I'm working on a rewrite titled Warriors Reborn, and so this means I research for anything that I may need to fix for the fandom. I hear people complain about Firestar's character, especially after arc 1. And to actually know what I need to fix, I need to ask you all what I can do to fix his character after arc 1. (Don't just say "hE wAs a bAD ChaRActER AftER SeRiES OnE, ENouGH SaID I DoN't nEEd tO ExPlAinN AnY-" Please be specific, I really want to do my best to make his character work well

I honestly don't have a problem with him after series 1. The only problems he has are larger plot issues(like endorsing Brambleclaw as deputy despite him turning out to be an ineffectual leader in AVOS). I can't see why people would even complain, he acts like he always does. I guess there's an argument that he shouldn't have been the fourth cat, but again, that's a bigger plot issue rather than any issue with him personally.

I don't think there's anything TO improve on. The complaints on him being "boring" after arc 1 for instance are usually just due to the fact that he's not a PoV character anymore, and thus we don't see into his head the more complicated stuff Fire thinks about and thus we see his actions only, he's a BG character by that point but considering he as a character wasn't the focus (As little as a protag character like he can be while still constantly appearing as he should in the books that is) anymore for a long while, he'll seem "boring" because of that. Not that I thought that myself, I was fine with him being a prominent BG character at that point as long as he was around. The old comments in the past long time ago on the Gary-stuness and him being perfect was really just folks ignoring that he still showed many flaws even outside his PoV, you just don't see the "nitty-gritty" to really emphasize them but that never meant those flaws AREN'T there anymore and just disappeared. Especially when you got the mention above on how he kept Bramble as deputy despite seeing with his own eyes the guy almost was tempted to literally take all his lives in one go and perma-kill him, but I blame the Erins for pushing the "Brambleclaw should be deputy" thing into the narrative than anything instead of keeping to common sense. Other than that he's still the same cat, just negated to BG status.
As for the Fourth Cat thing. That's again more on the writing than anything else with the books than the character. But for me personally, it basically meant that his whole "arc" was never over until his death. He had been somewhat important still the whole time despite the end of series 1 giving the vibe that it was by that point in terms of his arc, but it was never finished until he finished off Tigerstar, and in doing so he lasted long enough to leave a legacy in a way to where folks feel empty reading the books without him even now (Which I've noticed and can agree on).
So I think he's fine.

Totally nix the "three must become four" prophecy all together. That's it. That's my only problem with him.
Though I will say if your goal is to make a rewrite of the series that everyone will love, that's not going to happen. Each person in the fandom has wildly different opinions, you'd be better off writing for yourself and doing what you want to do with Firestar's character than you would be if you tried to incorporate everyone's individual criticism of the series. I have no doubt you could write a better version of Warriors than what we have, but you're never going to please everyone.

I don't mind criticism, I know everything has room for improvement, it's just that the criticism given is extremely harsh and one of my main reasons for starting Warriors Reborn was mainly for fan service. Everyone was complaining and whining about the flaws of the series that I thought of the idea of a community rewrite since no one really rose up to the opportunity. I just want to make a rewrite that will hopefully fill the spaces and gaps the original left.
