NOTE: This takes place in the future way after the books of Warriors. All characters in this book are not related to any of the cats in the Warriors series. This takes place in clans called Wildclan, Waveclan, Herbclan, Scratchclan, and Sunclan. All of which were created by me. There is LGBT+ content in this book... so unless you are comfortable with that type of content... don't read the book.
Prologue
Redwillow looked at the camp he called home. Well what he used to call home. He could feel the heat of the fire radiating off of the smoke that filled his lungs as he breathed in. Coughing he leapt from tree to tree and surveyed the ground for any of his clanmates still inside of the fire. He wouldn't stop until everyone was safe. He was the deputy, he couldn't leave behind any cat to die.
As he leapt he noticed the trees got more scarce up ahead. He located a small space to leap down into where there was little smoke and no fire surrounding it. He touched down and heard a soft meow that sounded distant, "Where are you? I hear you!" He turned every way and saw nothing there. The meows didn't seem like a kit but like a full grown warrior. Where are they? I can hear them like their in my ear! He was about to jump back into the trees and survey some more.
Until he turned to see three figures of cats. Their eyes were completely white and the seemed stiff, like statues. Their pelts looked starry like when there was a vision of Starclan. Their mouths moved but all that was heard was a muffled whisper.
One of the cats was tall and skinny. His pelt, from what could be discerned from the seethroughness and the stars, looked to be mainly white with a few large splatters of orange tabby print. One of his white eyes had a scar fully over it. His ears were tattered and torn from what was probably many battles.
The second was a smaller she-cat with what seemed to be a calico tortoise-shelled pelt. Her ears also seemed tattered but hers seemed even worse. She also had many small scars around her pelt.
The final cat was large and looked more intimidating than the other two. His pelt seemed to have many orange spots over a ginger pelt. They created circles of no stripes in what was supposed to be a fully striped pelt. He had long gashes in his side that looked to be given by a type of non-cat creature.
They all stood staring at Redwillow who flinched at them. After he flinched they seemed to disappear. Maybe his eyes were playing tricks on him. After a moment he turned himself around and leapt up to one of the branches. He carefully made it to the clearing where the other cats had gone, "Everyone out safely?"
Herbstar nodded and padded to his side, "You didn't have to go back in. It would have been fine-"
"Herbstar I get you mean the best but the entire clan doesn't trust your judgement at this point. I had to go back in there." He muttered back to her, "Everyone to Scratchclan." He called out to the cats, "Maybe your mate can give us a place to stay." He hissed at Herbstar.
She scoffed and padded to the front of the group. Herbstar became mates with the Scratchclan leader and that caused every cat in the entire forest to resent her.
He trailed to the back to make sure every cat stayed with the group and they didn't lose anyone along the way. Who were those cats... and why did they look that way?
Redwillow stared at the cats in front of him. The forest started to clear and they had made it onto the Scratchclan moors. Just for a few days...
"That's what he thought." Windstrike said to the small kittens in front of him, "Little did Redwillow know... he'd disappear and never return back home."
