Starchaser Ok, sorry this took so long! I wanted to get something up today so I made sure to get it done. It's short because I really want you to be able to have an active role in the hunting segment.
Yeah, let's have them bump into each other! That will work perfectly!
Also, yes! That could be an interesting side lore project. I mean the prey animals would defiantly have to live a different life style in order to avoid being seen as prey for the other shifters. Oh how morbid would that be if there was an incident of a predator killing a prey. DX What if there was another park designed just for prey shifters? )
Clarisse Alinsky “The sun watches what I do, but the moon knows all my secrets.” - J M Wonderland ✶ ⤐ ☾ ⬷ ✶
It was overkill for the reserve to have such strenuous roles and regulation. Bored out of her mind, Clari leaned up against the counter as she filled out a dozen wavers that made her promise to not take more than two kills each trip into the reserve. Her scrawling signature got sloppier and sloppier each time the cobra shifter showed her another line. Finally, when she had shown ID (she only had one of those because her father had shoved it at her before they left camp) and each of her companions were registered as well, she was allowed to the changing areas.
Honestly, it wasn't like they were going in to murder the whole reserve.
Both of the males were waiting for her when she padded out into the hallway that connected both areas. She shook out her coat, prancing over to them with excited energy pouring off her in waves. It had been only yesterday that she participated in an hunt with her pack mates, but somehow this was different.
"Come on! The prey isn't going to down itself!" A group of lion shifters growled as she barreled past, but ignored the novelty of such a thing to pick up speed for the hunt.
When they busted across the opening and their large paws fell on the grass of the forest floor, Clarisse took a right through the dense trees. If they were going to find a deer and fast enough that she could slip away unnoticed for a few minutes, they were going to need to look in the right places. She slowed up to a brisk walk, throwing her head to bump into Zane's side, "Take the right flank; Redis, the left. I'll go ahead and flush out any herds. Y'all know the drill. Find the weakest one and don't let up on it. Hope you're in running shape, Zane!"
The forest, though dense, was packed with little animals that scurried away when the three werewolves brushed past them. She was pleased to see the amount of prey or all kinds of different shifters, but the small fries wouldn't help seven hungry werewolves to fill their bellies. They needed one large deer, maybe their maximum of two to do any real impact of their monstrous appetite. The sun gleamed through the foliage, warming her creamy fur. She put her nose to the ground for a moment to pick up on a scent that they could follow. It took them almost fifteen minutes to pick up a scent, but when they did, they pursued it to the whole herd. Clarisse raised her tail and perked her ears as a single to stop.
Perfect. We can run one down and I can use the rest of my time to get the Arfen out of here. I impress myself sometimes. If a flick of her ear, she gave the signal to start the hunt. She lowered her head down, aware that her light coloring would be a hinderance in the spring time shrubs and trees. A doe, smaller than the rest of the others, grazed about 100 yards upwind and Clarisse started to pad closer to her. When she got within range, the doe lifted her head, no doubt spotting her because with a stomp and a snort, she was off and running.
Clarisse yipped with excitement and begun to pick up speed. As the flusher, she would go ahead of the other two and try to pick out the weakest link then direct it towards the other two wolves.

{ mossecho I've only been in one wedding before this when I was like four (I was the flower girl), but this time I had to help set everything up and... yeah, it was interesting. It all came together pretty nicely though, so that's cool.
Anyways, sorry I still haven't gotten anything up. I don't really have internet right now and I'm moving and trying to deal with school stuff, so my life is really hectic right now. I'm trying to finish up my post now though, so I think it will hopefully be done tonight.

{ mossecho Sorry once again for this being short and bleh, and for how long it took. I'm having the worst month, though that's not saying much this year. I'm not actually sure where I was going with this, but I mostly just ended up describing the district really poorly, but in an overly-detailed yet non-informative way. It was definitely based on Athens and Alexandria though, but feel free to add on. I'm really sorry about this, but I kinda just want to move on to another post and get myself back into an rp mindset. If that makes sense. }

[[ Starchaser : no hard feelings! I don't mind, really. July was a busy month anyways (:
Now let's see how well I can write for Alex...
wow that expert transition]]
Alexander Rojas Lopez
Alex wanted to keep pressing about the merchant. Clearly there had been a little bit more to that conversation. The vampire lowered his eyes slowly to the ground, expression otherwise blank and painfully neutral. She's lying. Heartbeat, eye movements, vocal patterns. Alex raised his eyes to her face, as if trying to more directly address the issue while simultaneously avoiding it.
Stop that! Alex pulled his shoulders down, trying to draw attention away from the visible conflict on his face. At least, Alex felt like it was obvious. Could Lilah tell? Alex was never a fantastic liar, but that was mainly down to small cues. Could a human pick up on them? The vampire hoped not.
As Lilah spoke, Alex examined the area. The point—Apex Square, according to a sign—was beautiful, unlike the marketplace. It residually reeked of the city, but at least the flowers and freshly-cut grass tried to hide it. Alex followed Lilah's gaze to various different spots (he assumed they were the places she was listing). Then she gestured towards a rising spire in the distant skyline and Alex froze.
To the architect's credit, it was a beautiful construction. The stone curved naturally, as if shaped by water over centuries and not by human hands. Even from the great distance, Alex could see shifting iridescence in the otherwise ordinary stone. It was, in no small terms, beautiful. And then there was the fire. It curled upwards, flames as smooth as the stone and also multicolored. There was typical oranges and reds, yes, but dashes of magical purples and greens. Beautiful, yet Alex was repulsed. This city... everything good was horrible. Alex longed for emptiness, but crowds occupied the city streets and fire crackled above the only safe haven Lilah had identified.
Vampires were not instantly destroyed by fire, but it did do considerable damage. It was the only thing that could not be healed. Iron-inflicted wounds hurt and took a while to repair, but they were alright. But fire... it was not immediate death, but it was permanent. Burn wounds were forever, and fire burned fast on a vampire's skin.
Still, the Torch's fire was contained behind glass. Whatever good that did, at least it would give Alex enough time to attempt an escape if anything went wrong. He could run back downstairs (or take the elevator, Alex had never seen one of those and would like to ride one someday). He could jump off the tower. The landing would break everything, but Alex could recover from that. There was no recovery from fire.
Shut up, shut up, shut up! You are taking far too long, you imbecile. Answer her. Just go. How are you this weak? Alex looked back at Lilah. His last thought was less of a question and more of an accusation. He had always been the softest one in his family. Caution was healthy, but anxiety was not. Yet Alex always subscribed to the latter.
"The Torch, then," he forced out. "It... seems intriguing. To be quite honest, I am surprised it still stands."
Of course, he was more surprised that no one had thought to replace the fire with something safer, but nevermind that.
"Would I be correct in assuming that you have been there before? I myself have not, of course, but we have stories about its construction. They say five hundred contributed to it. It took ten mages to control the fledgling fire, yes?"
Of course, the stories also mentioned how many died in its construction. How many humans fell, how many vampires burned. Sad, how something so beautiful could have such a rotten legacy. Yet that was the story of this city, now that Alex thought about it. The final battleground of the Cataclysm, the final resting place of so many of its victims. They were all walking on graves without remembering the dead.
[[ well at least that's a mess xD sorry 'bout that ]]

Starchaser Not a problem! I understand that we all get busy sometimes. Welcome back!
So I don’t know how well this will work, but I’m trying to get Clari and Avani to meet. XD That means that Clari is ditching the guys. Since Redis is still with Zane, we can keep going or we can leave them alone while Clari and Avani do their thing. If Amber is still wanting to do this. If not, I’ll just have her come back and maybe we can set something else up.
Personally, I would recommend just having Alex, Clari, and Lilah meet instead since we seem to be the only ones left. XD Maybe we can get something going.)
Clarisse Alinsky “The sun watches what I do, but the moon knows all my secrets.” - J M Wonderland ✶ ⤐ ☾ ⬷ ✶
Apparently, it wouldn’t matter if she stuck out like a sore thumb against the fresh underbrush. A yearling had already begun to stumble under the pace, grunting in panic. That was the moment that Clari had been waiting for and she pushed her legs faster, faster, faster. The doe ran frantically, but couldn’t stop Clari from gingerly worming her way between the doe and the rest of the herd.
That was all it took for her to officially begin the chase. She maintained a comfortable distance as they veered off towards the right, directly towards the new werewolf. Redis was suddenly on the left, growling and nipping at the doe’s feet and side. She let up slowly and started to fall behind the others. A kill was all but certain with him blocking the exit from the side and Zane going for the finish. So she slowed her pace to let Zane shine a little and also so she could begin to think about her escape plan.
She couldn’t waste much more time with her pack despite the want to keep hunting and exploring this beautiful sanctuary. A creamy ear flicked impatiently. If she left right now, if she simply vanished, would Redis and Zane look for her in the woods or would they immediately return to her parents? It was a gamble, one that she had not thought about. Yet, if she just disappeared into the brush, surely the two males would notice and search for her.
Maybe she could make them swear silence and hey could all sneak out together. Clari just didn’t know how keen she was then knowing her secrets. If her father found out... the werewolf shuddered as she ran. She didn’t think that they would ever kill her (not her parents at least), but she had seen the way they had sneered at the prophecy. There was so much violence in her life that she just didn’t know how something like this would truly go over. Besides, she was already treading on such thin ice with her mother that she knew she might never be welcomed back. Not that I would weep too much.
But she knew even that was a lie.
Nevertheless, Clarisse slowed to a crawl, watching them leave her behind. She was surprised that Redis had yet to notice her disappearance. Perhaps by the time that they took down the doe and they realized, she would be out of the Sanctuary and on her way to hunting down the others. Sorry, Zane. Have fun with Redis for the next hour, ok?
So with one look back, she bolted towards the entrance.
—-
It was easy to slip out unnoticed. There was so much traffic now through the lobby that she blended in with a school group that pushed through the last checkpoint and was in the streets without any trouble. Clari hung a right, nose tilted up. She didn’t know what or who she was looking for but she had to start somewhere.

{ @shootforthestars Thanks for understanding I think I'll be pretty active from here on out, not sure how my whole school situation is going to work out yet though.
That sounds good to me! I'm not sure if Amber is still interested, they might just be having a harder time coming up with something to post. I was going to have Luna indicate to Lilah they should go to the party, so we can have Clari and them meet on the way if you want. Since we might be waiting a bit for Clari to meet with someone else, we can rp Zane and Redis for a while if you want. Zane and the rest of the pack can be a sort of side plot we use whenever there's a lull, but we don't have to be super committed to it if it becomes too much.
Only thing is that the Heavenly stone was supposed to be the first found, but if Amber doesn't come back than I can switch it to be someone else. I was also planning to make the Elemental character if someone hasn't joined by the time we start the attack, which seemed kind of unlikely. Unless you or Moss wants to make another character instead, I'm fine either way. }

(Sorry for disappearing/ditching without a word. I had a post written up part way, but I honestly lost inspiration/faced writer's block and just kinda neglected it. Anyway, here it is now and I think this is the most I've written, so that's fun. Anyway, I'm fine with whatever. If you want Avani to stumble onto Clair or just come in later after the others have gathered, I'd be fine with either.)
Avani watched Lucrecia as she shifted in a simple, elegant motion. Skin became feathers, arms became wings, and her face was replcaed with small eyes and a beak. Where the shifter had been falling before, a little wren took her place. Of course it was still her, just in a different form. Lucrecia seemed to look down at her and Avani thought she saw her beak moving and heard a birdsong. The woman couldn't be sure as the shifter flew off. As she slowly became a speck above, the angel looked eastward. She could see Sanctum across the sparkling water, large buildings seeming to reach the clouds in the distance. Avani took a deep breath, slowly smiling. She had made it! Perhaps once she arrived she would find the others and everything would be revealed. Of course, there was only one way to find out.
Avani crouched down. With powerful beats of her wings, the angel began to rise and took to the sky. Greens, blues, and grays became blurs as she streaked through the sky. With a powerful burst, she was up in the clouds in mere seconds. The woman twisted around before diving down back down towards the water. Wind roared in her ears and her cloths rustled about as she got closer to the lake. At the last moment, Avani caught herself and managed to glide over the lake. Water parted a little as her massive form flew above. She looked down, eyes wide with amazement. With an excited smile, Avani gave a few mighty flaps of her wings and was pushed back into the air. A little water followed behind, briefly rising in the air as she began to rise into the sky. With a graceful twist, the woman settled into a leisurely flight.
There was no sign of Lucrecia as she glanced around. The wren shifter was probably further behind due to her small size. Avani tried not to worry too much. Lucrecia would know what to do. She'd be fine. For the next few minutes, the angel focused on the city ahead. The skyscrapers seemed even more impressive as she got closer. She could start making out the tiny shapes of people and noticed the smaller buildings as she got closer. Mouth agape, the angel could feel her excitement growing. It didn't take much longer for her to reach Sanctum.
Hovering over the city, Avani began to take in everything. She hadn't seen anything like it before. Well, not exactly at least. Throughout her short life, the angel had visited the capital of Cloudhelm only a few times. It was nothing compared to what she saw below. People from all families crowded the streets, going about about their daily business. From her view above, she could see street vendors selling various goods, a few prefomers at crowded corners doing a show, and a few people trying to catch the next bus. It was amazing. As she watched the city below, Avani didn't notice a ball barreling towards her.
"Look out!" Someone yelled.
Too late. The ball hit her square in the stomach and sent her spiraling down. The grand sights of the city blurred around her as she fell to the ground. Winded and dazed, Avani barely managed to help slow her descent. In mere seconds after, she crashed to the ground, a wood cart managing to help cushion her fall. The angel was barely aware of the crowd quickly forming around as she slowly came to her senses. As she began to get up from. the mess and recollect herself, an audible gasp came from nearby.
"My-My carrots! My peppers!" Avani's gaze shofted to a tan-skinned man wearing a green apron. He seemed to barely be holding back his anguish as he looked at the remains of his former vegetable stand. "My cabbages!"
As he began to frantically circle his former cart, Avani got to her feet. Guilt prickled at the angel's chest as she watched the distraught man. "I'm sorry, sir! I didn't mean to destroy your cart or your vegetables. Here, let me see if I can help clean up ze mess. Maybe-"
"No, no. Just...just go. Please," the man practically begged. Debris fell from Avani as she got up from the remains of the former cart. She hesitated, wanting to say something to the man, but couldn't find the word. "Sorry," she apologized again as she awkwardly walked away. The small crowd that had formed quickly began to dispurse once more. A few shot her a few looks she didn't quite know. She returned them with a friendly smile or wave only for them to advert their gaze. Zat's weird, she thought with a shrug. Staff on her shoulder, the woman looked for a place to wait for Lucrecia.

Redis O'Bri “The earth has music for those who listen.” - Shakespeare ♜ ⤐ ☾ ⬷ ♜
In the heat of the moment, Redis had lost track of his long time friend and given himself over to the thrill of the hunt. White jaws clamped down on the leg of the doe in an expert hold as the other male gripped her neck. It took little effort from them both to hold her down as her lifeblood drained onto the ground. One massive paw on the doe's side and ears on the rest of the herd, Redis loosed his grip. It was instinct to protect the one that had made the killing blow so he prevented her from struggling and kicking by pulling down on her leg.
When it was clear that the doe was dead and their job was done, Redis licked at his jaws in anticipation, "You too. You did really good." Not like he had expected any different from a loner that lived close to the mountains. One had to be good if he or she was to survive without a pack. The younger male couldn't even imagine the strain and the exhaustion of hunting by yourself. He had forever been apart of a team; honestly, he didn't know how he would fair without another to constantly rely on.
His good attitude was quickly dispelled at the question: where did Clarisse go? Heart now in his throat, the male turned quickly, half expecting the frisky female to pop out at them and laugh until her throat went hoarse. She was prone to pulling pranks on her hunting parties, but had never seriously disappeared. She would never abandon her trope like that especially not when they were in unfamiliar territory and dependent on her to return without error.
Redis swallowed his heart back down, "S-she's around somewhere. She likes to pull pranks. She's probably just going to scare us good in a few minutes."
After a few minutes had passed, he didn't bother to hid his concern or the way that his hackles had risen. He lifted his nose to the wind and when her scent came up stale though surely she had just been with them, Redis's ears went back and he shook his head with a whine, "I don't know. That doesn't seem like something she would do. She wouldn't just leave us." He whimpered and looked at the male with wide, half panicked eyes. "What is she got hurt somewhere? What is there is something in these woods that got her when we weren't paying attention?"
Redis knew that it wasn't rational, but Clarisse meant too much to him. He started to pace back and forth around the deer, nose down to the ground and tail erect. Her scent led away in the opposite direction as if she had never even come this far with them. His lips pulled back slightly and swallowed again. If she was hurt, then he would never forgive himself!
He jerked his head towards the deer and then mumbled some words of encouragement to himself before addressing the male again. He could see the concern on his face as well, but he wandered how much of that was purely from self preservation. If they returned with word that Clarisse had vanished, the Alpha's would likely kill Zane. They were not kind to those that hurt their kin.
"Ok, I'll head back to the entrance. Maybe she got lost and headed back there. It's unlikely, but that way I can drop off the deer and check the lobby. You hang around here and see if you can track her down. I'll be back to help you look if I don't find her. Rafe, she's going to give me a heart attack one of these days."

Amber MY cabbages!! XD yes, I love that reference so much. Poor guy can't get a break.)
Clarisse Alinsky “The sun watches what I do, but the moon knows all my secrets.” - J M Wonderland ✶ ⤐ ☾ ⬷ ✶
Clarisse Alinsky should have felt terrible for tricking her pack mates. She should have felt overwhelming guilt at just the thought of leaving them to search for her as she watched around sanctum. Undoubtably, Redis had begun to think the worst. How would he think that she died? Maybe trampled under the feet of the herd or perhaps she fell into a ravine and broke all her bones on the sharp stones at the bottom? Yes, she should have been plagued by his worry.
Was Zane worrying about her as well? Clarisse bit her lip at the thought. Oh how she was going to Arfen for the lack of guilt in her system.
The sun was biting down on her face and she smiled at the sense of freedom that over took her. Sanctum was busier then anything she had ever seen and she found that it was easy for a hooded werewolf to weave in and out of the crowds. For the first time in her life, no one cared who she was or where she was going. Hard determination set in the face of all those she passed, she discovered that even apologies were foregone when creatures bumped into each other.
Clarisse grinned. She was beginning to like Sanctum. It was open and brutal and wonderful.
"Look out!"
The cry made everyone turn their heads though few lingered on the scene that had started to unfold. Clari tucked her head a little and debated doing the same. After all, she only had so much time before she would have to return. But the flail of ashen wings rooted her to the spot. She froze from the inside out.
A hand reaching out and lips forming unknowable words. Gray wings broken beyond repair, a halo dimmed and discarded beside a bloodied body.
Clarisse was moving before the angel even hit the ground. She flinched violently as she shoved her way through the crowd that had formed. As the man screeched about his cabbages, she bit down on her lip and muscled the last bystander to the side. She didn't know what she had been expecting, but it was not the apparent bodybuilder of an angel. Sure enough the wings were spot on, but the visions and dreams had been so blurry that she had never seen a full face. Or body.
As the crowd thinned, Clari began to smile at the living juxtaposition. Her voice, soft and tender, didn't seem fit to come from her and her body language said that she didn't have a mean bone in her body. She tilted her head as if she was examining prey, eyes alight with curiosity.
Was her luck really that good to have another member of the prophecy literally fall from the sky?
Like the good hunter she was, Clarisse waited until the angel had begun to walk away before trailing her. Would the angel feel threatened if she approached her directly? She couldn't afford for her only link to the dreams to ran away, and it wasn't like she could follow to the skies if she spooked. What to do, what to do? The angel didn't even seem fazed by the fall, but a trained eye could see that she was still out of sorts. Certainly, even an angel would have to feel a fall from such a height?
When the Angel stilled and looked around as if looking for someone, Clarisse took her chance. She pulled down her hood so the angel could see her eyes. Is that only a werewolf thing? Do angels even need eye contact to feel safe? Oh whatever, stop over thinking this.
Clarisse approached from the side, just visible enough to not scare but not visible enough to reveal all of her presence. She gave a wide smile, "I didn't know that Angels literally fell from the heavens. You made a pretty good mess of that guy's cabbage cart. You ok?"

Also, that layout is so pretty!

Starchaser Yeah, I think it could be too! Besides, I’m already to attached to Zane to let him go for too long. XD I felt for him as he started to panic in that reply. That was so sad. T-T Clari is such a jerk, huh? And thank you!! I spent some time on it cause I wanted it to match how Redis feels in my head. I do want to say that I enjoy yours the most so far. I love the blues of Zane’s! It’s just so relaxing. XD)
Redis O'Bri “The earth has music for those who listen.” - Shakespeare ♜ ⤐ ☾ ⬷ ♜
The young male, surprisingly stronger than he appeared, began to drag the deer towards the entrance. It was harder when Zane’s words echoed through his head over and over again. She’s not a pup. No, Clarisse was a full grown werewolf and was completely capable of taking care of herself. That was exactly what worried Redis. He knew that she could make it out there on her own. What if she had finally left them for good? He whimpered at the thought of never seeing her again and thought back to all those years ago when she had reached a breaking point.
”Why am I even here?” Her tears had run hot down exposed skin. He had found her in a clearing, feet swollen and cut from hours of nonstop running. It wasn’t uncommon for Clari to go running when things got hard, be it in or out of Rafe’s embrace. “I hate her, Redis. Sometimes I wish that I was far away from this place. I shouldn’t want to go. A good werewolf stays, right? A good werewolf would settle down and have good little werewolf children. A good werewolf wouldn’t ever want to leave, but Rafe be ****** if I do!”
Her snarl had echoed through his chest and when the anger drifted back off into quiet sobs, she let him embrace her. She weeped for hours like that and a boyish Redis hadn’t known anything else expect to wrap his arms tighter.
“Don’t make me go back there. Please.” It was that moment he knew that he loved her. Even though she had rebuffed him at every advance for years, he understood the weight of that love. He would have taken her away if he had been just a little older and wiser. He wouldn’t have gently convinced her to return. At the time, he thought he was being selfless: he was putting her needs above his wants. Now, he realized that he had gotten it all wrong. It had been that want to keep her in his life that had blinded him to the desperation in her eyes. She was stronger than him.
She could have left that night and ruled the world by the next morning.
Redis trained his eyes on the spot that Zane pointed out, mildly relieved that there was no blood to be seen or scented. So she hadn’t been hurt. That didn’t eliminate running away. He shifted his eyes away to hid the knowledge that shimmered in them and said around the kill, ”Good. That’s a good sign.”
By the time they arrived at the lobby, Redis was fatigued both mentally and physically. He didn’t bother doing anything with the kill yet as they searched the entry way. All of his hairs stood on end as they traced her scent back to the doors that led to the street. Shifters eyed them, some awed by their massive forms and others annoyed that they blocked the door. They returned to their kill in the corner and he joined the pacing.
”Oh this is bad. This is really bad, Zane. I can’t believe that we lost the heir to the Alinsky pack. I can’t believe she would just leave like this. What is she thinking? What are we going to tell the Alpha’s? Rafe help us...” Redis let out another high pitched whine through his nose, pained and terrified. “We have to keep looking. They will skin us alive if she’s not with us. Not to mention she would be in extreme danger! I overheard Emmett taking about a string of murders in Sanctum.”
He looked down at the kill and finally, grabbing the doe by her neck, hauled it over to the kill desk. The shifter working it barely looked up from her magazine as she stamped the doe’s back leg with a number and then handed a stamped paper to the wolves, “Take this to the front desk. We’ll have your kill processed and waiting for you in a few minutes. The Sanctuary thanks you for partaking in its wildlife conservation effort.”
Redis hurried away with the piece of paper in his mouth, “Go change! I’ll meet you in there! We only have little under an hour to scour the streets for her!”

{ @shootforthestars Aw, well I'm glad you like him, I enjoy rping him a lot. Eh, she has her reasons, even if she didn't think things through very well lol. Zane tries to act stoic, but really he's a worrier and softie.
Ooo, I am here for more Redis backstory, and nice insight in Clarisse too.
Thanks! Zane felt very blue and gray to me. I tend to lean towards cooler colors in general, blue being one of my favorites. }

As Avani walked away from the scene, she kept an eye out for Lucrecia. She felt bad about being seprated from the shofter, but knew she wouldn't be too far behind. Besides, she would certinaly be able to find the tea shop on her own if it came to it. Surely Lucrecia wouls know to meet there. As she searched for somewhere to start her search, she noticed a small figure coming up beside her. Well, the newcomer was small to her, at least. Most people outside her family were. Easily standing at least five or six inches shorter than her, she had blonde hair and brown eyes. Avani offered a smile, just as she began to speak. The angel let out a hearty laugh, then shrugged.
"Ve usually don't fall out of ze sky like zat, or really at all. Unfortunately, accidents happen from time to time. I just hope I didn't ruin zings for zat man too much," she added with a sigh. "Anyvay, I'm fine despite ze crash. Zanks for asking!" There was, as usual, a cheeriness to her voice mixed in with a twinge of surprise. Avani hadn't expected anyone to ask if she was okay. She also didn't expect strangers to come in and talk to her. From what she heard, most people were supposedly unfriendly and avoided talking to strangers. That line if thinking appeared to be wrong judging by Lucrecia and new woman. The angle studied the stranger for a moment, something bothering her about the woman. Avani narrowed her eyes in a friendly way, still smiling. For the first time, she realized the stranger looked vaguely familiar.
"Do I know you from somevhere?" She narrowed her eyes further, then let out a laugh and shook her head. "No, zat vould be impossible. I haven't lefd heavenly territory before." And yet, there was still something that tugged at her. Something that seemed to tell her she knew the other woman. Avani stepped away and tried to get a better look at the stranger, hoping a different view would help her figure it out. The woman was clearly no heavenly or infernal. That meant she was either a mage, shifter, or elemental. Avani contiuned to watch her, though after a minute, she couldn't come up with any explanation as to why she recognized her. Unless... Voices echoed in her head. Visions of distant figures calling for help clouded her mind. There was only one explanation as to why she recognized the woman.
"I'm Avani, Avani Roshan," she greeted. She held out her hand, then leaned in towards the shorter woman. "Have you, by chance, been expierencing anyzing veird lately? Like odd dreams or perhaps visions zat almost seem real?"
(No he can't, unfortunately for him.)

Starchaser Like a big old onion huh? XD Peel back the layers. I love it! <3 Yeah, she does have her reasons, but she (more like me) could have handled it better so the baby boys don't fear for their actual lives. XD)
Redis O'Bri “The earth has music for those who listen.” - Shakespeare ♜ ⤐ ☾ ⬷ ♜
In the minutes that the staff took to package the kill, Redis has slipped behind Zane to shift and change back into his clothes. Let's just focus on trying figure out where she went. The male was right. Of course, he was right. There was no need to panic until there was a solid reason to panic. And right now, there was no evidence that Clarisse had been spirited away or murdered. He pulled his shirt over his head with shaking fingers.
He was taking the large box from a cheery worker when his ears perked to the growls and sneers of other werewolves. Mutt... Traitor... Redis turned around with furrowed brows. Are they talking to me? He thought with surprise. He had never been outside of Sanctum before so surely not. Then, Zane was walking over, eyes shifted away from the werewolves with his metaphorical tail tucked between his legs. The red haired male didn't have time to dwell on it though as he asked if they were ready.
"Yes, I'm ready. If we put our noses together, we might find her easier." Redis grunted at the weight of the doe. Now in his human form, the does was even heavier than before. Belua coursed down to his biceps with half a thought and the weight became a lesser burden. Once they were out on the street, Redis tipped his head to the air and took a large whiff of air. Her scent was there and leading away towards the right. Redis let out a shuddering sigh. There wasn't any fear associated with it. "She went down the street to our right. Let's start there."
It was hard to see around the large box, but he kept an eye out as they slowly made their way down the street. Zane's nervous energy was not lost on him and for a moment, he thought back to the words of the other werewolves in the lobby. He looked to the side and tried to study him without running into the other creatures that wondered the streets.
He didn't look like a traitor, but his circumstances were not favorable for him. Zane had come into contact with the most powerful pack in the kingdom with a sappy story. Clarisse had obviously seen something in him if she had stayed his funeral, but the rest of the pack wouldn't care if he was Rafe himself if he somehow hurt Clari.
But he would honor Clarisse's wishes. Those werewolves had probably mistaken him for someone else.
"I would stick up for you." The male swallowed and shuddered at the thought of having to do so in less than thirty minutes. "I just want you to know that. I know you didn't do anything to her because we were with each other the whole time. But I can't keep us both from getting outcasted. Rafe, I'm going to kill her when I find her."
The threat had no bite. It was more concerned and fearful for them both. Redis looked around again and tried not to let the fear leak from his pores.

{ @shootforthestars Yeah, Zane is very much a closed and locked book.
xD I don't know if you're familiar with it, but their situation kind of reminds me of that meme/trend on tiktok (i don't have tiktok, but i still see the videos other places) where there's a really fast part at the beginning and then it switches to the ratatouille song: Zane and Redis: *desperately trying to find Clarisse, fully aware that their very lives are at stake if they don't return with her* Clarisse: *wandering around Sanctum and having a nice interaction with Avani, blissfully unaware how worried they are*
Also, wasn't sure how you wanted to end up resolving this (either with the pack finding them or the boys running into Clarisse before), so I left it open-ended, sorry I'm not furthering things very well.}

Amber Cabbage guys literally moves dimensions only to have his cabbages crushed over and over again. XD I think we will need to keep this brief, but maybe we can set up for the party and have everyone move there next?)
Clarisse Alinsky “The sun watches what I do, but the moon knows all my secrets.” - J M Wonderland ✶ ⤐ ☾ ⬷ ✶
Clarisse wasn't used to being the small one, but she felt dwarfed by the hulky size of the angel. Were all angels this big or had see just gotten smaller? Well, considering that she was in her human form, she had indeed shrunk quite a bit. She imagined that if she had met the angel while in Rafe's embrace, then she wouldn't feel as tiny compared to her. But, not one to be intimidated, especially not by someone as docile as the angel, Clari returned the grin with one of her own.
Her accent was intriguing, but then again, she supposed her own was harsh on the angel's ears if she had never met a werewolf before, "I'm sure the little guy is perfectly fine. It's just a cabbage cart after all. He can grow more." Honey speckled eyes narrowed in on her, checking for weak points. It wasn't that she was expecting a fight, but it was instinct to size up any creature she came across. Werewolf life was harsh; even pups knew to be constantly alert.
So maybe that was why her shoulder's tensed as the girl did the same. Though nothing told her that the attention was aggressive, Clarisse suddenly understood that she was in a very unfamiliar place in front of a very unfamiliar angel. She had only seen three in her lifetime and they had been dead at the border, wasting away as the lesser animals picked at them. That had been twelve years ago, but she had never forgotten the way their wings still glimmered with Lux.
She smiled slyly at the question and shook her hand firmly, "Nope. I've never seen you before. A bit sheltered myself, you see. First time seeing a live Angel. Nice to meet you, Avani. Name's Clarisse."
Her careful facade of indifference broke at the next inquiry and it took everything she had to not audibly gasp at her candidness. Well that was easy. So her luck had been good enough for the angel in her dreams to literally fall out of the sky and into her lap. At this rate, she would be back in the Sanctuary before the others noticed she was gone. She truly did impress herself sometimes.
But Clari bit her lip around the smirk that was forming and gently, threw her head in one direction, "Come on. I'll answer your questions somewhere a little quieter." Her instincts said that people were watching and listening and she just simply wasn't comfortable with that. When they had reached a side alley, Clarisse blinked to draw Belua to her eyes. The half darkness immediately lightened and, seeing that no one was there, she stopped. Satisfied, she leaned up against the wall and looked back at the Angel with a soft, reassuring grin.
"I can't stay long to discuss, but yes. I was actually looking for the others. You're the first I've found."

(Okay, so I'll get a reply up soon, but I was wondering what we'll do next. So, Clarisse and Avani will finish talking or be stumbled upon by Zane and Redis or the pack, right? From there the two go their seprate ways while Alex and Luna arrive. What would lead them all to the party? Would it be some pull to meet each other? And how do you all think they figure out Avani's crystal's there? Sorry for all the questions, I'm curious how we'll continue.)

{ Amber I'm not certain how Shoot wants to finish Clari's interaction with Avani, so I can't really say anything about it. I'm guessing though, that Avani could maybe explain the dreams she's been having and they both try to figure out where she's supposed to go. Maybe they come up with another meeting place and Avani leads them both there.
For Alex and Lilah I was just gonna have Luna show up in the real world and be like "hippity hoppity you have to go to this one place," but probably more vague than that. Maybe it would be interesting to have the prophecy members become more aware of the others' presences when they are closer together, or maybe just as time goes on. So the group would then all be united at the party.
As for the crystal, I think we talked about them having energy signatures? Like, Avani can track the stone, so she knows where to go and shares that with the others once they all meet up. We can always use the dreams/hallucinations to explain things when we need to. }

Here’s what I was thinking: Clari’s parents are going to be there since they are leaders. I thought maybe this would mean that she would know about the party and invite Avani at least. Lilah and Alex... maybe they overhear someone talking about it while they are walking around Sanctum. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Or they just go because they want to and the pull is too strong. XD)

(Crud I meant Lilah not Luna. Anyway, I like the idea of the group maybe feeling some draw to meet each other. Perhaps as more people meet up, the draw of energy becomes more powerful as well because of connections or something? That's what could draw Lilah and Alex to the party as well as our elemental.
Also I think I do remember something about energy signatures being a thing for the crystals. So yay for that and handwriting if we need to.
I like the idea of Avani being invited to the party. Would be very fun playing it out, especially since she's only been to angel parties.)
