Anyway, that's just me muttering. The next page is WIP, but I'll be working on it today. Probably wont get it done today, but I'll probably get close (at the very least it'll just need color).

At the time of me creating this plot, I knew next to nothing about it either! So my co-creator definitely does all the little steps to get me up to speed! Generally speaking, because she didn't know what I was bringing to the table and I didn't know what she was doing, I'm strongly hoping that you wont have to know anything about DW to read this! There will probably be bits here and there that are enhanced by that knowledge, but cross your fingers that my statement will be true. XD Anyway, yep! Despite whether the above holds true or not, I am going to make a very large effort to make it fun! The third page, as I said, is now 70% done.  Completely outlined and partly colored. |

Hello my friends! I return! New page will be finished tomorrow if I have to drag my art supplies into my Brit. Lit. class! Which I have an awesome professor and she'd probably find that super amazing. Anyway, me and my "co-author" are yards ahead in plot, but considering the pace I'm going the following comment will be relevant in five years. XD Ooooooooooh boy. Oh boy. That aside! I'm hoping to get to a point soon enough where I can start inserting one-off comics - perhaps of short stories - to fill in some gaps a bit for future timeskips. We're currently in 2015-2016 level of storyline, so I'm still working out what to retcon a bit to match the full plot. On that note, next page will have some fun facts attached to it! Because retcon.  Also added a poll! Because I was curious! |

I love the first two pages! And I think it's pretty awesome you've decided to go with acrylics!
Would you say that takes longer/is harder than using something like colored pencil or markers?

Some of the covers are in acrylic and the main pages are in watercolor!
I've actually timed myself - or rather, my art class has made it easy to figure out how long it takes. It takes me two hours to do a page from start to finish. Watercolor is my second favorite medium next to graphite pencil, so it's actually the one I'm quickest at doing when it comes to coloring. I'd probably be just as bad with colored pencils as markers. Both are mediums I don't use very often. They'd probably take the same amount of time. Also, watercolor has some effects that I wont be able to do with markers or colored pencils. :3
Salt and rubbing alcohol are two very cool things you can use with watercolor. I'm looking forward to using their effects.

That’s pretty impressive, 2 hours! I don’t have much experience with water color, so acrylics are my preference when it comes to paints but I’m nowhere that quick. However, I’m still not hugely comfortable with coloring in general, so graphite is my favorite. I would like to practice more with acrylics so that using that medium is easier. But if I want to color in my drawing, I’ll go for colored pencil & maybe chalk.
That sounds fun! It’s also cool to experiment!

It's funny cuz The Doctor always has to be doing something, so him just sitting there having no clue what to do other than sip some coffee & eat a donut is priceless XD ^^" I'm curious about the mistake you mentioned, haha. Also, I think I figured out the piece of Myrnin's clothes that changed color. I'll put it under spoiler in case anyone else wants to guess: I couldn't figure it out at first b/c I was looking for the obvious pieces of clothing... but then I noticed! Originally, Myrnin's hair tie was black. Then it changed to white! |

Chalk is very messy, which is why I hesitate to use it. I'm glad you like it!  He was not made for a peaceful Friday. Yeah, sure! So since me and my friend were both starting out this plot we didn't really think ahead to where we might actually want to place DW canon. For a total of 3 posts, it was placed in series 9-ish. The Doctor was checking texts from Clara and River Song. In theory, timey-whimey and possible. In practice, very, very confusing to turn up for only a one-off mention. The Doctor later got placed squarely in series 10 and we consistently stayed there. Ding, ding, ding! You are correct! Honestly, I love how I looked at it while painting and thought "I'm gonna remember to color that". XD |

I think I used chalk a few times in art classes in college...it was very messy. xD My favorite medium is still acryllic painting. (That's what you call it right? When it's not water color?) |

It's either acrylic or oil painting, so yep!
Oil is the one that can take days to dry. I've only used it once.
I don't have chalk. I have been doing art with a whiteboard marker though. XD

So I have one page completely outlined and the character sheet for Myrnin is almost done. My art class has discontinued as of today, so I'm going to proceed to do art from home from now forward. Colors might change slightly.I've been using my art teachers really fancy watercolors up til this point. So now I have to work out out of the three packs I have which is the closest to the same colors I've been using. But I'll get there. It should be fine, since I made the comic cover with my own personal watercolors, so it shouldn't be too noticeable. Just wanted to give an update! |
