(No problem, life and mental health comes first!) Rainsong smiled slightly at Mintpuddles words and purred in agreement. She didn't dislike hunting but she had always enjoyed border patrols more. At the older she-cats question and Crowleap's answer to it she thought about it for a moment. Then she said "Hm. I really hope there won't be any trouble but who can say for sure? Like Crowleap just said, things have been pretty quiet." A little too quiet, she thought to herself. She certainly didn't wish for any trouble but she couldn't shake the feeling that something was going to happen. Rainsong knew that she felt that way because of the lights in the sky last night. Their ancestors didn't send warnings like that as a joke, though it was a somewhat amusing mental image. The wise and powerful ancestors of the clans, scaring SummitClan just to have a good laugh... Rainsong couldn't help but smile a little at that.
"Well, even if we run into anyone at the border I doubt it will be anything that we can't handle."

Blizzardtuft summitclan camp | early morning | @stitchlover20 , Starchaser
Blizzardtuft let out a meow of amusement as Stormchaser comforted her apprentice. "Yeah what he said, Mosspaw, we won't let anything pick you up and carry you away." She swept her tail forward, booping her apprentice on her snout. "Do you know how bad that would make us look?" She couldn't help the joke, when she was an apprentice, she used to cope with her fear through humor, so she assumed it might help calm Mosspaw's nerves as well. Plus, she knew that she would fight tooth and claw to save the young cat from the talons of a hungry eagle.
Turning back towards Stormchaser, she gave him a nod of approval. "Around the Living Stones sounds good to me!" She hated to admit it but the stones still kinda freaked her out, but Stormchaser seemed so excited, she didn't want to crush him. "Do you remember when we were apprentices, and I made that stupid bet that I could stay overnight at the Stones?" She mentioned, her feet already carrying her out of camp and into the forest.

Screechlight Screechlight shifted his paws back and forth, finding the whole exchange rather awkward. The problem wasn't that he disagreed with his medicine cat- but rather that he did agree deep down. But Ashbird said we couldn't risk the safety and integrity of our warriors over a sign that could have been for any of the clans watched over by the ancestors. Still... He shook his head. He knew that most of the clan preferred his mate to him- he knew that they would much rather her as their leader. So really it was his duty to his clan to listen to her guidance and advice. But still...
He looked back up at Swiftfrost. "Thank you for respecting out choice, and I hope the ancestors send you a worthy apprentice soon, my friend." He dipped his head, trying to show that he could still value Swiftfrost's words even if he didn't act on them. "And if you do have concerns, maybe seek out answers at your next visit to the Haze. I know the Eternal Lights rarely give clear answers, but any extra knowledge you can bring us is valuable."

Crumblepaw summitclan camp | early morning | Blaze ♡ Crumblepaw was momentarily distracted, watching Sunhawk and other warriors move around camp, so he only caught the end half of Mooncherry's greeting. "Uh well," he began, trying to piece together his thoughts. "Since we're going hunting later today, maybe something different like tracking or climbing?" Please, please, please choose climbing, Crumblepaw silently begged. He and his brother didn't have the most experience when it came to climbing practice, and both toms still had yet to take their Climbing Assessment that would give them free reign of the territory.
While he wasn't sure if Wolfpaw shared his ambitions, Crumblepaw had always wanted to take the test early. He wanted to really be seen as powerful and strong and fierce- the strongest apprentice (and then warrior) in the clan.

Swiftfrost grunted with grouchy appreciation for Screechlight's amicable response. That's the way the clan should all act about his apprentice, pray to their ancestors to send one, not try and shove an unsuitable cat into a position they knew nothing about. He eyed the tom with concern, never sure what Screechlight's own true opinions were, or if he had any of his own for that matter. In Swiftfrost's opinion, they aligned far too often with those of Ashbird to be believably his. But this was one of the battles the medicine cat believed to be unwise to pick. "The Haze...yes, I think a visit is due given the circumstances," he meowed, and though to himself, Especially since the ancestors sent me no dreams of explanation last night...perhaps they wish me to bring myself to them instead. He waved his tail in farewell, thinking to check either the elders or anyone else that passed his gaze unwittingly. Mintpuddle shrugged in agreement with Crowleap. "Too true. But isn't it in quiet times when the worst surprises can happen?" A cautious warrior, the she-cat was nearly paranoid sometimes when affairs with the other clans were so silent. Rainsong's confidence made her smile, as she remembered the self-assuredness she also had possessed at fourteen moons. "At least with new strong warriors we're in an even better position than the other clans." It was a tricky subject, but Mintpuddle believed they could see the better of the situation. New warriors to keep their clan safe, even if trouble was indeed on the horizon. She marked their border along the RiftClan side and moved swiftly onward, peering across the frozen river to see if any patrol could be spotted.

[Starties for my last two xx] Rootpaw sighed and flopped onto her back to groom her tangled stomach fur. The benefits of having the deputy as her mentor was the knowledge Ashbird had, the disadvantage was that there was never a morning where Ashbird would sleep in, Rootpaw included. And what's more, the apprentice discovered early into her training how little she could get away with. Ashbird was too shrewd to escape most of the time. But if deputy duties called her attention, Rootpaw had the rare occasion to act out, a lovely pastime she enjoyed even into this age. From the time she was a kit to now, Rootpaw couldn't help but stick her paws where they weren't allowed, just to find out for herself why things weren't allowed.
The orange and black she-cat's bright eyes flicked open in her nest, unable to go back to sleep. Awoken already by Ashbird's patrol call, Maplestorm discovered she wasn't needed until the final hunting patrol. Since Crowleap was needed on the dawn border patrol, she had figured she could sleep further. This was not going to be possible evidently, camp was already far too loud with chattering, even though the morning light had only just graced the clearing. Maplestorm regrettably exited the den, and trotted to the scroungy morning pickings of the fresh-kill pile, selecting the finest piece she could find, a plump, if cold, lemming. She began to eat by herself, and since she was already awake, she hoped someone would bring some exciting news or gossip her way. Surely after the excitement of last night there was some buzz of interest this morning?

Ashbird Done with patrol assignments Ashbird allowed herself a few moments of quiet contemplation while her clanmates swarmed around camp. She knew that she needed to wake up Rootpaw- for as close as her apprentice was to becoming a warrior she would probably sleep the whole day away if no one needed her.
Despite her rebellious tendencies, she couldn't help but feel proud of Rootpaw. The young cat was shaping up to be quite the impressive apprentice- and no doubly would be a skilled and valued warrior. I just hope there's no bad omen for her, she thought, wrinkling her nose.
Poking her head in the apprentice den, she spotted her apprentice still in her nest. "Rootpaw, how are you this morning?" she asked, trying to keep her tone light in case her apprentice was still asleep. Looking around, she saw a familiar ginger pelt. "Bumblepaw," she said, and idea popping into her head. "You might want to wake up too. I'm going to ask Skyrunner to accompany me, you and Rootpaw are overdue for a training session. Training together is the most efficient way for you to practice new skills."

Mottleblaze// Camp//Open
Mottleblaze let out a quiet huff, his warm breath making a small cloud in the frigid morning air, they weren't one to be up this early, rather they enjoyed taking their time in the morning sun, letting it warm their furs and bring life back into their cramped muscles. Mottleblaze was woken by Ashbird's call for patrols and hopped he could still join one, but in reality the wiry ginger tom didn't care the leadership in Summitclan wasn't exactly great but they probably were doing better then their neighboring clans. Screechlight was the face of the clan but Ashbird was the brains and the clan was grateful to have her. Mottleblaze looked around camp remembering that the clan had a warrior ceremony yesterday for two apprentices and strange lights filled the night sky, he figured that would be a topic of discussion among some cats.

Rootpaw's head swiveled from her grooming to meet the gaze of Ashbird. "I'm well. I'm ready to get going," she replied. Upon hearing about Bumblepaw coming along, the she-cat rolled her eyes. He was two whole moons younger than her, and sparring him was how Ashbird wanted her to spend her final training moon? When she was forced to listen to other apprentices learn things she already knew, Rootpaw couldn't help but feel a tingle in her paws to be obstinate. She sighed, and exited the den to stand beside her mentor. Battle training was risky, Rootpaw always found her blood running a little too hot to keep calm and considerate. The ginger tom's heart of gold was too much for her to be witness to, clearly he was made to be a shining example of a warrior, and Rootpaw disliked his kind nature for that very reason.

•●Cavegrowl●• Camp || Screechlight( lazy penguin) & Maplestorm( Stealthfire) Cavegrowls hunt had not gone very well, horrible by all accounts. All he had to show for himself was a skinny young squirrel, something quite pathetic for a warrior of his stature. Oh, and that wasn't all that had happened. Somehow the grey tom managed to sprain his paw. At the time it happened Cavegrowl could have swore that he broke it, but now that he was hobbling back into camp he was able to put some weight on it. Angry and frustrated the large tom stalked over to the fresh kill pile and tossed the scrawny squirrel upon it. 《Okay poke away at old Cavegrowl, he is in a mood for sure!》

Sunhawk couldn't help but follow his sister's gaze across camp. His amber eyes flickered around and he wrinkled his nose. It seemed like Mooncherry had caught up her apprentice while more and more of the clan was starting to wake up and leave their nests. He ignored the nervous twist in his stomach. Even faced with possible social exile, the ginger tom wouldn't just tuck his tail between his legs and run away, he was a warrior now.
"Have faith," Sunhawk repeated, looking back to the calico feline with a small smile. "Eventually everyone will remember that we earned our places as warriors," he mused and swished his tail, eventually might be longer than Sunhawk wanted but he had faith that Summitclan would see the truth. There was no reason to fear him and Lightningmask, they were harmless and loyal.
The young tom's eyes brightened, echoing his sister's reaction with a loud purr. "Our first warrior patrols.. I can't wait," he confessed with a breathless sigh, like he was young fluffy apprentice again. A loud laugh burst out of Sunhawk's chest and he grinned brightly at Lightningmask, "Oh please, everyone knows that I am perfect," he teased with bright eyes. She would have nothing to worry about. Sunhawk was a proud tom, he would do his very best on this patrol and future ones for the rest of his life.
Sunhawk nodded and pushed himself to his paws. His tail flickering where it hung down by his heels. "I need to be back by sunhigh for my patrol," he reminded her. "But I could hunt for sure," he purred. He didn't mind hunting and it would get them peace and quiet out within the territory.

Mooncherry cocked her head to the side, watching Crumblepaw work on starting to form a cohesive thought. She swished her tail and let out a soft hum. She beckoned for the tom to follow her as she started heading for the exit. "I guess we can work on both," she meowed before explaining, "Do some tracking while we are on way towards Lower forest." It seemed like a practical idea. Crumblepaw could get some practice on identifying different prey scents.
She felt like the lower forest was a good place to do both. Her apprentice could practice climbing trees and there was typically a good variety of prey among the trees and bush.

The reddish brown feline was sitting outside of the warrior's den. Her green eyes flickered around camp, landing on Sunhawk and Lightningmask for a moment before jerking her gaze away. Looking at the new two younger warriors made her feel uneasy. Why did the lights be warm for them? There had to be a reason and it couldn't be good. Poppynose was going to try to stay clear of the two siblings for now... at least until there was another sign from their ancestors about what they should do.
She shook her head, dispelling the worrying thoughts from her mind. No reason to get worked up over nothing, she mused inwardly. Her stomach grumbled slightly, maybe she would go down into the ravine and see if there was prey left from yesterday.

Mosspaw flicked her ears in annoyance by their tones toward her. It's not like she was mouse brained, but the idea of being swept away must have been a worry every apprentice had. She merely nodded before staring up at them, frowning slightly as they planned their patrol together. Geez, will I have to be the third wheel this whole time? She thought with a sigh. It seemed every time they went on some sort of patrol with Stormchaser, the two of them spoke among each other while she tagged along. It wasn't that Mosspaw didn't enjoy the warrior's company, she just wanted to spend time with her mentor without any distractions. She sat back though and allowed them to decide where they were going. "Are we going to hunt at the Living Stones?" Mosspaw asked. "Or are we just going to lay around and not get stuff done?" The last part slipped out of her muzzle before she could shut it and felt her pelt warm up. She didn't mean to say that out loud and watched the two, hoping they would either ignore it or won't scold her. She ducked her head a little to stare down at her paws with shame.
Patchpelt / Camp / Open Patchpelt paced back and forth in front of the fresh kill pile. She felt restless from not doing much recently in camp and had hoped to be part a patrol soon. With a sniff, she sat down to calm herself and stared around her in thought. She hadn't seen much of the warriors who supposedly were 'evil' just from a few lights in the sky. She rolled her eyes at the thought of all her clan mates freaking out just from lights being different colors than usual. The warriors seemed fine and didn't act strange to her.

Maplestorm noticed another warrior approaching from behind her and swiped her half eaten lemming to the side, hoping no one imposing would take it as an invitation to share. It was only Cavegrowl, who flung a small squirrel to its addings. He wasn't moving like himself, and whether or not it was an injury or her imagination, it would be worth a reaction. Looking for entertainment of any sort, Maplestorm purred, "Is that a bit of a limp, Cavegrowl? Did that mite give you a hard time?" Her dark muzzle curled in a dim smile, taking a large bite of lemming to hide her smirk and waiting for the tom's retaliation.

B u m b l e p a w [ camp & ashbird (lazy penguin) / rootpaw (Stealthfire) ]
Bumblepaw looked up from his spot as Ashbird mentioned his name, nodding quietly. He was never one to say no to his deputy - Bumblepaw looked up to Ashbird. He'd almost hoped to be like her, before realizing he didn't have what it takes to be deputy. Rootpaw, though - that was an apprentice he could see sprinting all the way through to deputy-ship.
"Of course, Ashbird. And good morning to you both." He grinned and shook out his pelt as he stepped out of the den. Training was always fun to him - as soft-hearted as Bumblepaw was, he had a competitive streak that could put some warriors to shame.
Not that he would try to, though. That would just be disrespectful.
"Did you plan to go anywhere specific to train? Maybe Rootpaw and I could lead the way, as a show that we've learned the territory?" He looked to Rootpaw almost as if asking for confirmation that she would like the opportunity. Rootpaw was a fiery cat - every SummitClan apprentice knew not to mess with her once she got going.
