(As for my characters, I'm good with Styx and Casper being placed in any alliances. Casper will likely die here soon, however, I'm pretty much fine with anyone killing him at any time.)

Blaise Barr[ district 2 ][ location: mudpits, tailing Simic ][ status: uninjured ][ ~โัััฮนะธั ] The Cornucopia would be a bloodbath, and Blaise did not have death wish.
He plunged into the water and swam in the opposite direction, pushing through the quiet waves until he felt the ground rise to meet his feet. He ran. It wasn't long until he caught sight of someone else who had the same idea as himโsomeone else was also heading towards the islands in the opposite direction. They were too far to identify, though.
Careful, he can't know you're following him, Blaise reminded himself. Assume anyone here will kill you on sight.
Running through the shallow water proved way too loud for comfort, and the boy soon settled to wade more quietly and slowly. Once he made it to shore, he would at least be safe from uncertain traps or poisonous animals beneath the marsh's murky surface. Until then, he'd have to make sure the person up ahead didn't leave his sight. Certainly, tailing another tribute could lead to Blaise's death. He didn't want to find out what would happen if that person up ahead ended up being malicious.
His sister might call this hope. Blaise preferred the term "stupid." Regardless, it was the least of many evils. He just wanted to postpone his own murder, or at least not have it be torturous. Did that really need to be rationalized?
Blaise reached the end of the water quickly enough. However, this "land" could not be classified as land; it slid and sank beneath his feet. If Blaise wasn't careful, he'd certainly slip and fall into some other torturous device. He clucked his tongue in disgust as he examined the ground, then flicked his gaze back up to search for the running tribute.
At least he wasn't alone.

The moment the walls dematerialized, Charon shot forwards and dove into the water, propelling herself like a motorboat to shoreโmore specifically, to the Bloodbath. The war cries of other tributes and the metallic clanging of weapons rang from the building. Clearly, others had reached the Cornucopia before her. The battle's commenced for real now, and Charon was still in the water.
Go, go, go! She breathed in a lungful of air before plunging underwater. It was easier to swim this way, and through the murkiness of the lake's surface she'd have advantage when she finally reached the shore. Though her ears were entirely submerged, Charon could not miss the characteristic boom of a mine further up ahead. The first death, and it didn't belong to her.
I can't miss any more of this, she vowed to herself. With all her willpower, she pushed forwardsโinto dirt. Oh, I'm already here.
Her head bubbled to the surface. Hair covered most of her face. Charon remained submerged for a second, her eyes peering through soaked and muddied curls. Now that she was closer, she realized more clearly that it was only the most skilled and the most desperate tributes in the Cornucopia, and all the desperate ones were simply skittering about its edge. It was probably for the best that Charon had less competition, but it also meant fewer kills. She hopped on land and bolted inside. She might've showed up late to this party, but she couldn't miss the next one.
Charon instantly took note of the tributes around her. Many of them were fleeing or had already fled. Only her and the two other careers remained. The floor was not stained with blood as she had expected. No kills? No way. Disappointed and a little confused, Charon swiped a knife from the floor and wrapped her fingers on a metal bar leaning against the wall. Ideally she'd grab a survival pack too, but there weren't any left.
The girl paused a moment, expecting someone stupid to ambush herโbut nothing happened. What? Weren't Rem and Perseus killing machines?
"We should get going!" announced Rem. "Weโll need to find a shelter before the sun goes down."
"Okay." Charon eyed her strangely. "Nobody died here?"

Sorry I'm so late in responding. โโะพฯ Can I claim both the district 6 slots? The boy (Everest Stolz) makes it to the top twelve and the girl (Sage Stolz) will die. They're siblings.

[ Awesome! Well, let me know which slot(s) you want. I can't decide if I want to make a character who attacks the tributes at the cornucopia or one who infiltrates the careers' ranks and tries to kill them all more sneakily. ] Either sounds cool. There's enough space for both, isn't there?

[ Okay, I made a couple of new characters. My plan is for Circe to attack the careers and die at the cornucopia. Jett with stick with them and try to kill them all later. Both will finish in the bottom 12, though. They're basically just a way to stir up drama haha ัฯฯััฮตdัะฝฮนะผะผฮตั My next plan is to have Circe show up. Should I post that soon or would to like to respond for Percy first? ]
[ I'm also totally down to plot if anyone wants to. I don't really have plans for Kaus and the Outliers, so we can cook up some plans for them if anyone is interested c: ]

Chat ;; i can reply with percy pretty soon here, yeah also he's always been mooncake. it's what his lover calls him. my friend and i have him and her character dating and we decided since she's too shy to join anything with other people, that the guy he's SUPPOSED to be dating is a previous (unsuccessful) tribute. don't know how he would've died, but senthyril should've probably won unless he got heckin cheated out of it by a underhanded trick.- - - - -โcrap... i totally forgot why i'm here.โ- - - - -

โ If you swing on me, you better not miss. โ โ โฆ โฆ โฆ โ [ seventeen - District 1 ]
... this is just a border between places ... It was decided that Percy was not someone who enjoyed swamps. It smelled horrid, the ground was never firm, unless you wanted to move, in which, it would tug and pull on you, making it difficult for one to move through the wet, squishy land with ease. Thankfully, he was built for difficult terrain, though his form might not show it under the clothing as easily. His dark blue gaze quickly went around, landing on the few other Careers that were there. A frown went on his lips, as he stared around, struggling on a certain foothold, nearly loosing his balance as his foot was held back an extra second longer than he had expected, recovering quickly as he turned his head back and forth.
Confusion, and concern, settled through him. Was everyone here that much of a coward? Taking a bit of rope from one of the backpacks, he made a make-shift hold for his chakrams at his belt, mulling over and trying to find something he'd like. His eyes glanced over to the small girl. He couldn't remember her name, so he figured she didn't make a good enough reason for him to remember. Considering she nearly died a moment before, his disinterested look was quick to show there was a reason he didn't remember her name, focusing on picking through what he wanted, his eyes nearly glowing with excitement as he saw a scythe. Though it was smaller than he expected, he was more than happy to take it up and use it. Two handed weapons were nice for offensive and defensive purposes.
"We should get going!โ the small girl from District 2 called out. โWeโll need to find a shelter before the sun goes down.โ
Percy's eyebrow raised in her direction, a small huff escaping through his nose. He looked around, still trying to focus on the place around them. It felt more than strange that no one was going to try and grab supplies, or even try to fight. It didn't seem normal at all, that they would risk going into the swampy muck instead of trying to go after the supplies. He knew that the Careers were frightening, he was supposed to be one. But wasn't the risk to be shined out by the reward?
Oh, she's alive, he thought, looking over and seeing Charon. He rolled his shoulders a bit and stared at her for a moment before shrugging, motioning towards the people fleeing in the distance, and then at the girl he had downed. He hadn't exactly paid attention to see if anyone had been killed quite yet. Percy wasn't exactly one who talked and he doubted that anyone here honestly knew sign language, hence his silence.
The most valuable place in most arenas has been the Cornucopia, mooncake. He gritted his teeth and clenched his jaw shut, internally wincing and wanting the voice to be quiet, having other things to focus on right now than his voice. Jeez, didn't you pay attention in class? One of the best ways to get kills is to set up a trap. Something valuable out front and to set up an ambush. It wasn't a bad idea that he had. It worked for him for a bit. Leaving would ruin that plan, however. So he wanted to stay instead, they could use the Cornucopia as shelter, or the trees. Exploring could come after a few kills. It didn't feel right to just have a handful of people dead just yet.
As if to show that he wanted to stick around and keep a firm guard at this place, he swung the scythe down and placed the handle down with a bit of force, a bit of mud splattering on his boots. With his other hand he'd point down at the ground and then the Cornucopia, trying to get his point across.

rem.
It was troubling that only two cannons had sounded. Rem selfishly hoped for a more eventful bloodbath as a way of increasing her odds. Afterall, 1/12 sounded a lot better than 1/22. At the same time, it was foolish to complain when she was alive. Living was the best she could ask for. In truth, she was simply relieved to have avoided the embarrassment of dying first.
She scanned the surrounding water, looking for any more bobbing heads. The boy from District 5 had just arrived. He was lumbering up the muddy hill looking like a half-drowned bear. Dead weight, she thought to herself. Even so, she smiled charmingly as he joined the group. She learned from a young age that the best way to ingratiate herself to people was through flattery. With boys like Jett, a smile went a long way. Even though she viewed him as a weak ally, it was her strategy to keep all her options open.
โThey must have scattered. I guess that means weโre intimidating,โ she responded to Charon. She made a show of stopping to wring the water from her hair. Rem was playing the part of Career-girl, and that involved a touch of vanity. She chewed on the inside of her cheek as she scanned the horizon. Each passing second felt like a wasted opportunity. Perhaps she should have killed the boy from nine. Perhaps she should be swimming to shore, searching for a safe place to sleep. But she didnโt want to seem frantic. More important than doing any of those things was getting her allies to trust her.
โIโll look down there,โ she announced, gesturing to the opposite side of the small island. There were no trees or bushes around the cornucopia, but the terrain was uneven, and she supposed something could be hidden down by the water. She twirled her knife around the knuckle of her index finger as she picked her way down, looking for anything that might be useful. The incline was steeper than she expected, and she was forced to watch her feet to avoid slipping.
When she reached the beach, she failed to see anything noteworthy. The water lapped at the muddy shoreline. She glanced back over her shoulder. The others were in plain sight, and she could hear their voices clearly over the sound of the waves.
Then came the clatter of rocks. She turned, but it was too late: Strong arms lunged out, pulling her violently to the ground. Rem shrieked. She hadn't seen Circe crouching behind the nearby boulder as she was not expecting a tribute to strike her with her allies just up the hill. Her head hit the soft ground, and her legs hit the water. Before she could lash out with her knife, her arm yanked above her head. Circe straddled her, using her size advantage to pin Rem to the ground. The smaller girl wriggled desperately. She managed to push one of Circeโs knees down, making her jolt and narrowly miss Remโs head with the large rock she held between both hands.
โHelp!โ Rem screamed.
The ensuring fight was messy. Rem was more skilled, but Circe had the benefit of both surprise and strength. She was as clumsy as a drunk with her movements, missing Rem a second time as the smaller girl managed to palm her in the face. Rem nearly wrestled herself free, but Circe grabbed her knife hand, squeezing it with an iron grip. By that time, they had slid down the hill and tumbled together into the lake.
What followed was a blurry confusion of splashing water. Rem tried to wrench herself away but she was both pushing and being dragged down. She tried to inhale air but her head was shoved under and water filled her throat. Even her lungs screamed for air her body survival instinct prioritized fighting back. She sliced downward with her knife, but Circeโs grip on her throat pushed her deeper under. There was a terrifying moment as her back hit the sandy bottom where it occurred to her that she might never resurface.

Chat ;; nah, my friend's SUPER shy. she does better for 1 on 1's than a group thing. we've tried. she's too anxious to be around other people for role-playing. it's appreciated tho!
also, i'd totally have percy go after her, but i'm letting anyone else take the chance. percy enjoys killing quite a bit, at least in these regards, due to it making him look a LOT better. so if no one else wants to take the chance, he totally will. but i'll let someone else take the chance for their character to kill.- - - - -โcrap... i totally forgot why i'm here.โ- - - - -

( Sorry I disappeared for a day. I'd send Charon after her, but she's more the type to sit back and watch what happens. If anything, she'd probably turn on Rem the first chance she got. Charon doesn't have the foresight to know that facing off against Rem later in the Games will be more exciting. By the way, is Simic going to react to someone following him? The mud and water on the ground don't exactly make for awesome cover. ~โัััฮนะธัI'll put up something short for a combined Stolz reply/starter and then I'll reply with Charon. )

Sage + Everest [ district 6 ][ location: cornucopia ][ status: uninjured ][ @/relevant_people ] "Look, it's practically silent over there! We have to go to the Cornucopia." Sage grabbed her brother's arm and pulled, trying to walk in the direction of the practically untouched building.
Everest turned on her. "No means no," he growled, stomping for extra emphasis. (He regretted stomping immediately after, since he'd witnessed the tribute earlier get exploded by a landmine. Everest made a mental note to be more self-controlled. He didn't want to accidentally endanger Sage or himself.)
"It can't be that bad." The girl shook the hair out of her face and turned. "Seeya later, bro! I promise I'll survive a little scurry around the place."
Everest scowled and cursed under his breath. For a moment, there was just the splashing of water as Sage waded towards the Cornucopia (and the distant battle between two tributes). Then the brother sighed and moved to follow Sage. Even though his sister didn't turn, he knew she was grinning as he trailed behind her. The muddy land rose beneath them quickly, and soon they were shaking out the mud in their boots at the back side of the Cornucopia.
Everest grabbed hold of his sister's hand. "We move as one. Three pulls is retreat, and you better listen to me."
"Okay, okay, let's go!"
They darted around the perimeter of the building, making sure to stay out of any career's line of sight. Unfortunately, there was nothing for them to collect. The other tributes had already stolen from the outside, meaning that Sage and Everest must face the careers if they wanted supplies.
Sage felt three soft pulls on her arm. With a disappointed cluck of her tongue, she turned and sprinted towards the northern forest with Everest, the brother watching out behind them and the sister rushing forwards.
Splash! A bit of light seemed to shoot past Everest's head, landing in the water just beside them. Everest paled. Were these going to be their last moments? "Run faster!" he whispered frantically.
She heeded Everest's plea, though it came more from her own fear-induced adrenaline rush than anything else. She stopped caring about her own splashing or noiseโclearly another tribute had noticed them regardlessโand bolted for her life. Fortunately, the shiny object was not an explosive, and the siblings managed to crawl onto land unscathed.

( While writing my post for Charon, I unfortunately had to scrap this bit of dialogue. Then I tried pushing it further. I hope you guys find it as funny as I do, but it's 3am for me now so I don't blame anyone if they think it's stupid. I will also think my own joke is stupid also by the time I wake up later today. )
Original: "A drama queen, a little girl, and an edgy video game protagonist. Wow, so intimidating." Variation: "A blue-haired loli, a satellite, and Zelda. Wow, so intimidating."
( I won't be posting my reply now. Gonna wait for when I'm not falling asleep while typing to post, lol. )
