i wanna know who here has read these as a kid and remember them? i think i read a few of the first books in the series but i never continued or finished any arc. i just ordered a cheap 3 book set off amazon and im looking forward to rediscovering this series! i was prompted to re-read the books bc i watched the movie on netflix and after reading the book's wiki, oH BOY the movie is COMPLETELY different from the plot of the books...no wonder the movie wasnt as remembered or popular despite how GORGEOUS it looks.

I've read a few of them while I was younger during my Warriors reading spree because my library wasn't carrying any Warriors books. I haven't seen or read either in forever, but it looked to me like the movie had tried to compress the entire series into two-ish hours...

I only ever read the first book, but the movie is one of my favorite animated films ever. It's stunning.

I haven't ever picked up the books but i'm really considering it. Yeah the movie was just gorgeous and really sweet, really loved it. Also, it has one of the best movie tie-in video games ever in my opinion. I guess that's kind of like being the strongest fly, but...

Grew up on them. Saw the movie, got the video games, everything (it was a pretty sweet video game btw i still play it every now and then).
I remember it got real weird around book 9 or so, though. Whenever they started introducing the blue owls and hagsfiends. I didn't care for that turn in the story.

I loved the series, at least up to a point. kind of like kazoo queen, I think I lost interest after book 9. I remember that I never was able to finish book 10 because the story changed so much and I never continued beyond that book. but up to that point I loved the books. the movie was also good, as well as the game.

I went through a phase where I just read all the violent bird books, like GoG and Swordbird. I remember really liking it, though it's been a while since i've read them.

Oh man I love these books! I read all the way up to The Outcast, but my school library was garbage and didn't have the rest. When I say I was invested, I was invested. I can still remember a lot of the characters' names and personalities. I would grab a flashlight and sneakily read the books at night. Might scour the web for free mobis and reread. This series, the Silverwing series, and Anne of Green Gables were my childhood books.

I heard that Amazon is prioritizing certain shipments of “essentials” over others because of the COVID thing. Check your estimated delivery date?
