Spencer followed Connor’s movements closely, analyzing the move. For a moment, she played it back in her head. Stomach. Head. Slash across the chest. Then she did it, striking the dummy with each move, not with a lot of power, considering that she definitely had to strengthen her arms, but swiftly and each in quick succession. She smiled a little, now somewhat having fun using the spear. “How was that?”she asked looking at him hopefully. Jared led the way with one glance back at Mathias and Nat. “Good, I could use a sparring partner…so what do you think about all these whispers about the monsters that attacked camp being let in?”he asked her, curious about what she may have heard. Nat blinked in surprise at Mathias’ comment, certainly not expecting that to be something on his mind or out of his mouth. “Um…no I haven’t talked to him a little bit,”she answered in a small nervous laugh. “But I think you may confused…I’m pretty sure he and Nakia have a thing…or at least they like each other,”she said, dismissing the idea with a small shake of her head. As much as she was playful and flirted for fun, she wasn’t one to really notice if someone was giving her that kind of attention. Christian chuckled,”well, maybe we don’t need to hunt her down. We can walk around and maybe we’ll see her out and about. I’m sure the training grounds is a good bet though too,”he told his sister, motioning with a nod towards the general direction, so they could go take a walk. “I’m not sure why they’re whispers, when it’s obvious they were let in. Someone in this Camp is guilty, or someone outside found a breach.” Sasha responded bluntly, her smirks now turned down into a dark scowl as she scoffed. “Cowards. Couldn’t do the work themselves, so they try and break us down with the very thing this Camp protects us from. I’ve been keeping my eye out for anything strange but… ah. No luck.” Mathias gave a single snort of laughter, before he punched the target once more. “Nakita? And Hunter? Never thought about those two together. Though, I guess I’m not one to judge. My preferences are no preferences.” He admitted, though he did glance down, still stung by how much he regretted how badly his talk with Echo went. Admittedly, his preference above all others was her. But… surely she deserved better than someone like him, right? Lyra rolled her eyes, cursing her brother’s laid back yet effective methods. She opened her mouth to respond, only to notice Levin walking towards them. She put on her smile, greeting their “brother” with excitement. “Oh, the sword looks amazing, Lenny! Phoenix fix it for you?” |

Jared shook his head. “I feel like nothing has really been done to find who is responsible. The camp has just gone back to its regular activities. This can’t be okay,”he muttered gruffly, shaking his head. “And I’m starting to get suspicious of any person in camp. You know that some people just disappeared when they attacked? At least that’s what I’ve heard,”he told Sasha, glancing at the ground and kicking the dirt as he walked. For him, betrayal of this sorts was huge and unforgivable.

“I mean…they’re best friends. I’m pretty sure everyone expects that the two of them will get together…and I don’t necessarily know if I’m the kind of person someone wants to be with. I can be a bit hard to deal with,”Nat spoke honestly, shrugging. She may have been a generally like-able and fun person but she also knew that she was head strong, passionate, and had an iron will, and some people could find that disagreeable. She also wasn’t afraid to get her hands dirty if it came down to it, while others had…more of a conscience.
Nat watched him deal the final blow, watching the target burst apart with a flurry of wood. Moving closer to him, she scoffed. “No preferences, huh? That’s not what I’ve seen,”she said pointedly referring to Echo, looking him in the eyes briefly before turning her attention to his hands, taking one of his larger hands in her smaller one and picking at the splinters stabbing into his fingers and knuckles. “Does this not hurt you at all?”she asked, arching a smooth eyebrow at him as she inspected his rough hands.

Christian looked up too as Levin approached, his face immediately changing to that of interest as he pulled Lyra along to follow the other boy, wanting to talk about his visit with Phoenix. “You went to see her. What happened?”he asked quietly, eyes boring into the other boy with deep interest. He took a quick glance around to make sure no one was lurking and listening.

“When Lilith attacked Kyo, we all thought she was the only one who could have caused it. She never came back, but I still think it wasn’t just her.” Sasha admitted with a gruff nod of agreement to Jared. She crossed her arms, glancing back as she eyed Mathias. “He wasn’t supposed to be leading the last game. Apparently, it was put on him last second when Nathanial didn’t show up. Mathias was fuming about it. Didn’t want to lead the side of Ares when he wasn’t the counselor of the Cabin. Yet… Nathanial’s never done anything suspicious. I can’t see him doing something like this.” She sighed.

Mathias didn’t fight the young woman, instead keeping his arms relaxed as he allowed Nat to pull out the splinters. He shook his head, a humorless laugh escaping him. “That obvious, huh? Guess it’s kind of cliche, son of Ares a mess for a daughter of Aphrodite. But, I mean, it’s Echo. Who isn’t crazy about her, you know?” He blinked, scoffing at how corny he must have sounded. He eyed Nat, genuine as he answered. “I don’t feel things like splinters much anymore. At least, that level of pain is nothing to me. I can take alot worse than wood or glass in my skin.” He assured.
Giving a small smirk, he flirted casually. “I can feel your hands though. I’m not complaining one bit about those, Nat.”

Levin glanced around before he slipped past them and into the Cabin. Patting some of the nearby chairs, he invited them to sit as he swung his feet up onto the coffee table and relaxed with a catty grin. “Of course I talked to her. But I left something behind. And it’s assured me what I told you all from the start. No doubting, Phoenix has both Hephaestus and Hectate in her blood. She’s a ticking time-bomb of power, and we can use it to our advantage.”

However, he bristled at the mention of Nathaniel. “Nathaniel is a son of Ares. And the cabin counselor. And my brother. Loyalty means a lot to us. He would never be involved in such a betrayal,”he spoke confidently in agreement,”and if anyone has something to say about it, they’re messing with the wrong people,”he muttered. “Where were you when everything happened?”he asked Sasha.

Nat gave a small chuckle at his admission, continuing to remove the tiny shards of wood from his hand carefully,”Might be cliche to anyone who didn’t know Echo. She’s definitely not just any daughter of Aphrodite. And don’t worry, it’s not that obvious, I think. I’m just very observant. You know, daughter of Hermes and all that, being sly and sneaky. Also, Echo and I are friends,”she added, looking back up at him. Her smile widened a little at Mathias’ casual flirting, brushing her thumb lightly over his knuckles and giving his hand a small squeeze before moving on to the next hand,”I mean, you can hold my dainty little hands any time. I know you boys like feeling big and strong,”she responded smoothly, a playful sparkle appearing in her light brown eyes. She continued removing the rest of the debris from his hand, and after another quick inspection, finished her work, but not without a small squeeze of his strong forearm, which she was admiring the veins on. XD (shameless, I swear)

Christian eyes widened, looking between Lyra and Levin again. “No way. So she really carries both of their blood.”he breathed, in awe. It was definitely a rare thing to happen. “Well…this should be reported back to Nathaniel,”he stated,”we should start planning how we can use this.”

Practice that movement for a day or two and you’ll start feeling more comfortable with it.” He said. Kumiko clapped her hands and hurried over to Spencer’s side, “Hey, you’re getting the hang of that pretty quick!” She said, giving her a friendly smile. “I think we’ve found your match!” |

I was fighting monsters, after my team won, and our victory was ruined by an invasion. Was he not feeling well?” —- Mathias watched her work with his hands, enjoying the shameless banter between them. He always liked Nat, her fire and her confidence. Beyond that, she was just a naturally comforting companion, whether it be a friend or someone to feel strongly for. Even so, he could only lift a brow and smirk as he felt her feel up his arm. “Find something you like, Nat? Not that I’m complaining, I worked hard for these.” He humored, not at all bothered by her touch. Flattered by the attention, more so. —- “I’ll tell you what we can do. She’s clearly not even aware of what she’s capable of. Zero training for that kind of combination. You said she couldn’t control her fire when you led the monsters to Camp.” Levin led, eyeing Christian and Lyra knowingly. “It wasn’t Hephaestus’ fire, was it? It was Hectate’s magic.” Lyra realized, eyed sparking with realization. “She has no control over it, and she’s been stressing about it for weeks.” “Soooo.” Levin sang. “Don’t you think she’ll be desperate for someone who can help her learn? Help her become her best self? And who will she be indebted to? The ones who can show her just how much she can do.” He smiled, looking at Christian. “And Nathanial knows I’m a child of Hectate. I’ll be happy to help her, once the time comes.” |

Melody laid at the beach on her towel, her hands resting on her stomach as she relaxed. She had a shift at the infirmary later and was trying to to get in some relaxation time where she could. Not that there were a ton of injured kids at the moment, but around camp, that could easily change. Feeling like she was about to doze off, the dark haired girl groaned and sat up, running her fingers through hair before trying to fix her bangs. Melody took her sunglasses off and squinted as she stared up at the sky, the clouds moving slowly and lazily. It was really nice out, the suns rays warming her skin as she wore a bright orange swim top and jean shorts. Maybe if she got too warm she'd take a quick swim in the water.

Lewis swung lazily in his hammock that was tied between two trees just by the lake. He had an open book on his face, War and Peace was the title. Why he was reading was a mystery to anyone, even to himself. If anyone asked he would tell them it was a great bedtime story because it put him right to sleep. Which was exactly what he was doing now, dozing off and not caring about any responsibilities he had for the day. One of them being cleaning the horse stables, but who was really keeping track of all that? Lewis snored softly, his left twitching every now and again.

Claude cursed under his breath as he scooped up some old hay and dumped it into a wheel barrel. He stood up and used the bottom of his shirt to wipe the sweat off of his face, looking around and glaring at nothing. Lewis was supposed to be helping him clean up the stables, but the Hypnos kid was shirking off his chores once again. Some kind of revenge was in order and it absolutely would be in the form of a prank. He was already starting to come up with ideas as he scooped some more hay up, planning to lay down fresh new bedding for the horses once he was done.

Juniper hummed as she sat on the steps of the Aphrodite cabin, leaned over and flexing her foot as she painted her toe nails in some kind of pink shimmery nail polish. There was a song stuck in her head but she couldn't quite remember what it was called, so that was bothering her. Still, she continued to softly sing the chorus under her breath, the words basically gibberish as she couldn't remember the exact lyrics. Every now and again she'd look up to see if anyone of interest happened to pass by. She was bored and was looking for some kind of entertainment, though gods forbid she seek it out herself.
(i also have Josie, Jimmy, and Francis open! and at some point, Jade, if you want Josie and Spencer to interact id love that!! since they're siblings :3c)

She glanced back at Kumiko with a grin,”I was starting to feel like there was no hope for me,”she joked lightly, brushing back her red locks out of her face.

Jared put his hands up in defense,”woah wait, I wasn’t accusing you, I swear. I was just wondering,”he reassured. Jared tensed at her question,”I’m not sure really. But he’s been cleared, he was vouched for by a couple people,”he told Sasha as they neared the edge of the training grounds. He looked out over all the campers training, it really settling in that any one of them could be traitors. Or completely innocent. Everything felt pretty twisted with no real answers around.

You have great arms,”she admitted openly, bold as ever. “And I was just thinking about all the different things those hands and arms can do,”she chimed humorously, passing him a wink and starting to grab her things. Nat loved a good banter and was glad that she could have an ease such as this with Mathias. She really tried to restrain her natural inclination to charm and flirt, because it would be all fun and games until someone thought she was actually in love with them. But at least with him, she knew that it could be exactly what it was. Just fun. And she also knew that she son of Ares, as gruff and intimidating as he seemed, was a loyal and reliable person.

Sure, I’d love that  ) I’m gunna only throw Tatum out there for now since I’m already rping a bunch of ppl if that’s okay. You can pick who you’d like her to interact with ) Tatum was taking a walked one of her headphones in while she listened to some music. She wore a white summer dress and a pair of sneakers, wanting to be put together as always. The daughter of Aphrodite had her hair up in a pony tail and it swished back and forth as she walked at a brisk pace. This was her favorite form of exercise and should could be found doing this frequently. |

Spencer watched Connor leave, intrigued by his neutral demeanor, and looked back at Kumiko, a little baffled by her being completely unfazed by him. “I think a break would be nice. I’m getting kinda hungry to be honest,”Spencer admitted, moving to go set the spear back on the rack. “How do I go about getting one of my own of those?”she asked the other girl.

He watched her move, but did not encroach on her space. It was more of his style to look and not touch unless it was explicitly asked. Ares kids got enough flack and generalizations, they didn’t need any more. “Really though. Thanks for the company. It’s been… something, these last few days. All this emotional crap, not really my strong suit. Hasn’t been for a very long time. I hoped to leave that all back in Egypt, but. I guess it follows you.” He admitted, before he steeled his personal thoughts back away and returned to his gruff and snarky exterior. “Come by for some sparring sometime. Promise I won’t bite. Unless you want me to.” —- “Oh, no no. Do that. Definitely try and do that. Zues kids? Hit those like a carnival game, you can never have too few Zues kids on your side.” Levin perked up a bit, grinning at the twins. “I’ll talk to Nathanial. We’re meeting soon anyway.” “Just keep up the Iris image.” Lyra sighed, crossing her arms and cocking her hip. “You’re lucky that light tricks and illusions aren’t all that different from your actual magic. We’ll sweeten up Spencer.” She looked at Christian. |

Jared reached for a long sword. Normally he was a daggers kind of guy, but he often chose to practice with different weapons. “I haven’t wielded one of these in a little bit. What about you?”Jared nodded towards the array of weapons on the weapon rack.

Nat picked up her bow and quiver, swinging it over her shoulder and across so the strap was across her chest and the quiver resting against her back. “I don’t threaten, I just make promises,”she gave him one more with an inviting smile up at him, pulling her loose curls into a high pony tail. “And anytime. I’m ready for things to get back to normal, except I know that that’s very unlikely.”she murmured. The nagging feeling of wariness still hadn’t left her since the incidence, and it was indeed nice to think about something else for a bit. “I’ll take you up on that. The biting too,”she added with a little smirk. “Where are you off to now anyway?”she asked curiously, remembering that he had just appeared when her, Jared, and Sasha were competing.

Christian clapped a hand against Levin’s back. “Great job. Let us know how that meeting goes then with the big man,”he told him,”and we’ll work on Spencer.” He looked to his sister, “well, do you want to start that now. Or do you have any other plans right now?”he asked, crossing his arms and leaning against the bedpost.

“Then let’s make our way to the Dining Pavilion. It’s almost time for lunch anyways.” Kumiko said, putting away the rest of the training stuff. Once she was finished, Kumiko led the way out of the training grounds. “Well, once you feel a bit more comfortable with it, we can go to the Armory next and see if there’s one there that you can claim as your own. Or, If there isn’t one that you don’t like there, you can always put a special order in with the Hephaestus cabin. They’re always willing to take on new projects. For a price.” She explained.

Nathaniel had found a secret spot of his own not too deep in the forest, and was enjoying the quiet that it offered. He had just gotten done sending his latest message to some of his followers and was now leaning against one of the tree and enjoying the shade. Nathaniel’s plans were slowly starting to come together, one by one. Now they just needed to get their hands on one of the children of the Big Three gods in order for all of those plans to work.

Becauuuse, I’m essentially broke,”she said with a small chuckle.There was still so much she had yet to see in camp. She definitely hadn’t visited the armory yet, and was curious as to how the kids of Hephaestus made the weapons. ”They’ll mostly ask for something for trade in return.” Kumiko said with a small shrug. “If you’re good friends with one of them, they’ll probably do it for free if they’re in a particularly good mood. We’ll check the Armory after we eat, I’m sure we’ll find one in there that will last you until you can get one specially made.” |

Spencer nodded, although she didn’t have anything valuable to trade. Maybe she could offer a favor. “Are you friends with any of them?”she asked Kumiko,”and okay, sounds good,”she agreed about checking out the Armory after, looking up as they walked up the steps to the dining pavilion.

(okay!! <3) Juniper looked up once again after finishing putting on a top coat over her nail polish, and immediately spotted Tatum walking by briskly. A bright grin shone on her face and she stood up, going down the steps of the cabin but stopped short of actually stepping on to the ground. “Tatum!” She called to her, hoping she’d hear her over the music. Assuming she wouldn’t, Juniper looked down at her freshly painted pedicure and groaned, finally stepping down to the ground and waving her hands to get her half-sister’s attention. “Tatum, hey!” Tatum heard the sound of a voice called, and pulled an earbud out of her ear, turning her attention to the voice. “Juniper, hey.”she greeted when she saw her half-sister waving at her from a distance, she started making her way over. |
