( Sand Nice! I'll add them to the front page c: Was there anything else you think we should go over? ) ( there's only one thing I could think of which was if or when they'll run into the thing that's threatening their clans. I think that could be figured out later, but I'm curious if you had any ideas? )

Heatherpool sat near the entrance of Brookstar's den that was currently rather crowded as last minute plans were being discussed. The young warrior had her tail wrapped neatly around her paws, her ears were pricked forward and her blue eyes focused on those who were speaking. She was, by all means, attentively listening. But there were quite a few cats to focus on. Brookstar took up the spot in her nest, sitting tensely. Besides her, her mate, Bassflight, and her deputy, Laketalon, sat on either side of the leader. Closest to Heatherpool was Honeylight, Brookstar's daughter and the chosen cat to become mates with the ShadowClan cat. Off handedly, the warrior wondered how such a thing could work. The mateship was needed in order to bring back peace between the two clans but finer details had yet to be discussed. Such as which cat would give up their clan to live with the other. However, Heatherpool had a feeling that the lack of discussion was due to the clans being worried that their plan wouldn't work out.
"Are you sure about this? We could take ShadowClan!" Honeylight grumbled. The she-cat was clearly displeased about the situation but Heatherpool had noticed that she also refused to simply disagree to the arrangement.
"No. I am not." Brookstar sighed in response to her daughter. "But we must try. Leaf bare is already difficult without having to worry about battles. It is what is best for our clan." As Honeylight rolled her eyes in response, Brookstar's gaze shifted over to Heatherpool. "The ShadowClan cat will be arriving to our camp shortly. Though I have spoken with Snowstar, one can never be too careful so I entrust you, Heatherpool, to act as this stranger's guard. It'll be your duty to make sure he isn't here to spy on us or hurt anyone. Especially my daughter. And you will report back to me if anything alarming comes up."
Heatherpool dipped her head respectfully, feeling a bit of excitement rush over her at the special task she was given. Being the only cat chosen for the job made her feel all the more proud to accept it and she would treat it with the utmost seriousness. "Of course, Brookstar." she agreed eagerly. Brookstar eyed her for a moment before nodding her head approvingly and rising to her paws. "This meeting is dismissed then. The ShadowClan cat will be arriving shortly, so both of you stay in camp." The leader added sternly to Honeylight and Heatherpool.
(Sand I'm kinda leaning towards wolves myself lol but we can always discuss it more as we go!

Ebonywhisker's gaze was fixed down on his paws as he padded through the beginnings of the Riverclan territory. At his left side, his mother, Snowstar, was staring down at him as she awaited an answer to her question. On his right side, his sister Tawnystripe and his brother Flamestrike padded in sync with him, though neither of them seemed eager to look at anything other than the path ahead.
"Of course he does, mother. I assure you that it is all he has been thinking about," Tawnystripe responded in his place, trying to back their mother off a little. All four of them knew why Ebonywhisker was selected; he was the least favorite, had done the least to win the favor of their mother, and so he was the one being sent as a hostage. Tawnystripe had been surprised how quickly Snowstar had agreed to meet in the Riverclan camp, but after a quiet, dark conversation alone with Ebonywhisker, she realized that Snowstar was just happy to get him out of her sight.
Snowstar was quiet for a moments, before she turned her head to look back at the path ahead. "Good. You'd better understand what this means for us. If you fail, our war will continue, and neither of our clans will outlast this winter. You are to obey the every command of Brookstar, and to do whatever is necessary to please his daughter."
Ebonywhisker nodded absentmindedly, not knowing his mother was no longer staring down at him. He felt a claw of warmth in his heart when his sister tried to pull the pressure off of him a little, but it was drowned in a storm of snow as his mother continued to put on the pressure.
The four of them remained silent for the rest of the way, before arriving to the entrance of the camp. Snowstar was the first to enter, firmly yet unaggressively announcing their arrival, before Ebonywhisker followed behind her, and then his siblings entered.
"Brookstar." Snowstar nodded slightly in acknowledgement of the leader across the camp, a brisk greeting that was unsurprising given how much they had been fighting. Gazing around she could easily spot at least two cats who she had wounded in battle, and one who had given her a mean shoulder scratch as well.
"Allow me to announce my son to you." Ebonywhisker's gaze shuffled up from the floor up towards the leader's den where several faces were watching. Snowstar mentioned his name, given how unnoticeable he was among the ranks of Shadowclan's strong, before starting to pad towards the leader's den with her litter in tow. "Shall we begin discussing?"

Sweetshadow - Territory's Edge - w/ aether 's Foxpounce Well, this was it. It was early dawn at the edge of BlazeClan's territory and the meeting spot of the two clans. Thanks to the rise of Ashstar as leader of FlameClan, the other two clans were forced into leaving the home they had known all their lives. It made Sweetshadow furious. The fluffy she-cat dug her claws into the ground in frustration, wishing they could have simply taken on FlameClan and their rogues. However, the risk wasn't worth it. Not to mention that Burnetstar wasn't the most courageous of leaders. While she respected him, she had also noticed his tendency to back out of conflict if the odds weren't overwhelmingly in his clan's favor. It was wise but Sweetshadow couldn't help but occasionally get annoyed at his pacifism. Perhaps the reason she was made deputy was to act as a counter balance to his tendency to act defensively rather than offensively.
"I can't believe we have to leave." Sweetshadow muttered as she looked over her all too familiar home as they waited for EmberClan to join them. It had been decided that the clans would leave together. There were safety in numbers after all. But, that didn't mean the deputy was thrilled about it. "I also can't believe we have to travel with those fox hearts." she added in a low grumble.
Burnetstar twitched his whiskers in amusement at his deputy's annoyance. "No part of this is ideal but they are suffering like us." the old tom meowed with unshaken calmness. He seemed barely affected by the fact that he would be leaving behind his home. The only sign of sadness laid deep in his light green eyes. "And it'll be good to have the combined strengths of both clans. This journey into the unknown surely won't be an easy one."
"I guess." Sweetshadow gave in with a reluctant sigh. The stress of leaving had the she-cat more irritable than usual. Her green eyes glanced over their surroundings with impatience. "Although if they take much longer to get here I say we just leave without them."
(Hope you don't mind but I just made up the evil cat as well as the third clan. Feel free to change or add anything though!)
Heatherpool - RiverClan Camp - w/ Shadowkit 's Ebonywhisker Almost as soon as Brookstar had dismissed the meeting, the ShadowClan cats had entered their camp. The group stood outside their leader's den eying their visitors with unmasked interest. As Snowstar introduced Ebonywhisker, Heatherpool's gaze shifted onto him, eying the tom curiously. He didn't seem like much when compared to the strong cats around him but the she-cat still wondered what he was capable of as well as what type of cat he was. She also found herself sizing him up. Should he try anything to hurt her clan, it would be her duty to deal with him. While fighting odds suggested she would win, she was also clever enough to know that one couldn't measure an enemy on physical strength alone. Until she got a better feel of who exactly this Ebonywhisker was, she would have to remain on high alert.
"Welcome." Brookstar greeted the group with a polite nod to Snowstar. The brown tabby nodded her head as Snowstar suggested they begin discussing. "Of course. Come right in." she meowed, stepping aside to let the ShadowClan cats enter her den. Her gaze flickered over her own cats, noticing Bassflight and Laketalon still hovering nearby. "You two can wait out here... Honeylight come with me." The leader was just about to dip back into her den when her icy gaze danced over to Heatherpool. "You too, Heatherpool."
The warrior blinked and quickly jumped back up to her paws to follow Brookstar back into her den. Despite the invitation, Heatherpool was well aware that her leader had merely wanted her around so she could officially assign Ebonywhisker to her care. Still, witnessing a private meeting between two rival leaders would be interesting to watch. The cream colored warrior moved to sit down towards the back of the group, knowing her involvement wasn't truly needed for this part and merely got comfortable as she prepared to listen to the leaders hash out the details.
Brookstar took a seat at her nest and calmly looked across the den to meet the gaze of Snowstar. "I'm glad we will finally be working something out for this leafbare." she told the rival leader with rigid politeness. It was clear that some tension was still being held between the two. Brookstar flickered her gaze onto her daughter and gestured towards her. "This is my daughter, Honeylight, who has agreed to take part in this arrangement. Now then, where would you like to begin Snowstar?"
(Sand Ok cool! And I'm thinking we can start at the beginning of a fight? Perhaps it was a border skirmish that started due to an argument over the prophecy?)

Snowstar again took the leader towards the front of Brookstar's den with Ebonywhisker and his siblings in tow. Once they reached the front of the den, Snowstar turned and, following with Brookstar's decision, ordered Tawnystripe and Flamestrike to remain out of the den. There may have been safety in numbers inside of the leader's den, but if they had come this far to have Brookstar suddenly turn on them, they were all doomed anyways.Flamestrike settled down outside of the den with a clear line of sight to his mother, clearly preparing for the worst of potential results. His cold, blue eyes drifted around the gathered cats until he could quietly hear the beginnings of conversation from within the den. His gaze drifted between the three Riverclan who were inside of the den. He had never seen the daughter of the leader for very long, but seeing Honeylight near her mother, Flamestrike's mouth dropped agape at how gorgeous the warrior was. Ebonywhisker had to marry that?!? Where in Starclan was his angelic she-cat to mate with? Even if he didn't want to live with these fox-hearts, it was not at all fair that Ebonywhisker was being 'forced' to be with Honeylight. She was monster-lengths above that excuse for a warrior.
Ebonywhisker quietly greeted the leader with a dip of his head as he entered Brookstar's den, settling down beside his mother, and finally casting his gaze towards Honeylight as she was introduced to them formally. His mother's words bounced around the back of his head, and he forced a smile onto his face as he looked directly across from him at the cat he was soon to be committed to forever. He searched her yellow eyes, trying to find some sign of what her feelings were in all of this as Brookstar noted she had agreed to this arrangement.
The warrior's gaze then drifted to Heatherpool, who he didn't recognize very well. Brookstar doesn't have another daughter, does she? He couldn't remember well enough, and it had seemed when this arrangement was being made that there wasn't a choice of who he would be committed to. Still, he dipped his head to Heatherpool before glancing back to Honeylight.
Snowstar sized up Honeylight for a few long seconds, gazing her up and down, before finishing her evaluation and nodding with approval as her gaze, blank of discernible emotion, returned to Brookstar. "Well, perhaps we should begin with agreeing upon what behaviors must cease as we make this agreement. As I understand it, there have been warriors on both sides who have taken it upon themselves to hunt without respect to borders. I suggest we both firmly warn our warriors that there will be zero tolerance for this."
"I would also suggest that we agree upon a reasonable amount of time to reconvene, and evaluate how this arrangement is functioning." She cast a glance to Ebonywhisker at her side, who seemed to be staring stupidly at Honeylight like a kit fascinated by a strong warrior. "There is also the matter of who will be remaining where." She pointed out the obvious matter last. She was ready to drop her son into their paws, but she expected to get something for it.

Heatherpool & Honeylight - Leader's Den - w/ Shadowkit 's Ebonywhisker Heatherpool tilted her head slightly as Ebonywhisker dipped his head to her. The gesture was small but the she-cat was a bit surprised to get any acknowledgment. So far, she had felt like a mere fly on the wall with both her lack of involvement in the actual meeting as well as how the ShadowClan cats seemed to barely even glance in her direction. Her whiskers twitched in mild amusement and she dipped her head to the tom in return. However, her focus was quickly drawn back over to the leaders as Snowstar kicked off the meeting. Brookstar gave a stiff nod at the ShadowClan leader's words about respecting borders. Clearly, she was holding back accusations but dare not say anything to risk the peace they were trying to establish.
"Of course. The borders must be enforced and respected." Brookstar meowed, swallowing her pettiness to agree with Snowstar. As she brought up the matter of where the two cats would remain, she nodded her head and opened her mouth to speak but didn't get a chance to as Honeylight suddenly chimed in.
"I have agreed to this but I will remain in RiverClan. That isn't up for debate." Honeylight stated with narrowed eyes. The she-cat had been silently eying over the ShadowClan cats, sizing them up in every way and plotting against this meeting. Ebonywhisker hadn't impressed her in the slightest. In fact, it hardly seemed like a fair trade. Sure he might be the son of Snowstar but as far as being a warrior, he seemed to be the weakest one amongst them! Honeylight, proud and conceited, found this arrangement rather insulting. If she was forced to go through with it, she had no plans of moving to ShadowClan.
Heatherpool eyed her clanmate with mild surprise at the conviction that laid in Honeylight's voice. Clearly this wasn't a matter that was up for debate for her. Her dark blue eyes swept over to Brookstar, curious how her leader would respond. Brookstar didn't seem pleased with her daughter's outburst as her ears flickered back for a brief second before recovering. The tabby turned her head to look over to Snowstar. "I agree that my daughter should remain in RiverClan rather than traveling to ShadowClan." she paused and twitched the tip of her tail. "I understand this means ShadowClan will lose a warrior through this so in exchange I will offer that any prey he or my daughter catches during this trial period will be given to your clan rather than added to our freshkill pile." Brookstar shifted her gaze onto Ebonywhisker. "Should we find that this arrangement is working properly, I will also grant him the right to visit your clan every half moon, if he so desires. Do you find these terms agreeable?"

The full weight of Snowstar's glare fixated upon honeylight as she claimed the way this arrangement would be going, as anger sparked up within the leader at the arrogance of Brookstar's daughter. Though she cared little for sending her son away, this outburst indicated the she-cat might be extremely defiant and hard to please, and she knew that that would be setting Ebonywhisker for an extremely difficult task. She felt extremely aware of the gazes of her other two kits behind her, staring into Honeylight as intensely as she was at the audible outburst. It took every hair-length of the leader's composure not to insult the leader's daughter to her face; perhaps this were obvious given the long silence that Snowstar was taking to compose herself.
Ebonywhisker flinched as the first words he heard from his soon-to-be mate's mouth were a denial of negotiating who went where. He had already been expecting to stay here, much as Snowstar had, but to hear a total lack of compromise from Honeylight felt like setting him up for an unwinnable dilemma, as far as pleasing the she-cat went.
His gaze lifted from his flinch as Brookstar began speaking again, voicing a careful agreement to her daughter, before adding some counterbalances. He blinked without much reaction at the offer of prey; sure, Shadowclan could use a little bit of extra catches. But what did that mean for him? Surely Riverclan would not be thrilled to feed him when they were giving prey away to Shadowclan...
His eyes brightened though, as Brookstar offered that were things to be working well, he should be given the right to visit his home. It was only every half-moon, but that was better than the 'never' he was expecting.
Snowstar listened attentively as the leader provided some conditions that might sweeten the deal for her clan. Tawnystripe's private argument from the night before stuck clearly in her mind; her daughter had yowled her ear off about sending Ebonywhisker away and had fought her mother until she finally conceded to work some condition that she could see her brother. Thus, she was surprised, yet not disappointed when Brookstar herself brought up visiting rights. It would please Tawnystripe and she didn't even have to fight that hard for the condition. As long as Ebonywhisker didn't mess it up as he always managed to.
Still, Snowstar would not let any of her emotions display on her face for fear of giving away any hint that she liked the conditions. Musing to herself a few moments more, she made the slightest effort to stick her neck out for her son. "There is one more thing," She cleared her throat and lowered her voice to ensure the outsiders could not listen in. "His sister is...unhappy with this arrangement. She has too much of a soft spot for him, so...Tawnystripe wants to meet with Honeylight occasionally. To meet her, and to assess how she is doing with Ebonywhisker. Think of it like one more positive interaction between our clans. And it would keep her from doing anything...rash." Snowstar sent a sly glare at Honeylight as she spoke the word, full of intent.
She rolled her shoulders as she saw from the peripheral of her vision Ebonywhisker turning to look at her with some surprise breaking through his dreary demeanor. "With that, and the conditions you have mentioned...I could accept leaving Ebonywhisker with Riverclan."

Heatherpool & Honeylight - Leader's Den - w/ Shadowkit 's Ebonywhisker Brookstar narrowed her eyes slightly as Snowstar added yet another term to her deal. The words clearly didn't settle well with the RiverClan leader, disliking the slight warning towards her daughter from the rival leader. It took every ounce of patience from her not to let out a protective growl at Snowstar and instead the only sign of aggression laid in her lashing tail. "If this must be apart of the agreement," she began with a hint of sourness. "I will not allow my daughter to be assessed alone with a cat capable of acting rashly because of this arrangement. If Tawnystripe is to meet her, it will be at the border with neither allowed to cross into the other clan's territory." Brookstar's gaze flickered over to Heatherpool and she straightened her posture ever so slightly.
"And Honeylight will be accompanied by my warrior, Heatherpool." she added with a nod towards the cream colored she-cat. "I suppose now is as good a time as any to introduce her. As I'm sure you're aware, not everyone is pleased with this arrangement so I have assigned Heatherpool to act as both escort and guardian to Ebonywhisker during his stay in RiverClan. She is a respectable warrior that I'm sure will help see that this arrangement runs smoothly." Brookstar explained.
Heatherpool, finally being addressed, dipped her head respectfully to the ShadowClan cats. "I will help your son settle into the clan with Honeylight's help. I'm grateful to have the opportunity to help both our clans reach a peace during this leaf bare." she meowed with the utmost politeness to the ShadowClan leader. Her gaze shifted onto Ebonywhisker, still unsure what to make of him. The warrior could only offer a small, formal smile. "Pleased to be working with you." she added to the tom.
Off to the side, however, Honeylight rolled her eyes, annoyed by Heatherpool's compliant attitude. This whole arrangement was ridiculous. Her mother was giving far too much to a clan that was hardly giving them a worthy warrior. Honeylight eyed Ebonywhisker again with less than friendly eyes before looking elsewhere. She only agreed to the arrangement in hopes to by time to find a better solution to dealing with ShadowClan.
Brookstar ignored her daughter's irritableness and instead focused her piercing gaze back onto Snowstar. "So have we reached an agreement?"

Snowstar could feel the irritation coming from Brookstar at the extra condition. It was matched by Snowstar as the Riverclan leader came back with a counter-condition which left Tawnystripe in a potentially dangerous situation. If they decided that this arrangement wasn't going to work, they could easily overpower and take her daughter hostage. Tawnystripe being taken hostage would be a real issue. Still, Brookstar was already irritated and Snowstar knew she could not push any further. Ebonywhisker and Snowstar's attention both turned back to Heatherpool as she was formally introduced to them. Their minds were as one as they listened to Brookstar; this was the cat meant to keep Ebonywhisker in line. Ebonywhisker truly felt the weight of this situation drop onto his shoulders, as he both processed that he would truly be remaining here, and that he was little more than a prisoner, laid at the paws of Honeylight for the peace of the clans with her clanmates surrounding to judge him for the sins of the battles between the two clans. And there was a guard assigned to him, no less. He bit his lip as the warrior promised to help him settle well, looking back down towards the ground in front of him. At least she...sounded pleasant enough, unlike Honeylight. But that could easily dissipate as soon as his family were out of the camp.Snowstar listened to the warrior assigned as Ebonywhisker's warden. Heatherpool. Hmm...at least you seem to understand a shred of diplomacy. She inhaled a breath and turned back to Snowstar after nodding slightly at Heatherpool. "Very well." She exhaled slowly and quietly. "If she is assigned to him, then I suppose her speaking with my daughter isn't an issue. Very well." She repeated her affirmation with a larger nod. "I agree to the terms."
Ebonywhisker's gaze darkened as his mother agreed to leave him here without issue. It was foolish, really, to expect a massive change of heart from his mother at any point in his life. She had made clear how much of a disappointment he was and that there wasn't really recourse to fix that. But something like this...sending him away for the rest of his life...it was a step that he had needed days to handle and grapple with. Flamestrike, the light of Snowstar's eyes, held no lament in his heart either, being that he was everything Ebonywhisker failed to be to their mother. At the minimum, he could feel the tiniest drop of relief that he would at least get to see his sister, but it was like a drop of water into a fire consuming the whole camp inside his heart.

Heatherpool & Honeylight - RiverClan Camp - w/ Shadowkit 's Ebonywhisker Brookstar was pleased to say the least as Snowstar agreed to the terms. Her irritation dissipated and the leader's gaze relaxed once more. "Wonderful. I'm glad we were able to reach an agreement on this." she meowed elegantly. Rising to her paws, the RiverClan leader took a step towards the exit. "If you and your family wish to have a moment to say goodbye, I understand. Feel free to use my den. In the meantime, I'll go gather a couple warriors to escort the rest of you back to your territory." With a concise swipe of her tail, she motioned for Heatherpool and Honeylight to follow her out of the den, allowing for the ShadowClan cats to momentarily use it.
Once the trio passed the other two that lingered beyond the den's walls, Honeylight turned to her mother with a narrowed gaze. "Don't you think you're being a little too lenient with this arrangement? I shouldn't have to give my prey to those crowfood eaters." she hissed under her breath. The leader's daughter had clearly been holding back during the meeting even despite her outburst. Her tail lashed from side to side as she eyed her mother with upset. "Also did you see him! He should hardly be considered a warrior."
Brookstar gave her daughter a stern look. "Honeylight enough. My decisions are final. You agreed to this and you will make this arrangement work. No cat here expects you to be in love with the tom, just put up with him for the sake of our clan." she instructed fiercely. The only thing that was able to douse Honeylight's hot temperedness was the iciness of her mother. The young warrior shrank slightly and then nodded her head. Her eyes gave away her annoyance but it seemed that for now, the leader's daughter would accept her fate.
The tabby leader let out a huff of air and then flickered her gaze over to Heatherpool. "When they are done in there, I will leave him in your care, Heatherpool. Show him around camp and help him settle in. I'm sure some cats will cause a fuss. If it gets out of hand, direct them to me or Laketalon." she ordered. Heatherpool nodded her head in understanding, taking her job rather seriously. Though she still needed to get a better understanding of who Ebonywhisker was, she knew it was just as much her duty to make sure her clanmates didn't cause for the peace arrangement to be destroyed. Frustrated cats like Coyoteleap, Mistfur and even Honeylight's brother, Burnetclaw would like jump at the chance to target the lone ShadowClan cat.
Heatherpool watched as Brookstar nodded approvingly and then trotted off to gather a couple nearby warriors to escort the ShadowClan cats. The cream colored warrior moved to sit down to wait for Ebonywhisker when she noticed Honeylight beginning to stalk off towards the warrior's den. "Honeylight... Shouldn't you stick with me to get to know this tom better?" she questioned with a small frown. Her words didn't land very well with Honeylight who shot her clanmate a glare over her shoulder.
"Who are you my mother? I've had enough of this for one day. I'll try and put up with him tomorrow." she snorted before coldly turning away and stalking off to her nest in the warrior's den. Heatherpool, now left alone to wait, let out a long sigh and swept her gaze back to the leader's den, waiting for Ebonywhisker to emerge from it..

Silverstar - River Border - w/ Sand 's Finchstar Ever since the prophecy had been foretold, Silverstar was certain that NightClan was meant to be the only clan standing. They believe they were the clan closest to StarClan and the only ones to have unwavering faith. Surely StarClan would favor them over AlderClan. Of course that vision wasn't one that was shared between the two clans. With tensions running high, she had begun patrolling the border more often, wanting to display the strength of NightClan and also convince AlderClan of their errors. Unfortunately there had been very little progress made. Instead, it seemed fights were breaking out every time a patrol crossed paths. And today was no different.
All it took was one swipe of frustration from the reactive Wolfstorm to send the patrol into a skirmish. Silverstar pulled her lips back into a snarl as the two rival patrols suddenly clashed at the border. It had not been under her orders but she wasn't willing to back down now. "You foxhearts! You don't stand a chance against us! StarClan stands with us and us alone!" she roared as she lunged to aid Ryelight, who was tangled up in battle with one of the AlderClan warriors. She bit down on the warrior's shoulder, causing him to yowl in pain and Ryelight a chance for escape from his grasp. Silverstar jumped away from the enemy warrior's claw as he swiped at her.
As she dodged, a certain cat caught her gaze. From a distance, she spotted Finchstar. Since he was the leader of the other clan, she felt a more personal grudge towards him than any other AlderClan cat so it was only natural for her to wish to take on her rival in battle. Breaking away from the others, she charged towards the other leader and lunged forward to rake her claws across his muzzle.

Snowstar took in and released another breath as Brookstar rose and acknowledged the agreemenet of their peace accord. She straightened up herself. She nodded in acknowledgement to the other leader before turning to look at Ebonywhisker, who didn't even look up from the ground as the Riverclan cats filtered out of the den. She watched him in an unmoving silence for awhile. Both her other kits had risen, at the mouth of the den once the peace talks seemed to end, but neither entered as Ebonywhisker and Snowstar seemed frozen in time at the moment.
The mother took the longest breath she had in moons, releasing it with a loud, slow exhale that began tickling Ebonywhisker's ear as his mother drew a step closer, leaning down close to his ear. She began speaking, a gentle whisper in her voice that was uncharacteristic of her. "You can do a great thing for our clan. Your sacrifice is for the preservation of all of us." It was a strange change of tone from her constantly ice-cold, unloving attitude towards him. They were almost words of praise. "You cannot disappoint me this time." Snowstar re-froze the slight crack she had shown, and then, in an unprecedented gesture, she gave a couple licks to settle the fur on top of his head. She spoke up, louder now. "I'll send Tawnystripe in."
Flamestrike quickly pressed down some of the stray fur on his chest as the Riverclan cats began exiting the den, his eyes fixated on Honeylight as she trotted out of the den, noticeably and considerably irritated by all of this; yet Flamestrike paid it no attention as he simply tried to get her attention with an elegant stretch to demonstrate his musculature and definition, before flashing a smile at the she-cat. He grunted with frustration, though, as the she-cat's attention was completely elsewhere, trotting off and seeming to exchange some terse words with Brookstar before setting off entirely. Shaking his head at how lucky Ebonywhisker was, he returned to attention as he heard Snowstar approaching.
After sending Tawnystripe in, Snowstar motioned for them to descend, and they left Tawnystripe and Ebonywhisker inside. As they passed Heatherpool, Snowstar halted for a moment in front of the guard to her son. "My son will not maliciously jeopardize this accord. He understands the importance of this to all of our families and clanmates. I expect you will ensure that no one else does so, either." It wasn't a question or a request, more reminiscent of a cold demand. She paused and awaited a response before nodding a farewell, descending after her other son.
Ebonywhisker was very suddenly filled with even more conflict as his mother delivered a host of conflicting messages in her words and her actions. Something almost akin to praise from the coldest cat he knew, followed by the usual that he heard from her, and to top it off...a sign of physical...could it even be called affection?
He was stirring in his thoughts until Tawnystripe approached and was pressing cheek against his and wrapping her tail over his pelt. They were silent as Tawnystripe settled down beside him for whatever brief time they had here. While she pulled in a quiet breath, leaning against him, Ebonywhisker relaxed just the slightest bit. He leaned in close to his sister after she did, and he heard the quietest, almost pitying purr as they shared a moment with each other.
"You're going to make it through this," Tawnystripe quietly murmured, though there was a note of frustration that was betrayed in her words. She knew it, but she continued nonetheless. "Just watch your back, and keep your cool head on as always, and just don't...don't let them goad you into making a mistake. I'm sure someone will try. Just..." She was spouting advice, ready to keep telling him what he had to do to make it through this, but he pulled away a bit and turned his head to look at her.
Ebonywhisker buried his muzzle in his sister's shoulder, fighting back tears as she tried, as always, to alleviate whatever was torturing him in the moment. Nothing was going to help right now, and he believed she knew that, but she wanted to try anyways. That was who Tawnystripe was, and that she loved him when it seemed none of the rest of their family did...
How will I make it without you?
As she stopped speaking and simply tilted her head to rest upon his, Ebonywhisker took until Tawnystripe lifted her head, about half a minute, and quietly said that they were being waited for outside. He hated being told that they needed to let go of each other and leave the den, but duty was awaiting both of them outside. Sighing wistfully, he began approaching the exit of the den with his sister, before she stopped and turned back to face him before they left the den.
"What they think, it...it doesn't matter to me. I love you, Ebonywhisker, and I'll miss you, and I'll be thinking about you. Every day." She felt like tears were trying to force their way out of her, and she had to fight them back as she spoke aloud, knowing their mother and brother had descended from the den's entrance and away from them.
Ebonywhisker sucked in a breath as Tawnystripe pressed directly at his heart with her words, and he had to lift his gaze above both of them to fight back tears from exiting his eyes. Pulling in and releasing a couple breaths, he brought his gaze back down to her when he thought he had himself under control. "I love you too, and we...we'll see each other again." He knew she hadn't heard the full terms yet, but he knew with certainty they would see each other again, and he could see her react particularly to him saying this. Wanting to say more, but knowing this wasn't the place and that they didn't have the time, Ebonywhisker sighed, gently brushing her pelt with his tail and finally stepping out of the den with his sister close behind.

Snowstar approached Brookstar one last time before they headed out with the escort of warriors. "Allow me to thank you for being amenable to these peace talks. May Starclan let it last beyond the leaf-bare," She spoke the formalities first, then moved on. "Shall our daughters meet on the border a quarter-moon from now?" From over her shoulder, Tawnystripe perked up with surprise at her mother's words, having not heard of anything like this before now, but she listened without speaking nonetheless. "I assume Honeylight will require time to adjust to this before meeting with another Shadowclan warrior." It would also likely be taxing on the patience of the Riverclan cats to ask that there was a meeting two days from now.
Ebonywhisker didn't acknowledge Heatherpool for a time, less out of malice and more from sadness as he watched his sister descend from the leader's den without looking back to him. Biting his lip and staring after the one cat who he knew would openly lament his absence, he had to force himself to refocus as Heatherpool awaited his response.
When his gaze returned to her, it held the same sadness as before, but he was stiffening up as he prepared to speak with and be guided by the cat who was essentially holding him prisoner. "Hi." He quietly murmured, his word lacking any sort of emotion. He listened as she explained what they would be doing and offered him a meal if he needed it. "I'm not hungry." He quietly responded. How could he eat right now? Sure, his insides felt empty and void, but it wasn't from hunger.
"Okay. Umm...where to...first?" He spoke softly, like even asking a question might sound too demanding, given his inferior position in this situation.

Heatherpool & Brookstar - RiverClan Camp - w/ Shadowkit 's Ebonywhisker Brookstar dipped her head to the ShadowClan leader. "May it last." she meowed with formal agreement. As the leader went on to ask about the meeting between their daughters, the RiverClan leader paused before nodding her head in confirmation. "Yes. A quarter moon sounds best for us all." she murmured. By then, hopefully Honeylight would be more open to accepting Ebonywhisker as her mate then as well. At least the RiverClan leader hoped so.
Heatherpool eyed the heartbroken tom. She wasn't sure what she had expected from the son of Snowstar but it certainly wasn't this. His spirit seemed broken by this arrangement and it honestly threw off the RiverClan warrior. It was a far leap from the way Honeylight was reacting to it all, the fiery she-cat was much different than her ShadowClan suitor whom already seemed absorbed in his sadness over leaving behind his home. Despite having been so formal through the whole exchange, her icy blue eyes softened ever so slightly, feeling sympathy for the tom forced to leave behind his clan and family. As he agreed and softly questioned her, the warrior shuffled her paws.
"Well..." she paused. Her original idea was to go straight to the warrior's den to get a nest set up for him. However, that suddenly didn't seem like the best option for the wallowing tom. It would likely have a cat or two that was less than thrilled about seeing him, and that included his mate-to-be Honeylight. After second guessing herself, she decided on a different approach. "let's go over what dens are what first and then after that, I'll show you a bit of the territory." she decided with a shrug. Heatherpool turned to step towards the middle of camp before pausing to glance over her shoulder at the tom. "But if you'd like to do or see something else, just tell me."

Ebonywhisker was mainly focused on what was going on within himself, but it didn't keep him completely from noticing what was outside of his feelings, one of those things being how Heatherpool seemed to be reacting to him. It read to him like some sort of pity that was possible due to being a member of the clan holding him in their paws, which didn't make him feel too much better. Well...I guess pitying me is better than clawing my eyes out for being a member of Shadowclan. His gaze dropped to the floor for a moment, then back up to her. A former member, now. He didn't quite understand why she offered him the chance to see something else, being that he wouldn't know any of the camp or territory, but he still gave a simple nod and began following after his escort as she moved closer to the center of the camp. He watched as his mother nodded and said something quietly to Brookstar, before she departed the Shadowclan camp with his siblings, and a Riverclan escort, in tow. They were gone now. And he was here to stay.
He averted his gaze too quickly to see his sister very briefly look back to him after Snowstar and Flamestrike had left. "Lead on," He mumbled quietly to Heatherpool as they continued moving forward. He didn't hold any bitterness towards the cat assigned to guard him. Really, it was an expected measure. But it was hard to accept that he was being left here and moments after he needed to be following this cat monitoring him learning the whole Riverclan territory.
