Goldenwing ~
Settling down a little more comfortable next to the Deputy, the golden tabby took a moment to groom herself further, trying to flatten down a piece of fur sticking up on her flank, but once she had sorted it out, the she-cat settled down again. For a moment her eyes gazed across the camp, taking in the early morning sights before Stormgaze spoke up again from his position beside her. "I know the feeling," she purred, throwing her gaze towards the fresh-kill pile, "I've already been out huntin once this morning." And no doubt she would go out again before sunhigh.
Deciding that she was done with her personal grooming, Goldenwing yawned slightly, moving to lay down, paws neatly out in front of her and tail curled around the side of her frame. No doubt she would pick up pieces of dirt when she stood up, but she supposed she didn't mind. It was often completely possible to be clean for very long when living in the middle of brambles.
"A fox is never good news," she agreed with a small twitch of her whiskers, "It is a good idea to make sure it's still not stalking about the place. I will happily join you for that." While she did hope they wouldn't end up running into the foul beast, it would still be good just to put minds at ease and make sure the territory was safe for everyone. Especially the apprentices, she knew how some of them could be and they would be no match for a fox.

Sablepaw.within the camp. open. Light struck her right in the eyes. She had been sleeping awkwardly, but even so, a low rumble escaped her chest as she cracked open one dark brown eye, tail lashing violently. It had struck someone, but she paid little attention to it. Instead, her gaze slowly slid down to her paws, claws stuck in the moss. She shook one foot irritably, pulling herself into a sitting position. Her back ached. Everything ached, now that she started to come back to life. The young molly let out a wide yawn, fangs bared and ears half-flattened. A heartbeat passed, and then another. Eventually, the aches subsided and she rose to her paws, shaking her plush fur free of her nest as she put one in front of the other, and remembered how to get through the day.
A brief glance was given to Robinpaw, whom she suspected she had smacked with her tail when the sun had woken her up. Sablepaw considered stopping to apologise, but the moment passed as she pushed out of the den and inhaled deeply. The brambles snagged her fur, but it was something she was growing used to. Sometimes, she missed the soft moss and feathers on the inside of the Nursery - but this was price of becoming an apprentice. A move from comfort into reality. The dark molly trotted out into the fresh air and took a long, deep breath.
This was the life. It was what she was meant to do. What she was born to do. Sablepaw's sharp gaze caught sight of her mentor captured in conversation with the deputy. I won't disturb them, she thought, sitting down outside the apprentice den and pulling the moss from between her claws, spitting it out to the side, nose wrinkling with distaste. As a restless sleeper and cat of frequent nightmares, Sablepaw often found herself in a state in the mornings. Her fur, double-coated, could protect her from any sort of weather. It did not protect her from herself, nor the moss in her bed. Fur tangled with her bedding, making for a tough morning clean-up. Her least favourite part of this whole thing, but then again, everyone had something to complain about.
Dapplemoon. the ivy clearing. open.
One paw in front of the other. Slow breaths. The scent of a mouse flooded her senses and she was quick to hone into its location, but the scent of chicken almost overwhelmed it. She could hear them to her left, picking at worms in the ground, if she knew them at all. Dapplemon would've preferred that they found their meals elsewhere. She could see their vague silhouettes if she glanced to the side, but her sight wasn't good enough to pinpoint where they were in relation to the mouse. Said mouse seemed to be on the move; her keen hearing picked up on its movement through the ivy. Quietly, she followed it, mindful of where the chickens were muttering to each-other. She wished she understood them. But, as her mother had once told her; there was no point in wishing for what she didn't have. Leave that to others. Focus on your own talents. Of which hunting didn't seem to be, today. Dapplemoon was a fine hunter in most circumstances, but the quickly-changing position of the sun made it harder for her to distinguish what was where, made it harder for her to pick out the mouse's shadow from the chickens' and her own. She twitched her whiskers as they brushed something, and darted to the side as an angry beak came towards her. Of course. Of course, she'd strayed too close to them. She hadn't been paying nearly enough attention to their locations, hadn't been listening as they moved in. Huddled close to the ground, Dapplemoon felt the chicken move away from her and watched its shadow dart towards the undergrowth. A worm, maybe? But as it held its head up, triumphant, she realised that it had picked up the mouse that she'd been hunting. It had been injured, she realised. Dying. And yet, she hadn't caught it.
With a grumble of discontent, Dapplemoon lifted herself up and trotted away, tail held high in the air. A failed hunting attempt, but she wasn't entirely empty-pawed. Not too far away, she'd buried a thrush. Yes, it had been an entirely lucky catch - the flutter of wings had alerted her, and she'd thrown herself up in the hopes that she could catch it. So far, however, it had been her only victory. The rest had been near-misses, or stolen by those chickens. Her mouth watered at the possibility of catching one of those, but she didn't want to upset any two-legs, nor did she want to get injured by those sharp beaks. She knew the danger of chickens, as evidenced by the short scar on her flank. That didn't mean the molly wasn't tempted to steal one away for VineClan, but she resisted. For now. As she felt the sun warm her pelt up, she decided to lay on her side and bask for a while, aware that if she didn't get in their way, the flock wouldn't bother her. She rested her cheek against the warm grass and sighed slowly. Today was a day.
Remi. his enclosure. open.
Restlessness fueled him, a chaotic energy sparking his quick and powerful movements. He ran up the log his humans had set out for him, batted at the toys and rolled in the grass, low chirps escaping his mouth. When a pair of magpies sat at the top of his enclosure, he chattered up at them and stood on his hind legs, reaching up with long legs. He wished birds could enter his home. The dead prey his humans offered him was fine, but it didn't satisfy him in the way that the mice and rats did when they managed to find themselves trapped in his large enclosure. He sighed and paced back and forth, glancing to the sturdy wires that criss-crossed and promised him that he couldn't escape, even if he tried. He'd climbed it a few times, but it had been futile; the top was just as closed off as the sides. He'd tried digging, too, but stones littered the bottom of the fencing and stopped his attempts.
Freedom was so close, and yet so far.
Remi sighed and paced to the edge of his enclosure, pressing his entire body against the wires. It was good for scratching any hard-to-reach spots, but he liked to mark it with his scent when he could. He knew that wild cats often passed by, and he wanted them to know that a wild cat already lived here. A wild cat, but not like them, he always found himself thinking. Wild in name alone. When it came down to it, he still enjoyed resting on his human's lap, enjoyed the treats and toys they gave him. If he found the opportunity, would he follow another wild cat into the wilderness? He wasn't sure. Out of boredom, he stuck both his legs through the small holes of the wire and pulled up some grass. There were strange muddy spots all up and down the outside of his enclosure where he'd spent time doing this.
The scent of his human, the whistle, and then a thud - he'd been given another hunk of prey to pick apart at his leisure. Remi pushed himself up and trotted over to the back door, where his human had left a pheasant. Feathers and all. A purr rumbled to life and he picked it up by the neck, trotting back over to the edge of his enclosure in long strides. His height ensured that only the tail-feathers of the pheasant trailed, and even then, barely. He dropped it by the edge of the wire and crouched to eat, ears perked forward and hopeful for a stranger to come along and speak to him. He wanted to hear stories, as many passer-bys managed to offer him.

Robinpaw ~
The young tom had closed his eyes again, but slowly cracked them open when he heard movement in the nest next to him, silently watching as Sablepaw rose to her paws. All without apologizing for whacking him in the nose with her tail. Even if it was an accident it would be nice to get an apology. But he supposed he didn't really mind about it in the end, it was about time he was woken up anyway. If it hadn't been because of her, no doubt it would have just been someone else with a patrol for him to go on or a hunting party or some other duty. Like tick duty. Anything but that.
Lifting his head off his paws, he watched the younger apprentice push herself out of the den, so Robinpaw decided that he had enough of snoozing and slowly stood himself up as well. It only took him a moment to shake himself free of any moss, lifting his head as he trotted after the she-cat, poking his head out of the entrance and blinking in the sudden change of light. It seemed as though it was going to be a nice day out, up above them only a few fluffy clouds lazily drifting through the sky.
"Morning," he greeted Sablepaw cheerily as he pully pushed himself out from the den, arching his back into a stretch before he settled himself down next to the other apprentice. Though his amber gaze was on the rest of the camp, watching as Goldenwing was in the middle of a conversation with Stormgaze. Though his attention was diverted again rather quickly, turning his head back to Sablepaw. "Going to apologize for whacking me in the nose then?" He meowed playfully batting the she-cat with a sheathed paw.

Sparrowpaw tom . 8 moons . medicine cat apprentice. Sparrowpaw is a very pretty tom, with brown, grey, and black ticked fur; brownish-red tint around his eyes, ears, lower cheeks, chest, belly, paws, and inside his legs, whereas the layer above is a very dark brown, with black and white ticking on top of that. His tail is long and feathery, and feathered fur surrounds his cheeks and behind his ears, too. The backs of his hind legs are a sooty black, while the backs of his forepaws are the same gingery-brown that tints specific parts of his fur. Grey eyes watch the world cooly, with surprisingly long eyelashes, when it comes to cats. The tips of his canines often poke out of his mouth, as they're a little bigger than they should be for him. This tom is slightly smaller than average, with a very lithe build. Though his fur coats him well, touching him will reveal that he's a very skinny little cat, who spends most of his time worrying his weight away. It's not that he's anxious, as such, but he does tend to worry deeply over others, and he's an incredibly hard-worker. His determination to be a good medicine cat is often balanced with his fear that he won't be good enough. He's very observant and tends to notice minute details, which also lends a good hand to the way he does things and the way he learns. Sparrowpaw is curious and tends to thirst for knowledge; if someone can't tell him something, he'll try to find out for himself. The inner-workings of the world interest him - the logic behind StarClan and their herbs, the history behind them, and even the way VineClan works. Everything is something to learn about, even if he fears that the wrong knowledge could cut his medicine cat career short. In the end, his fears can overshadow him to the point that he struggles - but Sparrowpaw is determined to prove himself, determined to be the very best that he can be. He's very polite and respectful to those older than him, but can come off as snappy and something of a know-it-all to those his age and younger. This young tom can be a tough shell to crack, but he's surprisingly warm-hearted once one gets to know him. It's the getting to know him part that can be a struggle.
existing relationships and family: he's open to familial relationships. i wouldn't mind if he was the younger sibling/son/etc of someone.

Sablepaw. within the camp. with Robinpaw.
Her ear flicked to acknowledge Robinpaw's approach as she spat out the last of the moss. She gave herself a quick but firm groom, lifting one leg in the air to check her belly. Everything seemed to be in one piece, and everything seemed to be normal. Already, she'd forgotten the nightmare that had caused today's restlessness, and she shifted her attention to the older apprentice, head angling to the side as she processed his words.
"Morning," she mewed, her voice still sleep-thick. It often took her a good few moments to wake up when the sun rose. It was better, at least, that she'd woken herself up and hadn't waited for Goldenwing to come retrieved her. She didn't like being woken up. She'd learned it quickly in the Nursery - she was snappy at best and cruel at worst. As long as she woke herself up, everything was fine. "Nope."
The young molly reached out with one paw and patted Robinpaw's shoulder lightly. Then, she let herself fall onto her belly and stretched her legs out leisurely, back legs splayed similarly to how she'd seen a frog positioned. Her claws stretched outwards and she rested her chin on the ground, pleased at the comfort of this. If there had been more space in the apprentice den, she might've considered sleeping like this.
"You needed waking," she told him wisely, whiskers twitching, "so, really, I've helped you out a great deal. You should be thanking me."

Stormgaze.
He nodded appreciatively of her response, glad to know at least one hunting patrol had been completed that morning - no doubt part of the reason the pile wasn't as pitiful as it usually would have been at this time of the day. However, he was somewhat distracted as he spotted the pair of apprentices depart their den, but for now he didn't move to give them their morning's orders. No doubt their mentors would have plans for them, and if not it wouldn't take long for him to come up with something for them. He considered the pair briefly, but was prompt in turning his gaze back to his companion.
"Anything of interest on your hunt?" He added, lowering to his belly beside her as they spoke, his tail drifting left and right as he watched camp begin to spark to life once more.
He grinned meekly at her follow up comment, fox scent no matter how stale was never a good thing, his glance aimed for the nursery that time. Knowing camp would have new kittens any day now, and he would rather the territory be entirely free of any threat before they were born. Stormgaze was a protective tom by nature, even to those he had no connection too. Kittens; especially unborn or soon to be newborn were at the forefront of that category.
"Thanks, I'll be sure to hold you to that," he responded. More than willing to throw himself into battle, but knowing right not it was important to strategise and consider the best means of pinpointing the threatening beast. "Hopefully it'll be long gone, but its still worth checking." Goldenwing, ᏼꮖꭱꭰꭱꮖ🇳ꮐ .

(probably my last reply before bed it's getting late here. Whicket Blaze, I'll add that to the page as well.)
Robinpaw ~
He watched the younger apprentice settled down on the ground and Robinpaw was quick to follow suit, somewhat flopping down on his side in one fluid motion, part of his belly on show as he stretched all his legs out to try and get comfortable. The tom didn't know how long they would be able to get away with just sitting here lazing about before they were told to get on and do something. But Robinpaw hoped that it was at least for a little bit, give them enough chance to soak up some of the fun and shake the sleep from their bones.
"Well that's rude," the chocolate brown tom huffed, though he wasn't being completely serious about that, not really caring that she wasn't going to apologize. But he still wasn't comfortable lying there, rolling onto his back and wiggling down on the dirt, cocking his head to look at Sablepaw.
From his position, he batted a paw at the younger she-cat again, a playful look in his eye, "Is that what you think, huh?" Not as far as he saw things, he was pretty sure he could have gotten away a little bit more sleep if she had not woken him up by accident with her tail. "Maybe I got in from a really late evening patrol," he hadn't, but that was beside the point, "I could have been really tired and you ruined my chance to get a lie-in. Don't you feel bad for me?"
Goldenwing ~
Catching a couple of mice was not nearly a much work as a whole patrol could accomplish, but it was better than nothing at all, she reasoned. Every little bit of prey to feed the Clan would be welcomed and she was sure neither Stormgaze or Kestrelstar would complain about some extra prey. And with the continued warm weather and plentiful prey running (or flying) about the place, she was sure they weren't going to be struggling. The only thing cats would have to complain about would be the heat beating down on their pelts.
"Nothing much of note," she meowed simply, only briefly turning her eyes to the dark-furred tom sitting next to her, "I didn't go very far from camp, only to the edge of the marsh." Though she hadn't gone deep as she hadn't wanted to get her paws all muddy that early in the morning. And besides, the mice had been pretty easy to find so she didn't have to go very far.
A purr of amusement slipped from his jaw at his next words, just tilting her head into a slight nod, "Yes, I am sure you will, Stormgaze." But if she hadn't wanted to go and check for the fox then she wouldn't have offered her services. So really she didn't mind the task. "But you are right, we can't just ignore something like this if it means cats could be put in danger." The safety of the Clan was paramount and a fox was sure to do at least some damage if it got too close to camp.

Sablepaw. within the camp. with Robinpaw.
Sablepaw felt the older tom wriggling beside her, as a fly buzzed somewhere around her ear. She twitched it to flick it away before turning her head to focus her gaze on Robinpaw, watching his movements quietly. Her whiskers twitched, forelegs stretching out further, and she tilted her head to the side to glance him up and down.
"I feel literally no sympathy for you," she stated, pulling herself forward by her claws. Her back end dragged across the ground, with no effort put behind her hindquarters.
Once she was just out of Robinpaw's reach, she rolled over so that she could face him, fur now dusted lightly with dried mud. The thick fur wouldn't be penetrated by it - so it was an easy clean once she got up. For now, she stayed laying, slowly tucking her paws underneath her body so that no part of her was exposed. Soon enough, all her limbs were hidden and she was nothing more than a blob of dark fur, round eyes peering at the other apprentice with owl-like sharpness.
"Zero sympathy. Perhaps if I had heard you enter during the night..." she trailed off, a quick purr interrupting her mew, "but alas. I did not, and so you have this fate to suffer. The fate of being awake."

⌑ Goosepaw ⌑ It was a rather strange dream, although it didn't feel so as it happened. He was sitting with many of his clanmates; he noticed his sister, his mentor, Kestralstar, among others, even some cats he didn't recognize. Even cranky Blindhare had come to join the feast. Rather than eating their own prey, all of them were sharing a bird the size of a bear. It lay dead between all of them, so tall that Goosepaw couldn't see who sat on the other side. He ate and ate, but his hunger was never satiated. The dream was a strange blur. At some point he looked up and realized that his clanmates were laughing. Rainpaw was cackled at something, her head thrown back as if the funniest thing had just happened. He was confused--he didn't know why everyone was so amused. They laughed maniacally like cats possessed. Eventually he got up and began backing away, until suddenly he realized that the bird they were eating was a giant goose. He opened his mouth to scream and then--
He sat up, breathing heavily. Sunlight streamed in from the entrance of the den, and he heard the soft morning conversations of the other apprentices. His mentor, Cloudweaver, was sitting over him nonchalantly. Goosepaw sighed with relief as he realized he had been dreaming.
"Thank Starclan," he said under his breath, collapsing back into his nest. He sensed the question on Cloudweaver's face without having to look at it. "Weird dream," he explained. He closed his eyes for a split second as if he were considering going back to sleep. His side rose and fell twice in complete relaxation and bliss. And then he sat up, pulling his fluffy pelt out of the comfort of his nest. "I'm up, I'm up," he groaned. He knew he had training to do and prey to catch. The elders and kits couldn't feed themselves. Besides, he was ten moons old now, close to becoming a warrior. He had a responsibility to learn as much as he could while he still had the privilege of a guide and teacher: Cloudweaver. He looked up at the older tom, blue eyes grateful even though he had just been woken up. He admired his mentor. He wanted to be just like him.
"What are we going to do today?" asked the apprentice.

These are all a WIP I am currently at work and my break just ended. Littlerain Female . 42 Moons . Warrior She is a dark stormy grey she cat with a silver shimmer, her fur is short an soft. She is quite lanky, with long limbs, tail and rounded features; including her eyes and face. She is of average size with dainty paws, she has wide short ears with extremely long whiskers. Snow white fur covers her toes, chest and a blaze marking on her nose; plus her belly. She has a little black nose, the unique thing about her is that one eye is a sky blue and one eye is amber. She is crazy passionate, with a fiery soul, and incredible patience. She has a habit of being passive aggressive and sarcastic when someone doesn't listen to her or take her seriously. She is used to other looking at her strangely because of her eyes, but she doesn't pay mind to any bullying. She is a very straight forward, humble she cat, who is open minded and insightful. Being kind to everyone, as well as being confident in herself and in others, providing support for everyone. She can be very optimistic, bubbly and enthusiastic, unless you catch her when she is grumpy. Which is usually only when she is exhausted or angry. existing relationships and family: mini plot: if this is a character for one of the mini plot spots, list it here (eg: Warrior 3) image: Honeybee Female . 26 Moons . Warrior She gets her name from her short honey-brown tabby fur with vibrant bark brown and reddish brown stripes; her eyes are a soft hazel color. She's got small, pointed ears and a splotch of black on her otherwise pink nose. Her tail is very long and thin due to her short fur, Everything about Honeybee is either average or small - although she has a longer body, and a longer tail. She is a enthusiastic, and energetic molly but is best known for her quick thinking, patience and strategy. Honeybee lives in the moment, giving her a clear head but she is quite daring and willing to give have a little fun, she isn't always serious as she was once too wild at heart. She has become more shut off in the recent moons, as she doesn't want to burden anyone with her problems and has a fear of letting her clan down; which often results in her doubting herself at time. But she tries to not let her insecurities get the best of her. existing relationships and family: mini plot: if this is a character for one of the mini plot spots, list it here (eg: Warrior 3) image: Goldenbear Male . 64 Moons . Senior warrior This somewhat large and fluffy tom, is a classic brown tabby; except his base coat is a pale brown/ginger with vivid dark brown almost black stripes. His base coat along his paws, legs, haunches and tail are all a darker greyish brown. The bottom half of his muzzle is white which then leads down to a patch of white; hidden in the tiny maine that he has. A bright ginger spot rest just above his nose, which sometimes make his golden yellow eyes look amber from time to time. His ears are wide and round great for hunting, and his tail fluffs out at the end. Goldenbear is a dependable warrior, he is quite the sophisticated tom cat; being well mannered and respectful are what he is known for. Although he is a reserved tom, and a go with the flow type of cat; which he can sometimes be aloof and worry free. Aside from his rather reserved nature, he is really just a warm ball of fur. He is a gentle and caring tom, but brave and courageous when he needs to be. He isn't one to socialize too much, he is more of an observer; but he isn't shy to it. He is always calm giving off peaceful vibes that seem to comfort people with only a gaze. Who is sensitive and thoughtful. He is has an open mind so others usually come to him for advice, as he gotten quite wise from experience. He is a lean and athletic tom, who has wide and short ears. Long whiskers, and his eyes are a pale gold. He is a rather careful and clever tom, always being quick-witted and quick-footed of his surroundings. he truly cares for everyone in his clan and tries to be as selfless as possible, he has a calm temperament; and is quite diligent and meticulous with his duties. he is optimistic and supportive of his loved ones choices, he is unforgiving and holds grudges; he is over protective at times and can get quite jealous which then also makes him insecure. existing relationships and family: mini plot: if this is a character for one of the mini plot spots, list it here (eg: Warrior 3) image: Silverpaw (Silverstorm) Male . 8 moons . Apprentice You could say he is usually large, larger than most apprentices. His fur is that of silver storm clouds, meaning he is really fluffy. Hence his large lion's like mane and feathery tail, his chest and tail are the only two places it grows quite long. He has long, thick strong muscles, plus his features are also quite large; including his muzzle and paws. Which are usually large, and fur tufts stick out of the bottom. He has lynx like ears tips that stick out an inch, which are small and wide; his eyes are a pale blue. He isn't an overly confident tom, he doubts himself on the regular. He is a hesitant tom who doesn't take very many risks, who believes heavily in doing the right thing; even if it hurts others. He is a good-hearted tom who is sweet and can sometimes be shy and timid, getting nervous quite easily. (Hey Bun, we're happy to have you! And I hope everyone had a good Easter if they celebrate it!)
Robinpaw ~
The more he wiggled around in the dirt outside the den, the more his long fur was picking up dirt and moss from the ground, but the young tom did not care very much about that. He was just more focused on getting himself completely comfortable, making the most of the time they would have before someone would come and ruin their relaxation. Most likely Goldenwing coming to find her apprentice once she was done chatting with Stormgaze. Robinpaw wasn't sure where his own mentor was at the moment, but he found that he didn't care very much.
"Well you're no fun," the long furred tom meowed with a huff as he rolled back over onto his side, resting his head down on the ground, amber eyes staring at the younger she-cat. Though he still didn't really seem to act all too bothered about this. It was not like being woken up with a big deal in the end.
Going back to stretching his legs out, Robinpaw gave one last wiggle to get himself comfortable before he finally relaxed, flanks rising and falling in a steady motion. "Maybe I was just really quiet and you didn't hear me," he did have to point out, though again, that was quite the lie. All night he had been perfectly asleep having nice dreams about running free and hunting. But Sablepaw didn't need to know that right then.

oleandergaze
Wrinkling his nose, Oleandergaze took a step back from offensive smelling plant. He let out a soft huff and turned on his paws. As much as he enjoyed stopping and sniffing at individual plants. He was on the hunt for a certain flowery herb: borage. He knew the stores within his den were slowly starting to dwindle. Normally he would have Sparrowpaw accompany him when searching for herbs, but it felt nice to be alone. His young apprentice was interesting and reminded Oleandergaze much of himself as a young cat; however, being eight moons old did not mean that Sparrowpaw needed to be at his heels at all times like the medicine cat was his mother.
He stalked through the bush. His tail twitching behind him as his gaze sought for the bright color of borage. He knew it was general vicinity of the area... however; he need to find the patch of it. Sometimes the chickens reached the herbs in this area before he did. Oleandergaze frowned at the thought; it was something he did not enjoy dealing with. Something shifted nearby and the medicine cat's head snapped up. Sometimes he forgot to keep an active eye on his surroundings.
His eyes narrowed... before he relaxed as his eyes landed on a familiar black and ginger pelt. "Hello Dapplemoon," he called to the feline in a soft tone, not to disrupt her hunting. "How was your hunt?" he asked with a friendly tone and curious gleam in his eyes. A hint of blue caught his eye but he ignored it as he walked over to the basking feline. The herbs should be fine for the time being, even as he heard the clucking of chickens close by.

Stormgaze.
He had expected as much, and was grateful to hear her confirmations. The tom nodded, "I'm glad to hear it all the same," he responded with a twitch of his tail. The lithe deputy shifted briefly, his coat fluffing up against the gentle breeze that began battering through camp. He was grateful that the day appeared that it was going to be fine enough weather, but as newleaf approached it would inevitably replace with cold frosts of leafbare with cold rains of newleaf. One evil exchanged for another, as he wasn't the thickest coated of cats by nature and didn't manage the cold particularly well. However newleaf meant more prey, and he wasn't about to complain about that. But newleaf might mean more food, but there would also be the predators coming out more regularly to make the most of the kinder weather. Nodding briefly, trying to look unperturbed by the weather. "No such thing as too safe," he admitted. "I can't imagine Shadowblossom would appreciate learning there's a fox roaming close to camp," he said with a twitch of his whiskers, a light show of amusement.
Goldenwing, ᏼꮖꭱꭰꭱꮖ🇳ꮐ Cloudweaver.
If the warrior noticed the distress the tom cat had briefly been through, he didn't make such apparent in how he conducted himself. Internally the silver coated warrior had noted it, and considered whether or not to check whether he was doing ok. Eventually he realised it would be preferable to allow the apprentice to compose himself, and the warrior believed himself close enough with the youngster that if there was anything to worry about, Goosepaw would eventually let him know. He nodded, accepting the tom's answer without need to pry any further. "I hope you slept while despite it, we might be out of camp for a while today," Cloudweaver returned kindly. "I was hoping to take you to the bordering stream today, practice fishing for a little while and then potentially some fighting in the shorter grass, where it isn't as easy to disguise ourselves as other parts of the territory." He explained easily, flicking an ear as he heard the other two apprentices depart but otherwise his attention remained focused. By nature the young warrior was a good natured and playful creature, but at the very least he took teaching his apprentice as a very important task. Both of them shared the difficulty of struggling when it came to stealth. Both were large cats, and Cloudweaver faced the extra trouble of being marked with a coat that stood out like a sore paw against the greens and browns of the territory. The warrior believed that to be the reason he was assigned this particular apprentice, and hoped they could work through the struggle together. "Are you ready to get going now?" He asked, eager to be free of camp's confines and into the open air of the territory. Goosepaw, ℊℓоω .

Sablepaw.within the camp. with Robinpaw. After a brief moment, the molly rose to her feet and shook the dust from her fur. The sun was starting to warm her fur, now, and it brought life to her muscles. It made her restless, too - unable to sit still, ready to go. But she didn't dare to disturb Goldenwing's conversation, and so she patted at Robinpaw lightly, ensuring her claws remained sheathed so as not to harm him.
"Quiet, eh?" she tilted her head, eyes narrowing. "Somehow, I doubt that."
Maybe she should've believed him - but when she'd been waking in fits and bursts from her restless sleep, she certainly hadn't heard him. At all. Sablepaw's tail-tip twitched with amusement and she flicked her gaze to the entrance to camp, then back to the tom. The Warriors milling around camp seemed to be absorbed in their own worlds. She lowered her head and her voice. "Want to go hunting? Quick in-and-out. They won't even notice us go."
Dapplemoon. the ivy clearing. with Oleandergaze.
She heard pawsteps nearby, subtle but there. Aware that her reflexes were quick, Dapplemoon stayed where she was, forelegs stretching upwards as she exposed her stomach to the sun. It was likely a Clanmate - maybe a mentor and apprentice duo. But as the wind shifted and she caught the scent of herbs and tomcat, she realised that it was Oleandergaze. This was confirmed when his voice spoke up, and she rolled onto her belly and sat up, fur fluffed up at awkward angles - but this was just her natural appearance, feather-soft fur often unkempt but not tangled. It was a look she was trying to achieve, the rumpled sort of wildcat look. Maybe it wasn't working.
"My hunt was eventful," she replied with ease, searching through the mixture of light and shadow until she detected the subtle shifts of movement that came with a cat's breathing. Long whiskers twitched, her head swaying from side to side, similarly to a snake. It made it easier to focus, to see the subtle movements she needed to focus on another. Perhaps she didn't know what her Clanmates looked like, but she knew their scent better than she had ever expected; the bitter tang that remained subtle on Oleandergaze, for example, telling her that he resided in the medicine den. Sparrowpaw was getting that scent, too. They were smells that cultivated over time and told her more about those around her.
The slender molly crossed the short distance between them. If she put her face right up against someone else, she could almost make out their features, the colour of their fur - but she'd never come that close to anyone save for one of her fellow apprentices on her first night in the apprentice den, and she'd quickly learned that nobody enjoyed that sort of closeness. So, while Dapplemoon remained close to keep track of where the medicine cat was, she didn't invade his personal space.
"I caught a thrush," it was hard to remove the pride from her voice. "What are you looking for? Perhaps I can help." the clearing held so many various scents, and she wasn't skilled enough with herbs to differentiate between them - but if described, perhaps she could aid in scenting them out.

Goldenwing ~
When the rain started to come, which it would as it always did around this time of year then she just hoped that the water level didn't rise too much. She still remembered the previous year when the stream burst its banks and a lot of the territory was submerged underwater. That had certainly made hunting difficult as a lot of prey had drowned in the water or moved away because their home had been washed away.
"I don't think any cat would appreciate a fox roaming too close to camp," she did have to admit with a small purr. It was dangerous to everyone, not just the queens and unborn kits. Though she would admit they would be most at risk, as well as the elders and apprentices who were too young to know how to deal with a fox. But no, it was not worth thinking about who would be at risk during a fox attack, everything would just be safer if the fox was driven away and didn't get too close to camp in the first place.
Swiping her tongue around her jaw, Goldenwing eventually gave a soft sigh before pushing herself back up to her paws, leaning back into a stretch before straightening again. She glanced over to where Sablepaw was lounging around with Robinpaw for a moment, nose twitching slightly before she turned her attention back to Stormgaze again. "Well, I can't be sitting around here all morning," she finally meowed again, "Would you like to go on that patrol to check for the fox now?
Robinpaw ~
The long furred brown tom couldn't help but swipe back at Sablepaw as she battled at him, trying to get her back for smacking him in the face with her tail by doing the same thing with a sheathed paw. Though she was sitting a little far far away and his paw barely missed the front of her nose. But he supposed it was close enough, huffing as he sat himself up, shaking little flecks of dust from his pelt.
"I can be super quiet," he meowed, puffing his chest out slightly, "You just don't know because I was that quiet that you couldn't hear me." Sure, he could be sneaky and stealthy when he wanted to.
Yawning the last of the sleep away, Robinpaw narrowed his eyes slightly as he looked around the camp, fluffing his fur out against the breeze blowing through camp. But then he heard Sablepaw's suggestion, eyes shining as he looked at the younger apprentice, "Do you even need to ask?" He didn't waste any time, rising up to his paws, throwing a quick glance to where Goldenwing was chatting with Stormgaze and taking a quick check of where everyone else was around camp. Now was their moment, if they hung around for much longer they were going to get caught.
"Come on then," he meowed softly, eyes shining as he glanced over at Sablepaw before he started to trot towards the camp entrance, keeping his paw steps light and body low to the ground to try and avoid being spotted by anyone.

Stormgaze.
The deputy chuckled, he had known queens in the past who would happily take down a fox alone if it meant keeping them away from their kits, though with varying success. Whilst Shadowblossom didn't exactly seem the type, he didn't know the queen well enough to say for definite. "I imagine she'd prefer not to have kits in a fox infected camp anyway," the dark grey warrior replied with a shrug of his shoulders. His smile faded slightly, Stormgaze wasn't exactly thrilled, admittedly the tom wouldn't have minded resting in camp for a little while longer, the effect of poor night habits and the ache from his morning excursion already apparent, all the same he nodded his head insistantly. "Of course," he responded, more likely to shed his skin all together than he would let others go into battle without him. "If you're ready?" He said, whiskers twitching at her apparent eagerness. "Do tell me who would you prefer I bring?" He queried playfully.

Goldenwing ~
"If the camp is fox infested, then I think that would mean none of us are around anymore," she offered with a playful meow and a twinkle in her eyes, "Because I don't know about you, but I don't think I could put up living with a fox." And she was quite sure the fox wouldn't want to live with cats, either. It was more likely that the fox would simply eat all of them and then take the camp for itself. But that was really not something she wanted to be thinking about. It was not even like they were sure the fox was still around anymore. It could have moved on by now and be bothering someone else. Hopefully, it had gone across the river.
While sitting around sharing tongues had been nice for the short while, Goldenwing was just a cat who couldn't sit still for very long. She needed to be doing something constantly, always busy and doing her part to help VineClan. And right there was a task that needed doing that couldn't be put off for very long. Well, it could, but she knew it would just bother her if they ignored it.
"Maybe I should bring Sablepaw," she did have to muse, thinking about it for a moment, "But if we run into the fox I don't want her getting involved. She's still young and we haven't covered many fighting techniques yet." Those would come later, first, Goldenwing was trying to get her to perfect her hunting as she felt that was more important at the moment. "No," she eventually decided with a shake of her head, "I don't want to risk it. You can bring whoever you think would be best."

Sablepaw. within the camp. with Robinpaw.
When she sensed Goldenwing's gaze upon her, her pelt prickled. It was like a sixth sense. Detecting her mentor's gaze, knowing when she was being watched. Without turning around, she waited for a few heartbeats until the prickling stopped, shot a glance towards her mentor, and darted towards the entrance, body low to the ground. Slinking out of camp was the easy part - it was staying off the path and remaining hidden out in the territory that became a problem, but she was sure that she could do that, too.
"This way," she murmured to her fellow apprentice.
The wind was in the perfect direction to scent a variety of things across the territory. The Ivy Clearing was certainly out of bounds - she could detect both Oleandergaze and Dapplemoon without a second thought. The rest of the scents were jumbled, though, stale scents and patrol scents mingling with anything fresher. Regardless, the silent molly moved quickly, tail waving back and forth with anticipation. Her path was clear and set; the thunderpath.

oleandergaze He padded across the grass with surprisingly amount of grace and stealth for a cat who wasn't trained for that sort of thing. His whiskers twitched in faint breeze that blew through the clearing. Oleandergaze purred. "I am glad," he meowed before letting out a soft huff of laughter, "My own hunt was almost unsuccessful." His catch was nearby. In the corner of his eye, he could catch glimpses of the bright borage leaves swaying in the breeze.
His green eyes flickered back towards Dapplemoon, tilting his head at her typical mannerisms. The medicine cat always had a small inkling what bothered the feline; yet since Dapplekit never asked for his help or expressed worry about her condition. He would never make a fuss about it.
Oleandergaze nodded and made a soft nose, "Thrushes taste delicious," he joked. Jokes aside, he did love the taste of birds. Sometimes he wondered what those plucky chickens would taste like yet he knew the clan would never be foolish enough to tear into one of the human's pets. "Good job," he offered his congratulations to the warrior for her fine catch. The grey tom shrugged his shoulders and shifted on his paws. "I am looking for borage," he meowed and flickered his tail, "Don't worry, my herbs are close by in this clearing." Oleandergaze turned his head to look directly at the blue flower and thought for a moment, "I think you had some borage when you were an apprentice if you remember it," he muttered under his breath. The clan didn't see sickness too often but every other season, there would a cough that would affect Vineclan.
