Please read this, as it will explain a lot about the RP and what you can expect from it. o u r r p Welcome to World's War! This will be a second-generation based superhero RP, meaning each of our characters will be the children of previous superheroes, i.e. Captain America, The Flash, etc. We will focus on our original characters, so please don't try to claim the real deal superheroes, as I want to keep this RP as original as possible.
Our RP will be set in Jacksonville, Florida. It will follow our characters as they go about their lives, following in the footsteps of their parents. Our big bad is hidden for now, and will remain so until ʀᴀɪɴʟᴇᴀғ 🍁 and I decide it's time for them to 'step into the spotlight', so to speak.
Please keep in mind that this is a superhero RP, so people will get hurt or die depending on who hit them, and how hard. |

• All forum rules and guidelines are our rules and guidelines as well. Follow them.
◆ Hospitality
• Be nice to your fellow roleplayers, as you never know when someone is having a bad day. Anyone found being rude or inhospitable will be reprimanded.
◆ Roleplaying
• As this is a semi-advanced RP, but I don't want to be too strict, I will only ask for 3-4 lines of RP per character, per post. Lack of muse will be worked around, but please don't use that excuse every time.
• I don't want this to be taken down before we can really get going, so please keep everything at least at a PG-13 rating.
• There should be no god-modding or power-playing, and any instances will be given a warning. Failure to respect someone's authority over their own character will result in a report.
• We all love drama in-character, but please leave it there. I trust you to deal with your drama on your own time, unless it is absolutely necessary to bring it to my or ʀᴀɪɴʟᴇᴀғ 🍁 attention.
◆ Joining
• To keep things even, please join with at least one male and one female.
• There are two character templates available for you to fill out. The form, on the joining page, is required. The profile, on the character page, is optional. You do not have to fill it out, but are welcome to if you feel like it.
• We except you to read the rules and necessary information before joining, to make sure that you are doing so correctly and efficiently. If we notice problems with your forms, either Rain or I will let you know. Please don't get mad if we ask you to fix something, we're just trying to make sure everything goes smoothly.
• While this is a fantasy RP, please keep in mind that realism is still a think. Your hero or villain cannot be all-powerful, impervious to everything, and unable to be beaten. We will be more lenient on realistic appearances, but only to an extent.
◆ Expectations
• You are not expected to be on all day every day. We all have lives, I understand that. All I ask is that you post a few times a week to keep the story going.
• Please follow all the rules and guidelines given to you, they are here for a reason.
• This RP is extremely LGBT+ welcoming, so if you have a problem with the community, I can almost guarantee this RP is not the one for you.
• If there are any problems that come up or you have any questions, please communicate. Rain and I cannot help if we don't know that something needs to be done.

r o l e p l a y i n f o r m a t i o n p l o t Recently, something happened that no one can quite explain. A merge occurred, bringing the Marvel and DC universes together. They had crossed over before, from time to time, but now there is no crossing. The two worlds are one and the same. Whilst everyone has been adjusting to this new way of living, a new 'cure' has been found for mutants, but it is being given to 'normal' heroes and villains as well.
There's a problem, though. The last few heroes to go take this 'cure' all ended up comatose, or in some cases, dead. Our heroes now have to find out what is going all, all while dealing with new power dynamics and people who have no control over their power.
Can they do it? Or will these rogue cures be the death of them? |

ACCOMPANIED BY ELIJAH QUEEN & ALASKA STARK
 Natalia Barnes-Romanoff was nothing if not level-headed. She had been for as long as she could remember. Her parents had drilled it into her incessantly. Stay calm and collected. Never react, never drop your poker face. Keep your enemy - and your ally - guessing at all times. It is better to be a mystery than to be predictable.
It's hard, of course, not to react when your dimension merges with another and suddenly the population of your earth is very nearly doubled. New heroes popping up left and right, new villains trying to take over the world, and new coworkers that thought they knew more than you did because they Googled something that one time a few years ago. But Natalia was a soldier. She could adapt, and overcome. So she took the news of the merging in stride, accepting the new additions to her 'team' with open arms.
And that was what left her here, standing in front of not one, but two arrogant genius-children who had decided to take over her time in the gym rather than let her finish her workout before interrupting her. She grumbled as she pulled the weights up to her shoulders. The genius twins, as she'd dubbed them the moment they met, were discussing the possibility of make real working lightsabers.
Because apparently, that was a necessary discussion to have at 7:30 AM.
"Can you guys, like, shut up? I can't hear myself think and you're distracting me from my workout," Natalia muttered, watching as they turned offended glares on her. "Why are you even in here? I'm not a part of this conversation so what's the point of having it around me?"
"Maybe we want to know if you think it'll work, Nattie. Don't act like you aren't as smart as we are. We both know who your parents are, and there's no way you didn't inheret that logical thinking." Alaska Stark, daughter of certified genius and playboy philanthropist Tony Stark, was someone that Natalia had known for as long as she could remember. Their parents had been on a team together, so really it was only right that they grew up together. And the girl Alaska had taken in some years back, Elmae, was right there along with them. Apparently Alaska was as good at taking in strays as her father was.
Elijah Queen, on the other hand, was as closed-off as a playboy could get - even one with the intellect of Felicity Smoak hiding in that big brain of his. He seemed to think that the lightsabers were rationally possible, but morally a bad decision. Imagine Red Skull with a lightsaber, was all he'd really said on the matter. That and the ways they would go about creating one.

"I am shocked and offended. Obviously blood means nothing to either of you, as you see fit to have such an important discussion without me. I'm also disgusted by the fact that you speak of creating a lightsaber in theory as if I hadn't started on a prototype as soon as I saw the first thirty minutes of Episode IV." This sentence ends in a 'tsk', insulted by how little his supposed brother and best friend 'know' him.
The snarky tirade precedes him, as Arden 'pops up' in the gym completely unannounced and smoothly inserts himself into their small circle, though his entrance into the conversation might leave something to be desired... it isn't as if he needs an announcement, however. He's learned there's no sneaking up on a Barnes or a Romanoff- let alone a combination of the two. Though his brother and friend receive a pointed side-eye, Arden offers Natalia one of the drinks he knows she favors and shoots Elmae a smiled greeting.
Acknowledgements made, Arden leans against a nearby machine with the return of the sharp smile that his family has long since learned to be wary of. "I'm pleased that you've landed on the subject, however~ I've been looking forward to challenging you to a duel, Las~"
Arden notably lacks the intensity that his father and brother are capable of- despite his IQ level, he likes to keep everything rather simple. Simple to the point where there isn't much that he doesn't take in stride. Such as the abrupt and unexpected merging of two separate worlds. Which was, not exactly Outside of the realm of possibility, considering 'Uncle' Barry can literally run back in time. The only surprise came from the fact that the worlds remained merged and there weren't apocalyptic results that needed to be averted in a certain amount of time or else everyone will die- some for the second or seventh time- and- well- the transition was smooth, all things considered.
While there might have been initial- but hilarious- incidents involving the rapid overpopulation in the 'hero' job market; Arden mainly saw the opportunity to put his networking skills to the test. And perhaps his competitive spirit was stoked as well...it's difficult to maintain your uniqueness when a dozen others with similar traits, abilities, and intelligence suddenly take up residence in a place and position that was once yours alone. He's become something of a self-proclaimed rival to everyone with an intellect and skill set mirroring his, frequently proposing challenges and competitions to test his limits as well as theirs. Whether they agree to them or not- It's initially how he met and befriended Alaska, as he can't not pit his genius against a legit Stark, or else he wouldn't be able to call himself a genius playboy philanthropist-
Though he sees her, and many others- as both business & intellectual rivals, Arden never sees a 'loss' on his part as a true loss because it's a 'win' for the world in general; every time another genius succeeds in making something great. He's very supportive of bettering the planet. And very supportive of using freaking lightsabers to do it.
"Come by my lab later and I'll show you my most recent design~ I'm not sure whether to go authentic with a simulcraft kyber crystal or not- though I imagine you won't have much trouble with that if you can modify your father's repulsor design to be more sustainable at a modulated level of intensity-" Arden smiles ruefully and waves a hand almost as if to dismiss his earlier words. He isn't actually self-conscious, but he tries to be mindful of his audience so that he doesn't go off on a tangent.
It isn't that he believes present company couldn't keep up, but it might be prudent not to re-open the topic for discussion while crowding around Natalia during her workout. Arden tries to be socially conscious when he can direct some brain power toward it- He wouldn't mind designing her a lightsaber of her own, however- maybe a shorter one built more like a wakizashi that could be easily concealed..!

Two genius kids in the room was one thing. But a third walking in, who just so happened to be the older brother of one of the former two, well, Natalia was almost ready to throw a dumbbell at the wall and call it quits. Until aforementioned third genius kid offered her a drink. They might still be talking about lightsabers of all gods-forsaken topics, but at least now she had a drink in her hand to ignore them with.
"If you're gonna make lightsabers, Queens and Stark, I better get one too! Maybe something I can split into two, so dual-ended? If you can do that, I mean. Also make it black. It matches my style." She muttered as she sipped on her drink, leaning onto Arden's shoulder at this point. Now that she'd stopped her workout, she was exhausted from the mission last night, and was ready to just sit and relax with her team. Turning just slightly, she looked around for Arizona, who was bound to follow her sisters at some point. Natalia had been meaning to ask her about what to get Alaska for her upcoming birthday, as the latter had gotten Natalia some very expensive throwing knives that she'd been eyeing for week, and she needed to one-up her.
So Natalia was competitive. Bite her.
"Hey, Nattie, what do you think?" She looked back up and blinked at Elijah's voice, confusion clear on her face. He chuckled at how lost in thought she'd been and explained, "We were thinking of going out to eat. I can hear Alaska's stomach rumbling and was wondering what you and Ace were thinking as far as restaurants go."
Oh. Right. Food was a thing. His question reminded Natalia that she hadn't eaten in - she had to stop to do some mental math. Two days? Or at least just about that. Nodding her head, Natalia turned to Arden, whose shoulder she was still using as a vertical pillow, and tilted her head quizzically at him as if to ask "what do you think?" |

~ARDEN IRA QUEEN~
Arden smiles unabashedly when Natalia accepts his offering with veiled gratitude and deigns to use him as a backrest. He didn't exactly make it a secret that he intends to gratify himself to all of the 'new' heroes and their offspring. The more friends, the better! And Arden has always been an amiable person. Others might find it kind of weird that he's playing some version of Superhero Neko Atsume, but his heart's totally in the right place~ Arden just believes everyone is so fun and Interesting and he loves learning more about them. He particularly loves the feeling of making and maintaining connections; making others smile, influencing their lives in some small way- contradiction though he may be- and so his expression flickers from a hint of pride to dramatically honored before settling on his former smile. It isn't something to make a 'deal' of, though Natalia's reserve made her more difficult to befriend in even a small way. His only other outward acknowledgment is to shift so that she's more comfortable.
"Of course I can 'do that', I can do anything~ These two, on the other hand..." Arden trails off and gives the darker haired geniuses a dubious once-over, though as usual he can't quite manage to hide the playfulness in his expression. "Ah, nevertheless, I'll try to make it fair~ Winner builds Nattie's saber! ...So naturally I'll be giving you the Asajj Ventress special~ It'll be fun to play with blacklight, though I imagine Sushi might be able to help me make it truly black- hm and we'll need a way to discern it from lack of light so that you wouldn't accidentally decapitate yourself in the dark..." He snaps his fingers. "Note!" The silvery cuff he wears on his left ear flashes briefly, automatically recording and storing his previous words for later perusal. Arden tends to come up with ideas on the spot- and usually in a rambling, stream-of-consciousness fashion. The AI connected to his earpiece prevents him from losing ideas and the sketchy blueprints he may draw out on restaurant napkins. Or try to hastily finger-write on a steamed mirror in the midst of a 3AM shower- not his best moment...
Arden returns to the conversation a little after Natalia does, having wandered off in his head almost as surely as she had. "Food?" He blinks, as if struggling to comprehend the meaning before his jade eyes light up. "Oh, right!" He slings an arm companionably around Elijah's shoulders, "Is this your way of asking your inestimably talented big brother to cook for you again~?" Arden's fondness for messing around with poisons and biological weapons extends to the kitchen, much to general surprise and wary skepticism. He's grown out of using those he cooks for as guinea pigs but for some reason people still don't trust him? "I have a new recipe for southwestern chicken I wanted to try- and this one doesn't make you hear lemons!"

accompanied by: natalia barnes-romanoff, elijah queen, alaska stark, & arden queen While Elmae was adopted by the Starks, she could never get her hands to work like a Stark. It was something she accepted a long time ago, especially considering she had her mutant abilities to compensate. She never envied her family for their brains and how they could come up with something so complicatedly unique. In fact, she admired anyone that had the capability to use their brains and hands to make something like a suit her family dons. At the same time, she had grown distant from the idea of understanding the technology her family and others used. Her interest wanes when it comes to discussion and that leads us to here. The second lightsabers came up, Elmae focused solely on keeping her appearance. Star Wars never seemed to be big with her and while it would be cool to use a lightsaber in battle, she had other ways to end a conflict without using that.
Her interest piqued again when Arden made his little "note" and she couldn't suppress a small grin of amusement. He was interesting to say the least with how he acts and talks. It was a nice break from how her family interacted. The talk about food made her realize that she did need to eat something soon. Though she wanted to go home and eat, as Elmae couldn't handle keeping the typical human appearance for too long. A nice break would give her head a rest. Taking the opportunity, she spoke up.
"I could make some potato pancakes. They're really good and you can put applesauce on them." she offered as she eyed the group. Making offering something that could be a snack wasn't the best idea. Still, it would be better than Arden making something and having the chance of tasting colors.
