Character Biographies: Males Honeyfur Rank β³ Medicine Cat Sexuality β³ Asexual Appearance β³ Honeyfur's physique is on the smaller side for a tom, although his plumpness makes him appear twice his size, as well as his coat. Due to his breed-a Persian-he has a load of thick fur, a golden ginger of hue. He is patterned with darker ginger mackerel tabby markings, as well as creamier highlights. He has the typical smooshed face of his breed and warm amber eyes. Personality β³ Honeyfur personality seems to be a unique mix of overprotective mother and disapproving grandfather. He's almost painfully maternal, fussing after all of his clanmates like they're kits. He'll tend obsessively to the smallest of injuries, always make sure that those around him have had enough to eat, are warm enough, perfectly comfortable, etc, etc. Honeyfur is a homebody who wouldn't be caught doing anything that could even be vaguely described as "risky" or "dangerous". In fact, he's always the one advising against such behaviors, although he's rarely listened to. His cautious nature stems from the fact he has a blood clotting disorder, hemophilia, which makes minor injuries deadly. He prefers the safety of home, with all four paws flat on the ground, thank you very much. Despite being so maternal, he doesn't really have much of a bedside manner--he'll likely be caught fussing over his clanmates while pestering them with insults. However, it's just how he gets his frustration out, and he truly does care deeply for all creatures he comes into contact with. The tom began life as a kittypet, but was lured out away to live with a group of barn cats, where he began to learn about medicine. He joined clan life in his later years, enticed by the clans tight-knit, family like community after the death of his old friends at the barn. He has a strange accent from his past.Grizzlyclaw Rank β³ Senior Warrior Sexuality β³ Heterosexual Appearance β³ Grizzlystar, even by Mountainclan standards, could easily be considered a huge tom-he is an intimidating sight, not only massively built but also well-muscled and heavily scarred, especially on his face. Although grayed and worn by age, Grizzlystar still exudes a commanding authority, whose power one could only imagine in his youth. His coat, now duller than it once was, is a rich dark brown in color, patterned by tabby stripes. His is betrayed by his age in the grey fur that peppers his face and muzzle, however, his eyes, bright yellow in color, could fool one into believing him the fierce young warrior he was in his prime. Personality β³ Akin to the tom's eyes, his personality remains much the same as it was moons ago. The tom has a strong personality. He is fiercely protective of his clan and makes sacrifices for it regularly, including each life he has lost thus far. Grizzlystar may be seen as too violent or warlike for some, as he is the type who would rather be safe than sorry, to take action first and ask questions later. He is a firm believer in doing what is right over what is easy and the good of many over the good of one. This may make him come across as callous or cold, and not every Mountainclan cat always agrees with his decisions. He is quick to anger, but not quick to show it, and you will not know that you have crossed him until it is too late. While brash, Grizzlystar is a tom that would do everything in his power for his clan and would put himself in front of any threat before he let it harm his clanmates. This attitude, however, does not extend past the blood ties of Mountainclan, and outsiders are often met with tooth and claw.Twistedfoot Rank β³ Senior Warrior Sexuality β³ Heterosexual Appearance β³ Twistedfoot could easily be considered a huge tom-an intimidating sight, he is not only massively built, but heavily muscled. The tom's coat is thick and soft, completely white in color and a set of piercing yellow eyes sit in what could have been a handsome face if his expression didn't always appear so worn. His paws rival even the rest of his body in size, appearing almost too large for him. Personality β³ Twistedfoot earned his name for an injury received in his early apprenticeship. Formally Whitepaw, Twistedfoot had been dared by his fellow apprentices to race his brother, Greypaw, to the top of a massive oak tree. The competitive brothers did yet suffered a fall after a branch broke off, taking both of the toms to the ground. Greypaw was crushed beneath the fallen branch and killed, while Twistedfoot broke his hind right leg and shattered his paw. The injured foot was so bad that it never healed properly, healing in an abnormal, twisted fashion that still hardly holds weight, yet hardly slows Twistedfoot down. His name was changed to Twistedpaw after his injury at his mother's request in her grief, to serve as a reminder of Twistedfoot's foolish mistake and its consequences. This anecdote says much about the tom's character. He is esteemed for his resilience-despite his injury and the loss of his brother at a young age, the tom has always been nothing other than a hard-worker and a dedicated warrior. He still blames himself for his brother's death and puts all of his energy into serving his clan as best he can to "make up for it". Yet as much as he cares for and is loyal to his clan, he isn't close to many of its members. Grief and guilt isolated him at a young age, and his serious demeanor can be a bit off-putting, as Twistedfoot is nothing short of stoic. He is a cat of few words and of a very curt and gruff demeanor on the occasion they are uttered. However, Twistedfoot it nothing but a warrior at heart. He is loyal to fault and willing to take orders or make sacrifices for his clanmates without question. Twistedfoot has resolved himself entirely to his clan, and wishes only to see it prosper. Boartusk Rank β³ Senior Warrior Sexuality β³ Heterosexual Appearance β³ Boartusk is an aptly named warrior. he's larger and bulky in size, with broad shoulders, thick limbs, and muscles toned from years of use. The tom's fur is a bit wiry, like a boars, and a dark brown in color. He has lighter brown highlights along his face and chest, and dark, mackerel tabby striping. Boartusk earned his warrior suffix for a slight underbite that makes his two bottom canines protrude from his mouth at all times. The canine on the on the left side if broken off halfway down the tooth. Personality β³ Boartusk has a grandfatherly attitude, although not the sweet, warm disposition you might expect. he's more of a grumpy, "get off of my lawn, you crazy kids" type of guy. His disposition if gruff and no-nonsense. Boartusk never had the time or the patience for those who'd rather play and goof around, as he has dedicated his life to hard-work and serving his spoiclan. His manners need some work and he can be especially short-tempered with kits and apprentices, but he means well. Boartusk believes that his hard attitude is what has made him a good warrior, and although he regrets the sacrifices in relationships he's made at times to serve his clan with no mate or kits, he wouldn't change the path he chose.
Moosepelt Rank β³ Warrior Sexuality β³ Heterosexual Appearance β³ Bearing a strong resemblance to his father, Moosepelt matches his father's enormous size. He's stockily built and well-muscled, with a fluffy coat that only adds to his size. His fur is a lighter shade of brown with darker tabby marking and a large white splash underneath his chin and down his chest. Moosepelt's ears are tufted with sprigs of black fur and he has long, plentiful white whiskers as well as green eyes. Personality β³ While similar to his father in appearance, they differ much more in personality. Moosepelt always felt like he had large pawprints to fill being the son of Grizzlystar. He felt an immense pressure to preform well as an apprentice and was obsessively dedicated to his warrior training--he is still known to work hard as a grown warrior, however he's much more confident and relaxed now that he's older. While he's incredibly dedicated and loyal to his clan, Moosepelt is surprisingly easy-going. He's a natural born leader, although he lacks ambition, and has no desire for leadership or powerful positions. Moosepelt instead often falls into a paternal relationship with many of the younger kits and apprentices, enjoying befriending them and taking the role of "cool uncle".
Hickorybreeze Rank β³ Young Warrior Sexuality β³ Heterosexual Appearance β³ A rather handsome young tom, you'd never guess how bedraggled this young warrior was as a kit, his fur a consistently an impossibly tangled mess that the warrior is thankful to have grown out of... mostly. The tom still has a very dense coat of ruddy brown fur, with occasional paler brown high-lights and thick, dark tabby striping along his flank. His eyes are a pale amber shade and the tom's ears are tattered from his frequent antics. though physically unassuming, Hickorybreeze is a strong and athletic warrior without being bulky. Personality β³ Confident and out-going, Hickorybreeze is a brave young cat, although depending on who you ask, some prefer the term "down-right idiot". He often crosses the line into cocky and reckless, his courage often bordering imprudence. He has always been eager to learn and quick to show off, although it's not always for the right reasons. he'll do anything on a dare or to protect his reputation as "coolest guy around" and he's keener on blazing his own trail than following orders. This arrogant streak causes him to butt heads with authority figures at times or get himself into unnecessary danger, but the tom has a big heart and cares for his clanmates deeply. He's incredibly loyal and makes a dedicated friend, always there to have your back or stand up for you, even if he knows you're in the wrong, and ever rooting for the underdog.
Fogdapple Rank β³ Young Warrior Sexuality β³ Bisexual Appearance β³ Fogdapple is a long-legged young tom with sharp and angular features to his physique. His ears stand tall and pointed while his eyes and muzzle are very narrow and thin. Fogdapple's fur is an ashen grey color, patterned by frequent black spots that give him his name. Three of his paws are entirely black, and he has a darker grey smudge along the blaze of his nose. His eyes are a dull gold and his nose is charcoal in color. Personality β³ As a young warrior, Fogdapple has yet to grow out of his apprentice phase... and many believe he never will. He is happy-go-lucky and has a hard time taking anything seriously. He was an apprentice much longer than he should have been, and many of his denmates received their warrior named before him, but this never bothered the tom. As a warrior, he's gotten a bit better, but frequently needs a nudge or some stern supervision to make sure he completes his duties. Fogdapple is incredibly chatty and loves to socialize with his clanmates and get involved in their business, often crossing the polite line into being downright nosy. It comes from a good place, however, as he has a good heart and cares deeply for his clan. When necessary, he can pull himself together to feed or defend his clanmates, but it takes a lot to get the severity of some situations through his naivety and blind optimism.
Shellwhisker Rank β³ Young Warrior Sexuality β³ Homosexual Appearance β³ Shellwhisker is svelte and athletic cat, a handsome young tom, although on the smaller side. He has vaguely Siamese features with an angular face, long neck and legs, and a set of little, oval-shaped paws. He has a silky fawn coat, oily, insulated, and adjusted to swimming, with dark seal point markings on his face, legs, tail, and back. He has a set of clear blue eyes, a black nose, and long, white whiskers. Personality β³ Shellwhsiker is a cat with a genuine heart of gold. The tom is generous and giving, always the first to lend a helping paw. He tries his best to always be there for his clanmates and help in any small way that he can. This is how he tries to keep himself busy and moving instead of stopping to dwell on the past. Shellwhisker tries his best to always see the silver lining and is a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. His favorite thing is to see others happy. He's typically animated and lively in hopes that his actions will make somebody smile. He's selfless and cares deeply for each of his clanmates. However, because Shellwhisker always puts others before himself, it can cost him at times, never putting himself first and having an impossible time saying "no". All in all, Shellwhisker is dedicated to, and essentially lives for, others.
Mossystone Rate β³ Young Warrior Sexuality β³ Heterosexual Physical β³ A rather unassuming tom, Mossystone looks are much more inviting than his personality. He has a long and feathery coat of ashy grey fur, broken by splashes of white on his chest, chin, and paws. His eyes are light green in color and the tom has a completely black nose, as well as plentiful white whiskers. Personality β³ Mossystone is, put lightly... a "bold personality". The tom is a natural and obnoxious flirt. He can commonly found talking the ear off of any she-cat around, regardless of whether they're interested or even listening. Mossystone carries a thick air of entitlement, finding himself quite deserving of whatever it is he desires, and he is inherently very selfish. Haughty and stuck-up, he considers himself better than others in nearly every way (which is very far from the truth) and isn't afraid that is shows. He's rude to his clanmates, typically only ever speaking in insults or sarcastic retorts when he's not flirting, and regularly caught bullying his fellow apprentices or even kits. For this reason, he butts heads with those who are in authority, and you'll often find him in trouble, where the tom only digs worse holes for himself.
Rabbitbounce Rank β³ Young Warrior Sexuality β³ Bisexual Appearance β³ Small and thin, Rabbitbounce is much suited to catch the prey of his namesake. Speed is definitely his strong suit as the tom lacks just about everywhere else. He has a coat of short, cream colored fur tinted with faint flame tabby points and a set of light blue eyes. He has Manx in his bloodline, thus inherited the bobbed tail which he was named after. Personality β³ Rabbitbounce didn't earn his warrior name for an exceptional hunting ability, nor a high energy level, but rather for just how darn jumpy his is. The tom is the type to quite literally be scared of his own shadow, skittish to an extreme and anxiety ridden by even normal, daily tasks. Rabbitbounce is high-strung, worrisome, and on top of it all insecure about his paranoia. He hates to feel like a coward, but just can't seem to get past it and can be very hard on himself because of it. He's apologetic to others, always feels like he's at fault for something, and takes any sort of criticism, teasing, or bullying very poorly and instantly to heart and cries often. Socially, Rabbitbounce tends to be awkward and uncomfortable around even cats he knows well, speaking softly and often times stuttering over his words. The tom has a good heart, but it can only make up for so much when he's too much of a wreck to show it. His role as a warrior is also suffers, his one, if not the only, redeeming quality being his speed and it's usefulness in hunting.

β³ Small and thin for her age, it may not be surprising that Blackriver chose a life as a medicine cat, however this wasn't what drove her to choose her path. she has a soft, downy coat of pitch black fur even her nose and paw pads a smoky black shade. Her eyes are bright orange in color. β³ Blackriver is known for being quite the know-it-all and a severe perfectionist. She has a very strong passion for her work as a medicine cat and strives to be better at it every day. This desire, however, can lead her to overwhelm herself at times and she always pushes herself too hard. she knows that lives depend on her abilities, especially in the sometimes severe climate of clanlife and her biggest fear is to lose a patient because she wasn't "good enough". She has a tendency to blame herself harshly for her failures, even when they are small or inevitable. She can come off as quite severe at times, being overbearing and easily flustered, but while she needs to work on her bedside manner, she is truly dedicated to the well-being of her clanmates. Internally she is incredibly sensitive to criticism and failure and tends to take things too personally. For this reason, she is known not to get too close to others or confide in them as she is afraid of appearing weak or like a bad medicine cat. However, she is a sweet and sensitive young cat who just pushes herself too hard. π Whitebird with Character Location Here - Roleplay text goes here. Roleplay text goes here. Roleplay text goes here. β³ With her delicate build and sleek musculature, Whitebird is a picture of grace, appearing almost liquid in her movements. The she-cat has a well-maintained and long-haired pure white coat. Her eyes are a light leaf green color. β³ Put simply, Whitebird is a cat who not only knows what she wants but also how to get it. She's a vain she-cat by nature, having been recognized for her beauty from a young age. The molly learned to use this to her advantage as she got older, refining herself into the sophisticated, charming warrior she is today. Whitebird oozes charisma in a manufactured way that comes naturally. She's sociable with her clanmates and an attentive conversationalist, turning that dial up to seduction and flirtatiousness where she deems it necessary or finds it fun. Her socialite persona, however, is largely a facade. Whitebird, truthfully, only cares about herself and finds the day-to-day within the clan trivial and boring. She believes herself to better than most, if not all, of her clanmates and holds no love for them. The silver-tongued persona she wears is her attempt to keep those around her "under her paw" so to speak. She can be incredibly manipulative and is the type to use others for her own personal gains. Although usually maintaining a cool demeanor, the she-cat is constantly chasing the high of power and thrives off of control. π Spottedfire with Character Location Here - Roleplay text goes here. β³ Although not at a size to compete with her father, Spottedfire is still a large warrior. She is a dilute calico cat, her coat a dappled mixture of muted oranges, greys, and whites and very fluffy in appearance. However, she isn't known to take care of her coat and it often becomes scraggly and matted. She has striking eyes, amber in color, and both of her ears are tattered from a skirmish she had with an eagle over a fish when she was younger. Spottedfire will tell you she won. β³ Spottedfire is a feisty cat, if her name wasn't any indication, with a razor-sharp tongue and a quick temper. She is one to jump paws first into action without prior thought, be that an argument or a fight, whichever she's in the mood for. Battle has always been second nature to her, thus her talents lie more in fighting technique than they do hunting. The calico is strongly family-oriented and is very defensive of her kin, so one would be smart to watch their tongue around her. Spottedfire is not one to keep quiet or sit down and you will always find her in the middle of the action, or making some if there isn't any. She's gruff and snarky and does not hesitate to speak her mind, whether that's with her tongue or her claws, and she has an immense distaste for whatever she considers "weakness".

Clan Life
β
About the Clan: Stoneclan warriors are talented climbers, helping them navigate their rugged territory. These cats are renowned for their heartiness as well as their intelligence--it requires innovation to survive in the mountains, after all. Outsiders are uncommon except for the occasional rogue and Stoneclan cats are naturally suspicious, holding strong to their own clan loyalties and traditions above all else. As Brackenstar's favorite quote goes, "Stoneclan stands or falls together." These cats are typically thick coated to withstand the cold and sturdily built, but there are always exceptions. Although not strong swimmers or fishers, Stoneclan cats are accustomed to getting their paws wet, water being prevalent throughout the territory and rain and snow common weather in the mountains.

β
Predators & Prey: Stoneclan preys primarily on birds and small mammals, although the occasional fish or amphibian is never unwelcome on their fresh kill pile. It also isn't uncommon for Stoneclan cats to partake in the wilds berries found on bushes throughout the woods. Many predators share their territory and are a frequent source of trouble: foxes, hawks, and bobcats name a few, not to mention herds of elk or deer known to trample the unfortunate soul that startles them. Wolves, cougars, and bears are not unheard of, but typically remain further up in the mountains and don't often stray into Stoneclan territory.

Traditions: Stoneclan cats have a rich and unique culture that includes many different forms of tradition and celebration. - Union Ceremony: It is Stoneclan tradition that, when a cat wishes to select a mate, that they are to present their suitor with a shed antler that can commonly found in late leafbare or early newleaf. The more points on the antler, the more seasons the relationship is said to last, so more points are desired and cats often take moons picking out the perfect antler. - Night of the New Moon: When the clans ancestors shine their brightest on the night of the new moon, the entire clan visits the burial grounds together. They come to pay their respects to their fallen warriors, bringing offerings such as feathers, flowers, or gemstones to decorate the graves. The greatest legends of clan are retold and the recently deceased are remembered. This is an incredibly sacred night for the clan, allowing them to honor their kin in Starclan and pass on their stories to the next generation, so that the stories and spirits of clan always live on. - Burial Ceremony: Stoneclan cats do not sit vigil for their fallen warriors, instead celebrating their life on the next Night of the New Moon when their spirit is believed to have reached Starclan. The cats closest to the deceased decorate the body in flowers and aromatic herbs and carry them to the burial grounds, where the body will be buried and the grave then topped with stones. Each stone is placed with intentionβendowed with a fond memory, a prayer, or a final declaration of loveβin a unique pile that makes each grave recognizable. Cats who have done evil in life, however, are condemned by the clan even in death. Those they have wrong in life have the right to join in the burial, and the body is taken to the Twoleg Ruins where it is buried amongst foreign rubble and ash. Improper burial is believed to send the fallen cat to the Dark Forest instead of Starclan.
Territory & Camp β
Stoneclan Territory: nestled in the Rocky Mountains, these cats are hardy and accustomed to tough conditions. Their territory encompasses a narrow lake valley, sheltered on all sides by tall peaks. A wide and shallow river winds through much of the territory, running down from the mountains in the north and flowing out past boundary lines in the southeast corner. Much of the territory is covered in pines and aspens, although cottonwoods and willows do grow along the river. Open, grassy areas occasionally break up the clusters of trees and are an excellent spot for a warrior to test their luck chasing rabbits. - Drinking Pool: a small offshoot of the river that gathers in a shallow pool just outside of the camp. Minnows and frogs are often seen here to the amusement of kits and the old and young can come to drink or collect moss. The elder's often gather here to bed down among the moss and cool stones in the summer to get some relief from the heat. - Burial Grounds: Stoneclan buries their dead in a grassy area on the side of the mountain, adjacent to and slightly tucked behind the camp. There is a well trodden stony path leading to the burial place. It is encircled by a ring of large boulders that Stoneclan cats believe their ancestors rolled into place generations ago. - Training Flats: southwest of the camp, the training flats is an area of the territory covered in large boulders, some of which have smooth, flat tops, giving the area its name. This collection of stones is an excellent spot for apprentices to practice their navigation - Cottonwood Meadow: a small meadow covered in soft grass and wildflowers beside the river in the southeast corner of the territory. It's common to see deer and elk bed down here, so it is to be entered with caution, but it is an excellent place to find herbs and shed antlers. It is named for the Cottonwood trees that surround its edges. In the summer, these trees drop their seeds in plenty, and the fluffy white bundles make an excellent addition to bedding. - Twisted Willow: a huge, dead ancient willow tree on the bank of the river near the center of the territory. Many suspect it was struck by lightning and lit ablaze many moons ago. Owls and birds of prey are commonly seen perching or nesting here and it is dangerous to be around for apprentice's without a trained set of eyes. - Twoleg Ruins: the dilapidated remains of what used to be a small cabin and barn in the southeast portion of the territory, near Cottonwood Meadow. The structures were burnt down many moons ago, but their skeletons still stand, reclaimed by the mountain. It is said to be haunted by the apprentice's, and even some of the elder's. It does not help the ruins' reputation that the bodies of evil cats are buried here. For that reason, the ruins are strictly off limits expect for burial needs, although that's never stopped some of the bolder apprentices.
A view of the territory from the Training Flats. β
Stoneclan Camp: These cats make their home in the northwest most part of the territory, at the base of a mountain. The back of the camp is flanked by sheer cliffside, ensuring no attack from behind and protection from the elements. In the past, rocks have been known to tumble down the cliff face, although this isn't usually an issue and the benefit thus far has outweighed the cost. The leader's den is embedded directly into the face of the cliff, a few tail lengths up and requiring some climbing to enter, although there are well-positioned pawholds. A rocky overhang juts out from the front of the cave and is where the leader holds clan meetings from. The nursery, elder's, and medicine cat's dens are tucked between large, free-standing boulders at the base of the cliff face. Plentiful ferns grow amongst the rocks and they are covered in moss that helps to insulate the dens. The apprentices make their nests in the hollowed out log of a fallen tree that lays in a corner of the camp. The warrior's sleep in a thick cluster of juniper bushes flanking either side of the camp's entrance, a first line of defense in the event of an attack. The fresh kill pile is made of a stump near the center of the camp. The best and freshest prey (usually reserved for the queen's and elders) is stacked on top of the stump, while the rest is piled in the gaps of the thick, gnarled roots.
