Somewhat unrelated but your surroundings affect your ability to concentrate and do work well.
My office chair had broken, but i found one of those like... pull out hammock chair kinda things thats super nice and also has a cushion in the butt and is fuzzy.
Well, I then proceeded to sit in it for about 7 hours stright and I ended up getting a ton of work done that I had been putting off. The true miracle? I have chronic back pain and poor circulation in my legs so they always fall asleep when i sit so I always have to be like, downing naproxen, sitting, laying down, standing, just alternating what i'm doing that's going to cause the least amount of pain but i haven't been in pain and my legs haven't fallen asleep ONCE.
So yeah. Get a comfy ass chair or remember to clean up your surroundings. See what tha does for your work ethic and focus.

hiiii, I've recently started studying again after taking a gap year i'm studying veterinary nursing!! after taking a year off i'm finding it super hard to get back into the routine of doing homework again and staying on top of it all :'( any advice? I also took a gap year before trying to figure out what I wanted to do. I think it’s best you start out with a small amount of classes and slowly work your way up to more. It’s easier if you have one or two classes to focus on and get back into the groove of homework. The only way I was able to stay on top of all my work was to do it at a pace I was comfortable with. Don’t force yourself to take on a lot at first. It’s easier to go gradually than fast. I'm so glad i took a gap year haha, i was so done with school after finishing high school thankfully the way my course is set out, i only have school one day a week and it's divided up into two classes, so it's not toooo bad but we're starting on the 'easy' units/topics and it gradually gets harder and harder with an increasing work load.

rant underneath spoiler i have a paper that's due at 11am today rn it's 1am
it's only two pages, i'm abt 3/4 into a page rn and i genuinely hate writing it. like i can write literally anything and immediately think "wow that's really stupid" or "ffs what are you even doing /here/? do you even belong in this program if you can't even do this well?" and it's... rlly difficult. like i had a full on panic attack earlier after opening the word doc to try at it again after having dinner.
so yea. i'm probably going to write legitimately anything which may be considered passable at this point and hope it doesn't ruin my grade for the class too much considering it's worth 10% of my course grade.
also dealing with annoying ass nausea due to the absurd amount of otc painkillers that i've taken everyday for the past two months or so for my back pain probably irritating my stomach. so that's like. super convenient.

Sorry about the paper, Jane :-(. At least it’s done and over with now.
I was all ready to turn in an assignment last night and realized I forgot one component on the check list. So now I gotta wait to do that and then submit. After that it’s reading some boring computer technology thing and then an html project.
Typography, you’re a pain in my side.

Fight typography. I doubt it'll win.
I'm currently running head on at an essay about social structures in Victorian England!

tfw you've coded your entire project correctly but the video you have to include is not working and you've tried literally everything you can think of and googled and somehow it's still valid in the validator's eyes. so annoying

Well, I’m actually in a community college that’s so laid-back it’s basically high school except the students usually want to be here. While I did go in with a basic plan of getting an AAS in medical technology, it’s been a few years and it kind of feels like I’m going to school for the sake of going to school now.
Also I’m learning Japanese mostly on my own, but I don’t know if that counts haha

I'll say that counts!
I'm doing the same with German, heh.

I'm finally done this week's midterm grind, but now its onto the next one.
I had a logic midterm and a linear algebra midterm on the same day yesterday, but luckily I think I got at least a 90%+ on the latter. Unfortunately I have an econ midterm this coming Thursday, and then another calculus midterm next Thursday. Not to mention I have another philosophy paper due this week.
At least I get weekend off, which is nice.

okay so this next week (03.09-03.13) is spring break, and here's my plans (from most pressing to least pressing): - study for amazonia exam (03.17) - study for archaeology exam (03.24) - work on reading my book (From the Enemy's Point of View: Humanity and Divinity in an Amazonian Society by Eduardo Viveiros de Castro, i chose it from a list of like six books) for amazonia class (i need to read it for the final paper, which is a book review, due at end of semester)... it's not a difficult read, but i've been putting it off due to stressing over other more immediate assignments so spring break seems like the ideal time to kick back and read it. for both exams i'll be rewriting my notes and will probably try using the feynman technique because i've found that to be particularly useful in the past for this discipline. as for recreational things (it is spring break after all)... i'm probably going to replay Life Is Strange, read some more of Camus' L'Étranger, drink wine (... a lot of wine? heh), hang out with my grandma and great-grandma (i'm living three hours away from home atm and miss them tons), and sleep. a lot. anyone else on spring break? what are you guys doing?

my spring break starts on friday. first i gotta get through three midterms and a paper. the outline is due to the TA tonight, which i'm almost done with (final draft is due friday). two of my exams are monday and one of them is by far the hardest of all my classes because it's straight up memorization of a crap ton material. i already had one yesterday, too, so i'm in the middle of my grind.

I have a long way til my spring break. Still midterm crunch swing of things, I am afraid. Did finish one of my more serious essays today! This is one of the few times I've been told to edit an essay and I decided to instead just ... almost write a new essay. Which I am a whole lot happier with.

With what's going on, my school will likely be going virtual within the next coming weeks.
I know a lot of peoples already had.
Just to reaffirm what I stated before, if anyone ever needs anything proofread or the like, hit me up. I'm going to need to keep my skills sharp in that line if something happens with my tutoring job.
