Hello everyone! I am super bored and looking for a couple new one on one role-plays. If anyone is interested, I am still currently laid off thanks to COVID-19, so I'm around pretty much 24/7 right now cause most everything is closed. I know other people aren't as lucky (or unlucky, as I'm starting to see it) and still have work and stuff, so I don't expect you to be around all the time too. I do have other long term role-plays I'm part of, plus I read and write a lot, and I have three big dogs who need exercise and what not, so I may drop off the grid occasionally, but I'll always return sooner or later. Anyway, a few things about my role-play style:
◇ I am very literate, but I don't always write super long posts. I can, and sometimes I do, but I base my posts on quality over quantity more often than not, so I may occasionally write a post that only has a couple sentences. However, I do always try to make sure there is enough in my posts for you to reply (unless we're skipping, but that's a whole other scenario).
◇ I have only ever role-played male/female couples, but I am open to male/male as well. I love a bit of romance in my plots, but I rarely base the whole plot around it. IF romance is going to happen, I would rather it happen naturally between our characters. If you can come up with a really compelling romance plot, though, then I'm all for it.
◇ I'm open to all kinds of genres, so long as we can think up an interesting enough plot. My favourites are fantasy and paranormal, with a bit of adventure, romance, and/or mystery thrown in for good measure.
◇ I prefer to role-play male characters, but I don't mind being the girl if you're set on being the guy.
Okay, I THINK that's it for now. I'll add more if I think of anything. Here are some half-formed ideas floating around my head:
a new Shapeshifter character of mine
something to do with horses (horse and rider type thing, not wild horses)
the Spirit Animals series
and sled dogs (no idea why)
If any if these pique your interest — great. If not, that's fine too. I'm open and flexible. Show me what you got, and I'm sure we can come up with something worth investing in. ;D
And a couple old plots of mine I wouldn't mind revisiting:
Slice of Life, Romance: "On the Edge"
Character A is a regular girl; Character B is the lead singer in the band On the Edge. After a chance meeting and a whirlwind night together, Character B went on tour and never looked back — leaving Character A with a baby she wasn't ready for. Five years later, he's back in town, more famous than ever. She doesn't realize he's in town until they run into each other at the park. The same attraction they felt years ago is still present, and now that he's older, he has the mind and drive to chase it. Only this time, she doesn't want to be caught. Will she tell him about his child and risk letting him into their life?
Paranomal, Vampire, Chance for Romance: "Born to Night"
Character A is excited to be starting her senior year — until she learns her school has accepted its first vampire student (Character . Worse, she shares a class with him. Like most humans, Character A doesn't trust vampires, but her reasons run deeper than most: her mother was killed by one. And when Character A is forced to break curfew for a friend, she almost follows in her mother’s footsteps when she's attacked by a vampire — only unlike her mother, she's also saved by one. It's the guy from her class, Character B, and after that night she can't help but see him in a different light. But can she learn to trust a vampire, let alone love one?
World: Set in the future, when vampires are no longer forced to hide what they are from the humans. There are two different kinds of vampire: those that are born, and those that are made. Both are immortal, both have to drink blood to survive, and both are stronger, faster, and have better senses than humans. The differences are: born vampires can go into the sunlight, they often have better control of their bloodlust and can eat regular food while surviving on less blood, they can reproduce (obviously), and they are harder to kill (only a special type of wooden stake through the heart can get the job done). As for made vampires, they cannot go into sunlight, they're a little wild and unpredictable, with less control of their bloodlust, they can't eat regular food or reproduce, and any kind of wooden stake will kill them. The born vampires are rich aristocrats, living in luxury and often looking down their noses at humans and "lesser" vampires. Those "lesser" vampires were once human, but were turned by a bite (both vampire types can turn a human with a bite), and now they live in the shadows, shunned and feared by humans and born vampires alike.
Paranormal, Horse related, Chance for Romance (the hate-to-love type of romance): "Embers to Ashes"
Character A is an equestrian. She and her father run a trail riding business, and she dreams of one day being an eventer like her mother was. She has natural talent for all things horse, but she can't afford to hire a trainer. Character B hates horses. He grew up around them, and knows more about them then he cares to admit, but after a riding accident killed his mother, he stopped riding and turned his back on everything horse. One day, when Character A is leading a trail group, she finds a beautiful horse. He's clearly not wild, but he's miles from the nearest farm so she can't imagine how he travelled so far. She soon discovers he's no regular horse — he's much too intelligent, and he looks at her as if he understands her every word. She convinces him to come back to her ranch with her and she sets him up in the barn. That night she discovers what's so different about him: he's not a horse at all, but Character B, cursed to spend his days as the one animal he can't stand. To break the curse, he must "find within his heart what he lacks," and he'll need her help to do it. If they can learn to stand each other first.
