tension - he could read it in the slowly de-fluffing tails and stiff backs of those who were slowly parting into what looked like two groups. So, they’re still organizing patrols, he thought. That’s… good. And another thing to weigh heavily on his mind - a deputy. His choice could be the one that holds the clan together, or break it even further apart. Sentimentality, he’s learned, will not be wise route.
He purposefully drifted away from the gathered cats, selfishly hoping they do not notice him and thus barrage him with questions, towards the shade of the fresh-kill pile. “I wonder,” he mused, “how the journey to the Moonlake will be with these weary bones.” The journey was, perhaps, the final test of a potential leader’s strength - or, perhaps more accurately, the strength of Starclan’s goodwill.
Cypresstail slowly sat down by the fresh-kill pile, gesturing for Mockingbird to share a meal. “Have you eaten today?”

Leafriver || in camp with Batwing, Pondfrost, and Seapaw
Leafriver noticed the volley of glares and could only despair, with no clue at what to say to magically disperse the bad blood between these cats. Did all this start with Tangledthrush? Or has it always been there?
“Good to have you with us, Seapaw!” they chirped loudly, visibly glad to see the apprentice. They couldn’t help but feel a kindred spirit in the nervous young cat, along with a desire to somehow use their medicinal skills to aid his body spasms. But, they were not the ambitious scientist their sister was. Even the thought of trying out a new and uncertain remedy terrified them to the bone.
They jumped at Batwing’s question, blinking dumbly for a moment before going, “Oh! Of course!” Leafriver felt strangely awkward about mentoring another cat, especially since they were certainly old enough to do so. But they still couldn’t help but feel uncertain in their own paws. “I think Ivybloom’s got something for them?” Leafriver said. “We have a solid herb-collecting group, and we should probably keep a couple of medicine cats in camp.” Their voice trailed off uncertainly. “What do you think?” If they were honest, their paws were simply itching to move, to dive underwater and let their mind float away for a moment.

Jaques || at Twoleg Trees with Needle and Rope
Jacques just looked absolutely delighted with a stupidly smug look on his face. “Oh, I would never dream of playing dirty,” he purred, brushing a tail tip along Needle’s shoulder in a way that was not one hundred percent innocent. “Please let me know if I’m ruffling your fur the wrong way any time.”
He then smiled charmingly at Rope and stepped over so that he could throw his tail over the loner’s shoulders as if they were already best buds. “Well, the day is young! What say you we amble on over to the border and see of our fellow clan buds show? If not, we could always stroll into camp, but they tend to get a little more snippy whenever someone crosses the little line they've made,” he sighed dramatically, leading the two over towards said border.
((i hAte him also low-key want them to meet the herb-hunting group, bc they’d be a lot more likely to be convinced than the combined forces of brackishclaw and turtlepaw))
Brackishclaw || in camp with Turtlepaw and Glassyfern
Brackishclaw childishly threw another face in Pondfrost’s direction, as if to get the satisfaction of the last word, before turning to Turtlepaw and nodding approvingly. I guess if you were a bit older, you could be my deputy, he thought, mostly in amusement. As ridiculous as he thought Turtlepaw’s lofty claims could be, the two of them definitely fell on the same wave-length. “I definitely want to do a little fishing over there,” he said. Cool my head, he thought dryly, thinking of Batwing.
Brackishclaw gestured to Glassyfern as he started trotting towards the camp entrance. He looked over his shoulder, seeing if any other clanmates were trailing out of the warrior's den yawning. “Better look out for rogues,” he grumbled conversationall. “As soon as they sense something off, they’ll be on our tails.”

Tangledthrush || at makeshift camp with Virgil, Fadedecho, Treebitten, and Swallowdive
“Not quite,” Tangledthrush said to Swallowdive, eyeing the ease at which the tom strolled down the tree trunk with carefully hidden envy. Once Treebitten emerged from the sweet fennel, fur a mess, looking frazzled and annoyed (so, the usual), Tangledthrush turned to Virgil to introduce him.
Then she noticed Virgil huddling close to her like a spooked kitten, and at once realized she may have misstepped. She cursed at herself for not thinking it through - of course the loner would be nervous about meeting a whole group of cats at once, especially if he’d be alone for so much of his life. All she could do now was make a general announcement and slowly ease him into personal introductions later. Tangledthrush rested her tail on his shoulder in what she hoped was a reassuring touch, and turned to address her small team.
“Good morning, everyone,” she said. “I hope you slept well. I just wanted to let you all know that I have met Virgil here on a lovely hunt and invited him to join us, if only for a little bit.” She raised her tail to halt any anticipated questions. “You can all introduce yourselves in due time - let’s not scare our newcomer off by charging at him all at once, shall we?” Tangledthrush said the line with a light joking manner. “Alright then. Meeting dismissed - we can get a little hunting team going a little later,” she said, thinking of their meager fresh-kill pile.
She then led Virgil firmly away from curious eyes. Noticing Fadedecho back in the corner, she instinctively drew herself towards him. Despite his grin, Tangledthrush had a feeling she could only attribute to her sisterly instincts that he was feeling a bit down. “I have to apologize for my inconsideration,” she began towards Virgil in a lower voice, right before Treebitten literally nosed in.
“Did you bring something back alive?” she grunted.
“… No, Treebitten,” Tangledthrush said. “I brought back fresh-kill. Which, in its name, is implied to have been killed. So we can eat it.”
Treebitten tsked her tongue in a way that should’ve been anatomically impossible. “They can’t swallow my new Yellowsour Poultice if they’re dead,” she said. She then turned interested eyes towards Virgil - Tangledthrush swiftly stepped in front of him. Treebitten, to Tangledthrush’s mild horror, looked disappointed. “Hm. Name’s Treebitten, fresh meat,” she called as she padded off, pausing for a moment to scratch furiously at her side with her back leg, then vanishing into the sweet fennel.
“… That is our medicine cat,” Tangledthrush said. “She doesn’t bite. Usually.” She cast a glance at her brother, silently begging for support. “Right, Fadedecho?”
((i just wanna give fadedecho a big hug))

M o c k i n g b i r d in camp || with Cypresstail ➣ The molly was unsure what had her clan mates so tense but she noticed her father instantly react to it. She ran her tail gently down his spine, offering him some brief comfort before casting him a warm smile. Mockingbird didn't want to hover over her father, knowing it wouldn't be appreciated. Instead her gaze slid around camp, searching for the familiar mainly black pelt of her mate. Not spotting Cloudwatcher in the center of camp, the queen wondered if her mate was still asleep this morning. When her Cypresstail began moving in the direction of the fresh-kill pile, Mockingbird turned and followed at his side, her head lifted proudly. If she shielded her father's body with her own, then that was her own business. The sight of prey sent her stomach rolling a bit, though it was much better than it had been earlier this morning. "Y-you'll do f-fine Pa-pa, I kn-now you w-will," the golden and white said with conviction. Purring softly she sat herself down beside the pile of prey, tilting her head thoughtfully. She didn't know which animal looked more appetizing. "I h-haven't. I've been h-having morning si-sickness. Still, I need to f-feed the little h-heathens. Maybe the sp-arrow?" Mockingbird asked Cypresstail, her bi amber and blue eyes shining up at him gently. S e a p a w in camp || with Leafriver, Batwing, & Pondfrost ➣ The warmth with which Leafriver greeted him shocked the little white and green tom, his whole body spasming with surprise. Seapaw dipped his head and shifted his paws shyly, peeking up at medicine cat with wide dark eyes. His attention drifted as the medicine cats chatted about their apprentice, daydreaming about watching butterflies floating above him gracefully. A soft sigh left him, his gaze drifting to the sky as he let his imagination run wild. It was better than letting his anxieties take over, though they still lingered just below the surface. His whole body continued to twitch, just a little less violently. F a d e d e c h o in makeshift camp || with Tangledthrush & Virgil ➣ Fadedecho ducked his head, licking at his paw absently to and make himself appear as casual as possible, the tom attempted to blend in. His paws itched to run, carry him far away from the others that made him so uncomfortable. He'd been happy to tell Tangledthrush to bring Virgil into the group, knowing she was a social creature and wanted more cats to help out. The tom knew that it would just be another cat who looked at him as though he was a creep or a monster. His ears perked up as his sister approached, watching her interact with Treebitten cautiously. He didn't really trust the medicine cat, she worried him with all her experiments. He snorted noiselessly at his sister's comment. 'Yeah, unless you're unlucky enough to catch her morbid fascination,' he replied, casting a brief glance at Virgil before turning his head away and laying it on his paws. Exhaustion swam through his veins but he refused to let his eyes droop closed.
P u d d l e s p o t s leaving camp || with Brackishclaw, Turtlepaw, & Glassyfern ➣ Waking up was irritating, but necessary. With a long stretch and a loud yawn, the tom made his way out of the warrior's den, peering around the camp. His foggy gray eyes paused on his sister, sensing her ruffled state. He frowned thoughtfully, wondering what had caused her to become so clearly irritated. Seeing Turtlepaw trotting away, the tom deduced it must have something to do with his sister's apprentice. That would be pretty typical for the two mollies, since they seemed to butt heads often. He was about to head over to Pondfrost when Brackishclaw caught his attention. His ears became uncomfortably hot and his heart did this strange stutter thing in his chest. Whatever that was about. Shaking himself, the silvery tom padded towards the patrol, wondering if they wanted another set of paws. "Hey, mind if I tag along?" he asked casually, a small grin on his face, trying to ignore the instinct to lick his chest fur and hide his face from the other tom. H a d i e the foul beaches || open ➣ The molly had her nose wrinkled against the awful scent that lingered in the air. She'd thought that after a few days of finding shelter here, she'd be used to the awful air but that wasn't the case. She just wanted some shelter for a couple of nights without having to worry about other cats but this almost wasn't worth it. Hadie gagged, curling her lip at the strange colored water. Though her mouth was dry and her throat ached, she dared not take a sip. A strange looking lizard darted past her paw, causing her to shriek and jump back, her fur fluffed up and standing on end. After calming herself, the little she-cat pushed forward, curious about the new animal. Her green eyes were wide, her head tilted faintly to one side.

Pondfrost - w/ Leafriver, Batwing, Seapaw - willowflower, little blu ♥, highprince“It’s a good idea.” Pondfrost gave a curt nod to Leafriver’s words. After all, with how tensions were now, it was better to have somebody at camp to treat unexpected injuries. The last thing they needed was to lose more clanmates. Pondfrost spared Seapaw a kind smile, pleased to see the young apprentice. Why couldn’t she have gotten her instead of Turtlepaw? Sure, Turtlepaw needed a mentor to temper her recklessness, but how could she do that if the apprentice wouldn’t even listen to her? Seapaw, on the other hand, had that polite, sweet demeanor that Pondfrost could appreciate greatly. She tossed around the idea of talking to Seapaw later, to find out if she had any tips for dealing with Turtlepaw. After all, they were siblings- if anybody could deal with her, it’d be Seapaw. Needle and Rope - w/ Jacques - willowflower“Keep your tail to yourself.” Needle snapped, shifting his pace to put some distance between her and Jacques. What a stupid, smug furball! Why did Rope get pulled in so easily by such obviously shady characters? She snuck a glance over to her friend, but Rope paid little mind, his attention drawn entirely by Jacques. He kept right by the tom’s side, nodding along with what he said, that same glint in his eye as the when he had seen the twoleg tree. He was eager to see what other surprises the rogue had hidden, and the best way to see was to follow. Swallowdive - w/ Tangledthrush, Virgil, Fadedecho, Treebitten - willowflower, little blu ♥, highprince“I bite.” Swallowdive jumped onto the end of Tangledthrush’s words, smirking slightly. “Not sure why we need some loner. We’re clanborn and trained. What can he bring to the group that none of us can?” He continued, his smugness fading into a look of suspicion. He didn’t seem too impressive, especially standing next to cats like Tangledthrush and Treebitten.. Sure, he had followed Tangledthrush loyally, but he wouldn’t hesitate to leave if she grew too soft. Bringing in outsiders was all well and good, but they needed to be able to contribute, or they would just be dead weight to the group. They were in a more precarious position than ever, and the last thing they needed was to be dragged down by some loner.

((jacques: flirts with kite kite: so you have chosen death))
Ladder || She-Cat (She/Her) || 42 Moons || Rogue (Travelers) Ladder is an elegant-looking cat, with silky white fur scored through with v-shaped black stripes, a sweeping, plume-like tail, and drowsy-looking grey eyes. Her nose, pads, and whiskers are pale green, and she is shorter and chubbier than her siblings. She very much looks the part of a kittypet, though her unusually long claws and bright green saliva give her away as another product of the same mutations that have touched the rest of the land. || Ladder has a far more stern and serious outlook than her siblings, though she’s not adverse to relaxation, once she’s sure that she’s won. She views things as though she is constantly at war with cats outside her group, and this can make her hard to talk to, as this grim viewpoint often seeps into her demeanor. She can be quite gloomy and negative, but surprisingly gets along well with more cheerful, optimistic cats. Despite coming off as relaxed, if not a bit pessimistic, she has a violent temper and short fuse. She is incredibly protective of Kite and dislikes virtually any cat who even attempts to make a pass at her sister. || The sister of Kite and Rope, she and her siblings were born to Hook and Stairs, the leaders of the Travelers, a group of cats descended from kittypets who moved from place to place, taking over territories. When her parents died, she inherited leadership alongside Kite, but Rope abandoned the group soon after. She still holds resentment towards Rope for leaving. She and Kite are currently travelling alone, scouting out new territories for their group. || Her saliva causes a burning sting when it comes into contact with open wounds, though it does not cause actual damage. She is under its effects constantly, which have resulted in her short temper and snippy attitude. [[ @nettles ]]
Kite || She-Cat (She/Her) || 42 Moons || Rogue (Travelers) Kite is a pretty she-cat, with sleek, coal black fur, long whiskers, and a long, slim body with angular features. Her pelt is sliced through with curving stripes that constantly pulse and shift colors, and her pads and saliva have the same effect. Her eyes are entirely consumed by this pulsing coloration, giving them a psychedelic look. || Kite contrasts sharply with her sister, with a more carefree, ditzy attitude, often misplacing or forgetting things and cheerfully moving through life as though she has nothing to worry or think about. She’s quite flirty, but unfortunately also extremely possessive and jealous, and the only time she’s known to lose her cool is over romantic situations, at which point she becomes violent and volatile. || The sister of Ladder and Rope, she was born into the Travelers, a group of cats descended from kittypets that move from place to place, forcefully taking over territories. While she now has leadership alongside Ladder, she takes it far less seriously, and is thus treated more as a second-in-command. She and Ladder are currently scouting out new territories for the Travelers. || Her saliva has a psychedelic, drug-like effect when it gets into open wounds. She herself is usually under its effects, and has spent seasons trying to overcome it. Her movements are still sometimes awkward and sluggish due to it, and it has left her with a bit of a ditzy and forgetful attitude. [[ @nettles ]]

Cypresstail || in camp with Mockingbird
Sometimes, it just hits Cypresstail just how much he loved his daughter. Just during small moments like these, he could feel the fondness swelling up in him as he met her gaze with a soft smile. Cypresstail’s eyes softened in sympathy at news of morning sickness. “That won’t do,” he said, concern in his mew. “Have you seen a medicine cat?” He bent his head over the fresh-kill pile and selected the sparrow, placing it delicately between the two. He’d been meaning to take a visit himself to tend to persistent headaches he’d been experiencing, but with all that happened over the past few days, he didn’t want to clog up the den. Just the thought made him subconsciously rub at his blind eye.
Cypresstail took a small bite out of one of the sparrow’s necks and passed it to Mockingbird. “Have you thought of names?” he said conversationally - while it was typical to name the kit upon birth, he considered it fun to ruminate on the possibilities.
((mockingbird,,, is,, precious,,,))

Jacques || with Needle and Rope
“Come with me,” Jacques said in a sing-song as he led them to the border he knew very well. He sat, directing the full blast of his charming smile at Rope, if only because he had an inkling it would drive Needle nuts. “I suppose we’ll have a little bit to wait,” he said. “At least we have each other, right?”
Then, a spark lit up in his eye - one that did so when he got an absolutely exciting (and absolutely terrible) idea. “Perhaps we can make the first move,” he said, “and give these spiritual cats the hope they need.” Jacques looked over at the two of them, eyes twinkling. “Would you like to go see their Moon Lake?”
@nettles
Brackishclaw || in camp with Turtlepaw and Glassyfern
Brackishclaw snorted in agreement with Glassyfern. “Oh, I don’t doubt it,” he said, nudging the apprentice. “Better hope you’re all caught up on your battle moves.”
Brackishclaw turned at the sound of Puddlespots’ meow, blinking at the other warrior. “Oh, hey,” he said. “Perfect, we’ll get four on our team too.” He cast one last glower at the herb-collecting team without much heat and turned towards the camp entrance. “We’re headed over ‘cross the Twoleg Bridge,” he called back to Puddlespots. Once they hit the entrance he could feel his claws itch in anticipation - suddenly struck by impulse, he turned to his patrol and smirked a little. “‘Kay, how ‘bout we make it a little competition? Who gets most prey first?”

Tangledthrush || in makeshift camp with Fadedecho, Virgil, and Swallowdive
True, Tangledthrush thought dryly to Fadedecho. She cast a quick glance at how he turned his head away and rested it on his paws, making a quick note to herself to share tongues with her brother later. It felt like they hadn’t been able to just hang out and relax together after their exile - even before then, when Tangledthrush was busy with her deputy duties, and Tangledthrush could feel it weighing heavily on her.
“So,” she said, turning back to Virgil and smiling gently. “I want to help you get settled in, relax a little. I’d take you on a little tour, but the most you need to know is the fresh-kill pile right over there,” she said, pointing with her tail. “I hope none of this is too overwhelming. A few of us will probably head out hunting later, if you’d like to join and pick up a few tips, maybe get to know others in the group.”
Her smile faltered a little when Swallowdive appeared at her shoulder. She had expected at least one cat to push back against bringing in a newcomer. “Come now, Swallowdive,” she said lightly. “Virgil has already shown he’s more than capable of catching some prey with a little guidance.” She leveled a look at him. “There’s no harm in having an extra set of paws around here while giving a cat a home. Besides, I still stand by giving cats freedom - I don’t see why a loner can’t join us if he so choose. Nor deny you the freedom to take off,” Tangledthrush said, giving the last of her words some levity as she nudged Swallowdive in a teasing manner. “Come, it's his first day! Perhaps later you can show off some of your hunting moves for him.” She then turned to Virgil. “Virgil, allow me to introduce Swallowdive. If you ever need an honest opinion, I’ve got just the cat right here.”

The Stranger || at the Foul Beaches with Hadie
Just a few feet away from the young molly, a very tall figure rose from behind the barbed wire. Amidst the mist, it may at first appear to be just a shadow, but upon closer inspection one would see dark clothes with deep folds, thick shiny galoshes, and a hood pulled over its head, carefully shielding its face from view. Its breath was loud and noisy, slow as if labored but not quite. Its movement was slow and deliberate as it crunched past the glass that littered the dark sand, wielding something in its massive hand as it slowly clipped away at the barbed wire.
Hearing the little cat’s shriek, it slowly looked up, its tool cutting with through the wire with a harsh snap!

Batwing with Pondfrost, Seapaw, and Leafriver || Camp
Batwing berated himself silently when Leafriver reminded him that Ivybloom was there to take care of Foampaw. He still wasn't very prepared to try mentoring - after all, he'd been an apprentice alongside Foampaw only a couple moons ago. He didn't know when he was supposed to try teaching her or when to step back and let the more senior medicine cats take the lead. He hoped he'd get the hang of it with experience, but he wasn't doing too hot so far.
He took a deep breath to steady himself and bring himself out of his own head. "Come on, we should be fine to go now that we've got our whole group," he said, tailtip twitching nervously. "Hopefully we don't end up running into the hunting patrol while we're out," he added quietly.

Turtlepaw with Brackishclaw, Glassyfern, and Puddlespots || Camp
Turtlepaw's chest puffed up in pride at the thought of fighting off an entire rogue army by herself. "Of course I could, and I wouldn't even get a scratch," she boasted. She was happy that the warriors were treating her like a friend, even though she was just an apprentice. It felt nice.
When Puddlespots joined them, she grinned. He was so much more fun than his sister - he actually liked to do reckless things and act like an actual warrior. With a jolt of surprise, Turtlepaw realized that she and Seapaw were a bit like Pondfrost and Puddlespots. Though her thoughts were quickly swept away when Brackishclaw offered a competition. "Of course! I'm going to win, anyway." She thought for a moment, "Hey, let's say that if I win.....you guys have to do the rest of my elder duties for today."

Virgil with Tangledthrush, Fadedecho, and Swallowdive || Makeshift camp
Virgil felt like he was being passed through a whirlwind - the strange cat made him uncomfortable, Tangledthrush's explanations seemed to fly right over his head, and now some odd tom was harassing him. His fur puffed up slightly, as he was already uncomfortable, and he didn't exactly appreciate a stranger's scrutiny. "I.....I can fish," he protested, sounding about as confrontational as Virgil could get - which was not very.
He was a little embarrassed that Tangledthrush was sticking up for him, but also glad. At least she liked him, and she seemed to be the boss of the other cats. "He doesn't sound very honest," he murmured, looking away from Swallowdive, "he just sounds mean."

Cloudwatcher - Open || Camp
Cloudwatcher was awoken by the sounds of commotion. He'd been sleeping lightly, anyway, and it wasn't very hard to wake him up. When he poked his head out of the warrior's den to see what the fuss was about, only to be surprised when he saw Brackishclaw and Batwing going at it. Brackishclaw he would've expected, but he never saw Batwing as the type to get into fights. He waited until the two broke up to fully emerge from the den.
He saw Mockingbird and Cypresstail together towards the fresh-kill pile, and he shot his mate a smile. Cloudwatcher didn't want to interrupt whatever she and her father were talking about, however, so he turned his attention to the apprentice's den instead. He stood still, stumped as to if he should go wake Pitchpaw up or not. He didn't want to lose any training, but at the same time, he wasn't sure if Pitchpaw would be mad at him for being woken and not cooperate with him. It was painfully obvious that Cloudwatcher wasn't entirely sure how to be a mentor yet.
