Nat looked up again as the woman approached and spoke to her this time. She frowned in confusion a bit,”A Seeing Stone?”she questioned lifting the object again and holding it delicately in her hand. She’d never really heard of such an object and wasn’t exactly sure what the lady meant. And a special stone? It definitely felt special and looked perfectly carved. But then Nat frowned“Well…if it’s a special object… I’m not sure I can afford it,”Nat murmured back to Isadora, face falling a little in disappointment as she looked down at the trinket, which just felt right in her hands.

Quinn looked at the two necklaces Lyra swiped. “Nice.” She spoke. “At least you grabbed something.” She spoke before moving over to her back and pulling what she grabbed. The first was a silver chain with a bar charm on it. She also pulled a black ring out. “I grabbed these, wonder if they’re worth anything.”
Erin inwardly groaned when she heard Sasha’s voice. Of course she would be here. “Don’t you have someone else to bother.” She huffed, pulling her sword from its sheath at her side. “I want to practice not entertain you.”

“Agreed.” Jacob said with a smile. “I want to do this more.” he said before thinking. “I’ll bet you that I’ll clean your cabin if you win.” He suggested to her.
Shard wandered up next to her and looked in the box. “Whatcha looking at?” He asked her, reaching into the box to pull out a key and look at it.

Or… hm. Maybe someone could look at them.” Lyra suddenly mused, inwardly grinning at the idea of them being of importance somehow. The obsidian necklace especially looked familiar, and it gave off a creepy aura. She held it tightly and decided. “If Hephaestus kids were working on these, they could be relics. You know, Nathanial knows alot about relics.” She offered sweetly. “But your practice always entertains me.” Sasha purred, before she lifted from the barrier and started walking her way closer to Erin. She pulled her sword back out, eyeing the faint scratches on it and mourning dramatically. “Sword needs some loving. It’s my beloved weapon too. So if you want to spar with me, I’ll need to use one of these pathetic training swords.” She mused, hoping Erin would rise to the bait to spar with her. She was tired and knew she would likely lose, but being pinned under Erin would be an even greater victory.

As Christian returned back to normal, he looked at the necklaces they grabbed, admiring them. His eyes trained on the black ring. “That looks pretty cool,”he stated getting up to look at it. “What do you ladies think, you want to keep some and sell the rest? Or just keep it all,”he grinned at them, happy to have at least gotten away with some interesting items, albeit small and not exactly the kind of items they were going for. He just hoped that it was something special and that someone from the Hephaestus cabin would miss it very much, as payback for getting zapped.
(Lol Christian being hecka petty right now)

“Keeping these until I can really see what they’re worth.” Lyra grinned cheekily, before her eyes darkened. “After what they did to you, I’m tempted to do it again and pour syrup everywhere so ants infest all their little projects.” She seethed, before taking a breath and composing herself. “You didn’t get that kiss though, sorry, Christian.”

"It's hard to explain, honestly." Obsidian said, closing her book as she spoke. "I suppose I can feel it, but it doesn't exactly feel like anything I've touched before." She continued. Obsidian hadn't realized how much Mathias admired magic, having never seen such a reaction from the son of Ares.
-----
Phoenix nodded in agreement, "Let's check towards the back of the store. There might be something more interesting back there." She said, glancing at Kyo to see what he thought.
---------------------------------------------
Nova yawned, slowly starting to doze off as she waited for Ryder to pull the car over. She gave a small shake of her head, trying to stay awake as best as she could. Once they got rid of the car, she was going to need to stay awake so that they can walk into the city. "Are we almost there?" She asked, trying to fight back another yawn and failing to hold it back.
---------------------------------------------
Kumiko grinned and nodded, accepting the bet, "Deal! And if you win, hmm..." She trailed off, trying to decide on what she could offer in on this bet. "Well, what sounds like a good offer for that? I know cleaning my cabin won't be a huge problem for you, considering that my siblings don't have a whole bunch of little projects scattered around. I don't want to move something and then end up accidentally breaking it."
-----
"Th-they're called skeleton keys." Roxana said, looking up at Shard shyly. "Th-they were used as a s-sort of master k-key, and c-can unlock most doors." She continued as she continued going through the box, picking out the ones that she liked. Roxana looked at each key closely as she picked them out, wondering why she could feel a strange connection to them. "Um, they a-also have quite a long h-history too."
---------------------------------------------
"Nonsense, dear. Don't worry about money, consider these things a first time buyers deal. I'll gladly accept only a dollar if that's all you have, or even your word to return at a later date and fulfill a favor of my choosing." Isadora said, gently taking the Seeing Stone from Nat and holding it up to her eye like one would wear a monocle. "This Stone will help you see things that will help you in the long run, so I would suggest that you keep it nearby should you need it."
Echo looked back at the shelves again as Isadora spoke to Nat, starting to think that there was more to this shop than meets the eye. Walking along the aisle, she paused when she caught sight of a shabby and dusty looking black cloth. Setting the wooden case down briefly, Echo pulled it off the shelf and shook it out, letting it unfold and shake off what was obviously years of dust. Coughing a bit, she gave it a closer look, realizing that it was actually a cloak and was in a lot better shape than she had initially thought it was.

Coughing a bit, she gave it a closer look, realizing that it was actually a cloak and was in a lot better shape than she had initially thought it was. Mathias watched the magic in her palm intensely for a moment longer, before her words seemed to break his trance. He lifted a brow, before another smile graced his face. “That’s got to be exhilarating. Like when I first hold a new kind of weapon. Something new like that, feeling it. Makes your blood sing.” He blinked, before he seemed to realize how intently he was watching. He rubbed the back of his neck. “Sorry if I’m being nosy. Ah… back home, there’s alot of ancient forms of magic that are practiced. It’s rare now, in modern times, but sometimes they traveled through Aswan to sell wares, preform healing rituals, all the works.” Mathias sat back now, letting his back thump against one of the trees as he mused, voice rumbling like a river over stone, with memory and fascination. “I used to beg my mom to take me to see them when they came through. I never saw anything like you can do, but the feeling was still the same. I guess I knew I was different long before I knew my father’s name, because even back then, I always believed in magic.” He looked at Obsidian now, eyes flashing brightly as he gave a lazy grin. “The color of it suits you. The magic, I mean. Is it always that color for you?” —- “Back of the store we go.” Kyo chuckled, carefully carrying the stained glass as he allowed Phoenix to take the front. He glanced around, humming. “The scars don’t pull anymore. I think I’m finally fully healed from the attack.” He grimaced as he gently patted his abdomen. “I wish I could have helped fight back the monsters after that happened. I didn’t expect her to… do that.” He admitted, thinking of Salem with dread in his chest. —- “We’re here.” Ryder said suddenly, gently veering off into a grossly overgrown property. There was just barely a visible dirt roadway leading to a nearly fallen apart house. It was clear nobody had been there in years. He pulled the car up into the decrepit shed-like spot behind the house that was clearly meant to be a parking spot for the owner’s car. It would cover its view from searching eyes for sure. From there, a path stretched through the woods, right towards the outskirts of the city. Ryder could already hear city sounds in the distance. “Get your stuff, and get on out. We gotta move and not stop until we get there.”

Nat’s eyes brightened at that and she smiled appreciatively,”that’s very generous of you, thank you. I would like to buy it off of you, because I do like to keep things,”she said lightly, with a small laugh, knowing that she wasn’t always the best at returning things if she liked them. Reaching out and taking the stone circle again, she held it up to her eye before adding,”but, I’d still be glad to help you out with one of those favors if you need, sometime,”she offered, feeling a warmth towards the kind but unusual old lady. “I’m going to continue taking a look around and see what else I can find. Thank you again.” Nat turned her attention around to the shelves again, wondering what else could be of interest in here.

"I think I do want to see you strut, and I think I need to see it right now." Melody laughed again, grinning as she watched him get all embarrassed, covering his face with his hands. She was pretty good at getting people to fluster, and she was charming enough to get away with it. Ruffling Lloyd's feathers was fun, and good natured on Melody's part. Then she smiled at his compliments, fighting the instinct to brush them off. "Do you think I should go classical? Or try and become a popstar?"
Josie wiped her eyes, finally able to see since the smoke was gone. She looked at Blaze and cleared her throat, feeling a little hoarse still. She gave a short, raspy giggle along with his laugh, grateful that they even had vents in the first place. It made sense for his cabin, though. When he turned his head, she followed and saw that they were alone now. Or, at the very least, the runaway campers weren't downstairs anymore. Josie reached out and cupped the side of his face, bringing Blaze to look at her now and kissing the scowl off of his face. "What were they even in here for anyways?" She asked after, starting to stand up straight, smoothing out the skirt of her dress as she did so.
Juniper turned with him as he circled her, not feeling one bit threatened. She stood defensively, sword out in front of her. Despite not doing much fighting, she retained technique really well, and she was fast. Juniper had always been nimble on her feet, probably from her years of dancing before she went to camp. Her shining green eyes watched as he stood still, her gaze flickering to his feet, watching for any sign of where he might move. The moment he moved she was quick to parry, grunting as her sword came up to clash with his, then used all of her strength to throw his blade off. Her hand came up to his chest and she smirked. "What kind of prize are we talking about?" She asked with an innocent giggle before pushing him back and raising her sword to swing it down at him, hoping to catch him off guard.

Lloyd flustered even more, though he stood up and gave his best attempt at a pose. It was certainly awkward, even though he did have the looks for it. He gave a breathless laugh before he asked. “Is this what you’re looking for? I’m telling you, I’ve got to be the worst model to ever exist.” He smiled through his embarrassment, before humoring. “I think Classical’s more your style. You’ve got a great personality and energy, but stardom can be stressful, and full of creeps.” He shook his head. “You deserve way better than that.”

Melody bit her lip as Lloyd posed, trying to contain her giggles. She ended up bursting out loud with laughter when he relaxed, letting out a couple of snorts as she also provided him with a round of applause. "Oh my gods, Lloyd. That's exactly what I was looking for, thank you." She said, still giggling. "Maybe you should stick to being a park ranger after all, the modeling world couldn't handle you." Melody teased and let out a soft sigh, trying to catch her breath. Then she smiled and tilted her head. "Was kind of thinking the same thing. Stardom could be cool but being that famous feels like it requires a ton of effort." Melody nodded, looking away briefly only to glance back at him. "Not sure if I'll really get used to how complimentary you are."

But I only tell the truth. I don’t think I have it in me to ever lie. I don’t think I could.” He admitted, before his eyes grew soft and a bit heavy. “Everyone was so brave during that monster attack. I tried my best, but I felt a bit… useless, in comparison. I guess I want to be supportive morally if I can’t do it physically.”

He rose with Josie and checked around the small area they were in. "They were looking to steal stuff," Blaze murmured. He had watched Lyra put back a necklace, one that belong to a Hermes kid. He broke away from Josie as he moved to the case that his sibling had set up for the pieces of jewelry they were asked to work one. His eyes closed and his head slowly rolled back to look up toward the ceiling. "Oh, dear gods" he muttered loud enough for Josie to hear. "They stole two other necklaces, except they belong to other campers. One of them is a Hades relic or trinket and it belongs to Valen..." Blaze's hands come up to slid up the front of his face and covered his eyes for a moment before he let out a large sigh. "The other belongs to Jacob and let's just say those three will legit want to belong in the Fields of Punishment before Jacob gets a hold of them."

Obsidian closed her hand into a fist, letting the magic disappear from her hand as she listened to him talk about his memories of his home, "Sounds like the magic there is pretty interesting." She said, curious to see what kind of magic a different country had to offer. "Most magic tends to reflect the aura of the one casting it, and will sometimes be the same color as their eyes as well." Obsidian continued, pointing towards her own violet eyes. ------ "No one did. I don't think even Obsidian expected her to pull a move like that." Phoenix said, a light frown forming on her face. If she ever saw Salem again, Phoenix would certainly make sure that she got some payback for what she had done to Kyo. "It's better that she's gone. Clearly there was something wrong with her. I mean, I get that Capture the Flag means going all out, but there are limits for a reason." ---------------------------- "Of course, dear. I'm more than happy to see new customers return to my shop, look around as long as you would like." Isadora said, stepping back and watching the two girls move about briefly before she moved off to somewhere else into the store. Echo inspected the cloak a bit more before she decided to take that as well and went back over to Nat, blinking in surprise when she noticed that the old woman had disappeared, "Hey, where did she go?" She asked, looking back at Nat. ------ Cat giggled at Jared's words, giving a small shake of her head at the thought of her being a strong warrior. "Maybe one day. I still have a long way to go before I can even dare to be considered one of those great heroes." She said as she made her way into the stables. "I think Black Pearl's stall is on the left side. There should be a name plate there too." Cat told Jared, having only found the stall by herself once before. Every other time had been when she was having her lessons with Nakita. xσxσJα∂є------------------------------ Nathaniel quickly stepped to the side to dodge her attack and brought his blade up for his own counter attack, "Hm, how about, if you win, I'll take you out into the city for a nice date." He suggested with a grin. It was a good opportunity for him to get out of camp for a while and get some things taken care of before the next steps in his plan. "It's been a while since we've had one, hasn't it? It would be nice to get out for a bit and relax." Nathaniel continued, not letting up with his strikes as he spoke.

Icefire15)) Mathias watched the magic dissipate, feeling a tad disappointed to see it go. Even so, he trained his eyes on Obsidian’s, having not noticed just how nice the color was now that he was close enough to really see it. He blinked, an odd feeling welling up in his belly as he found himself staring for a moment. He blinked suddenly to chase away the sudden pause, offering a small grin as he mused. “So if I had magic, mine might be green? Hazel? Has there ever been hazel colored magic?” He wondered, before he added. “I’ve known you long enough I should know your eye color, but I can’t believe I haven’t before this. Well, consider it remembered now.” He moved to stand again, feeling a bit bad. “Really. Sorry for interrupting you. I bet the last thing you want is some Ares brute messing up your concentration.” He teased, though it was apologetic as well. — “Do you think Salem brought the monsters to camp? Some of the Campers are adamant that she did.” Kyo asked Phoenix quietly, his eyes flickering to the side as he admitted. “The holes she put in my back want to say yes but… something else is telling me that somehow, I don’t think it was her. We saw her the entire time. How could she have had time to call in a bunch of monsters?” The son of Hephaestus gave a soft sigh before he added, voice low so only she could hear him. “Have you had anymore lapses of that odd power you felt back then? Have you been training with it at all?”

As Nat moved further down the aisle, she spotted a dark wooden case, with some kind of unreadable engraving on it. Opening up the box, she found a pair of short and sleek silver bracers elegantly engraved in design and resting again a velvet cushioning. Upon hearing Echo’s voice, she looked towards her, glancing around at her question,”well…she was just here. I was just talking to her,”Nat murmured, realizing that the old lady did slip away pretty quickly and quietly. She looked back towards the armor in the box and picked it up, admiring the minimal design before strapping it onto her forearm. She moved her arms in different positions examining it and appreciating how it fit like a second skin on her arms. Deciding that it would be a pretty yet useful piece of armor, she took it off and placed it back in the box, snapping it shut and picking it up to take with her, feeling satisfied with her findings. “I see you found something else?”she asked, nodding towards the cloak Echo was holding now.
Jared nodded, taking a hold of Cat’s hand again and leading her further down the stable before he stopped at the right stall with Black Pearl’s name plate. “Here we are,”he told her looking towards the pegasus. “Hi there girl,”he cooed calmly to her. He was fond of horses and pegasi and appreciated how the creatures could be so strong and powerful but calm and elegant at the same time.

Chuckling at Rosaline's fawning over the cloths, James said, "Don't know about the whole 'divine' thing, but glad to know you like it." Growing curious, he reached out and touched the fabric. He had to admit, it didn't feel bad. It felt smooth, like his fingers could slide off of it. All in all, this was a decent piece of clothing he thought. "So, ya gonna get it or what? Our do you need more time," he questioned growing antsy. “Nope! That’s it, honey. Just the dress. We’d be here all day if I was really going shopping, you know?” Rosaline laughed, quickly pulling the dress back and looping her arm through James’. “Register’s over here, get those legs moving! We’ll go see Mr.Wiler in his resteraunt after. At least, as long as he didn’t take today off.” James stumbled a bit when Rosaline suddenly looped her arm through his own. One would think that he would be used to being suddenly grabbed and pulled by others, especially girls, but that is not the case. As he then followed his companions lead to the register, his ear twitched as it picked up the sound of a hoof clacking against the ground not to far away from them. However, given then amount of people he could hear around them, and the linoleum floor, he could just be mistaking what her heard from something else. Either way though, he tensed up slightly.

She quickly handed the women her money and glanced once at James. Leaning over, she whispered. “Something caught your attention, Jay?”

"I said sometimes, it won't always be the same color as your eyes." Obsidian said with a shake of her head, feeling a bit amused at his assumption. "And it's fine. Honestly, I should be used to interruptions by now." She paused for a bit before she opened up her book again and flipped it open to the last page she had been reading and looked back up at him, "You know, if you're so interested in magic, I'll let you stay and watch while I practice. That is, if you promise to keep quiet so that I can concentrate." Obsidian offered. Practicing magic without full concentration can be very dangerous and can cause harm to the user and anyone that was nearby. ----- "Maybe she was part of it?" Phoenix suggested, glancing back at Kyo as she picked up what looked like old clockwork gears and parts. "There could be more than just one traitor hiding in camp, but I don't think the other campers would be too pleased to hear that." She added, deciding to take the parts as well. Phoenix had a few projects that were missing a couple vital parts and figured that she could find something mixed in with them.
Moonblazer------------------------------------- Echo gave the bracers in Nat's hand an appreciative look before she looked back at the cloak in her hands, "Yeah. I can't explain it, but it feels like I was meant to find it. I felt the same thing when I found that mirror." She said, holding the cloak up so that Nat could see it. "It looks like it needs some repairs, but the material it's made out of is very nice. And it's the kind of style I normally go with too." Echo added as she folded the cloak back up. ----- Cat smiled when she heard the familiar nicker of Nakita's pegasus, digging into her bag to pull out the apple that she had brought with her, "Sounds like she's happy to see us." She said, holding the apple out for Black Pearl. Black Pearl shook her head happily as she came closer to the stall door and took the offered apple. The pegasus always enjoyed visits from the blind girl, as well as the treats that she brought. "Do you want to feed her one too? I have a couple extra." Cat asked Jared, turning her head to face him.

She paused for a bit before she opened up her book again and flipped it open to the last page she had been reading and looked back up at him, "You know, if you're so interested in magic, I'll let you stay and watch while I practice.
Mathias perked up at that, eyes seeming to brighten as he offered Obsidian a flash of a grin. He motioned that his lips were locked as he responded quickly. “I wouldn’t want to break your concentration. You won’t hear a word out of me, until you want to, if you want to.” He mused with a faint smirk, before that child-like wonder in his eyes returned as he settled down to sit against a tree once more, watching her as if he was watching a thrilling battle. —- “I just… don’t understand.” Kyo murmured, before he seemed to distractedly glance to the side. “For some of us, this is the only home we have, or know. It’s supposed to be safe, but those monsters still got in. What could we have done to deserve that kind of fear?” He shook his head suddenly, before releasing a deep breath. “If it ever happens again, I want to fight this time. I’ve been training lately… sometimes late at night. Just in case.” He admitted with a hint of a sheepish apology, knowing that Jacob didn’t like it much when any of them were out late alone. Even so, Kyo didn’t want to wake anyone up, and the thought of fire inside the cabin, a fire started by him, even within a fire-proof cabin? Unthinkable. Never again. “And if Salem ever does come back, I don’t want her thinking she can ever blindside me again.” Kyo grew serious, eyes sharp with promise even as his voice was soft as usual.

Obsidian gave Mathias a small smile before she turned her attention back to her book and started studying it again. After a while, she started mouthing some of the words and gave a wave of her hand, a few violet sparks jumping from her fingers and scattering across the ground. Slowly, small flowers started to sprout wherever the sparks had landed, but stopped growing after they had reached a few inches tall. Frowning slightly, Obsidian studied the page again before she attempted the spell a couple more times.

"Who knows what their logic is. We just need to stay on guard for now and keep training, but we should be careful and make sure we train during the day tho." Phoenix said, looking back at Kyo with a knowing look. "If you want, we can train together. We can find a spot away from the other campers so that we can practice with our fire abilities." She added, wanting to work on her own control with it.

Mathias watched the magic with owlish eyes, tempted to reach out and touch the newly grown flowers. He held himself back though, not wanting to mess with her magic and somehow throw her off. Instead, he pulled his knees to his chest, resting his head lazily on them as he watched with rapt attention. He supposed this was how the Dionysus and Demeter kids felt when they could grow their plants on a whim. But Obsidian’s magic made the process so much more mesmerizing. —- “Oh, yes. I’d like that.” Kyo perked up, knowing that Phoenix was one of the only ones he could fully practice his fire with. Unable to be burned by it, he could remove the terror of accidentally hurting her. He hummed. “Maybe Blaze can come too. I was surprised when he told me back after the Camp attack that he too discovered his ability to use fire. I told him he needed to learn to control it. Do you think it means something? Two Pyrokinetic children is already rare, but three?” He glanced to the side gently. “I read that it means… something, is coming. That we’ll be needed for. I wish I could talk to Hephaestus. Uhm. Father, I guess.” He admitted.

James stumbled a bit when Rosaline suddenly looped her arm through his own. As Rosaline stopped to chatter with the cashier and hand over her new dress, she did notice minutely that James seemed to be bothered by something. She quickly handed the women her money and glanced once at James. Leaning over, she whispered. “Something caught your attention, Jay?” "Yeah, something like that," James said as he tried to focus his hearing to try and pinpoint the sound he heard. After a minute of not really being able to distinguish one clack of a shoe from another, he just sighed in defeat. "I guess that my sense are just a bit off cause all these people."
