You know, I have to wonder if Graystripe leaves of his own accord or if he was exiled.

My guess is Lionblaze will fight Bramblefake. Bramblefake will kill him, but right before killing him will reveal the truth of who he is; Bristlefrost will be the only one to overhear the true identity of the imposter. Ashfur could taunt him by saying that he was sure he mentored Lionblaze better than that, or something similar. Gives Bristlefrost a clue that allows Squirrelflight to work it out, or at least confirms it.

Berrynose did not deserve to have his character hecked up like this ;n; Them stupid editors demanded it, I’m guessing.

So I guess they just forgot about Snowbird's broken paw?
Man it would be nice if we could go, like, one book without an inconsistency. Not even 3 chapters in and there's already two of them since Twigbranch seems to have forgotten being at the meeting in the last book. You'd think that Kate and Cherith could make like a google doc with important notes but guess that's too hard. Just make a list of cats who know!! make a list of cats who were named codebreakers!!! they've already forgotten Tree lol I'm just worried who else they'll forget
I swear I'm not trying to be negative for negativity's sake. but come on. If they hired just one warrior cat fan to proofread the books they could avoid so many mistakes. Just one!! They wouldn't even have to pay them lol I'm sure so many people would volunteer to do it for free

I thought they were already mates back in AVoS? Just that they didn't want kits? I thought they broke up, I didn't know that they had reconciled They reconciled in the same book they fought, I thought. After a bit of distance, Finleap apologizes for being a butthead

Funny. First we got the part of the excerpt from the website, then slightly longer with the iBooks, then finally now with the HarperCollins one.

Either way though I'm not trying to dig up anything, I'm pretty sure most people are over the whole Su Susan Fiasco at this point. I still think the warriors team would benefit from adding one or two actual ADULT fans to do some proofreading. Su wasn't even an adult as far as I'm aware. (WAS she an adult? from what I remember she was like a kid. just makes the whole thing extra sketchy)

Jayfeather is gold in this.
Also Berrynose deserved so much better than this. Why throw away one of the most interesting background characters like that? Erins - Do whatever you like with Bumblestripe, but leave Berrynose alone!
And poor Bristlefrost. She's tried throughout the entire half of TBC to do the right thing, but is manipulated, almost witnesses a murder, and now is in an awkward af position as she tries to help other cats, whilst risking being caught. I'm guessing she'll pull an Ivypool and become a spy for the cats working against Bramble!fake.

Wow things are heating up fast.
Saw these exiles coming a mile away. Poor Twiggy. While I'm glad they're safe in ShC, this means that Lion and Twig could die in the battle.
If they don't find Shadow soon, I fear he is going to stay dead.

I don't even think it's possible for him to have survived that, even by Warriors standards.

But this is TBC we're talking about. This arc is unlike anything we've ever seen before. If a cat can be possessed, I think they can figure a way for Shadow to survive or return from the dead.

I don't even think it's possible for him to have survived that, even by Warriors standards. "even by Warriors standards", Why is everyone asking like warriors standards are so low though? I mean, Warriors has had a tendency lately to keep major characters alive way too long, but there haven't really been that many situations over the long, long series where cats are assumed dead and then end up being alive, besides leader-related shenanigans which have existed explicitly the whole series (Tigerstar and Fakebramble count as leader-related shenanigans). As far as cats being thought of by the narration as dead and really being alive there's just Hollyleaf and Twigbranch (and the latter didn't even last a whole book) as far as I can think of, and in the category of cats literally coming back to the dead there have been absolutely none that didn't involve aforementioned leader shenanigans, and Shadowsight is not a leader. Well, there was the recent Squirrelflight thing, but that involved the real, permanent death of another major character, plus it was from Squirrelflight's POV so the narrative never led us into believing she was dead, so that's hardly evidence that all deaths are fake outs now. I don't know why everyone is treating Warriors as if it's historically been like a superhero comic book where no one ever stays dead.

I don't know why everyone is treating Warriors as if it's historically been like a superhero comic book where no one ever stays dead. I agree to an extent, but I think the thing that gets me is that our most recent example of this happening is Tigerheart. That's still fresh in everyone's minds, and rightfully so, imo. Fake!Bramblestar's circumstances make more sense, because he already had his nine lives. Canon has long since established that leaders obviously come back if they've got lives to spare, and we already know he does, so there's that. You explained how Squirrelflight's situation makes sense, too, because we don't really know if she actually died. She could've just been on death's door, sort of like how Poppyfrost's spirit was leaving her body before Jayfeather stopped her. There's clearly a thin margin where a cat can be saved, and I think Squirrelflight was within that margin. With Tigerheart...though, he was dead when he came back, wasn't he? I definitely am not gonna reread his book to find out, but iirc, they dragged his corpse to the Moonpool and put him in the water...? Like, make no mistake about it -- the dude was super dead lol and he was just a regular cat. If he had already had his nine lives or something, I'd be more understanding, but this is his actual corpse we're talking about. He didn't have nine lives to fall back on...yet here we are, and he's no worse for wear (er...physically speaking that is, 'cause I still think he's terrible, but that's a subject for another day). I feel the Erins could've written that better (like he was near death instead) because him being alive is still ridiculous with the way they wrote it. I feel that's where most peoples' wariness comes from, including mine. He was not leader when that happened to him, so something similar could happen to Shadowsight. We've already established that he is special (re: the prologue of the first book), so it makes sense that people are concerned that he might still be alive and that the Erins will come up with some reason for why he survived, just like they did with Tigerheart.

I don't think Shadowsight's alive. He was thrown around and had his throat torn out. Also he was thrown down a cliff. Not very likely he will survive that. If he does, then I think the imposter/whoever's killed him would've tried to finish him off (and probably succeeded). Even if he's still alive after that . . . it's just unbelievable. Two cats in NP died after falling off a cliff. Why would Shadowsight be any different?
Tigerheartstar was brought back to life via the nine lives thing, because he was deputy and set to be leader anyways, but Shadowsight wasn't deputy, he was a medicine cat. Medicine cats don't receive nine lives. How would he be brought back to life? Especially if StarClan is unresponsive. Unless the imposter brings him back (which I don't think he will), I don't think Shadowsight is living any time soon.

Though the Tigerheart thing only worked because of the very unique circumstance that he was deputy and his leader had died before him, making him technically leader. Shadowsight is in no way, shape or form a leader. That said, the Tigerheart thing makes me wonder - does that mean back in Code of the Clans they could have just dragged Brightwhisker's corpse to the moonstone and that whole drama would have been avoided? Or for that matter, could Tigerstar number one have been avoided if someone had put Cinderfur on the Moonstone, since Brokenstar was dead by that point? That's assuming that Cinderfur actually died after Nightstar, though, I'm not sure if it would work if Cinderfur died first but Nightstar died before he could appoint another deputy. Maybe if the code gets reworked, part of it will be removing the "appoint a deputy before moon high" rule, now that everyone knows you can still give deputies nine lives if they die immediately after the leader.
