(Since Thunderlight's kits aren't real apprentices yet and are trained by him for now I assume they still live in the nursery? That way he can keep them from mingling with the other cats too much, after all. If they live in the apprentices' den anyway I'll edit Brightkit's starter accordingly) "Good morning, Blizzardfang," she meowed, dipping her head. While she disagreed with Blizzardfang on some things, like Thunderlight's leadership for instance, she still respected him. He was older than her and even had been deputy so she didn't mind following his orders. It didn't even bother her that she had to hunt. While being retired hadn't been too bad she always had missed roaming the territory. What did bother her was that only so few cats had to hunt for the entire clan and with Specklefern being stuck in the medicine cat's den they were one elder short. The clan needed all the prey it could get, especially with Thunderlight's questionable training methods. Still, she knew better than to voice any of her doubts in front of Blizzardfang. So instead she stretched herself and nodded. "Of course. Where shall we hunt?"
Weaselstrike Camp Starter
Weaselstrike padded out of the warriors' den, glancing at Vixenheart as she passed her. Once she was outside she stared after Wolfshadow with narrowed eyes. She had caught a few words of the conversation the two mates have had. Not many but enough to know that they were disrespectful towards Thunderlight. But there was no point in reporting them. Not with Wolfshadow talking to the leader. If Thunderlight didn't like what the warrior had to say he could deal with it himself. The calico she-cat glanced around the camp for a while. If she heard anyone questioning Thunderlight's decisions she would give them a warning at the very least. Speaking of the leader, Weaselstrike wanted to know what his plans were for today. He or Amberfire would let the clan know soon enough but she felt a little impatient. She had an apprentice to train, after all. A two-moons-old one at that. It wouldn't be easy, training her. Cinderpaw and her littermates were so much weaker than the older apprentices. But the clan needed strong warriors and had no room for weaklings. Weaselstrike thought about walking over to the apprentices' den to fetch Cinderpaw but decided against it. If Thunderlight had any special plans for his cats she wanted to know first. Depending on that she would decide how she would train her apprentice today.
Brightkit Camp Starter
Slowly, trying to make no sound, Brightkit crept out of the nursery. He wanted to explore the camp a bit more. Or talk to his clanmates. Maybe he could beg Thunderlight to make him and his littermates apprentices already. Wolfshadow's kits were younger than them but they already had their apprentice names. It wasn't fair. While Thunderlight had already taught them some fighting moves that wasn't the same. Oh yes, being trained by his own father was exciting but he had to share his "mentor" with his siblings. Brightkit wanted his own mentor. He wanted to be a real apprentice. The kit padded around the camp, looking at the cats that were up already. He watched the warriors that he could see with great admiration. One day, he hoped, he would be as fierce and strong as them.

《Hey guys! 》 Minkfur Camp Clearing || Open to anyone Minkfur, having awakened earlier that morning, was busy sorting through pitifully low stocks of herbs. With the war that had been raging between the clans Minkfur was always busy with something. Never before in her life had see been busy with patients that she barely had time to fetch herbs to restore her stocks. Today the medicine cat needed to leave camp and replenish her herb stocks. Taking a deep breath the molly sighed. Never before did she think Screechlight had it in him to declare war against the other clans and follow through with it. Riftclan was for sure suffering because of it, probably every clan was. Now more than ever Minkfur needed to keep her thoughts to herself and no longer act with selfish intentions. Muttering a few curses under her breath the plush brown and cream shecat exited her den and padded into camps clearing. Part of her knew that she should speak with Thunderlight about leaving camp, the toms new found unpredictably was worrisome. However the proud molly found it hard to not act independently and looked around to see if maybe someone would be willing to join her. The task ahead definitely required multiple paws.

Amberfire carefully leaves the warriors den and takes a moment to breathe in the cool air. She wanted to enjoy this little moment of peace before charging headfirst into her duties. Just as she was getting used to her role as deputy , Screechlight declares war and Thunderlight starts enacting all these new changes. Amberfire hoped that Thunderlight would see reason and calm down a little. Glancing over at the apprentice's den, she pinned her ears back at the thought of the newly made apprentices. She feared that one of those young apprentices were going to end up dead.
Firetooth lingered in his nest not wanting to get up. He felt unusually tired and just wanted to sleep some more. He had been training pretty hard recently. I'll just sleep a little longer. He doubted anyone needed him so what was the harm in sleeping in? Firetooth closes his eyes and attempts to fall back to sleep. Whatever had to be done his clanmates could handle it.

Embermask glanced at the freshkill pile and nodded. Even with Wolfshadow's rabbit they would have much to do today. Hopefully they could catch enough prey. So in that regard the Glowing Meadow was a good place. At least there was little to no risk of running into cats from the other clans. Even if they entered RiftClan-territory they wouldn't get very far. Not that Embermask would have minded, sometimes she wanted to run into a warrior of SummitClan or GrottoClan and teach them a lesson. Not an entire patrol, of course. But she felt confident that she could take on a single warrior. But maybe she only felt that way because she missed the times when she herself had been a warrior. "Well, we'd better get going then," she said as she walked towards the camp's entrance. "Before any other warriors decide that we can't do our job properly."

(Aw lol) Amberfire: Riftclan Camp with Rosepaw Starchaser Amberfire sees Rosepaw coming up to her and waves her tail in a greeting. "I slept all right, how about you?" Her sleep had been a little restless, but she managed to fall asleep somehow. Despite what everyone else thought, Amberfire was proud of Rosepaw, and how she didn't falter with all the drastic changes over the last few moons. Amberfire made it a point to hint towards Rosepaw's ceremony a few times with Thunderlight. "No, not yet. I wanted to just sit and enjoy the peace for a little bit."

Embermask RiftClan territory /Blizzardfang Starchaser Embermask couldn't help but snort in agreement. "How many battles have they been in? Some of them haven't even seen an enemy patrol before the war started. We've done more for the clan than any of them." She shook her head in annoyance. "But they always think they know everything better." Part of her felt a little guilty for saying that. Sure, many of her clanmates behaved that way but some of them only did so because they genuinely cared and Embermask couldn't fault them for that.
She paused when Blizzardfang did, taking in the various scents of prey. Surely they would be able to catch a good number of them. She hoped that the animals they would find wouldn't be too scrawny. While the clan couldn't afford to be picky she knew that some of her clanmates would complain about prey like that. She and Blizzardfang would catch what they could get and hopefully that would include some fat birds or rabbits. Keeping an eye out for anything that looked like decent prey she followed Blizzardfang to the Glowing Meadows.

{ Vixenheart } Early Morning Warriors Den The russet furred molly finally had woken up again she then got up. Her muscles ached but she forced herself to move as she got out of the warriors den she decided to actually go and hunt. She wanted to visit her kits to how they were doing but decided against it, she didn't want Thunderlight's minions to start in on her she wasn't in the mood. She held her head up to appear strong and went against her muscle's wishes. She thought of going to Snowstep and Silenthowl for some reassurance but she didn't want to bother them. She then sighed and thought about maybe visiting Foxfrost before she goes and does either some hunting or a border patrol. coding & icon image by officialrainleafwcf

Rookstream
Home Camp | Early Morning | N/A | @tags
In the near center of camp, just near the High Stone, Rookstream sat as the Clan moved by without a care in the world. Her paws dragged around the nearby dirt, creating small, unintelligible drawings in the ground. Some looked vaguely cat-like, others were just a mishmash of lines and squiggles, but they amused the warrior enough and kept her from thinking about the more serious issues going on right now, at least until something of importance called upon her.
"What's up, Rook?" A familiar voice made itself known in her right ear, setting it off into twitching. "Counting the clouds?" Rookstream grunted in surprise as her brother appeared out off nowhere and leaned on her, almost knocking her flat on her side with how heavy he was, but she was no lightweight herself. Ravenstorm craned his head over to peer at what his sister was scratching on the surface, eyes narrowed as if he were concentrating. "Another one of your fancy drawings? That looks like Screechlight's fat head," he added, pawing lightly at one cat-like scribble.
Smirking, Rookstream shoved him away, making him stumble to regain his balance. "Oh go bother someone else, I'm not in the mood for that today."
"That stings." Ravenstorm looked at her and curled his tail on his back, looking almost injured at her response, although she knew he wasn't being serious; they had done this routine in various ways before for both to know that neither could truly hurt the other. Her brother purred and gave himself a good stretch before he turned to nudge Rookstream playfully. "I'll leave you to it then. And don't go chewing off someone's ears, sis."
"I leave no promises," she mumbled to herself as her brother left her, resuming back to her drawings. When she was done, the warrior raised a paw to sweep the dirt back over and paused. Her eyes squinted as she processed what she was seeing and then widened.
"Huh, that does look like Screechlight's fat head."
She covered the dirt drawings and started over.
Ravenstorm
While his sister was busying herself with playing in the dirt, Ravenstorm wanted to do something more productive and there was always something in need of doing in the camp. He wasn't in the hunting or fighting mood, although he would surely answer to the call if one needed him. He would rather take it easy to day.
While padding away from Rookstream, Ravenstorm swept past a few dens, and as he crossed the entrance leading to the medicine cat den, he heard what seemed to be a weary sigh from inside. His head turned towards the source where he could see Minkfur looking through her stock of herbs with what appeared to be a worried expression on her face.
I've found my productive task for the day.
"You look like you could use some help," Ravenstorm meowed as he padded over to Minkfur's side once she had exited her den and was in the general camp area. He did a loop around her eagerly. "Need any extra paws?"

Minkfur Camp || Ravenstorm sorethroat A small flinch the echoed across her dark cream pelt was the only thing that gave away her surprise to the warriors sudden appearance. However the molly was happy for the toms company, he seemed eager to lend her a paw and that was all she needed for a small smile to form upon her face. "Yes, help would be fantastic." She meowed at a normal tone as she watched him circle her. As she continued to speak her tone shifted into more of a whisper. There was no need to worry the clan with this information. "My stocks are dangerously low, this war has all but drained them. I've even had to start breaking into the stocks I set aside to get us through leafbare. Starclan forbid I run out of supplies in a time like this." Then she raised her voice back to a normal tone. "It would be amazing if you came and helped me gather herbs for the day."

Embermask RiftClan Territory /Blizzardfang Starchaser
Embermask nodded at that. It didn't seem likely but maybe there was a slight chance their clanmates would see that they were in no way inferior. How long would it take, though? She hoped it would still happen in her lifetime. Right now most of her clanmates really seemed to have forgotten why they should respect their elders. If Thunderlight wasn't so insistent on having his warriors train for battle all the time she would have suggested that anyone who complained about the prey could hunt their own food.
The she-cat noticed the bird shortly after Blizzardfang did. At his tail-flick she nodded and slowly crouched down, keeping her eyes on the bird. Blizzardfang was very likely to catch it himself but if he didn't the bird would probably try to escape in her direction. Making sure that the bird didn't see her or notice her otherwise she carefully flicked her tail, signalling that she was ready.
Brightkit was still watching the warriors, wondering which one would be his mentor someday. He hoped for a strong and confident one. Of course no one was as good as Thunderlight but the kit was sure that his father would choose the best warriors for him and his siblings. Some of the warriors he saw already had apprentices and Brightkit felt slightly jealous of Rosepaw. Her mentor was Amberfire, the deputy! But maybe Thunderlight would make her a warrior soon and Amberfire would be free to train someone else. At least he hoped so. To him it was only fair that the deputy would train one of the leader's kits.
While he watched his clanmates he saw Sagepaw emerge from the apprentice's den. He had wondered how his former denmates were doing and the smile on Sagepaw's face told him everything he needed to know. Being an apprentice was exciting and fun, much more than being a kit was. He wanted to walk over to her and ask her all about her training. What had she learned so far? Was her mentor any good? And how were her siblings doing? But there was no need for him to run to the apprentice's den after all. Sagepaw was already running over to him. He tried not to laugh as she tumbled to a halt.
"Hi, Sagepaw. I was just trying to figure out who our mentors will be," he cheerfully returned her greeting and gave a playful growl when she suggested battle training. Now he could see for himself what his cousins were learning. He wondered how good Nettleshade was and what he had taught Sagepaw. Eager to fight he began to circle Sagepaw and swished his tail.

Amberfire: Camp with Rosepaw Starchaser Amberfire lets out a soft purr and relishes in the peace and quiet. She usually liked to try and wait for everyone to wake up before deciding who went on patrols and such. This way, Amberfire could see who looked ready and who could possibly use a break. She considered creating a somewhat big patrol to go out hunting. If Thunderlight tried to question it, she would come up with something. Amberfire takes notice of Stoutwhisker walking over to Coniferheart and shakes her head. She still wondered how one tom could favor one kit, but not the other. "If you ever want to see him suffer, I could assign battle training sessions with the biggest cats in the clan." Amberfire said in a jokingly in hopes of cheering Rosepaw up. "Or just send him on non stop patrols."

"Stoatwhisker," Coniferheart meowed in greeting, her voice as even as she could manage. "I am well, you?" She wasn't used to interacting with her father- most of her life she could get by with just ignoring him. But there was always the rare occasion when he approached her.
Don't let him think you've forgiven him, she growled internally. Her father was the whole reason she had no respect from the clan growing up. He was the reason she had to fight to prove her worth ever since she was an apprentice. And yet, unlike his brat of a daughter Rosepaw he doesn't have the common sense to leave me alone.
"Do you know if I'm needed on patrol today?" she continued, hiding her anger underneath a smile. "If not, I might take a few warriors to check the border near the Mossy Stones- it's possible SummitClan might try to approach from the back side of the mountain." And by take, she meant ask very politely- but Stoatwhisker didn't need to know that. Maybe can ask Wolfshadow to come with, her old mentor was much more of a father-figure than Stoatwhisker ever was, and with the recent mentoring of his kits- he'd been a little on edge. Maybe a trip out in the territory could help.

Amberfire: Camp with Rosepaw Starchaser Amberfire smiles back and lets out a soft chuckle. "I will keep that in mind." Leaving him alone would probably be for the best. Getting involved with all that drama would be messy. However, she wouldn't hesitate to defend Rosepaw from anyone who tried to bring her down. As more cats start waking up, Amberfire starts mentally figuring who would go on what patrols. "Would you be up for a patrol?" She asked wanting to know if she was up for it or not. Rosepaw would most likely say yes but the deputy wanted to make sure.

Rookstream
Home Camp | Early Morning | Bluestrike| redrobin
Eventually there was only so much drawing one cat could do, and Rookstream reached her limit. Sweeping over the scribbles one last time, the she-cat stood up and shook her fur and began to groom between her paws where the dirt clung stubbornly. Enough of that, she thought, placing her paw back down before taking a stroll through the camp towards the fresh-kill pile. On her way over though, she spotted another warrior already chowing down, Batpelt, who caught her interest right away.
Walking past her Clanmate, Rookstream arrived at the kill pile and bent down to survey the prey that was still left over, choosing a scrawny mouse because she wasn't too hungry at the moment. With it swinging wildly in her jaws, she went back to Batpelt.
"Do you mind sharing space for a while?" She asked as she dropped the mouse in front of her, nodding at the bird in Batpelt's paws. If the tom wasn't feeling like sharing meals, it was no problem, but Rookstream wanted an excuse to be near someone and talk to them in order to past time.
Ravenstorm
Ravenstorm nodded his head knowingly, a sad expression on his face. It wasn't right for the medicine cat to be so overworked and low in supplies. For now it was green-leaf and there would be plants thriving all over the place, but what if the war didn't die out? What if it went well into leaf-fall and then leaf-bare? IF it was hard enough now it would be near impossible later. Ravenstorm restrained himself from digging his claws in the dirt. Screechlight and his stupid war were causing too many problems.
"I understand," the warrior meowed to Minkfur as he placed his tail tip on her shoulder in an attempt to show his sympathy. "To tell the truth, I'm surprised we haven't burned through the stock sooner. I'll be happy to lend a paw." And fight off any flea-brained RiftClan cats, he added mentally. It would take Minkfur a while to gather enough supplies and then take them back to camp; with how things were, maybe not even a medicine cat would be safe to do their job. Not to mention with how Thunderlight was...extra helping paws would make sure that Minkfur wouldn't be missed for long.
"Let's hurry and get to it," Ravenstorm said in a hushed voice. "Do you need anyone else to come with us?"

Cedarsnout: Camp Open.
Cedarsnout slowly leaves the warriors den and lets out a loud yawn and sits down to groom his fur. While grooming his fur, he glances over at the leader's den and lets out a small grunt. Wonder how Thunderlight could sleep knowing that his clanmates were suffering. He had a lot of thoughts when it came to Thunderlight and his new rules. He hated the idea of kits training for anything right now. "Breezelight was so much better." He muttered to himself.

Minkfur sorethroat (sorry for the late reply) Minkfur understood the warriors hushed tones and nodded. Once they were out of camp they'd be in the clear, not having to worry about Thunderlight stopping them and changing their plans for the day. "We should be fine for now. If we need more paws we can always snag someone when we make a trip back to drop plants off." Taking heed to the toms words Minkfur stood up and quickly led the way out of camp and into the territory. Her pace remained brisk, and she intended to put distance between themselves and camp. The molly had a plan when it came to fully restocking her stores. "Inwas thinking we could gather that which is farthest away first and work our way back towards camp. What do you think?" She questioned casting a quick sweet look back to Ravenstorm, happy for the company.

Embermask RiftClan Territory /Blizzardfang Starchaser
Embermask sat still, keeping her eyes on the bird and ready to spring into action if it somehow managed to escape Blizzardfang. There was no need for it, though. It wasn't exactly the best display of hunting skill but he had managed to catch the bird. It was too bad that the bird had let out a warning call, alerting any nearby prey. Embermask knew better than to comment on it. She wouldn't like any remarks about her possibly declining hunting-abilities, just like any other elder. And RiftClan elders could be especially prideful. It was bad enough for someone like her, who used to be an outstanding warrior. So it must be so much worse for Blizzardfang who used to be deputy.
At his words she nodded obediently but with an amused smile. "Wouldn't dream of it. Our warriors are too full of themselves already, they don't need another reason to treat us like mouse-brained apprentices," she meowed as she watched Blizzardfang bury his bird. She waited for a moment and, when she didn't hear or scent any other prey, continued to walk towards the Glowing Meadow.(Are the brats already used to the whole 'train with unsheathed claws'-thing or are they not using them for this play-fight? Also, how many battle moves do you think they know already? Neither of them has trained for too long but Thunderlight is probably pretty demanding and I bet he expects the same from the other mentors.) Brightkit purred, happy that Sagepaw was just as excited as he was about the possibility of him and his siblings becoming apprentices soon. "Well, he hasn't said so yet but have you seen the way he's looking at the warriors lately? He must be looking for mentors for us!" He kept his eyes on Sagepaw as he spoke, hoping for a chance to attack and catch her off guard. Brightkit wanted to show off what Thunderlight had taught him so far. Surely RiftClan's leader was a much better fighter than Nettleshade. But then again Sagepaw didn't have to share her mentor with her siblings. Nettleshade could focus on her alone which was probably better than having to teach five cats.
He let out an exaggerated yelp when she launched herself at him. While he did let her topple him over he was surprised at the power of her jump. Even if he had tried to remain standing she probably would have knocked him over. He landed on his side and quickly rolled on his back. Brightkit knew that he could slash at his opponent's belly in such a situation but Sagepaw wasn't an enemy so there was nothing wrong with trying that move with his claws sheathed. He put enough force behind his paw-swipes that his attack could be felt anyway and if that wasn't enough to force her off of him he could easily use his back legs to throw her off and get to his paws. If there was something he had learned so far then it was the fact that his kicks were pretty powerful and he wanted to use that to his advantage.

{I am sorry for the absence and not coming back as I promised; the last week for me was filled with finals and essay after essay and it got too much. Everything is done with now at last so there should be no more inactivity for a while.
@minkfur Sorry to keep you waiting and you can always take your time in replying, I'm in no rush } Ravenstorm
Ravenstorm was close behind the medicine cat as she led the way out into the vast territory beyond the camp entrance. He paused to do his usual routine of inhaling the foresty scents that became much more stronger now that they weren't overpowered by the smells of his Clanmates. Despite the horrors of war, it was peaceful here, and a cat could easily make the mistake that there was no war going on at all.
But Ravenstorm knew better; while enjoying the serenity of the forest, the tom kept a wary eye for anything out for anything that was odd, his eyes scanning the thickets that dotted the ground and crowded around him and his partner. There was nothing that caught his eye yet.
Satisfied, the warrior turned his head to Minkfur as she spoke to him, twitching his ears in her direction. With a nod he gave her a friendly blink back at her.
"That would be best," he meowed, knowing that he would rather get the longest and more tedious part of this job out of the way rather than burn out before. "Lead the way, Minkfur."

Minkfur sorethroat Ravenstorm With Ravenstorm in agreement Minkfur quickly set a brisk pace to the edge of the territory where a much needed herb grew. The shecat felt excited to finally be out of the confines of camp and back in the forest, she loathed the days she would be stuck to camp due to necessity of her valuable skill set. However much she enjoi3d being a medicine cat, sometimes it was a bit too much and she needed a break. Her mind then began to wonder into the past when she was finally made into a fully fledge medicine cat. Those days she had much more freedom, and were full of excitement as she explored the world around her. The days where she even managed to find love, no matter how forbidden it had been. A sigh left her lungs as she once again was brought back to the reality of her situation and where responsibility overcame personal desire. It didnt take the pair long to reach the Glowing Meadows, Minkfur had been so caught up in though that she didnt even realize they were there until she had trotted a few paces into the open meadow. "Let's get some marigold first and then see if we can find some horsetails." She meowed finally speaking as she came to a halt and looked to Ravenstorm. Hopefully he didnt think her rude for not conversing with him on the way here, there was simply so much on her mind. Beside her little thoughts back into the past were a welcome escape despite how brief it had been.
