Oops, sorry ^.^’) Echo gave Mathias a small smile, “Well, I’m glad you’re not going to hold it against me then.” She said, her hands fiddling with her bracelet. She stayed quiet for a bit, not exactly sure how to continue on with the conversation now. There was something she wanted to know, but she wasn’t sure how to ask him about it. She took a breath before continuing, figuring it was now or never, “Mind if I ask you something?” “Don’t mind at all. Go for it.” Mathias floated languidly in the water now, enjoying the evening chill against his wet skin. It was nice, just the two of them out here. |

I’m sorry, work got really busy x.x I just got home.) Horus muttered to himself as he crossed out some words in his notebook. He was working out a new battle strategy for the upcoming game of Capture the Flag, and he definitely wanted to use something that would catch the Aphrodite cabin off guard. “At least this will be an interesting game with them leading the team.” He said to himself, tapping his pencil on the paper as he thought of different strategies. It was hard to predict what Echo would come up with for her team, so he wanted to be ready for anything she would throw at them. Horus gave a sigh and leaned back in his seat in the training arena, watching some campers practice their sword fighting, he already figured out some of the alliances for his team, he just needed to figure out the strengths and weaknesses, then where to place them for the game. Her eyes scanned the camp, attempting to find the correct destination. Of course, people thought just because her mother was also the goddess of crossroads, Kassie was great with directions. She didn't like that joke very much as she almost was one of the worst at a sense of direction. "Maybe I can freeze a few spare dummies" she muttered to herself. A slight pip to her step, she crossed into the training arena and glanced around at the supplies around the perimeter. Dangling along her hips was her dual cutlasses, not exactly Greek style weapons, but she preferred them more than any other celestial bronze weapon. A few other campers were up in the stands, but she only give them a quick glance before turning her focus to a training dummy in front of her. Kassie rolled her head in a low circle before feeling the sudden drop in temperature around the arena. She smirked as her hands, glimmering shiny light blue color. Quickly, she drew her hands up in aim of the training dummy, just as fast an ice shard flew through the air and lodged itself in its stomach. |

(sounds good! 👍 i’m currently in the middle of a show weekend, we just opened tonight so i’ll be a bit busy this and next weekend Flamestar96 im pretty sure i was just rping with your characters, i’d be down to continue those scenes or maybe move on to new ones if there was a mini timeskip at some point) Oh hopefully everything goes well! What type of show? Theatre? Either or is fine by me! I think if I remember Blaze and Josie were just in her cabin. Shadow and Frans was talking, so I don't mind if we just time skip both) |

Sorry, I fell asleep last and I was gonna reply lol)
"Oops..." Blaze's inner thoughts resonated as he realized the rule he had broken, very little actual guilt. His arms were wrapped around Josie's lower body while they laid together in her bunk inside Cabin One. Although, it probably wasn't the smartest decision to sleep with his girlfriend in her cabin, yet he would do it all over again if it meant spending valuable time together. He lifted one of his arms and brought it down, brushing her hair with his hand. He leaned over slightly and pressed his lips to the side of her head. A soft smile present as he returned his head back to it's original position.

After his small talk with Frances, Shadow was left in a rather lackluster mood. Neither happy nor sad, which was a welcomed surprised for most children of Hades. Many always seemed very sulking or dark personalities. He never understood the reasoning, but what could they do? Their personalities weren't always their choice, maybe if their lives wasn't so tragic compared to other demigods. Shadow leaned against the side of the Hades cabin, his eyes glancing over the camp in a watch for any suspicious activity. All thanks to the traitor, the camp was constantly on high alert for any monster attacks within it's borders nowadays. He wasn't going to be one asleep when the next attack came through, if they chose this time of day.

(it's okay! yesterday was a kinda lazy day for me anyways, i wasnt on really at all ^^')
Josie couldn't remember exactly when she'd fallen asleep, but it took longer than it normally would've. The reason being that Blaze had spent the night, which totally broke one of the camp rules and was absolutely nerve wracking. The fog of sleep was slowly fading as she stirred awake, subtly pressing closer to the warmth against her back. It was the kiss that finally woke her up. She blinked a couple of times and turned her head to look back at Blaze, her sleepy expression turning sheepish as she rolled over to face him and wrapped her arms around his broad shoulders. "Morning." She whispered quietly, her hands starting to rub up and down his back.

Frances was neither in worse or better spirits after talking to Shadow, but she was a little impressed with how long their conversation lasted. She didn't get back to her cabin until way after curfew, and despite going to sleep so late, she still woke up rather early. Fran sat up in her bed, staying there for a few moments as she rubbed the sleep from her eyes and looked over the rest of her sleeping siblings. It doesn't take her long to get ready, changing her clothes into a camp sweatshirt and a pair of shorts, then braided her hair back into two plaits in an attempt to tame her curls. The early mornings were always pretty chilly, especially if she was going to spend it in the strawberry fields like she always does. After grabbing her bag and leaving the cabin, she moved quietly through the camp and glanced around to see who else was awake. As Fran passed Hades cabin she had to do a double take when she spotted Shadow, just surprised that he was awake as well. She offered a small smile and waved at him.

"Morning" he whispered back as he watched her sleepy eyes. Despite their rule breaking, Blaze had slept pretty well compared to in his own bunk. The constant sound of machinery caused him to either put ear muffs on or some time of headphones to drown out the mechanic sounds echoing through the Hephaestus cabin. "I'm glad you slept somehow considered I know you didn't fall asleep until way after I did" Blaze mentioned. He eyed Josie with a small smirk, teasing her for her sense of rule following. If one didn't break the rules now and then, how could one ever understand the thrill? He rested his arms around the sides of her lower back, his thumb grazing over her back in a circular motion.

A deep breath in and then slowly exhaling, Shadow kept his eyes peeled for activity. Ever now and then, he'd close his eyes for a small reset of what he saw in hope of not imaging anything. Yet, he almost didn't realize how long he had actually been awake for until he saw Frances walking through camp toward the strawberry fields, clearly just having woken up. Although his face never changed emotions, their was a nod of his head toward Demeter's daughter. He didn't particularly like her, then again he didn't like many people, but he at least was respectful. He pushed away from the wall, and reached behind his back, clasping his hands together and stretched as far as he could go without pain running up his arms. Shadow then repeated this same motion but instead above his head. He rotated his head in a circular movement before walking toward Fran. "I see your awake bright and early," he muttered.

Of course she giggled soon after and cuddled up closer, especially since his arms held her so, and her back arched slightly as his thumb rubbed over her skin. "Yeah, but it was nice to see you sleeping. Not to sound creepy or anything, but you just looked so peaceful." She said with a soft smile, reaching a hand up to push some of his hair out of his face. "More than I've ever seen you." Josie added in a softer voice, leaning in to press a quick kiss to his lips.

She stopped walking and waited for him to approach, watching as he stretched and giving a breathy chuckle at his comment. "Hard to break habits, yknow?" She adjusted her basket in the crook of her arm, it was filled with some pens and pencils, her journal, and a small blanket. "What are you doing awake anyways? Did you sleep at all?" The shorter girl asked, sounding genuinely concerned as she looked over his appearance.

He pulled away from her kiss and gave her another soft smile that barely creased the sides of his face. "What would you like to do today?" Blaze asked. ------------- His eyes closed for a split second as he finally realized that he had stayed up for most of the night, then again it felt comforting. No noise aside from nature, no screaming from the climbing wall or Pegasi flying overhead from the stables. Peacefully in his own sense of mind. "Sleep? Never heard of it," he muttered in a monotone voice. Shockingly enough, it was a joke on his end, but not many would pick up on it, no facial expressions or tone to say otherwise. "The strawberry fields I assume?" |

"I meant outside of sleeping, of course I've never see you dozing in your cabin. You just always look like you're focused on something, like this." And then her face stiffens up, brows knitting together and her lips drawing into a thin line. It's not quite a scowl, but it's definitely not a pleasant expression. Josie smiled up at him after a few moments, beaming and looking like she was trying not to laugh after just teasing him. At his question, she would shift to lay on her back, still pressed close to him as she stared up at the ceiling of her cabin. "Hmm, that's a good question. Honestly, I've been wanting to go into the forest and walk along the camps borders one more time, try and see if I could find any evidence of a break through for those monsters to get it." She sighed and leaned her head into his chest. "I've already checked once before, but I'm just having a hard time believing that there's a traitor in camp."

Even if it didn't sound like a joke, Frances could recognize that he had meant to deliver it like one, despite his monotone voice. She gave a courtesy giggle and continued to smile at Shadow. "Well, maybe you should talk to Hypnos' kids on that one." She attempted to joke back, her tone very clearly a playful one. At the mention of the strawberry fields, Fran brightened up and eagerly nodded. "Yes! Just to check up on how everyone is doing," everyone being the strawberries, "then I was going to try and get some drawing done." She lifted her shoulder a bit, showing off the contents in her basket. "Would you like to join me? I've got a blanket and maybe we could find you a nice shady spot to lie in."

Sadly, his focus was not exactly where he wanted at most times. The whole traitor dilemma has had Blaze working tirelessly to find new ways to prevent issues like this occurring again. Except some of the methods presented weren't morally correct and he hated that those ideas popped into his mind. His face scrunched together with a tireless look at the mention of the traitor. "I agree, but truly what can we do?" Blaze's voice wavered, a small bit of defeat present. "I wish I knew who it was..." His brow furrowed and a frown set in on his face as the dark thoughts of people hurting his family. If he found who it was, they might not leave the camp without multiple major injuries. "We can definitely do that, give me a chance to set up some traps that they might not expect," Blaze said a darker smirk appearing on his face.

With a roll of his eyes, Shadow gave the offer some thought as he didn't fully want to just go back to sleep. Napping might be the best option if he wanted to maintain a regular sleep schedule. Yet, that meant spending more time with Frances. Slowly, weighing his options, his eyes shifting back and forth before shrugging his shoulders. "Alright I guess..." he mumbled. "Though I'm warning you now, if I fall asleep and you wake me up. It better be life or death situation or I will make sure this camp loses half of it's strawberry fields." He had turned to glare at Frances, his threat very real as he didn't want to be constantly falling in and out of sleep. If he had to fall asleep, he'd rather endure the struggle once than multiple times.

Mathias, for the first time he could remember, actually hesitated for a few moments. He stared at Echo from the water, the words dying on his lips for a moment before he swallowed and shrugged once. "Well. I guess it would be stupid of me to think that you haven't noticed that I like you more than the others. It's hard not to, I mean, you're Echo. Who in camp doesn't think about you?" He asked, masking his rare nervousness with a flash of confidence and ease. "Why'd you come out and join me?" He asked in return. ”I doubt everyone in camp thinks about me like that.” Echo said with a shake of her head, “Maybe I share the same feelings as you, and that’s why I decided to come out here.” She added, answering his question. Mathias did visibly pause at that, ducking a bit into the water and hoping that the darkness hid the flush he felt rising on his face. He always hated feeling such vulnerable feelings. The pain of his childhood love being lost had done more than enough to fracture his hopes, and the guilt he felt for feeling this again after her even after all these years ate at the part of him that wanted Echo so badly. Not to conquer, but to confide in, and to protect and be protected by. Unable to know how to respond to the concept of her feeling the same way he did, he could only scoff lightly and chuckle. "You kidding? I couldn't fit the number of people I know would want you on my hand, let alone pretend that I'm too blind to ignore your charms." He tried to smirk again, struggling to hide his panicking heart. "You like me?" |

“I’m pretty sure that is because of my mother. Sometimes it’s difficult to tell if someone likes me for who I am rather than what I look like.” Echo said, looking away from him and resting her chin in her hand. “And yes, I do like you. That isn’t a problem, is it?” She asked.

Sometimes it’s difficult to tell if someone likes me for who I am rather than what I look like.” Echo said, looking away from him and resting her chin in her hand. “And yes, I do like you. That isn’t a problem, is it?” She asked. "Well. That..." Mathias stammered, before he pushed himself to maintain his composure. "I'm a kid of Ares. So you'd probably already know how people think about that. Doesn't make us who we are, just gives us an edge in some stuff." He walked out of the water, pushing his wet hair back again and looking at Echo. "That's the opposite of a problem. You like me, I like you, so. Want to do something about it?" He offered. Though, he seemed to be avoiding mentioning dating or relationships, the concept still not common for him. |

Not anything too serious, but…” He blinked, eyes lidding as he fell into the familiar song and dance of sensualness and flirting. “Now’s your chance to take the lead, I’ll let you, this time.” He offered. |

Echo felt her face flush at Mathias’ words, looking away quickly and glancing back down at her hands. “Th-that’s, um.. I-I don’t think that I’m quite ready for that yet.” She said, stumbling over her words a bit. Echo cleared her throat as she tried to regain her composure again, “I mean, n-not like it’s off the table, but I just don’t want to rush anything.”
