I think that would be good :3 Should they figure anything out? What do you have planned?)
"I have great confidence in our abilities. However, it would break my heart if any of you ran off, so please do consider coming back. We've already bonded! It would be a crime to see a frown on my perfect face." the was likely the reaction people were expecting from him. You could know Luca for all of an hour and already pick out the kind of person he was.
Once that had been said he waved to them before heading out towards the center of town where more people might be. It was an eerily silent town, but they must of have some sort of entertainment network, right?

Well they already pretty much figured out the dragon part of it, but maybe a generalized location or someone could point them in the direction of the town Luca mentioned visiting. I think they shouldn't figure out the other part quite yet, cause this village is super small and secluded so the residents probably wouldn't know anything, if that sounds good with you guys))

We've all been there😂))
Elyel was the first to arrive back. She propped her feet up on a table, leaning back on the chair making only two of the legs touch the ground. Her arms were crossed as she stared off in to the distance. Gears in her brain churned like the sea. Unfortunately, she didn't find much outside what they already knew about the dragon. Not one person she talked to knew anything of any use about any other town or city that would be of any use to them.
I'm starting to have the good old plot gears turn, I just gotta look at some maps stuff so locations are somewhat accurate lol))

Luciel found herself back at Nightstone, bearing somewhat less enthusiasm as she walked through the town the second time around. She had reached out to the other members of her faith, informing them of the conditions of her quest and imploring them for any knowledge or answers they may have. She had only received a couple of replies before heading to rejoin the others, and was informed that the others were still looking into it. She blew out a light sigh before stopping before the inn once more.

Garren was walking back up to the inn at the same time Luciel was stopped outside it. "Hail, cleric!" He called before clapping a hand over her shoulder. "Lucy, right? Did you find anything?" Although Garren kept up his upbeat and positive demeanor, a slight shadow over his face signaled he was unable to reach any sort of definitive answers or helpful clues

Luciel turned to look at the paladin. There was a bit of a twitch in her smile as she nodded in greeting to the man. "Please, call me Luciel," she said softly before anything else. Then in answer to Garren's question, she shook her head. "Unfortunately, nothing concrete," she replied. "Though many said they would continue to search. And you? Were you able to find any answers?"

(I wish i had a different job then the one i have now. >_<))
Sira walked back into the inn muttering under her breath, "Stupid montasary.... not wanting to help.... to busy with there own thing..." She got to the barkeep and asked for the strongest brew they had and downed half of it as soon as it placed in front of her.

Garren hung his head in slight defeat. "My dear lady Luciel, I fear not. Nothing outside what we had already surmised that is. I'm not incredibly surprised, however, due to the nature of a small village. I was hoping for more still...alas perhaps we should travel first to that one town which Luca mentioned." He lifted his head and glanced towards the sky, as if expecting an answer to appear in the clouds. No such answer came.
Elyel noticed Sira come back in and start drinking like there was no tomorrow. She raised her eyebrow and assumed her new companion had just as little luck as she did. Slipping over, she took a seat next to the other girl. "Well don't you just look like a little ray of sunshine?" He playfully elbowed Sira, hoping that wasn't crossing any lines but also not really caring a great deal if it did.
Rose I feel you girl. Hold strong!!))

Luca burst into the bar, obviously late when he saw that the rest of his companions had more or less returned. He'd tracked down a suspicious looking thief and after chatting him up had ended up with some info. Nothing great, but he had been told there were people in Bellmyre in the underground trading area that might know of a dragon. He waved to the group and sauntered over "I have some information that brighten up the mood." he said cheerily before relaying the information he'd been given.

Elyel immediately turned to Luca, her eyes bright with hope. "Well, don't keep us waiting! Please do tell!" She was looking forward to any type of lead at all, even if it was something as small as they needed to head northwest or go to a different town next. Anything was welcome.

"I was told there might be some traders in the underground sect in Bellmyre that know about a dragon." he explained. Luca took a seat at the table and continued "I hadn't considered looking into that, honestly. If you interact with the wrong people you'll end up with a knife in your back. But it makes sense that if anyone would know about it, it would be those with dark connections." Luca didn't have a name, but at least they had something of a starting point.

Elyel stroked her chin, nodding slowly. She had heard things about the underground sector of Bellmyre and needless to say things were...less than savory. But if that's all they had, then that was all they had. One lead from a thief would be better than no leads at all. After all, with everyone lurking about there, someone was sure to know the location of the lair, assuming they didn't know anyone already heading for there. "I just wish we knew what exactly we were looking for. Dragons collect all sorts of things, how are we supposed to know if it's one gold coin we need to pick up or some silver goblet?" She sighed. How far is Bellsmyre from Nightstone?)) I'm thinking about the dragon lair being in either the Star Mountains, which would have the party travel through the High Forest, or the northern part of the Sword Mountains, and they could make a pit stop in Waterdeep and maybe learn about the other clue too there? Idk, the gears have been turning greatly I might use this RP as a homebrew campaign honestly it's turning out so good))

Ooooo that sounds great! I love that you already have the general idea of where they need to go ^^ ) As for distance, we can have it be somewhat close, if you want? Just so they can get there and get the hint quicker. If you wanted we could make it farther and have them bond some more to?) Ngl I'm also considering making another character that's the AngeryTM type and refused to come even though the letter asked them to. Tho that's only if we don't get another joiner that would want that type of character :3)

I have a notepad opened so as ideas come I write it down and make it work lol)) Hmmm I like the bonding idea, also would give us the chance for some encounters too. Maybe like a 4-7 days travel? Somewhere around that time frame?)) Also live your character creation dreams!!! The more the merrier honestly, and if more people join I don't mind having a couple grumpy ones that don't want to be there ))

Ok! Sounds good! I imagine Luca is quick when travelling alone, but it'll take the group longer.) And alrightly! I'll look into making a good ol grumpy character. Prolly another dude or smthn to balance out numbers a bit haha)
Elyel made a good point, they didn't know exactly what they were going to need to get. Luca ran a hand through his hair and said "Well, worst comes to worse we can just deal with that problem when we arrive. Hopefully we can find someone with more information on the dragon and what it collected." Luca shrugged and didn't appear worried. He was something of a free spirit when it came to worries such as this. As one might expect, this mindset often got him into trouble.
Moving on he added "If we head out today, we should reach Bellmyre in six days, maybe fewer if we are quick and the weather is on our side." or more if they were slow and ended up running into a lot of problems. That was the issue that came with groups. Luca was quick enough on his own, but with a large group, things tended to get complicated.

Sorry for the poof! I went to the store and it took longer than expected))
Elyel nodded. "We should head there then, and make haste. I have about 7 days rations, and if any of you can hunt we will be more than fine. Alright, thoughts?" She turned towards the others, hoping they would agree despite the possible danger.
Garren nodded vigorously. "Yes! We should leave once you all are at the readiest!"

woops got to into playing Neverwinter haha.)
Sira nodded. "I would like to go get some potions and a couple other items that might be useful for our journey. And maybe one of the shop keepers might have something that could help us with the possiblity of running into the dragon." She told them finishing her 3rd cup of strong ale.
(If you guys have ever heard of critical role, they are amazing DND group and Sira is gonna be similar to one of there characters C: ))

I've heard of it, but what exactly is it?))
Elyel nodded. "Yes, yes, I do suppose potions and what not would be useful, seeing as we have no idea what's going quite yet or what we might run in to." She stared at the third empty mug on the counter. "Can you...can you walk?" She mused with a raised eyebrow

What neverwinter or critical role?))
Sora grinned and nodded. "Yeah I can. this is nothing to me." She shrugged as she stood up stumbling once before she shook her head and let out a deep breath. "Always that first step..." she mumbled before she looked at the group. "So do you want to split up again or go as a group to make a sure we get everything that we need?" She tilted her head as she crossed her arms. Slowly but surely getting use to the people.
((Neverwinter is a dnd style type game that you can play with a group of friends. It's slow in the beginning but it's actually pretty fun.))
((Critical role is a podcast that is really funny. They do dnd campaigns and other games. You can find them on youtube under critical role. Even though halfway through their first campaign they were with a group called geek and sundry so for the first 50 or so episodes I think that is what they were called. After that they were called critical role.))

Ooooh cool))
Elyel blinked a few times in surprise. "Okayyy then. We should probably stick together. After all, it shouldnt take too long to do a simple, quick shopping run." She didn't like the idea of splitting the group anymore, partially out of the fear someone would just leave and not come back

Sira nodded and thought a bit. "So.. More food, as i have none... i finished mine off this morning. We will need at least some potions, healing and others." She looked at the others, "anything else you guys can think of? Besides stocking up on arrows or spells?" ((My mind is going blank for items ))

Elyel shrugged slightly. "That sounds like that's all to me. If we see anything else while we are there, might as well pick it up. Seeing as I don't have too much money to my name, I'll just stick with my potion collection." She sighed, part of her hoping that this quest would bring about more change in her dust filled pockets.

"You guys seem to have our list down. Let us go buy these items and head out. I'd like to get started as soon as possible." he flourished with his hand "Once we get there I can show you the best of the best and get you wonderful items at a discount. I'm quite well known in Bellmyre." he smiled and winked at the small group in front of him. Luca had some money himself, considering the fact he had an actual job. But the dancer usually spent it all on drinks and food during gatherings and parties so it wasn't as if he was rich.

Elyel sighed. "I'm not sure how to feel about you being so well known there." She was partly serious, partly joking around. "But I gotta admit, I cannot turn down a good bargain. Let's be off at once so we can officially start our quest." And without further ado, Elyel waltzed out of the inn and across the street to the rather small, quaint store. There wasn't a great deal there, seeing as the only patrons were only ever really the people of the town, but there was definitely enough to make due with.

Ahhh multiple of us are on at once Love that)) Elyel clutched her coin purse with dark and solemn eyes as she stared at the prices on the potions, suddenly wishing she had gotten a few more jobs in before coming out here. Elyel didn't have any solid work, and tended to hop from town to town doing a variety of jobs. It could be anything from chasing off goblins, to making mail deliveries, or going to find some book at a next town's library. She wasn't picky. However, that kind of hopping didn't make for great profit. With a sigh, she collected a couple of healing potions. Should I include a section of spells the characters know in the joining form? And hold it somewhat true like poor warlocks are only good for their eldritch blast so people can't have like 20 spells and use them back to back, etc?)) follow-up question: should we try to do level up things or just let our characters learn more spells, get stronger, etc as time goes on and we have a few encounters??))

Sira followed Elyel out of the inn glancing around at the shadows as she walked out trying to see if she could find anything that doesn't belong before she sighed and walked into the shop. She looked around the store and asked the store keeper, "Do you have any rations, or healing potions?" She asked tilting her head, She wanted to ask about poisons as well but decided against it and see what sort of deal Luca could get them on other items.

There wasn't much here that Luca wanted, but he did end up buying a few healing potions and some food for the road. Once that was all decided he grabbed a light coat just in case it rained and waited by the door for the others to finish up. He could wait until they got back to Bellmyre. At least there he'd know his way around and had connections. Not to say that this wasn't fun. He was enjoying the company all things considered.
EDIT: As for the levels thing, I think it would be easier for us to just have them power up as we go. Like, obviously we can discuss when and where they'd learn things, but it feels a bit unnatural imo to do a level based system when we aren't really doing a legit DnD campaign.)

The store keeper said nothing in response to Sira, just used his thumb to point to the shelf behind him where the potions were. A few feet away were the rations. They were pretty limited: primarily dried fruits, some smoked meats, and random other small foods.
