SPOILERS IN THIS POST! it was PERFECT! It's so hard to watch when you've been to psyche wards and had many mental breakdowns like myself. Oh my gosh dude like that hit me straight through the heart! The point of the finale was that the hug didn’t fix anything. the gems hugged steven to show that they loved him unconditionally, that they would support him even when he was lashing out and felt that much pain. the next episode picks up months later after Steven has been to therapy. the point was that no one simple action could fix Steven’s problems. he needed to take accountability, open up, and go to therapy. but his friends loving him through his breakdown and showing him that they wouldn’t keep making it all about themselves was the first step to that. I can't put it into words how much I needed this series. I don't wallow in my own self pity anymore and this show totally brought me out of my funk. I really want to just hug Rebecca Sugar and the Crewniverse for everything they've done for their fans.

It was pretty good imo. I think one problem it suffered from is that they didn't have enough time to flesh everything out. I think the series would have benefited from more episodes, like probably 10 more would have been good. Most episodes ended reeally abruptly and I don't think a lot of the characters had enough time for a proper send-off. Jasper, for instance, I would have liked to see more about how being shattered affected her, and in the end she still doesn't really have a purpose, and she's far too reverent of Steven. I feel like her personality shifted a bit too dramatically for my liking.
I think a lot of the characters in SUF suffered from OOC-ness, but I know that the writing team tried their best and in the end it was a really nice send-off for the series. I like that Steven is finally moving on.
Connie was amazing, I was getting kind of irritated at the pity party everyone was throwing in the middle of all the drama but Connie really came through. She was the best part of the second to last episode for me.

I loved SU and SUF. This series means so much to me, been watching for 3 years. If I had to complain, I was fond of Spinel in the movie, but she was very annoying in Future, especially in I Am My Monster, but then again the Diamonds were too in that episode. And yea, honestly there should've been more episodes. There was still stuff I wanted to see, like the backstories of the Off-Colors, more fusions, a Lapis and Jasper confrontation… Speaking of Jasper, I was super bummed out about her, she's the one thing that really bugged me about the finale! Everyone else had this bittersweet send-off, we knew what would become of them, what they would do with their lives, etc. Jasper just busts out of the wall, talks for 20 seconds and busts back inside, their convo should've had more to it. They could've shown her like begrudgingly helping around Little Homeworld or something. I Am My Monster and The Future should've been 30 minutes each to expand on things. Still, really loved the show and the ending. It was a good run, thanks Rebecca Sugar.
