Owl and I were going over the Joining rules and she brought up the prefix rule. Realizing that this is going to be a large, forum wide rp-- limiting to 1 use per a clan is probably unrealistic and unfair especially to members. I'm thinking to change it to two prefix uses per clan.
Is this okay with everyone?

For those of you that know where your characters are going please tell me their clan + the prefix. I wanna get a list together because I was going through the thread here and some have a set clan and some don't.

Alright, I’m still figuring out characters because I was waiting to see the names everyone used, but I know for sure I’m probably gonna use Bat as a prefix for Shadow, also probably Crow, Drift, and Raven, all for Shadow
They don’t have suffixes yet because I haven’t figured them out all the way
Then??? I’m not sure about other clans yet
I’ll probably use Arch and Copper for Wind
Maybe Misty and Goose for River?
Ebony, Apple, Cherry, and Storm are options too, but I don’t know which clan yet (Ebony and Storm will probably be Thunder? And Apple and Cherry probably Sky?
And those are? Pretty much all the cats I’ve thought about so far

With prefixes, maybe we can determine how big we will be and then allow more than one if we get bigger? Then perhaps tell them that the names cannot be similar. So we wouldn't have a Briarfall and a Briarcall, as that could make some members confused. Below are my characters with their respective Clan colors, yellow indicates a future or reserve character. I'm okay with being told no on all but Splashberry, as I was really really unable to decide between Brindleleaf and her.

i am like 93% sure for most of them c;
river: reed, storm
sky: ragged, serin, sun
wind: shyrabbit, either furze or gorse (literally cannot decide) xD
shadow: mossy, finch
thunder: blaze, panther
i have character mudpaw/lark and sweetpaw; but i don't know what to do with them.

So, question. Are we adding StarClan cats? My personal feelings on the matter would be that while it's nice to keep track of the deceased and former characters, it can get super crowding. I think if we were to keep them, we should make a save on one of the pages for them if they pass a certain point. StarClan cats are ideal plot characters and someone can feel great by using an old cat that they once had and having that cat play a role in delivering a prophecy. Of course, I think StarClan should only be used when we need them, not when a person thinks that someone's deceased mom should come say hi and catch up for a morning mouse at nearest Sunningrocks, you know?
That also brings the topic of the Place of No Stars and no I've opened a can of spam I didn't want in the first place but my mom says it's the only thing in the house to eat without full-on cooking. |
