Stormstar.
Despite it all the leader chuckled when he heard the medicine cat’s scathing tone, that tom has eyes in the back of his head,, it was something that during his short leadership the tom had come to learn as fact. It felt like he was barely able to have a thorn in the pad of his paw without the medicine cat noticing it. The silver tabby knew it was hardly a bad thing, such an intuitive medicine cat was undoubtedly a benefit to the clan, but right now the injured warrior was rather rueful of it. ”Badger,” was what he offered as way of response, nodding respectfully to Whispereing as he entered the medicine cat den, holding the injured leg a few inches off the ground in an effort not to worsen the throbbing wound. “If it’s any consolation I didn’t go looking for a fight,” some days it felt more like the fight came looking for him. Of all cats Stormstar was the least likely to even consider attempting it, built like a brick wall as he might well have been, even he knew better than to attempt to take a badger down alone. Sure he’d escaped it in somewhat better condition than the opposing creature, now every inch of him was screaming a reminder about how it was never a good idea. Slumping into a sitting position, grimacing as he did so but managed to hide the reaction somewhat. In spite of the pain, he shook his head. “I can manage,” the stoic but stupid tom cat insisted with the most convincing smile he could muster. “Keep them for someone who’ll need them.” Whisperwing, ᏼꮖꭱꭰꭱꮖ🇳ꮐ .

Jaypaw with Stormstar [ 🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ ] and Whisperwing [ ᏼꮖꭱꭰꭱꮖ🇳ꮐ ]. ⋆ The medicine cat apprentice had still been curled up, asleep in her moss nest off to the side against the base of a boulder. When Stormstar had entered, reeking of badger and blood, she lifted her head absently, blue eyes narrow. Jaypaw laid her head back down on her paws and heaved a sigh, hoping she would have the opportunity to fall back asleep. However, with Whisperwing's voice drifting and the scuffling of paws, Jaypaw heaved herself out of her nest, her sleep permanently disrupted. She was annoyed by this, and the tabby's silver coat was bristling as she rounded the corner of the boulder to face her mentor and her leader, limping heavily. "What's going on out here?" She hissed softly, looking between the toms. When she caught sight of Stormstar, her expression grew puzzled and almost disdainful. She skirted the pair and looked her leader up and down. "Lookin' good, Stormstar." She sneered.

Owlstep // in camp // open It had to be the pain, Owlstep summarized as a scowl twisted his rounded face and his large amber eyes slowly opened to narrow slits. The shocks of searing discomfort traveling up his hind leg into his hip definitely had to be the cause of his rude awakening. He had ignored the increasing ache for days, letting the wound fester, unwilling to burden Whisperwing or her apprentice with his moaning. Unfortunately, it was quickly becoming unbearable. Ears flattened back against his skull, the older tom sat up in his nest, clenching his jaw tightly against the rising hiss in his throat. A single grunt is all that escaped as he seated himself, him bum leg settled stiffly at his side, rigid with pain. The tom exhaled loudly through his nose before he began to long, drawn out job of washing his thick coat. He patiently tugged at the little pieces of moss that had become knotted in the silvery gray fur, his tongue practiced and firm. Owlstep didn't truly care for his appearance, or he hadn't before he'd been forced into the Elder's den prematurely. Now if even a hair was out of place, he noticed that his clan-mates tended to give him looks of either pity or worry - as though he'd lost the ability to care for himself when he was injured. The tom rolled his eyes at the thought, but there was affection in the semi-annoyed movement.
Swiftclaw // at Moon Hollow // open A flash of black and white and then a splash of brilliant red. The young hare, which had made a grave mistake wandering so far from it's burrow in desperation for food, now lay dead at Swiftclaw's feet. He lifted a bloodied paw and licked the mess away, taking his time, his pose relaxed and unhurried. Carefully leaning down, the large tom grabbed the pray in his jaws, easily lifting it and turning back in the direction he'd come from. Being up with the dawn meant time for the quiet warrior to be on his own, which he greatly treasured. Especially when he could get some hunting done before annoying paws were trampling through the ravine, scaring away all the decent prey. He had two shrews and a mouse buried on a path that led back to camp and he supposed now was the time to trail back and gather his kills.
Littlerose // in camp // open Going on Moon-High patrol had worn Littlerose out but it had still taken the calico a little while to fully fall asleep. She'd tossed and turned in her nest, which was near her sister's, until finally she had ended up curling up underneath the warm moss onto the dusty floor. It was an odd position for sure, with her rump half in the air and her head tucked under both her paws but the she-cat had finally found sleep. Soft snores, more like deep raspy breaths, escaped her muzzle as she wiggled to bury herself even deeper under her nest. Her limbs felt heavy with exhaustion but her whiskers and ears would twitch ever now and then, from some dream or another that clearly held her captive.
Lionpaw // in camp // open Lionpaw shifted in her nest, her legs churning as though she was running from some invisible foe. A mewl, like that of a frightened kit escaped her lips as her head thrashed to the side. Luckily, for her sleeping den-mates and herself, her ear got crushed against the ground and caused her to be pushed into consciousness. Her soft green eyes slid open, blearily taking in the dim light of the den. Breathing heavily, her heart thundered in her chest, pressing urgently against her rib cage in an attempt to leave her body far behind. Her head felt fuzzy, as though it were full of kitten fluff and an ache spread from her forehead down her spine. Sleeping in strange positions and getting restless sleep was doing little for Lionpaw's physical or mental health. Whats worse is she couldn't even remember what the dreams were about. Shifting onto her stomach, she glanced around a bit sheepishly, worried she might have woken one of her den-mates.
Timbershade // in camp // with Redwillow [🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ] Shifting in his nest, which was placed near the entrance of the den, Timbershade released a large yawn and let his paws stretch out in front of him. He wasn't the type to linger in sleepy moments, especially in the mornings, instead the tom got to his paws before arching his back and giving his pelt a firm shake. The dim sunlight, which was just beginning to filter through the trees, hit his apple green eyes forcing him to squint for a moment as he let himself adjust. His attention was instantly drawn to a familiar red shape near the camp entrance and a little grin turned up his maw. "Where you off to, Little Red?" he asked his mate, using the nickname he'd given her fairly early on in their relationship. Timbershade had always been a bit of a charmer and even more of a tease. His paw steps had been silent leading him to stand directly behind her, his eyes twinkling with clear amusement. It appeared that his heavily pregnant Redwillow had decided to slip out of camp before most cats had even left their nests, which he had to admit was clever on her part.
( I am sorry. These are awful. Even I admit, they're bad. I'm really sorry. /hides/ )

Whisperwing with Stormstar, Jaypaw 🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ , 𝑓𝑜𝑥
An ear twitched as he heard that their leader had been out having a fight with a badger this early in the morning. "I am no warrior, but I would think most cats would suggest not facing off against a badger by yourself," Whisperwing did have to offer as he clogged most of Stormstar's wounds up with the cobwebs wound around his paw. "Not a very wise pursuit, I would think. I do hope that the badger currently looks worse than you." Though he doubted that somewhat. One badger was sure to do more damage than one cat could do, even one such as Stormstar. "And might I remind you that you are our leader," he added, setting his paw down, "You are supposed to be setting an example. Fighting a badger by yourself is not a good one. What would happen if you had lost a life?"
Though the sudden entrance of Jaypaw did break his concentration for just a moment, lashing his tail somewhat at the tone his apprentice took with Stormstar. He knew that the apprentice had gone through a lot and was bitter about her injury, but that was still no reason to speak to Stormstar like that. "Jaypaw," Whisperwing meowed evenly as his blue gaze flickered between Stormstar and Jaypaw, "Mind fetching me some dandelion leaves?" He gave Stormstar a look as he spoke, almost challenging the tom to say something. He might have turned them down, but Whisperwing could see he was in pain and needed them, despite the fact he was saying otherwise.

Cherrypaw with Littlerose little blu ♥
Cherrypaw felt as though she had been tossing and turning in her nest for ages, aws just itching to wake up and race out of camp in search of something interesting to do. Eventually, the pale tabby couldn't hold in the energy anymore, practically jumping to her paws with irritation from lying still for so long, arching her back into a quick stretch before padding out of the Apprentice den, blinking as she moved into the morning sun. At first, she wanted to go and find Jaypaw, spotting her littermate after only a quick glance. The apprentice smiled, opening his mouth to purr a greeting, but paused when she saw Jaypaw stand and enter the Medicine Cat den instead.
Frowning, Cherrypaw lashed her tail in annoyance before another cat quickly came to mind. With another glance around camp, the silver apprentice was quick to notice that her mentor was not around, so she decided to go and find her herself. Tail high, the small she-cat raced towards the Warrior's den, poking her head in, blinking at the gloom before she saw who she was looking for. "Littlerose," she meowed softly, squeezing into the den and padding to her mentor, reaching out to poke her with a paw, "Psst. Littlerose."

Hickorybreeze with Lionpaw [ little blu ♥ ]. ⋆ Hickorybreeze had woken a little earlier than usual and had decided to take it easy. The tom had watched Swiftclaw leave already for a solo hunting patrol and admittedly was impressed with the tom. Hickorybreeze, however, had dedicated his morning to relax in the peace and quiet of the den and get a good grooming in. Once his thick fur was mostly brushed through and it had gotten later in the morning, the tom decided to hunt his apprentice down. He stretched before exiting he den, blinking at the brightness outside. Meandering over to the apprentice's den, the tom's ears pricked up attentively as he heard what sounded like fearful mewling coming from inside. His pace quickened and he thrust his head into the den, looking around in concern. "Everything okay in here, kiddos?" He called quietly as his eyes adjusted, searching for who had made the sound. His amber eyes landed on his apprentice, Lionpaw, as she sat up in her nest, looking flustered and embarrassed. A from marked his handsome face and the tom had genuine concern in his eyes. Lionpaw was his first ever apprentice and the young tom took an immense amount of pride in her and was fond of the she-cat. He took a few steps inside, looking a little unsure of whether it would be better for him to approach and comfort his apprentice or just leave her with some privacy. "...just a dream?" The tom asked tentatively, wanting to make certain that the apprentice wasn't in any danger or pain.

Littlerose // in camp // with Cherrypaw [ᏼꮖꭱꭰꭱꮖ🇳ꮐ] The molly was more than startled to feel the soft jab to her hip, which was the only part of the feline that was truly visible underneath her mess of moss and feathers. Jerking into the land of the living, wild amber eyes searched for her 'attacker' and found the familiar silver and black tabby face of her apprentice. Relief flooded Littlerose, her claws sliding back into her dainty paws, but the calming emotion was quickly replaced by a flash of annoyance. Sitting up, shedding her nest as though it were a second skin, the warrior eyed Cherrypaw with barely concealed irritation. "We'll speak outside, so you don't wake anyone else up. Especially not those who were on Moon-High patrol," the meaningful glance she gave the younger she-cat was about as stern as she got. Still, after sleeping for only a few hours she was a bit on the grouchier side this morning. Resisting the urge to stomp like an immature kit, the dilute calico weaved her way carefully out of the Warrior's Den, turning to face her apprentice once she had cleared the entrance. "What is so important, Cherrypaw?" she asked, and though her tone was still a bit sharp, her anger was mostly related to exhaustion and her eyes had begun to soften.

Stormstar.
“What do you mean?” The tom scoffed in a falsification of utter disgust, shaking his head in horror. “I always start my morning with a good old fashioned badger fight, no better way to start off the day.” His ears twitched as the medicine cat apprentice trudged into the den, clearly pieved their chances at a sleep in were thoroughly quashed. “And just before bed a skirmish with a wolf, helps me sleep.” He added, grateful to find humour instead of concentrating on the pain. He regarded the apprentice with an amused look, “Thank you, I believe blood matches my coat splendidly,” he returned with a twitch of his whiskers. Stifling a hiss of pain as the tom cat began applying cobwebs to his wounded hind leg. ”As I said I didn’t go out looking for a fight,” he repeated, resisting the urge to snap the limb back. “And thank StarClan it wasn’t one of the apprentices who found it,” he added grimacing at the very idea. A youngster would have stood next to no chance. “StarClan, Whisperwing, that leg is attached and I’d appreciate it if you could keep it that way,” he hissed finally, though there was a playful glint in his gaze, though not quite enough to disguise the bitter pain. He appreciated the medicine cat as talented in his field, but the pain of his injuries and not exactly gentle touch of the tabby weren’t a fantastic combination right now. He rolled his eyes at the insistence, “No need to bother, Jaypaw, I’m fine.” He added with something a little more forceful to his tone. “Redwillow is due any day, and a patrol will need to be sent out to drive the badger off once and for all,” he reminded the medicine cat with a gentle but authoritative tone. He would hate the idea that he might have stolen herbs from someone who need it more. Whisperwing and Jaypaw, ᏼꮖꭱꭰꭱꮖ🇳ꮐ and 𝑓𝑜𝑥. Redwillow. “Not very little any more,” the russet queen replied quietly, her ear twitching back in his direction but she didn’t move to look at him. It was true, small as she was compared to most she had least grown a little since that nickname had become common between the mate’s, that and substantially rounder. She said nothing for a little longer, staring wishfully out of camp and daydreaming about being just about anywhere but the confines of the dark, grim cavern they called home. Before it had become her prison the shecat had loved the place, the only camp she’d ever known. But now it was all she knew and she was bored of the bleak greys, even prohibited from climbing the camp walls to explore, for fear she’d hurt herself or the lives she carried. A sentiment she understood, but imagined dying of boredom wouldn’t be too healthy for the kits either. ”Nowhere,” she replied at last, trying to hide the annoyance from her voice that she’d been caught in her attempt at freedom, she turned with a flick of her tail. Rubbing her head against his chin, “You know as well as I do, Whisperwing would have my pelt to line his nest if he found me outside,” hoping her excuses might hide her intent. Maybe she’d be able to try again once the warriors were out on patrol, she longed for fresh air. Even if it was as simple as a brief walk to the top of the ravines and back, a tiny bit of normalcy, before motherhood hit her like a freight train.

Jaypaw with Stormstar [ 🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ ] and Whisperwing [ ᏼꮖꭱꭰꭱꮖ🇳ꮐ ]. ⋆ Jaypaw watched her mentor work, not making any attempt to lift a paw to help. Whisperwing's scolding of Stormstar amused her and likely only solidified the she-cat in thinking she could say whatever she wanted, even to her clan's leader. However, the tom's words amused her, and she tried to stifle a laugh with a twitch of her whiskers. She liked the tom, regardless of her brash attitude. "You're definitely making a statement," She responded, nose scrunching a bit as she gave some of his wounds a sniff, the scent of blood attacking her senses. The talk of life losing caught her interest and her ear twitched as she listened. "Did you lose a life, Stormstar?" She asked bluntly, not bothering to damped her curiosity. "You look bad enough to have," She snorted, almost sounding amused.
When Whisperwing spoke to her, her face screwed up in an annoyed expression. "Dandelion leaves?" She echoed, looking between the toms. "Didn't Stormstar just say that he didn't want any?" The silver tabby huffed, looking put off and again not making a move to help the medicine cat. "Besides, you always ask me if I mind. You know I mind whenever you ask me to get your stupid herbs," She hissed softly, her tail lashing in a circle. Whisperwing should know I don't give a mouse's behind about healing. However, her blue eyes did flick towards their herb store for a moment. Some comfrey might be a good idea too... The molly thought to herself, looking distracted for a moment. Those wounds must sting.

Lionpaw // in camp // with Hickorybreeze [𝑓𝑜𝑥] The apprentice looked up sharply at the appearance of her mentor, not even having noticed that he'd entered the den. Her pelt prickled hotly with her embarrassment and she resisted the urge to lick at her chest fur. Still, another part of her was relieved that she had someone to break the empty silence in the den after such an intense dream. With shaking paws, the molly forced herself up and out of her nest, away from her sleeping den mates and towards Hickorybreeze. She tried to smile, but it felt strange and wrong, as though her lips had forgotten how to form the happy expression. The pain in her skull faded to a dull ache, one Lionpaw could and would ignore throughout the day. "Yeah, I'm sorry I was being noisy," she quickly apologized to her mentor, casting an anxious glance around the den. The frequency of these nightmares were both alarming and annoying, almost to the point where Lionpaw wondered if it would be better to move her nest outside the den. She wished she could remember what even scared her so bad, but the dreams always faded as soon as her eyes opened. "I wish I didn't dream," the molly admitted, almost to herself. In fact, she hadn't even realized she's spoken aloud.

Cherrypaw with Littlerose little blu ♥
Cherrypaw jumped back just a little with surprise when she realized how she had scared Littlerose, though still making sure not to stand on any tails as she didn't fancy getting on the bad side of any of the warriors. Especially not someone like Shadowfern as Cherrypaw knew from existence the dark-furred warrior was not a very nice cat. She had opened her mouth to speak again, but quickly clamped it shut at her mentor's words, just nodding her head slightly before following after the calico from the warrior's den.
Just at Littlerose's tone, Cherrypaw could tell that she was not very happy about being woken up. The apprentice found her ears flattening, eyes case downwards to her paws where he tail awkwardly curled over them. "I was bored and stuff," she muttered anxiously, only briefly glancing up at her mentor, "And was wondering if we could do some training now was all." She shuffled a paw against the ground as she spoke, shifting somewhat uncomfortably under Littlerose's gaze. She hadn't meant to put her mentor in a bad mood, but she couldn't help but want to do something exciting now.
Whisperwing with Stormstar, Jaypaw 🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ , 𝑓𝑜𝑥
The cream and tabby tom stifled a small purr of laughter of his own, "Well, I would suggest putting aside this morning activity in the future. If you want to keep your limbs attached to your body, that is." Though he was not in a position to openly scold their leader in such a way, it was his job to care about Stormstar's health. And fighting a budger was not doing very well for said health. "Your blood would prefer to be on the inside of your body," he did have to comment with a small meow as he inspected the cobweb clogged wounds. It was soaking up the blood nicely and he could remove them in a moment and start with some other herbs to speed the recovery.
Ears twitching at the leade's words, Whisperwing hardly looked very bothered. "Your whining is not helping very much. just sit still," he scolded as he started to peel some of the cobweb's out of the wound. Then he turned to Jaypaw for just a brief moment, "These wounds do not look bad enough to result in any life loss. Though you are close." And Whisperwing would prefer if Stormstar didn't go around losing any lives because he was being foolish.
"He did, but he's going to do as he's told," he meowed, staring down his apprentice with a rather annoyed twitch of his tail, "And so are you. Unfortunately, young one, as your mentor, it is my job to give you orders. Dandelion leaves. Now. And some goldenrod and horsetail for a poltice to help heal and stop any infection from setting in."

Hickorybreeze with Lionpaw [ little blu ♥ ]. ⋆ The warrior did his best to hide the concern in his expression, not wanting to make the molly feel worse than she already did. As she approached him, he bent down and deposited a swift lick on the top of her head as a means of comfort. "Don't apologize," He consoled her with soft eyes. "Besides, looks like no one noticed. No harm, no fowl, right?" With this he gestured with his tail around the apprentice's den to the snoring apprentices who remained undisturbed in their nests. The ruddy tom turned away from her and padded towards the den's entrance, gesturing for his apprentice to follow him. "Let's get you some fresh air," He suggested. As he turned his back, he almost missed Lionpaw's last comment. Hickorybreeze stopped walking for a moment, frowning as he thought. The tom wished he knew better how to comfort the apprentice, He had begun to notice little signs that this had happened more than once and it was obviously starting to affect the molly. Turning back to her with a soft smile, he spoke again, "Have you asked Whisperwing about it yet? He proposed with a shrug of his shoulders. Maybe he can give her something that'll help more than I can.

Stormstar.
Feeling less a leader and more a kitten being scolded by his mother, the leader let out a simple chuckle. As annoying as the warrior could be at times, Stormstar did appreciate the medicine cat for the efforts he made for the clan, and was all too aware that he’d have likely died a few times over had it not been for Whisperwing’s help, even before he had graduated to the role of leader. ”If I’d lost a life I wouldn’t be hear right now, but lost somewhere in the territory unconscious,” the leader returned with a twitch of his whiskers. Though he had only lost a single life thus far, he knew it wasn’t something you walked off quite so easily, and a patrol would no doubt have to come and pull him out of a ditch somewhere. “If I were to lose a life anytime soon it would probably be from Whisperwing losing his temper with me once and for all,” he said chuckling. Admittedly he was surprised by the spark within the young apprentice, and watched the two’s dynamic with mild but well disguised interest. Only speaking up when he heard the young shecat he outright rude to her mentor. ”You should learn to be more respectful young one,” he warned with a stony tone, a side of the leader that wasn’t too common for anyone to see. “He’s far kinder than I am, and I’ll happily create a new position of tick picker only for you,” Stormstar was a kind tom. But didn’t want the young shecat getting too big for her paws, and he disliked such outright forms of disrespect towards a cats mentor, let alone in regards to the medicine cat. Jaypaw with Stormstar [ 🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ ] and Whisperwing [ ᏼꮖꭱꭰꭱꮖ🇳ꮐ ]. ⋆ Jaypaw's tail drooped a little and her expression drew bored at Stormstar's explanation of life-losing. The apprentice understood it for the most part but... something about how the leader talked about how he would have been lifeless and helpless after losing one seemed weak compared to the power of having nine lives. Then again, she thought, that was probably Starclan's point. "Well. That's lame." She commented flatly before her attention turned back to her mentor. When Whisperwing corrected her in that the wounds weren't bad enough to kill him, her pride was a little injured. While she took no pride in healing, she still usually liked to feel like she knew what she was talking about, even when she didn't.
As Whisperwing's scolding continued, the tabby's ears went flat against her head. It irritated her when Whisperwing got stern, even when she new she deserved it. She didn't like feeling like she was being treated like a kit. "Don't call me young one." The nickname always hit like the strike of a claw. It's not like I ever wanted to be your apprentice! She thought bitterly. The medicine cat should be out in the forest right now, training with some strong, brave warrior and not sitting in a stuffy den staring at leaves all day. Cherrypaw should be here instead. She thought bitterly, resisting the urge to spit.
It wasn't until Stormstar spoke that she actually did let out a fierce hiss, eyes burning. When she spoke, she didn't have any sass or feisty spark in her tone. She just sounded cold. "If that's all you think I'm good for, Stormstar." Is all she said in response to his "tick-picker" comment before slinking away from the herb store. Pawing through the leaves, stems, and berries, she selected the herbs her mentor had instructed, rolling them into a bundle so she could pick them up in her mouth. While she followed the order, she did so slowly. Jaypaw didn't feel much in the mood to be jumping to Stormstar's aid at the moment. The leader could sit without his dandelion leaves for a moment longer.

Timbershade // in camp // with Redwillow [🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ ] The tom let his eyes roam over his mate at her first comment, taking in her swollen belly. A sense of pride and a bit of trepidation hit him. He often wondered what kind of father he would be, it was one of the few topics that truly made him worry. Still, he was just as eager to meet the little fluff balls as Redwillow was. Timbershade was good at reading people, he always had been, and he knew how his beloved felt about being stuck within the walls of camp. Honestly, he can't say he blamed her. He couldn't really imagine being stuck, unable to go on patrol or hunt. Sympathy softened his teasing tone as he purred, "You'll always be Little Red to me." Rubbing his chin against Redwillow's forehead, the brown tabby dipped down to press his nose gently against her cheek. A low chuckle escaped him at the mental image of their medicine cat lining his nest with soft red fur and he nodded in agreement. Whisperwing took his duties very seriously and Timbershade admired him for that, he certainly could never remember the uses for all those herbs. "You're right... but I think I can take him, if you're really desperate to go on a little walk?" he offered with a mischievous smile, tilting his head towards the entrance.
Littlerose // in camp // with Cherrypaw [ᏼꮖꭱꭰꭱꮖ🇳ꮐ ] Littlerose watched as her apprentice flinched, curling her tail around herself in a defensive gesture. The little anxious glance up at her only softened the warrior even more. She had meant to be stern, not make worry the she-cat into a submissive state. Merely an apologetic one would have sufficed. The molly let out a soft sigh at Cherrypaw's explanation, not really knowing what else she had been expecting. She knew her apprentice's lack of activity made her antsy. Shaking her head fondly, her deep amber eyes rolled before she nodded. "Okay, Cherrypaw, I understand. Why don't we check with Redwillow and Owlstep, to see if they need anything. If not, then we can head out and do some hunting, unless we get put on patrol," Littlerose offered, tilting her head, trying to blink the sleep out of her eyes. She really just wanted to head back inside and catch a few more 'z's but new that would be impossible. A yawn stretched her jaws as she gazed around camp tiredly, wondering who else happened to be awake this early in the morning.
Lionpaw // in camp // with Hickorybreeze [𝑓𝑜𝑥] The young molly felt her tense muscles relax and her trembling subside when Hickorybreeze gave her a comforting lick between the ears and his familiar scent washed over her. Knowing she wasn't alone was doing wonders to make her feel safer already. Lionpaw cast another glance around, realizing that the ruddy tom was right. Her den mates were still fast asleep, not at all disturbed by her whimpering and flailing. That was another relief and she took a deep, shuddering breath as she followed the older feline out of the Apprentices Den. The fresh air felt lovely, wrapping around her heated body and filling her lungs until they ached. This had been just what she needed. "N-No. I don't remember the dreams anyway.... they're probably about you're hunting drills," Lionpaw quickly spoke up, her sage colored orbs flying wide with alarm. Whisperwing would probably just tell her that she was crazy and the nightmares embarrassed her enough. Hoping that her attempt at teasing had changed the subject, she flashed a wavering smile, though this one was more sincere than her first attempt. The molly truly did feel better, especially out in camp with her mentor beside her. There were no monsters out here....

Redwillow. Affection glowed in her gaze for the tom, she knew the warrior had some degree of nervousness about becoming a father. As was only natural, she herself was terrified at the prospect of it, or more accurately the idea that she would be terrible at it. But she harboured not a single doubt that the tom would be a brilliant father, and with any luck his brilliance would act as something as a counter balance to how awful she was going to prove to be. “Fortunately I’ll become something like my old self soon,” she said with a shrug, the slender queen felt ungainly and itchy like this. Vulnerable and barely like her paws were her own, but the one light at the end of the tunnel was that it would all be worth it eventually, and it wasn’t going to be too much longer of a wait. She rubbed against him, taking comfort in his familiarness to ease her boredom slightly. The kits would come soon, and then she’d be free to leave camp as she pleased, at least every once in a while. When she convinced the little ones to sleep and let her have a moment alone. She grinned, rasping her tongue across her rounded purr, chuckling at the sensation of kicking that began from inside. She remained pressed against him, sharing the sensation that she admittedly had only recently gotten used to it. It was still bizarre to her, but knew it was just a sign that the lives she carried were healthy and safe. Redwillow paused at his response, looking at him questioningly, worried it might be some cruel prank. She loved Timbershade, but knew he wasn’t beyond the odd mean joke. “Are you serious?” She questioned, an eyebrow arched, trying not to look as hopeful as she felt.

Whisperwing with Stormstar, Jaypaw 🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ, 𝑓𝑜𝑥
Whisperwing couldn't help but snort just a little, "If you had lost a life, you would most likely be fox food by now." An unconscious cat was easy pickings for any predator which happen to come along. And while he didn't like to think that there were many foxes prowling about out there ready to hurt the Clan's warriors and apprentices, he knew it was possible. And that was why he was extra cross at Stormstar for wandering around outside camp by himself. While nine lives might seem like a blessing, it was a little pointless if he ended up falling unconscious and there was no one around to save his life. "Don't tempt me," he added with a purr of amusement, using his teeth to pull another clump of cobwebs out of the wounds, carelessly spitting them to the side to be cleaned up once he was done mopping up the rest of the wounds.
He twitched an ear as Stormstar added in with his own scolding of Jaypaw, shaking his head softly at the she-cats return words. "No, you are worth much more than that," he did have to admit softly, sending Stormstar a hard glance which could read as encourage her right now. Whisperwing knew that her injury had caused the apprentice to become bitter to the world, he knew that but he didn't know what he could really do about it. But the tom wanted to believe that maybe one day, Jaypaw would grow into her role and flourish as a Medicine Cat, though he knew she would always miss training to be a warrior like her sibling. But first he would need to smooth out the kinks, knowing full well that Jaypaw was taking her time with the requested herbs on purpose at this point. "Come on Jaypaw," he meowed after a moment, putting the last patch of bloodied cobwebs to the side, "Let's not wait for the grass to grow."
Cherrypaw with Littlerose little blu ♥
When Littlerose's tone did lighten somewhat, Cherrypaw lifted her head, amber gaze finally fixing on her mentor as she slowly uncurled her tail from over her paws. Though she still felt a little bad about disrupting the warrior's sleep. But the apprentice really couldn't help her itchy paws, the need to get out of camp and do something interesting. Maybe practice hunting or learn some new battle moves she could show Jaypaw later. Though her littermate had become the Medicine Cat Apprentice, Cherrypaw was sure she could still be a warrior someday. She just needed to practice.
Though her shoulder's did slump somewhat as Littlerose told her they should check on Owlstep and Redwillow. "Ugh," the she-cat complained rather quickly, wrinkling her nose at the idea of doing something as boring as that, "But Owlstep will just ask me to de-tick his tail or something!" And she didn't want to do that, she wanted to go hunting and to run free around the territory to get some of the energy out of her bones. "Can't we do something interesting? Pleeeeeease?"

Stormstar.
He hoped he hadn’t overstepped, but didn’t necessarily feel guilty for what he had said. The youngster needed to learn to follow orders given to her by her mentor, under certain circumstances that might well be the difference between life and death. She might not have wanted the position she had now, but unfortunately that had been the hand she had been dealt, and as far as what the leader had heard, the young shecat had some talent. If only she could learn to use those skills in the right way worked in mysterious ways, the leader had come to know that as fact. And he hoped with their guidance she could become a brilliant medicine cat. Stormstar twitched his ear back at the tom, and only shrugged his shoulders. Remaining silent for now as he lowered himself to his belly, the blood had been staunched and now the adrenaline of the fight had drained from him, he felt exhausted. He shifted his hind leg, testing it tentatively and almost immediately regretting the attempt, he sighed softly. ”Reslly there is no need for the dandelion leaves,” he insisted again, hoping to make the medicine cats life a little easier, somewhat ironically. ”Just something to prevent infection will be fine, after all this I’d rather not lose a life to infection after all of this nonsense.”
