I have no idea how difficult it is for a formal school to go virtual is, but for those of you that have to-- good luck, the bugs and glitches are not always fun to deal with.

I hope it wont be too rough on us, but I know it'll be a bit hard on one of my professors.

80% of my professors have no idea how to use the schools online service platform. Online courses would be rough

Yikes, so my university suspended all in-person classes. One prof of mine is going to start a twitch channel, which is the most absurd thing I've heard coming from a 50 year old man. Looking forward to it.
They might also cancel all in-person exams, which I hope isn't the case. I can only imagine how much harder they'll be ):

Ouch. Yeah, I know a couple of the professors over on my end are the same way. I lucked out that I'm far enough into the semester that I've only been taking English classes for my major. All those will do okay-ish online.

I passed my final! I got a C+ for the class (Lowkey disappointed in myself but hey I passed) and the teacher was very happy with me Was a bit stressed about it since it got pushed up way earlier than it should've been due to COVID-19, but I managed to get it done with 75%!

All my finals are virtual now. Also, many of my friends are going home because spring quarter will be online.
I'm a first-year comp sci major btw

Are y'all taking finals because you're on a trimester schedule?

I have no clue what trimester schedule means, but my finals are from April 12-17. I start classes again on April 27.

I start classes again on April 27. trimesters are a different way of dividing up the academic year. idk exactly how they work 'cause I've never had them, but they just use a different academic schedule than the common semester format. like my classes this academic year were aug-dec (fall semester) and now jan-may (spring semester). hence why i was asking 'cause finals mid-march is super weird concept to me

Only reason I had my final so early was because almost all classes from my college got transferred to online due to COVID-19. The schedule got all messed up, the campus even shut down for a few days because of a possible case, and the next quarter has even been delayed for a bit. So we ended up doing a practice test we were supposed to do and treated it as a make-shift final.

my college is semesterly, so we have Fall from late August-December and then Spring from late January to early May.
we have a few summer terms (may-june, and june-july) but they're intensive courses and completely optional for those who want to catch up/get ahead for certain classes.

my 80 yro history professor seems to have discovered email for the first time because he sent us 4 emails in two days
also referred to his email address as his "home email" and stressed that his phone number was--don't worry!--a cell phone. Lol.

I'm an accounting major with a Japanese minor. I'm a junior (second semester).
classes I'm taking: - intermediate accounting I - professionalism in accounting - managerial science (quantitative analysis) - financial management - beginning japanese II - also a class about my state's history (only taking because it fulfills my last non-major 300 lvl class requirement and it was the only one that fit in my schedule lmaooo)
about to continue classes online. hopefully, it goes smoothly enough. but I'm planning on skipping next semester if I have to do online classes again, especially since most will be accounting and Japanese courses (aka the ones not offered at all online here otherwise/would be the hardest to actually learn from in a non-classroom environment).

TL;DR - I struggled with Python, made a stupid mistake, fixed that mistake, made another, and fixed it. Asked professor for help and once she gets back to me, I'll submit my assignment. I don't trust or believe in myself with Python at all and I just wanna go back to HTML & CSS, please.
I spent two days on trying to figure out Python which I had to use for four exercises in an assignment for my computer technology class. It wasn't prompting the commands back to me, so each time I went through and rewrote the code I kept getting "invalid syntax." I checked it out this afternoon, redid the code because I noticed an error-- I used the & symbol instead of % and that's why the program kept coming back with a weird response. So, I fixed it but then I was like, "but how do I incorporate this with the rest?" I asked a friend's friend for help and he was able to help and I felt so goddamn stupid for quite some time until I took a break, went to shower and realized what I did wrong again. hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh so anyways, I figured it out but I'm not submitting my assignment just yet because I'm freaked out that it isn't right (even though I ran it through a validator) and asked my professor for help. I don't expect her to get back to me in like 3-4 days because she takes a long time to respond which is understandable. I'm just hoping it's okay because I'm wondering if it'll be on my exam. If it is, I'm screweeddd.
