Spencer reached for what looked liked a wrap and also grabbed some strawberries as well as grapes. She nodded thoughtfully,”well I definitely didn’t find him rude…but honestly I like a person who can be mysterious. It’s something I wish I could do. I have a very expressive face. People can always tell how I’m really feeling,”she said with a dry laugh. “Actually, I’m pretty sure I looked terrified during capture the flag, Poor Hunter had to watch out for me cause I was an easy target and they could sense it,”she recounted, not complaining but more in a humorous way, remembering her look of horror as he explained the game to her that day.

Kumiko started walking towards an open table once Spencer was ready, “Honestly, I’m pretty sure that’s what most new campers look like during their first game of Capture the Flag.” She said, sighing as she remembered her own first game. Talk about chaotic, she was surprised that no one had been killed during that game! She gave a small shake of her head and sat down at the table, “That’s alright though, we’ve got enough mysterious people in our group. Nothing wrong with us having another friend who’s expressive like I am!” Kumiko said with a friendly smile.

(woof just got home and can actually sit down to type) Juniper nodded as she listened to Tatum, loosely holding her hands behind her back and gently swaying from foot to foot. The need to always be moving was a trait many campers shared, one that not event Juniper could avoid. At the comment to her pedicure, she glanced down and wiggled her toes, beaming at Tatum now. "Thanks! It changes color to my mood, and it's my first time trying it out so I'm excited to see if it actually works." Right now the polish was a bright sparkly pink color, meaning that she was happy. "Hey, are you hungry? Maybe we could eat some lunch together." [@ xσxσJα∂є ]
Josie was just leaving the arena to head back to her cabin, her bow hanging across her body while her quiver of bows hung off her shoulder. She used her forearm to wipe the sweat from her forehead, and let out a heavy breath as she felt her heart finally begin to slow. It had been a pretty rigorous training day for her. Capture the flag was fast approaching and she wanted to be ready, she wanted any team she ended up on to be the winning team, so she had to make sure she wouldn't be the weak link. While it was her intention to drop off her things and then seek out Blaze, a curious sight caught her attention and she figured her boyfriend could wait. They didn't exactly have concrete plans anyways. Treading as lightly as she could, Josie crept her way closer and closer to Malcom, biting her lip to keep her giggles from giving her away. When she felt she was close enough, the brunette leaned in even closer and spoke loudly to try and startle him. "And just what do you think you're doing?" - - - - Finally packing up her things, Melody let out a sigh as left the beach, already missing the suns rays and the sound of the waves crashing on to the beach. Slinging her tote bag over her shoulder, she made her way towards the cabins. There were a lot of campers entering and exiting their cabins, and some loitering on the porches. One person in particular made her stop and approach, leaning on the railing of the porch. "Hey Lloyd, what're you reading today?" She asked with a warm and gentle smile brightening her expression. [@ Moonblazer ] "No! No, you're fine. I was just tending to my little fungi garden and thought I recognized somebody out here!" Frances spoke with a sheepish look in her face, and an apologetic smile. She withheld the fact that she was wary at first and thought he was a stranger at first. The monster attack felt like a distant memory at this point, but it still put others on edge. Had Frances known any of her other siblings or friends weren't busy she would've dragged them into the forest with her instead of going by herself. When he chuckled, she gave a light laugh herself as well as a slow nod. "What's the Ares cabin like anyways? Sometimes I imagine it's almost as chaotic as the Hermes cabin."

Spencer smiled brightly in response,”you are very expressive, and I appreciate that. It’s nice to not be the only one,”she said, sitting down. Spencer glanced around the room seeing all the different campers at their various tables. “Sooo…what can you tell me about people here? Is there any juicy camp gossip I should know about? Or who’s cool and who to look out for?”Spencer asked, eyes sparking curiously as she looked back at Kumiko.
(I’m gunna place Nat in the dining pavilion for now until Echo becomes available)
Nat made he way into the dining pavilion, quickly moving to grab a sandwich and drink, and moving towards a table where some of her half-siblings sat, having a debate about who out of them had snagged the best items when pickpocketing or “borrowing” from someone.

Tatum let out a small chime like laugh,”well, it looks like you’re in a good mood them,”she noted, smiling at her half-sister. She appreciated how Juniper was such a happy warm spirit so often. “Yeah, lunch sounds great! We should head there now,”Tatum nodded to her offer, nodding her head in the direction to start walking. “What have you been up to lately?”she asked, realizing she hadn’t spoken with her in a while.

You’re welcome to make some characters that will be willing to join Nathaniel’s side when he’s finally revealed! Or have some campers that are already on his side ^.^ The plot only needs one of the children of the Big Three really ^.^” the plan is that she’s to be used as a sacrifice later on down the road. But there are definitely other ways that you can be involved! We’re working on some new ideas, but I’m always open for for suggestions as well! Really what we need right now is for disgruntled demigods to join Nathaniel in his plans, so that would definitely be a great help if others got involved with him.)
Nathaniel looked past Frances through the trees, seeing a small hint of the garden. “Fungi? That’s not something I would expect someone to be growing.” He commented, feigning curiosity in her activities. Nathaniel sighed internally, just his luck that he chose a spot that someone else had decided to use as a gardening spot. “I doubt the Hermes cabin has as many fights and arguments as my cabin does. We get along rather well, but sometimes our tempers can get the best of us. So yes, I’d say it’s about as chaotic as them.” He added with a small shake of his head, having broken up many of the fights that broke out between his half-siblings. “Honestly, sometimes I just don’t know what to do with the lot of them.”

Kumiko took a couple bites out of her apple and sat back thoughtfully, “Hmm, I get along with just about everyone here in camp, but I suppose there are a couple people you would want to look out for.” She said as a few people popped up in her head as she thought about it. “There’s one girl in the Aphrodite cabin that has a real mean girl streak going on, Echo’s always having problems with her. Her name is Kristen, and if you ever run into her, don’t let her snide remarks get to you. She’s nothing but a bully.” Kumiko warned.

Spencer nodded, listening intently and taking mental notes. She’d seen the Aphrodite girls pass by a few times, and she remembered briefly meeting Echo during capture the flag. Seeing as how Echo already stood out as pretty different from other Aphrodite kids, she really hope to not run into Kristen at any point. “Got it, Kristen of Aphrodite, kind of a bully,”she confirmed, then waiting for more, clearly excited to learn more about people in camp.

Kumiko continued to list off a couple more names and which cabin they came from. It was a rather short list, but there were very few people who got on Kumiko’s bad side. “Let’s see, who else..? Oh… and then there’s Emilia, from the Ares cabin.” She said, sighing at the thought of the one girl who always seemed to have it out for her. Kumiko could never understand why the daughter of Ares disliked her so much, but she wasn’t the type to let that sort of thing get her down. “She’s… not exactly easy to get along with. Then again, I might be a bit biased in saying that, we always seem to be at odds with each other.”

Spencer tilted her head in surprise, especially at Kumiko saying that her and this Emilia girl always seemed to be at odds. “Really?…I can’t really see you not getting along with someone to that extent,”she spoke honestly, eyebrows raised. “Well…what happened between you guys?”she asked her, leaning forward and resting her chin in her hand, elbow on the table.

Kumiko gave her a small smile, “Pretty surprising, isn’t it? My guess is that our personalities are just too different. I suppose sometimes I can be a bit too sunny for some people.” She said, putting her half eaten sandwich down as she spoke. “And then there was that time on the Climbing Wall. Emilia isn’t a big fan of being shown up by someone else. Especially by someone who is a lot smaller than her. It was my first competition at the camp, and I’ve always been rather fast at climbing too. So she wasn’t all that happy when I won the race that day.”

Spencer shook her head, fully annoyed for her friend. “Wow, not a very good sport, is she? I guess some people just like to be around sad, cloudy people. How long ago was that? And what did she do when you beat her??”Spencer asked, more and more invested in this story. It was hard to believe that anyone could dislike Kumiko, especially with her bright bubbly personality.

“Ah, well…” Kumiko trailed off, remembering what Emilia had done not long after that competition. “This is actually a bit embarrassing honestly. We were about nine at time, I think, so it was about seven years ago now. Emilia had already been at the camp for a year or so, and I had only just joined myself. She found out I still had a baby blanket that my mom had made me before she had died, so she stole it from my cabin and made sure to let everyone in camp know just who’s blanket it was. Then she ‘accidentally’ took a pair of scissors to it before she gave it back to me.” She explained, the thought of the ruined baby blanket still causing a small ache in her chest. That blanket had been one of the very few things that she had left of her mother, and it had been heartbreaking to see it torn to shreds like that. Kumiko gave a small laugh, not wanting to sour the mood, “I’m pretty sure I was inconsolable for a week after that! My poor counselor certainly had their hands full with me.”

“What, I can’t be elegant?” Sasha teased, her brow lifting as she recognized his attempt to force her back with his strength. She allowed the pushback for a moment, putting in her strain to push back. At the last second, she suddenly relented to the side, ducking to the right so his own force could send him forwards. —- Lyra noticed a few campers walking into the dining pavilion. She could already tell that Evelyn was helping in the kitchen today, with how active the pavilion was. Campers swarmed around like flies when she took charge in the kitchen. Though, Lyra doubted she would be much use. Evelyn, if anything, was a danger to the plan, if she had any inkling of the only ability Nemesis could offer, the ability to read if a person was honest or deceitful. Lyra steered clear of her unless to compliment her food. That, she could be honest about. Besides that, she was a powerless demigod. Even more so than Lyra herself. “Smells good today. Wonder what’s on the menu.” Lyra mused to her twin. Jared felt the sudden loss of resistance and immediately started flying forward, but he quickly used the momentum to roll forward and spin back around to face her, sword up and ready for her. “Is that all you got?”he asked, a cocky grin on his face as he beckoned her forward. Christian took in the aroma of the food, his stomach growling,”yeah it does smell good,”he grunted, quickening his face to go grab some food. “I haven’t eaten yet today,”he mused. Sasha offered the young man a wily grin, before her eyes grew dark with the thrill of a fight. She spun her sword in her palm, before grabbing it firmly and sending a barrage of swipes at him. While her strength was not nearly as good as Jared’s, she moved with speed and skill, and a fierce drive to win. “Today’s tea looks good too.” Lyra mused absently, following Christian to the food but glancing once over at the girl she recognized as Spencer. She quietly huffed, murmuring to Christian. “Kumiko’s got her friendly little hand in Spencer’s already. With all the sunshine and rainbows coming out of her ass, you’d think she would be a daughter of Iris, not us.” She muttered with a hint of bitterness. Turning back to the food, she offered a charming smile to the workers, and then to Evelynn as the busy girl passed by. “Coming through!” Evelyn called as she carried a small plate with a cinnamon muffin on it. Stopping right at the side of Kumiko and Spencer’s table, the curly-haired woman offered a kind smile as she explained. “This is for you, Spencer. Welcome to the Camp! Can’t stay and chat, but my name’s Evelyn. Hi Kumiko! If you ever want someone to talk to when you’re bored, I’m pretty much here almost everyday.” She waved her hand, before looking at the clock and cursing under her breath. “Gotta run, bye!”

𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚢)) With a loud and vulgar curse, Malcom whirled around, eyes sparking with light as a bolt of lightning cracked past Josie and careened into the side of a nearby tree. When he had noticed it was her, he was able to guide the lightning away at the last second. Heart racing, his eyes faded back to normal as an embarrassed and stern look crossed his face. He had startled some nearby campers, but he didn’t care much to dwell on that. Rather, he moved his hands around wildly, exclaiming. “Jos, are you mad? I coulda’ blown your head off! Sheesh! What I look like, some kind of Haunted House rookie? Jump-scaring me like that, I outta-“ He paused, taking a second to release a long breath to calm himself. “Rats. Sorry about the lightning. It didn’t get ya, did it?” He asked with concern. Lloyd looked up from his book, eyes bright as he gave a friendly wave to Melody. He waved to invite her up onto the porch if she wanted to, answering with a small showing of the book cover. “It might sound a bit boring, but it’s a nature guide. I’m trying to memorize what plants are edible and which are not if anyone ever gets lost.” He admitted.

"And of course, you have to make sure to look out for me" a voice filtered into the conversation as Kassie sat herself down next to Kumiko. Setting her bandaged hand onto the table carefully, she set down a small plate of some strawberries and green grapes and smiled at both of the girls seated. "Sorry, I can't keep myself from having a bit of fun" Kassie admitted. "I'm Kassandra, Daughter of Hecate, but I mostly just go by Kassie." She reached out her hand to shake Spencer's, but paused when she noticed the bandaged hand was the one out. "Don't play with throwing knives unless you want some down-time," Kassie laughed. She turned to Kumiko and gave a sheepish smile. "Thanks for the fix up and sorry for taking off. Had some personal matters pop up rather fast."

"I won't ask about strategy or anything like that," Shadow said with a bit of a smile. "Besides you might tell me a false one especially if I'm not on your side." He reached behind his head with a hand and brushed down the back of his hair despite not really being out of place. Capture the Flag was a game that Shadow wasn't all to keen to play. He stuck to himself, hardly ever engaging in combat. The last game he watched a girl legit drop a tree on some campers before just turning around and walking away, declaring it wasn't his problem to deal with. Not like he had super strength.

I’m so sorry that happened to you. I can’t believe someone would do something like that! That’s such an awful thing for her to do. And you were a kid, there’s nothing at all to be embarrassed about.”Spencer reassured, feeling empathy for her and already forming a strong dislike for the Ares girl. “Wow what a jerk,”she muttered under her breath. (Should I bring Emilia in rn? 😆) Spencer looked up in surprise as Evelyn approached her, looking down at the pastry she set in front of her, the aroma reaching her nose. Her blue eyes brightened as she looked at Evelyn, warmed by the friendly offering and kind introduction. “Nice to meet you, Evelyn. This was really sweet of you, thank you,”she responded gratefully,”and I’ll take you up on that, see you around!”she called after her, waving a small goodbye as she watched the girl run off again. Jared grinned at her, pleased by the fact that she was thrilled. It always made it more fun when someone enjoyed the fight as much as him. He quickly moved to block her strikes, mentally noting how fast she was and trying to analyze her patterns. He stayed on the defensive looking for a small opening to strike. Christian watched Evelyn race by them to offer the new girl the treat in her hand. He followed Lyra’s gaze, seeing Kumiko sitting there next to Spencer. “Well that’s good for us, Kumiko wouldn’t be very suspicious of us,”he murmured quickly to Lyra, loud enough only for her to say. “And lord knows all the half-bloods are paranoid. We don’t need that,”he muttered under his breath.

She turned her head when Kassie sat down as well, giving her a smile as well, “That’s okay, Kassie. Things pop up all the time, don’t worry about it. I hope everything turned out okay.” Kumiko said, glad that the subject had been changed to something else other than her issues with Emilia, “Seems like we’re fairly popular today. I suppose being a new camper does turn a few heads though, that and your a child of the Big Three, so that’s bound to make people even more curious about you.”

Echo pushed off of the tree that she had been leaning against and gave him a small grin, “Well, you can’t blame me for being too careful. Although, I doubt Horus would stoop to such a level as to send a spy my way to see what I’ve been planning. He’s too proud to do something like that.” She said. Echo had worked with the son of Athena many times before, so she was confident that having a spy wasn’t something that he would do to get the upper hand. “But enough strategy talk, I think it’s time for me to get back to camp. My half-siblings might not cause too much trouble, but someone’s still gotta keep them in line. And I think it’s about time for lunch too. What about you? You gonna stay here or head back?”

Spencer blushed at that,”Oh. To be honest, I didn’t think anyone really noticed,”she said, clearing her throat. The Big Three. This made her wonder about the children of Poseidon and Hades, realizing she had yet to meet any of them. In fact, she wasn’t sure if there were any. The only ones she had really interacted with were her own cabin mates. “So what about Poseidon and Hades?…they have kids here?”she asked, only imagining how powerful those kids were.

Sasha suddenly moved her leg, aiming a sharp kick at the guards of Jared’s legs. While she knew he would be protected from the kick, she was aiming to put some distance between them. She snickered. “Ares kids never disappoint. None so far, at least.”
“Ugh, she’s being crowded like flies on a trash can.” Lyra mumbled as even more campers introduced themselves to Spencer. She glanced at Christian. “Think we should join in, and buzz around her next?” She offered, fixing her hair one more time.
Behind the twins, the Dining Pavilion doors opened, and Mathias pushed his way inside. The son of Ares looked around, his face ever so slightly scowled as he saw no signs of Nathanial. Walking through the large dining hall, he glanced at every table he passed in hopes of spotting him. He passed right by Kumiko, Spencer, and Kassandra as he focused intently on his search for his brother.

Kassie glanced around the Dining Hall, checking to see who else was around the area. "Well, yes. Hades and Poseidon are pretty prominent around here. Their demigod children have pretty wicked abilities, so be cautious when facing them. Most are pretty nice, like Nakita, daughter of Poseidon, is very friendly." Kassie hadn't interacted much with Nakita aside from passing pleasantries, but she had always heard good things. "One of Hades' kids, her name is Ava. She isn't the friendliest, but I don't think it's her fault. Most of the children of the Underworld keep to themselves, so don't take offense if they are a little standoffish" Kassie said with a bit of shrug.

“And we never will,”Jared grunted, moving swiftly out of the way of her kick, but lunged forward immediately moving to strike against her head on with his sword, swinging it from the side, preparing to give a flurry of strikes as she blocked them. He wanted to get her off her feet and on the ground.
Christian shook his head,”I don’t know. It doesn’t seem like she’ll be left alone anytime soon, and I don’t know about you but I’ve never really tried to talk to those two before. They might find it odd,”he grumbled, referring to Kumiko and Kassie.
Spencer nodded at Kassie, taking note about the other children of the Big Three mentioned, feeling a little relieved to know that they were mostly nice and like any normal half-blood, if the campers could even be called that. But at least they didnt sound full of themselves.”I’m not one to judge, this is the most I’ve talked to people in the few weeks I’ve been here,”she admitted, not bothered by the thought of Hades kids being quiet and reserved. She glanced up as she noticed a tall, broad-shouldered boy enter the pavilion, a scowl on his clearly handsome face as he walked around clearly searching for someone. “Who is that?”she asked more quietly to Kumiko and Kassie.

Nat was half-heartedly listening to the conversation her half-siblings were having and was more people watching. Ever the Hermes kid, she was quietly observing other people and tuned in to the different things happening in the pavilion. Her eyes flitted across the table were Kumiko and Kassie sat with the new girl, Spencer, who she had given a brief tour of the camp to a day after she had arrived. She noticed Mathias stalking in, a scowl on his face, clearly having not yet found Nathanial yet. But her gaze flitted over to Christian and Lyra, discreetly watching them with interest as she noticed them murmuring to each other and looking at the new girl. Normally she would chalk it up to just curiosity about a new camper, but if anyone there could recognize a look of plotting, it would be her or one of her siblings. And although not too noticeable, it seemed to be the look on their faces.

Kumiko looked up as Mathias stormed past before she answered Spencer’s question, “Ah, that would be another person I would advise you to steer clear of.” She said with a small, teasing smile. “And I’m not saying that because Mathias is mean or anything, he’s just a huge flirt and you are much too naive and innocent for the likes of him.” Kumiko giggled, knowing just what kind of effect the son of Ares had on people.
