Plot 2: Character 1 (your main character) has had visions and dreams since early in her apprenticeship. A prophecy has been whispered in her ear by passing dreams for a pawful of moons, telling her that her paws will be responsible for many, that she has an important future, and more. Moons of this secret foretelling has made Character 1 a little self-important and proud, ready for the roses to be thrown at her paws, so to speak; yet Character 1 isn't an egotist. She is loyal to her clan, has no issue with the common duty of the warrior, and has a healthy pool of empathy one might not expect from knowing her very little. Character 1 is dropped into a mess when Character 2 (my character) arrives from an adjacent clan, declaring that his clan is being slaughtered by dogs. Upon investigation its found that most of the clan has been killed, with faint traces of a couple cats who may have escaped.
Character 2 swears that there was a cat who entered alongside the vicious dogs, and though it doesn't make any sense, he swears the cat was attacking his clanmates. He can't describe the cat, but he is certain of it. He needs shelter, and from here the clan, for their own safety, feels compelled to at least attmept to discover where these vicious dogs came from. Character 1 by the next day is contacted in another dream, and finally met by a cat with stars in their pelt--and are told it is time to live up to all of the whisperings she has heard since she was young.
Characters (to be developed as we progress):

Played by sweetclover1:
Stormpelt- Dark grey she cat with white toes and tail-tip and amber eyes. Her fur is medium length and has a more stocky build, more due to trudging through the muck as an apprentice.

His pawsteps pounded heavily in the light rain as the sun dipped below the horizon, his ears folded back and quick, heaving breaths making every running step more difficult. The raging of barking dogs behind him filled his ears accompanied by the occasional yowl of a cat, something he couldn't think too deeply about right now if he wanted to get help, as Cherrystar had commanded him. He was one of the swiftest pairs of paws in Windclan, and the leader had entrusted him with begging for help from another clan.
He raced across the territory, his heart continuing to pound and tears beginning to make their way from his eyes as he couldn't fight back the images of cats being bitten to pieces at the jaws of the invading dogs. He couldn't remember how many he had seen, just that it was like a pack of them. And...and he couldn't forget the strangest thing that had struck him amidst the rush of them entering--a cat behind them, entering with a smile that chilled him to his bones.
These thoughts were racing through his head as, drowning in seeing these images over and over again, he tore through the entrance to the Shadowclan camp, coming to a screeching halt as he sucked in a deep breath. "Dogs...! Windclan is...There's...Please...! Dogs at...Windclan! Attacking!" His heart still pounding, his body trying to catch up with how long he had been pelting at full speed alongside the adrenaline he had received from the attack, he looked around and tried to take in who was around. The sun had just set, and he had to pray to Starclan that these cats weren't already lowering themselves into sleep. "Please! We need...help!"

Another day, another possibility of Stormpelt stalking following the deputy just to see what, exactly, he did all day. If she was going to properly protect her clan, that meant one day she would have to lead, right?
At least, that was the only plausible explanation that Stormpelt could come up with after moons of hearing these whispers in her ears... plus, she was already anxious to get an apprentice and her theory was that if she could mirror the deputies actions, maybe Bogstar would let her have an apprentice soon. Twiglegs kits were five moons, after all, which meant that it wouldn't be long before he started to choose who would mentor them and Stormpelt was determined to be chosen. It was the next step in her destiny, at least that was what she was telling herself.
So there she was, about to volunteer to take the patrol out, when she heard a surprised warning: Windclan incoming.
Immediately she was on edge, fur poofed out, leaping as the poor tom tried to stutter out an explanation, bowling him over afterwards, not that it was hard because it truly seemed that the Windclan warrior was out of breath.
"Stormpelt, off." Came a sharp rebuke at nearly the same time that she snarled a how do we know you're not lying? Immediately, though, the warrior released the Windclan cat that she only recognized through gatherings, scowling as Bogstar stalked forwards. The Shadowclan leader was a large, dark brown tabby tom, his thick fur smooth despite the fact that the enemy was in his camp.
"I didn't catch what you said- you have five seconds to explain yourself before I let my warrior tear it out of you." He warned, voice low as more Shadowclan cats slunk out of their dens, not happy about their sleep being disturbed.
(Also! Adding onto what you had describe with Muse B: Stormpelt is distrustful of other clans to a fault, and outsiders as well, moreso than most of her clan because she also has entertained the thought of cats attacking her clan and that's how she'll save them)

The world began spinning as he was slammed to the floor of the camp almost instantly after he finished huffing the words out of his mouth. Suddenly there were cats spitting hostilities at him from multiple directions and he was having trouble getting his head back on his shoulders.
He struggled back up as quickly as he could in his dazed and panicked state. Clearly, his panting and wide, panicky eyes betrayed just how terrified he was. "Dogs are attacking Windclan!" He forced out of his mouth. "They're organized, and they caught us off guard and we have to get the kits and the elders out. Please!" He begged the gathered cats, continuing to pant for breath as he looked around at every face that was fixed on him. "They're going to die!" His begging sounded throughout the camp as his gaze finally rested on Stormpelt, the cat who was supposed to tear the answers out of him if he stopped speaking. He didn't make any movement, not wanting to appear aggressive or hostile. He needed their help, so badly.

Voices began to filter through the camp, worry and suspicion clear in their voices, because what if this was a trap? It was clear that Stormpelt didn't believe the panicked warrior, her hackles still raise, claws extended as she waited for the order to attack again.
Unfortunately that didn't come as Bogstars ears perked at the metion of dogs. The large tom neared Jasminefur, features unreadable as he gauged the situation, before huffing and turning towards his den. "Palestripe, my den. Squirreltail and Shadepool as well. Stormpelt, watch after the warrior. Make sure he doesn't try to pull anything." It was clear that the warrior wasn't happy at just watching, but she complied with a dip of her head. It wouldn't take long for Bogstar to make a decision- he wasn't the type to waffle, and he and Palestripe often made decisions quickly and efficiently.
"He will be back soon." Her voice was clipped as she circled the warrior, eyes narrowed into slits.
Post by Shadowkitten on Mar 27, 2020 0:15:18 GMT -5
Panic may have already been surging through every fur of his being, but Jasminefur felt it intensify further as the Shadowclan leader called to other warriors in the clan and seemed to just be convening with them. "They-!" He began coughing violently for a short few moments, as he refused his lungs more oxygen in exchange for speaking more. He had wanted to reindicate that they didn't have time to waste, that his clanmates were dying as they spoke for certain.
But he didn't try to speak again, as the warrior in front of him, eyes peering into him as she seemed to be looking for some way to interpret Jasminefur's behavior as an intent to harm the Shadowclan cats. He stayed perfectly stilled, feeling both the terror of the clanmates he knew were dying within his own camp, and the knowledge that Stormpelt seemed completely ready to tear him down to a ragged pelt for an elder's nest. His mouth still half-parted, he met her gaze, trying to find something he could say that would convince her that he wasn't there to do them harm, that his clan was really in true danger-- but nothing was coming to him, nothing that he believed could truly break through this determined, slitted-eyed wall of suspicion. "Please..." He whispered, more to himself in a prayer to Starclan than to the warrior in front of him, as he squeezed his eyes shut.

(Hey, quick question, would you mind changing the color for the text? The purple-ish pink is a little hard to read and it's kind of hard on my eyes ^^' )
Stormpelt watched as the warrior desperately coughed, settling back on her haunches and waiting for Bogstar to make his decision, not planning on letting the tom move at all. He truly did seem desperate- but who's to say that Windclan didn't have their best actor come and beg for help? Sure, it wasn't like they had any recent battles with the clan outside of the usual border skirmishes, but Stormpelt couldn't help but worry that this was it and she had concerns. "It's not my choice, it's Bogstars." Her voice was flat, not particularly uncaring, but certainly neutral now.
Of course it didn't take long for her leader to leave his den, senior warriors and deputy in toe, his tail lashing just a little.
"Stormpelt, thank you. I need you to grab Gingertail, Frogtooth, Sparrowleap and Thrushpaw. We will be leaving right away. Palestripe will stay here, in the event that this is a trap," At the end, he gave a pointed look at Jasminefur as the young warrior leapt off to grab the rest of the warriors (and apprentice) being called. It didn't take long for her to grab her fellow clanmates, most were already awake, and Thrushpaw was practically bouncing on his paws at being chosen to go on such an important mission.
"Lets go." Bogstar grunted, waiting for the Windclan warrior to lead the way.

(Yeah, i'm sorry! I'll try something different and just tell me if it is still hurting your eyes)
Jasminefur didn't expect anything from the warrior who had seemed so prepared to shred him open moments earlier, but he still felt dread creeping further through his heart as the cat simply indicated they needed to wait for their leader. The yowls of his clanmates were playing again and again in his head and he knew that with every passing moment, it was becoming less and less likely that there was going to be anything left to save. There had been so many dogs, and he knew the clan's only real hope was leaving quickly.
Just when he might have started considering the poor choice to dart off himself, which likely would have resulted in a Shadowclan cat charging to take off his pelt, the leader emerged. His wide eyes closed slightly and he mumbled to himself in relief. "Thank Starclan."
He didn't waste any time once the cats had gathered around him. "Thank you," he murmured to the Shadowclan leader, all panic still present in his voice. He spun around and took off out of the Shadowclan camp, beginning the charge back to the Windclan camp at his full, Wind-blessed speed.

It didn't take long for Jasminefure to get going, another reason why this was seeming even more believable even if Stormpelt was reluctant to admit it. They took off, moving fast through the muck and getting closer and closer to territory that Stormpelt wasn't familiar with. She pushed herself, wanting to be as close as possible to Jasminepelt, even if the tom could easily overtake the entire patrol following him.
He was raised and built for speed, after all, where as Shadowclan cats relied more on the dark and their muscle to survive. Poor Thrushpaw was the one struggling the most to keep up, while he was close enough to receive his new name, he was still the youngest out of all of them and had the least amount of stamina. Gingertail kept close behind him, giving the apprentice a nudge or two to remind him to keep up, and soon they were out of the safety of their own territory and into Windclans.
Which was when she smelt the dogs and her hackles raised, wanting to stop, but pushed forward.
(Sorry I disappeared! Something came up yesterday and I wasn't on much! Also that new shade is much better, thank you!)
Post by Shadowkitten on Mar 29, 2020 15:06:30 GMT -5
It wasn't a thought in his mind that the cats would be struggling to keep up with him, and though he wouldn't do it out of malice, there was nothing more important than getting back as quickly as possible. As they pushed in towards the Windclan territory, Jasminefur began feeling an intense wave of anxiety. There was no sound; like nothing was happening, and given how long he had heard the sounds of battle as he fled for help, he feared what the silence might mean.
He rushed over the moorland unhindered by exhaustion as his body was pouring adrenaline into his legs without end. When he finally saw the camp approaching in his sight, he redoubled his efforts and pushed forward. He hissed as he saw blood just a few tail-lengths out of the camp and the body of a cat. He didn't stop for the one cat, but as he passed, he saw the cold dead eyes of the Windclan deputy, Tallwhisker. Fox-dung! He thought as he passed and burst into the camp. Tallwhisker was one of the strongest of all of them, and bites littered the deputy's body.
Jasminefur wasn't prepared for the sight of the camp. At least a dozen cats were sprawled across the floor of the camp, and the mixed stench of dog and their blood fused together to make a nauseating stench. Blood practically covered the camp and as his wide eyes scanned over all of the dead cats in disbelief, the warrior staggered back, stumbling over his own paws and falling back onto his butt, landing in an awkward sitting position.
Cherrystar lay littered with bites off to the side by the nursery, her eyes as grey as the deputy's, and Jasminefur shuddered thinking about what was awaiting in the nursery. The dogs seemed to have disappeared, and if it weren't for the awful stench, the two dead dogs in the camp, and the entire clan of murdered cats, they might have seemed like a fantasy. Unable to really process any of this, Jasminefur was still and silent other than the slow swinging of his head back and forth across the camp as he took everything in.
Post by sweetclover1 on Mar 30, 2020 10:39:21 GMT -5
Frankly, it was clear that everyone was dead the moment that the stench hit Stormpelts nose, and for once she felt ill and some sort of guilt. Not that them getting here a few moments faster would do anything- but it was a horrifying thought that dogs managed to take out what seemed to be an entire clan. She was breathless, much like the rest of her clanmates, when the slowed to a stop and she could feel Thrushpaw lean in close, hackles raised at the sight of the bloodied camp.
"Great Starclan." He breathed out, shaken, and it was easy to remember now that Thrushpaw hadn't seen any real battles, only border skirmishes during his apprenticeship. The past few moons there hadn't been any tensions high enough to warrant any kind of battle, and all she did was nudge the apprentice forward. Bogstar paused at the Windclan leader, expression as unreadable as ever, before turning to Gingertail and Frogtooth. "Go look for survivors among the camp, if you smell dog, don't hesitate to run." He didn't particularly care if another cat called him or his warriors cowardly at that- clearly these dogs had outclassed an entire clan of cats.
He turned to Jasminepelt now, quiet as the remaining warrior processed this. "I apologize for your loss." It was a formality, that was certain, and now Bogstar was left with the decision as to what to do with this lone warrior. Stormpelt genuinely didn't have a clue what the tom was thinking as she stalked around the dead body of a Windclan warrior, Thrushpaw still following her like a lost kit, his greenish eyes wide and black fur raised as if he expected the dogs to come back at any second.
It could happen and Stormpelt was certainly on edge because of it as she watched Sparrowpelt round back towards Bogstar, not as clearly shaken as Thrushpaw but not at ease, either.
Post by Shadowkitten on Mar 30, 2020 11:20:41 GMT -5
Jasminefur was clearly stricken with shock as he processed everything he was seeing. The leader's formality seemed to enter one ear and leave the other as he gazed across the bodies of his dead clanmates. As the Shadowclan patrol spread over the camp, the only thought he could conjure from his racing mind was to look for his sister.
Terror held its paws over his heart as he tried to refocus, the names of all the cats he saw dead running through his head. Rowanrun. Whiteclaw. Hea-
"J-Jasminefur?" An almost fully grown cat lie on the ground, a nasty bite wound over her left eye and still bleeding over the eye and onto the ground as she lay, unmoving, on her side. Her right eye was half open as she gazed absently at the warrior. "You couldn't come...faster...?" Her words were quiet, sounding half asleep and under the effect of poppyseeds.
Jasminefur's eyes widened as the apprentice called his name. "C-Cherrypaw! You..." The she-cat calling to him seemed to ground him back into the moment as he had something to focus on. "Oh, great Starclan, how did this happen..." he muttered as he approached the apprentice. Other than her very bad eye wound the apprentice didn't seem very injured. Taking in a breath, he didn't say anything else, turning and rushing towards the medicine cat's den. It was a matter of seconds before he reappeared clutching as much cobwebs as he could fit in his paw.
Desperate for anything he could do in a situation that left him so utterly powerless, he began applying the cobwebs to the bite wound over her eye as best he could. The apprentice immediately began squealing in pain and protesting, though that protest in her state was little more than squirming in pain. "Shh. Shh. I...You'll be fine, Cherrypaw. You can survive this." His voice dripped with fear, and he seemed to be saying it more to convince himself than to convince her.
Cherrypaw writhed in agony as the warrior was pressing into her eye wound repeatedly as he tried to patch it up. The pain had slowly lowered to a sharp aching, but that had been nothing compared to the dog's jaws closing over her head. Now, he was setting ablaze her wound again and leaving her in awful pain; yet she could barely move, her body in utter shock and shutting down from the pain.
Jasminefur wasn't a medicine cat, and it showed from the patchwork that he did; but it slowed the bleeding, less leaving the apprentice's head as she lay there. "P-please..." He turned to scan the camp, settling it on the Shadowclan leader. "S-she needs a medicine cat..."
Cherrypaw gave a quiet sigh as she heard Jasminefur calling for a medicine cat. He had finished whatever he was doing, thank Starclan. "N-no, I'm fine..." She mumbled. The pain was shooting through her again after what he had done, and she was feeling an ebbing of her consciousness as the pain pressed down on her. "J-Jasmine..." She kept mumbling. "I think I saw..." She trailed off, her eyes beginning to shut as she felt someplace else pulling at her.
"Cherrypaw!" She was jolted back to the camp as Jasminefur desperately pleaded with her. Of course, slipping away, she didn't know he had called her name four times, growing more desperate and upset each time. "Oh..." She mumbled, trying to lift her head, but the shooting pain in her head reminded her that that wasn't a good idea.
"What did you see, Cherrypaw?" Jasminefur sighed with relief as the she-cat returned to consciousness, at least partially. She couldn't die on them, not when the rest of them had been slaughtered like this.
"I think..." Cherrypaw tried to decide whether she had seen this or not. Maybe it had been an illusion? It felt so hard to remember what had happened in the last ten minutes. "I think...Rosepelt got out. So, you should...go find her..."
Jasminefur's heart skipped a beat as the apprentice reported thinking she saw the warrior's sister escape. he didn't know for certain if Cherrypaw could even be certain of that, but it was a strand of sanity he could clasp at as he stood amongst the slaughter of his clan. "Thank Starclan..." He mumbled to himself, though he felt a dark thought replace it rather quickly. Though, they don't deserve thanks for any of this.
"Go f...find your sister..." Cherrypaw mumbled as her eyes started to close again.
"Cherrypaw! S-stay...Hey!" The apprentice fell limp rather quickly this time, losing consciousness and leaving the warrior baring his teeth as he tried to keep himself from losing it. Dreading every second as he watched her lying on the ground unmoving, he hissed to himself and reached forward slowly, placing a paw on her chest.
He exhaled as he felt the beat of her heart. It certainly wasn't normal, but she hadn't passed their world yet. "P-please!" He repeated his plea to the Shadowclan cats. "We have to carry her out. She's going to die!" He was panicked, looking between the leader of Shadowclan and the limp Cherrypaw as his composure seemed to be slipping altogether.
Post by sweetclover1 on Mar 31, 2020 9:52:24 GMT -5
Stormpelt was genuinely surprised when one of the apprentices spoke- and while she was too far away to hear the conversation that they were having, it was clear that there was some relief when it came to the fact that not everyone from Windclan was dead. Perhaps they would be soon- frankly the apprentice looked like she had one paw in star clan already, but she wasn't cruel enough to mention that. Instead, she just stood nearby, ears perked and listening for anything that could suggest the dogs coming back, looking around the area but finding nothing.
She was already on edge from being in a strangers territory, but the lack of foliage and the thick scent of dog was something that she couldn't stand, her hackles starting to raise a little because how could Windclan live somewhere with such little cover?
The Shadowclan warrior breathed a small sigh of relief when the two warriors from her clan returned, grim expressions clear, because they hadn't found anyone else... nor any dogs. One was a good sign, the other not so much... and she looked over at Bogstar, who was nearing the surviving apprentice and warrior. There was a reason why the tom was the leader of the clan, she mused, and that was because even during this he seemingly let on none of his emotions.
Gingertail rounded back to Stormpelt, looking troubled herself as he tabby fur forced itself smooth, looking over at Jasminepelt with a troubled look. "We didn't find anyone. There were dead cats outside of the camp, too. It looked like they were trying to escape." She breathed out quietly, shaken at how quickly a clan was able to be crushed. "But no dogs, either. Its like they left the moment they had killed everything here." Her fur had puffed out again without her noticing, the scarred senior warrior unsure what to do, because she had never seen anything like this before.
"I'm worried... they'll go into other territories." Like our own. That was clear- but at least they had an advantage, right? The thick foliage provided them safety and a way to get away from the creatures that had slaughtered an entire clan. At least, that was what she hoped, staring for a moment at the carnage before shaking out her fur, as if she could physically shake away any dark feelings that were beginning to build.
Instead, though, they seemed to get worse and she flexed her claws into the tough ground of the moor. "We'll be prepared." The younger warrior uttered, ignoring the doubtful look that her senior was giving her, ears flat against her head because just sitting around and doing nothing was going against her training but there wasn't anything they could do when practically every cat was dead.
She finally got up with a huff, padding closer to Bogstar, overhearing the plead to help the apprentice. Bogstar didn't answer at first, as if he were debating whether it was going to be worth it, before nodding slowly. He reached forward, grasping the apprentice by the scruff and pulling her up, twitching an ear to encourage Jasminepelt to leave as well. They could return later, looking for any other survivors, but clearly this was the only one in camp that did so.
"We're leaving." Stormpelt voiced that thought, looking over at the Warrior from another clan, unsure how she felt about all of this as Thrushpaw let out a tiny gasp. "Cherrypaw?" They had spoken a few time at Gatherings, but Thrushpaw seemed to do well with names and faces and scents, so it wasn't a surprise that he recognized the she cat that was being help by his leader, once more pressing against Stormpelt for some sort of comfort- which made sense. They were related, after all. Thrushpaw was just from another litter and they were half siblings, but got along decently enough.

Jasminefur felt his blood freezing over as the leader of Shadowclan seemed to debate whether saving the cat was going to be worth it. He was beginning to wonder how the cat could consider to leave the apprentice who needed so much help, but then the leader nodded slowly and he sighed quietly with relief.
He felt grateful as the leader took the responsibility of carrying the Windclan apprentice. he was going to carry Cherrypaw as long as he needed to to get her to safety, but his body was already fatigued and heavy with the weight of taking it that his clan had been utterly crushed by this...pack of dogs. He wouldn't have been able to say it but he was in a state of utter shock and he didn't even seem able to express the myriad emotions that should have come with seeing his whole clan slaughtered. He was just...stunned, and blank of emotion, except for the fear that had come through as he responded to Cherrypaw.
Jasminefur scanned through the Windclan camp again, his mouth agape as his eyes drifted over the various bodies one more time. He had failed all of them. he needed to be faster, or maybe he should have stayed to fight. Maybe it would have made a difference. He messed up. How could he have messed this up so badly?
Trying to hold back tears that he felt coming onto him, the warrior forced himself to spin around and focus on getting Cherrypaw out of here. She needed a better patch job than he gave her and the longer he lingered here, the longer she wasn't going to have any help.
Jasminefur tuned into Thrushpaw as the cat recognized his clanmate. Clearly they had been acquainted and, even though he was grateful the leader had decided to help, a hopeful and calculating part of him told him that hopefully, Thrushpaw being worried about Cherrypaw dying would be something of an extra push for giving her the help she needed. "L-let's go..."

It wasn't quite that Bogstar was debating on whether saving the wounded apprentice was worth it or not- he was trying to figure out whether the she cat would actually survive the journey. If he didn't think she would, he didn't want to move her and put her in further pain. Stormpelt understood that- but she had grown up around Bogstar both when he was a deputy and a leader, and knew how he thought. Jasminefur, on the other hand, didn't know him that well and Bogstar absolutely could come off as callous.
Thrushpaw seemed frozen in his spot- seeing someone that he knew shook him more than seeing an entire can slaughtered, apparently- and Stormpelt had to physically nudge him forward. "C'mon, Thrushpaw. We're going back to camp," Her voice was surprisingly soft, completely different than how she had spoken to Jasminefur, turning her attention back towards getting back to the relative safety of the Shadowclan cat. Frankly, she did feel bad for the poor Windclan warrior. If he and Cherrypaw were truly the only two survivors, that meant that Windclan was as good as gone.
She couldn't help but shiver at the thought of there being only three clans, that a clan could be wiped out within a day. She gave a heavy sigh as her classmates returned, all of them standing closer than they usually should, before they headed out. This time, they weren't running as fast as they could, not when Bogstar was carrying an injured apprentice. They needed to make sure she made it back safe, and Thrushpaw seemingly was determined to not let an acquaintance out of his sight, his ears pressed flat against his head as they made it back into Shadowclan territory.
The moment that the thick foliage covered the sky, Stormpelt felt herself relax just a little, because all she wanted to do was make sure that there were large and thick trees for them to climb up. Soon they made it back to their clan, the two guards scrambling onto their paws at the sight of the injured apprentice, clearly shocked that Jasminefur had come back with an apprentice.
Stormpelt was the one of break away from the Patrol, heading straight towards the Medicine Cats den, her fur finally flattening as she made sure that the medicine cat was still awake.
(Do you want me to play the Medicine cat/ Medicine cat apprentice?)
Post by Shadowkitten on Apr 1, 2020 13:01:23 GMT -5
(Would you like to play the medicine cat? I can play the apprentice?)
"She'll make it. She'll make it. She'll make it." Jasminefur was muttering to himself as he paced along the way with the Shadowclan patrol. They couldn't run due to the state of Cherrypaw, which was simoltaneously necessary and maddening when he felt like every second was a monster coming closer to them. They needed to get back quick; the cobwebs, already poorly applied, weren't appreciative of the trip in the jaws of Bogstar.
The warrior was growing increasingly alarmed, trickles of blood starting to make their way through her already bloodsoaked head as they padded through the Shadowclan territory. Desperate to make it, knowing she was at the paws of death, he seemed ready to do something rash, to grab her perhaps and rush ahead to the camp regardless of the consequences that might have.
It was a blessing, then, that they saw the camp soon after. At first Jasminefur didn't recognize it, but he spotted it after a few moments of scanning and, sighing quietly with relief, he hurried with them. "She'll make it."

"Twistedpath?" Stormpelt called in, pausing when she saw rustling in the darkness, swallowing for a moment as a rather young she cat limped out. She had short black fur that would have been sleek and shiny if not for the deep scars that ran across her pelt, including a twisted front leg that was scarred enough to render it useless. She was only recently promoted to a full medicine cat- six moons ago her mentor had passed from a rather nasty bout of green cough- but seemed comfortable enough with her position at this point, even taking on an apprentice.
"What is going on here? I smell blood." The medicine cat demanded as she paused infront of Stormpelt, black fur slightly mussed from sleep, narrowing her eyes just a little as she peered beyond, seeing the injured apprentice in Bogstars jaws. "Why do you have a Windclan cat? Where is Rosepetal, isn't this her job?" She asked in irritation, before turning around to wake up her apprentice, it would be a good learning experience for her.
"(enter medicine cat apprentices name), Wake up and grab some poppyseeds and cobwebs." She called back before staring at Bogstar for a millisecond. "Put her on one of the nests and for Starclans sake explain to me why she's here. Are there any other injuries?" Twistedpath grumbled nudging the little she cat as she tried to get a gauge of the injuries, waiting for her apprentice to come back.
Post by Shadowkitten on Apr 2, 2020 13:34:45 GMT -5
Jasminefur lingered around Bogstar and Stormpelt, monitoring what they were saying while also keeping an eye on Cherrypaw's condition as the medicine cat seemed to be taking up valuable time with her questions. As his anxiety buzzed about in his pelt he felt himself growing impatient and ready to just implore her to help Cherrypaw.
"Was a catnip...?" Oakpaw's head jolted up from its resting place as she was called at by Twistedpath. Clearly arisen from some strange dream, she rose and wobbled on her paws a little as she tried to recover from her dazed state. Once she gathered her composure and stepped closer to the entrance of the den, her eyes widened seeing the leader holding an apprentice that she didn't recognize, and the warrior who had come bursting into camp not long ago. He was the reason her sleep had been broken, twice now.
Seeing the injured apprentice though, clearly older than the medicine cat's apprentice with only seven moons, she emitted a small gasp at the ferocity of the wound on Cherrypaw's face. She had been absolutely mauled, blood covered (mostly) that side of her face, and now that she did a double-take of Jasminefur she could see just how scared he was as his gaze darted rapidly between the medicine cat and the apprentice. "C-come on!" She urged as she stepped back out of the way of the entrance.
It may have been true that Cherrypaw had said his sister may have escaped, and he didn't find her body in the camp...but Cherrypaw was all that he had here. Sharing tongues with Rosepetal and Stonetrout felt from another world now, and Cherrypaw was whisker-lengths from leaving him completely alone in the world. He had never felt a combination so strong of complete desperation and utter uselessness, and it was increasingly showing on his features as he seemed to be losing his ability to control his fears, growing increasingly restless.

"Oakpaw, like I said before. I need you to get me Cobwebs, poppyseeds, and Marigold, now." There was clear irritation in her voice as she leaned down, taking any of the bloodied cobwebs that had been previously put on her before, wanting to see if it was just Cobwebs or if there had been anything else put on it... which it hadn't. Foxdung. "Now, Oakpaw. " The Shadowclan medicine cat sighed, deciding that Jasminefure didn't have any life threatening injuries and turning her back to him so she could further focus on the poor apprentice that wasn't in great condition, her own stomach twisting at the memories of her own injuries, but ignoring it as she got to work on the little apprentice.
Her first focus was on the poor apprentices face- it was covered with blood and probably one of the worst injuries that she could see thus far. For once, she was glad at having an apprentice, not that she didn't like Oakpaw... but it was taking some getting used to, being in charge of such a young cat instead of being the one ordered around, even if by the end she and Smallleaf had been nearly equals. But right now, it was nice having someone who was faster than her with grabbing supplies, and she could guide the apprentice through an emergency.
Bogstar shook his head. "No other injuries- the entire clan has been wiped out, Twistedpath. We had to bring the apprentice back here." He explained as Stormpelt shifted, looking over at Jasminefur with an unreadable expression before pulling herself up and nudging him. "C'mon. Twistedpath will likely run us out of here soon, anyways. Lets give the medicine cats some space to work on her. She'll let you know when you can check in on her."
