( Starchaser I edited him!) (Tell me if anything else needs to be changed) (For extra clarification, just in case, the fae half can't use magic, but the Wraith one can easily) Wendell Benjamin White • Male • 21 • Family: Half-wraith (Semi-made up) Wendell is a rather small person, about 5 foot 5. Right (Human fae) side: He has very curly dirty blond hair that he likes to grow out a bit, but not very long. He is skinny and has very dexterous fingers. His eyes are hazel. He isn't strong or fast, but prefers to pursue intellect, specifically about magic. He has a long nose that is almost always buried in a book. He is constantly reading, and brings books everywhere, no matter what it is. His feet are rather large, which helps him to sneak around, which he likes to do to get to a quiet place to read. He is very pale. Because he is a half-wraith, this side is also very light, lighter than most think it should be. This half takes up about half of the body, except most of the face. Left (Wraith) side: This side is a mere bony shadow of a human. It is a dark coal gray form that seems to be made out of bones. This half has speed and is able to easily harness magic, but very, very limited interaction with the physical world. The eye is basically a yellow dot in the eye cavity. The body is glowing yellow around the chest, and this side seems to create a thick, unearthly fog that only surrounds part of the wraith part, mostly the leg. It also seems to be wearing a tattered cloak, but that is actually part of it's body. Both sides have the same personality, if different physical traits. Being a half-wraith makes him estranged by the outside world, who largely don't like half-wraiths because of their semi-skeletal appearance. Like all wraiths, this side is weak in sunlight. He doesn't care about his wardrobe, which is just whatever he has. He would rather just read instead. His hair is almost never combed. He doesn't wear anything too long, though, in case it drags on the ground and makes noise when he's trying to sneak away. This all gives him a slightly shoddy appearance, though his face and hands never seem to get dirty, no matter what he does. This is just luck and skill, not magic. When reading, he ignores everything else. If you try to talk to him, he will barely acknowledge you on a very good day. Many find this to be rude, but he doesn't care at all. He would rather read a book than spare someone's feelings, and because of this lack of care to the outside world, he doesn't quite care about the Family Boundaries, hence why he'd be willing to gather with 4 other people, each from a different house. He is pretty in-tune with his magic, and knows a lot about all magics. He often is very disapproving and disappointed in not being allowed to use it too much or else he gets corrupted, and uses his magic a lot more than most would, though not quite enough to corrupt him. If you manage to get his attention and ask him about magic, he will happily go on a long lecture about whatever you asked about. Of course, his knowledge is limited to what he can read about.

(Perhaps because it allows us to explore things without spending the money ourselves. But who knows, it doesn't matter because it's fun. Anyway, I really like these ideas for the governments they make sense and fit with the world/families. Maybe for the Elementals, each subfamily is in charge of a certain part of society as a way to make sure no one has more power than another? Like one mostly deals with the military, another with the law, one with natural resources, another with relations with other nations, etc.? As for the Heavenlys, I didn't consider a theocracy, but I could see that working. I'll probably think it out more and then make a masterpost about it later.
Yay for jumping into things. Also, arrogant jerk? It'll be interesting to see how they'll all interact with Magnus/Caspian once they join up. Also I like both name options. Anyway, that'll work and we can play it by ear as we go on. Having the original Elemental coming back as an antagonist, again, would be very interesting. Also fun to play out. Also, also sounds good for getting that new page up soon.)

OH HI Shadow!! Yes, you caught us as we were discussing what to do with the elemental spot, as you can see by the previous posts! No, we are more than open to a new friend coming to join. Wendell looks so cute! So what to do with this arrogant jerk character then? XD )

(Hello Brokenstar, it's cool to see someone express interest in this rp. With that said, there is something I would like to note. I don't mean to be rude or come across as gatekeepy(? Not sure what word to use), but do you think you can match or come close to matching the posts the rest of us have? I haven't seen a response by you before and don't want to discourage you from joining, but we have longer responses and I think it's important to keep that in mind. You don't need a thousand-word replies with ten, large paragraphs every time. Sometimes a smaller thing with three to five paragraphs works. But it's important to keep the story flowing, writing enough for others to play off of, and making sure we're all comfortable with the responses. Again, I'm not trying to be rude or deterr you from joining(I'm just really bad at explaining things sometimes), but I do think that's important to consider so everyone had a good expierence. Also it's important to know that the previous Elemental rper may come back and we talked about them getting their position back if/when they're able to join up again. We can explain this more in detail later too. I apologize if this seems pushy or anything, I want this to be as transparent as possible to avoid confusion in the future.)

Brokenstar Hey, Shadow! I'm glad you're interested in the roleplay! Like Amber said, our Elemental situation is a little complicated, however. We previously had another member that had to go on hiatus, and were trying to figure out a way to incorporate again if they return before the roleplay is finished.
That's my bad for not being clear about things upfront though. With that in mind, I was curious to see if the Elemental would have been your first choice. Because of the situation with the Elemental, I was going to see if you would be willing to change your character into another Family's species? Infernals are the most diverse of all the Families though, so even if you didn't want, say, a demon or fae, you could look into choosing a different species we haven't brought up yet. That said, I understand if you'd rather not, as I didn't explain things from the start. I can probably work out something.
Also, just wanted to reiterate what Amber said, we are a more advanced roleplay. I don't want to scare you off from joining or anything, but I did want to make sure you know we will all be making longer posts, and generally expect a few paragraphs in each response. Just wanted to make sure you're comfortable with that }

{ Brokenstar Sounds good, thanks for being so understanding! We had talked previously about having multiple spots open in certain Families that had species with different powers in case several people were interested in joining, as we weren't certain how popular this might be. I went with Infernals because they have the most diversity so we wouldn't have characters with very similar powers trying to compete with each other.
I believe Shoot was already working on a summary of what has happened so far, so you'll have something to go on, but I'll also be adding it to the discussion page soon. Look forward to roleplaying with you!

{ Brokenstar Oh, I am sorry to keep making you change things! We already have a vampire though. Since vampires originally came from the Shifter family, we were going for another type of Infernal chosen one so we can balance out the powers better. If you don't want any of the other sub-families though, you can use another common mythical creature you think would fit in the category (i.e. reaper, goblin, cyclops). Honestly, this is the Family with the most freedom, so feel free to be creative as you like! If you want, you can even make something up, as long as the power and traits of the species make sense with Stgian magic. }

(All the characters (prophecy members are bolded) are currently in Sanctum:
Lilah and Alex
Lilah (Mage) met with Alex (Infernal/Vampire) in Infernal territory after both were experiencing odd dreams. In Lilah's dreams, her ancestor, Luna, visited her and told her very cryptically about the prophecy before vanishing. So Lilah started to research the prophecy through books and came to realize that she needed to head to Sanctum. This happened before I created the map so she traveled into Infernal territory to get to Sanctum where she encountered a wendigo. Alex, having left his coven because of his dreams, stumbled upon Lilah and helped her kill the wendigo. Together they started traveling to Sanctum.
There may or may not have been a run-in with yee-haw vampires at some point. I may or may not have smiled like an idiot as I was reading those posts.
Anyways, once they came to the ferry, it dropped them off in the market/bazaar in which they looked around for treats and souvenirs. Once they left the bazaar, they explored Sanctum for a hot second (hitting the Historical District) before eventually coming to the Torch. it's what it sounds like: a gigantic, enchanted Torch that acts as a museum as well. Once on the roof, a young socialite was discussing a party that a prominent Infernal family, the Rathoruls, was holding for the Summit. You see, the world has been falling apart at the seams and the leaders of Veuxdelys called all the prominent Family members to a meeting.
Lilah and Alex decide to go to the party, get dressed, and sneak in. Alex chooses the 'DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM' approach while Lilah teleports in. From there, they meet up and are looking for other prophecy members.
Clarisse and Zane
Rewind a week and Clari (Shifter, Werewolf) has started to have violent visions and dreams like the other two. Her case seemed more severe than the others; it took five equally violent dreams to make her understand something was amiss. Evaric, her ancestor, basically told her that she was in the prophecy and to go to Sanctum with her parents. Clarisse is the daughter of the First Pack Alpha's so they were called to participate in the Summit like Lilah and Alex's families.
On the way there, the pack runs into Zane. Coming from a border pack, he was tasked by his father to infiltrate and spy on the Alinsky's in exchange for acceptance into the pack that had banished him. So they meet, Clari saves his butt from certain death and they make it to Sanctum. Once in Sanctum, Clarisse convinces her father to let her, Zane, and Redis (another Alinsky pack member that is hopelessly in love with Clari) to go hunting before the party starts. They head to the Sanctuary to hunt and Clari ditches them to go searching for the other prophecy members.
Being the Alinsky heir, she is watched like a hawk all the time so it was the only opportunity to make a getaway. As Zane and Redis search for her and come to the morbid realization that they will be killed if they can't find her, Clari finds Avani (Heavenly) and tells her about the dreams and the party. She gives her the address and tells Avani to meet her there after Zane and Redis find her.
Clari tells the two males about her plan to run away during the party so she can find the others. Everyone is sad. They get to the party and now, Clari is dancing with the Azar Rathorul and discussing his necklace.
IMPORTANT NOTE: When the major five (now six I suppose) first tried to save the world, there was an object that broke into six pieces. To restore peace to the world, the prophecy members must gather those pieces and unite them again. This will involve everyone sacrificing their lives. The necklace around Azar's neck was crafted from one of those pieces, more specifically Avani's piece. Each character will have an obstacle in which they must overcome to obtain their piece. Avani's is stealing the necklace straight from a rich dude's neck. Some of the other scenarios involved raiding a dragon's lair, one will be underwater guarded by sirens, etc.
Avani and Lucrecia
Rewind once more and it is Avani's turn for the dreams to start. Her's spanned a month and were very vivid though they seemed to be less violent. She left shorter after the dreams became too much for her and headed pretty much straight to Sanctum territory. On the way, she met another shifter by the name of Lucrecia (Shifter, Wren) who was also on her way to Sanctum to visit some relatives that own a tea shop. They make fast friends because they are both cinnamon roles though Avani looks super intimidating. They also share stories and are all-around cute and wholesome on their way to Sanctum.
They fall asleep and Avani has another dream. Her ancestor, Ziv, tells her that she is a Caelum which explains her place in the prophecy. The Caelum's were a legendary family of Heavenly's that contributed to the creation of the prophecy. She also has a distant vision of Azar's necklace which allows her to recognize it in the future. When she wakes up, she is more determined than ever to make it to Sanctum and fulfill her role.
They fly across to Sanctum but get separated when Avani gets hit by a ball and falls from the sky. She lands on a cabbage chart which makes a huge scene and as she is walking away, Clarisse asks her if she is ok. Avani, being the ray of sunshine she is, jumps right into questioning Clarisse if she has had some weird dreams and Clari pulls her away to talk in private. The rest has already been explained above.
Avani then sneaks away and heads to the party at sundown. The bouncers don't let her in, but fate would have it that some of the performers didn't show so a man recruits Avani to be an entertainer for the evening. Once inside, Lucrecia (who made it to her family's tea shop and is serving for the party) finds her. However, Clarisse also sees Avani as she performs her tricks, but is occupied. In the moments that Azar is showing Clari and Zane the ballroom, Avani spots his necklace and asks Lucrecia if she can talk to Clari because she recognizes the necklace from her dream.
OK....... If I have missed anything important, please tell me. I'm going to take a break now. XD)

(Well dang, that was great. It also perfectly explains everything that's happened thus far. The only other important thing I can think of is our discussion page on the subpage board, which we can link if necessary.
As a side note, the character ideas I mentioned in my previous reply were a pair of thieves/general delinquents who snuck into the party. One is a void Elemental lady and her partner in crime is a half-fae/half-mage dude who's not very good at magic. Firstly, I just wanted to see if everyone was okay with the ideas and secondly, I would be more than happy to help involve them in Wendell's story if Shadow's alright with that or wanted somewhere to begin. I'm fine with anything.)

{ Brokenstar He sounds really cool and creative! Just one more little thing: humans don't exist in this rp. If you'd like to retain a more "human" appearance for his other half, you could do half-fae and half-wraith, perhaps? You wouldn't need to change anything beyond saying he was half-fae, unless you'd like to add more of those traits in.
EDIT: Actually, now that I think about it, we have a human equivalent. In this world though, a "human" is simply a sentient creature without magic, basically what all the Families were before they learned how to control magic. Humans are thought to be extinct in this world, but there is actually a society of them that lives on other continent beyond the kingdom's border. That said, they are highly prejudiced against those with magic, as they believe magic is at fault for bringing about the Cataclysm. However, if you would like, you could say that one of Wendell's parents was a another type of Infernal that happened to be born without magic, making them a "human." Being born without magic can happen in any Family, but is very rare. If you would like to go that route though, I am completely fine with it. }

{ Brokenstar They kind of do, but not in the Kingdom of Veuxdelys. Like I said though, you can say one of his parents was another type of Infernal that was born without magic, or you can pick a different one for him to be half of. Up to you, whatever you'd prefer
EDIT: Oh, just say you edited the form again. I'll add Wendell and you can start rping! }

{ No worries, you're fine! Anyways, feel free to start writing up a starter post for Wendell. Shoot summarized what's happened so far really well, but if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. All of our characters are currently in Sanctum at the fancy party. Depending on Wendell's family background, he could have been invited to the party, or you could have him get in some other way. I believe Amber mentioned having some side characters that could be involved with him/help him get in, but you're also welcome to come up with something on your own.
Or you can also do a starter about Wendell going from Infernal territory to Sanctum, just to introduce him. }

(So, how do you want to do this? Did Wendell approch my characters and ask for direcrtions? Did they meet up on the trip to Sanctum and help him get into the party? Did they all go together? You mentioned how Wendell helps them, so perhaps he sees them trying to sneak in and just lets them in, assuming he had an invitation. I'm fine with pretty much anything.)
