i don't think i've experienced that - i did get a new window popup about "searchlock" but i don't know if this site had anything to do with it seeing as i go on about 20 sites every ten minutes. have you ruled out every other source?

I have yet to receive anything like this-- do you know if it's an ad or if it's just a random pop up that you're only seeing on this site and/or others?

One day my security system on my computer, whenever I opened a certain threads, a block up would appear and tell me it was a "malicious website/link" and I'd get redirected back to OTD. At first I thought it as cause I turned AdBlock off, but I've had it off for a while and it doesn't seem to be the case.

The only time I remember seeing it was a thread that had a yt video. It was only causing a problem with one of my security systems.

Whenever I use the forums on my computer, I don't experience with any ads even with AdBlock off & having it to be safe with giving me ads on this site in particular. I also do not have the issue on my phone.
Could be a certain ad itself though I'm not too sure. edit; What kind of yt video was it?

I don't remember it was like a week ago, and I don't know how to go through the history and I also don't remember which of my secruity systems blocked the page.

Hmm. Try googling "biexel"; it's related to the link it's redirecting to. From what I've found so far, biexel is malware.

It sounds like you've got an anti virus program installed that monitors your internet and attempts to block threats. It could be that it thinks an advert is a threat and so throws up a bunch of stuff. Webroot looks to be an anti virus company, from a quick search. So this looks very plausible.

You could have some sort of adware on your computer that is generating these kinds of ads. Intrusive pop-up ads/ads others aren't getting is likely that. Run an anti-virus scan to detect these files to delete. If you don't already have an anti-virus, malwarebytes is a good thing to get.

Is the video ad promoting something? Usually other software or install/downloading/updating something?
Once you get Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, run the scan and do as it tells you too. The scan may take up to and over 30 minutes tho

Not me. I feel it's just your computer. My 10 year old windows computer gets viruses whenever I get a new thread all the time. But I got my stuff together and bought a Macbook so I don't have that problem any longer.

Proboards doesn't have video pop-up ads. That's most likely adware (virus).
