[ ooo i love these type of plots <3
and i need to my muse reignited.
Stormchime - grey and black tortoiseshell she-cat with blue eyes. sister is Softheather. [ would be sick ]
Softheather - white she-cat with gray splotches and blue eyes. sister is Stormchime.
Finchcall - sleek black tom with yellow-amber eyes.
Sunpaw - Fluffy, dark ginger tom with amber eyes
Cloudkit - grey and white tom with blue eyes [ sick and will pass away ]
Aspenkit - pale grey tabby tom with amber eyes
could finch potentially be slow's brother? @horsie
is it okay if soft is a queen? if you okay with that, i envisioned her with older kits like 5-6 moons old, i would make a kit or two for her (probably if i made a second, they would get sick and pass) or maybe she could be riverpaw's mom? I just like connections xD]
Stormchime slipped out of the medicine cat den with a soft yawn escaping from her jaws. She paused for a moment as her blue gaze drifted away camp... something felt different not including the slight wheezing that was escaping from her chest. She knew she should be "resting" but lying in the nest and watching some of her clanmates struggle to breath was wearing on her.
She shifted on her paws, ignoring the prickling feeling between her shoulders. She knew that the sickness was becoming a problem and she hoped whatever felt wrong wasn't due to that. She wrinkled her nose and stepped further into camp, twitching her ears as she heard the whispers of the set of sisters. She faltered for a movement as she saw Meadowthorn leave the nursery with a blank glint in her ears. The mottled feline tried to ignore the sinking feeling in her gut as she drifted over to join the rest of the clan.
The feline remained silent as Meadowthorn delivered the news of her sister death. Stormchime lowered her head and took in a deep breath. She jerked in faint surprise at the fur brushing against hers. "Oh," she breathed, lifting her gaze to look at Softheather and greeted her sister with a soft, quiet purr.
Softheather bumped her head gently against Stormchime's shoulder as she sank down beside her sister. Her blue flickered to Snapwind. She was grateful someone was willing to ask the tough questions. The grey and white feline was still reeling from the news. Rosestar was so young; their leader had her whole life ahead of her and her kits... Softheather's gaze held a sad gleam in them. This was going to be a hard day for them all.

Adding your characters! As for the kits, that works! I love some good drama!
Also, I'm think of creating a rule for everyone: for every four characters you have, you must have at least one sick character. So if you have 8 characters, two must be sick. Not getting sick, be currently sick.)

[ hi! i am good, today was a pretty calm day. just watching some hgtv now.
yesss! i love kits (mostly because i don't get to rp them often xD)
i will make two kits for her ( and if anyone else wants to, feel free to <3 )
should storm be sick now or maybe starting to show signs of it of the sickness?
i added cloud and aspen.
since cloud is sick, is he in the medicine cat den instead of the nursery?
i can make finch sick as well, if you want? or just make more sick cats that will die xD ]

Lol! Same! The one time I did, no one interacted with my characters. It sucked!
Have her be sick. Like, she can be outside the medicine cats den still strong enough to move around but definitely sick. Cloud can also be with her. It's up to you for Finch. Of course, there is a possibility for the sick cats to be healed.)

Very much so. It's also be incredibly hard to get people to join and then stay.

that opening where they were skydiving in was dope. i bought the movie a few years ago so that's what me and the college friends did on a snow day once xD
i watched a lot of pbs kids because my parents never payed for cable cx
i watched a lot of disney, dreamworks, and stars on my vhs ]

Meadowthorn glanced down at Snapwind. Her green eyes stared into the blazing blue eyes of the other she-cat. Meadowthorn's only immediate answer was a shake of her head. "I don't know. Kestrelclaw is too ill to make the journey to receive his nine lives. We would be sending him to his death if we tried to move him right now." Not that his death might be far away, she thought somberly. "For now, we must look to our elders and senior warriors. And...and we must crack down on this sickness. Anyone showing the slightest signs of it must report to Slowshadow. We can't have this spreading anymore. We've already lost a warrior to it. We can't risk more. Snapwind, I would like to to help create a den next to the medicine cat's den for the sick cats. It needs to be well protected. Nightbird, Blackbird, please organize a hunting patrol for you each. Finchcall, Tumbleweed, please work on patrols. All senior warriors, let us meet with our elders." Mind spinning at the fact she just gave orders to her clanmates, Meadowthorn jumped down the fallen log and padded to the elders' den.

At Meadowthorn's command to arrange a hunting patrol, Blackbird raised quickly to her paws and padded forward. she glanced with grief-stricken eyes to the nursery. Her leader was lost, and their deputy was fighting a losing battle... Blackbird shook her head in an attempt to clear her mind, but with the scent of death sickness in her illness, her mind was still clouded. She felt an itch to get out of the camp and take respite in the quite forest outside the camp boundaries. "H-Horsetail?" she started with a stammer, "Would you like to join me?" she meowed. The usually bright and sensible she-cat appeared small like a frightened kit. Her yellow eyes were wide as she looked at the long-limbed tomcat. She had hardly heard the rest of the orders, so she wasn't even sure if Horsetail had been ordered to do his own task.

Behind Blackbird, Sorrelspots stepped forward towards Meadowthorn, but hesitated when the she-cat turned towards the elders den. Sorrelspots was not quite yet a senior warrior. Instead, she turned her attention to Finchcall. "Would you like me to join your patrol?" she asked, her voice as smooth as it always was, though her blue eyes betrayed the intense emotion that thrashed her heart. A shiver ran down her spine at the thought of the kits that had just been birthed into a clan that was surrounded in chaos. Without a leader to lead, or a deputy to step up, the cats didn't know where or who to turn to. Sorrelspots felt as though her paws were moving themselves.

Foxpounce gritted his teeth as his mind raced. The usually hot-tempered tom was unusually silent. He pressed close to Larkfeather, taking comfort in her warmth as cats padded aimlessly around them - looking just as lost as he felt. Rosestar is dead? And Kestrelclaw is to ill to earn his nine lives? He glanced to Larkfeather, his amber eyes were round with fear, "What are we going to do?" he rasped. He flattened his ears against his head and closed his eyes. Meadowthorn's orders gave some stability to the clan and Foxpounce slowly rose to his paws, "Lets hunt," he meowed to the blue-grey she-cat beside him, "I can't stand being here any longer." The scent of sickness filled his nostrils and he wanted to be anywhere but in camp at that moment.

Insides the elders den, Tatterpelt wheezed pitifully. The dark brown tabby felt a tightness in her chest that had only appeared recently. A growing feeling on dread rose in her heart as she knew she, just like Kestrelclaw, had fallen in to the disastrous disease. She pushed herself to her paws weakly, her frail frame looked thinner than ever, and her tattered pelt was matted. She glanced up, her amber eyes forlorn, as Meadowthorn entered the elders den. "I'm... not okay..." the elder rasped pitifully, before a cough racked her body.

As for naming the rest of the kits; i'll have a name for one later this afternoon.) A shower of sadness and a sort of controlled hysteria erupted on the leaderless cats. Larkfeather wailed to StarClan, and Hollypaw who was crouching by the nursery trembled in fear. How was the Clan to survive without a leader? Frogpaw scampered over to her his eyes wide, his words incoherent. "I-what? How? What? What?!" Hollypaw looked up st her denmate, a sadness etched in her ever bone. "I...I dont know," she murmured, for once lost for words to explain the tragedy. "She was ok everytime I saw her..." she turned to Frogpaw who was still dazed with shock. Oh StarClan what is to happen to us?Skymoon nodded stiffly as Meadowthorn sent out the directions. As grief stricken all cats were, Snapwind had a point. It was no used to anyone- including the spirit of Rosestar- to sit and act like pigeons. She looked over to Nightbird who sat by the medicine cats den with Blossomheart. The sisters made eye contact and the familiarity of her sister's gaze calmed Skymoon down. But as Blossomheart padded over slowly to her,the strong warrior's look of defeat instilled another bout of fear in her. If the unshakable Blossomheart could be crushed by all this- with more cats on the verge of walking with StarClan- how could anyone go on. "Are you coming?" She hadn't noticed the patched colored she-cat walk past her and she looked back at her with heavy eyes. "Me? But-but im no senior warrior," Skymoon stuttered. Blossomheart flicked her ears. "You've been with us for seasons, Skymoon. The Clan respects you. Lets go." Hesitation stalled Skymoon and she looked back for her sister, but the jet black she-cat was already herding other cats for a patrol. Guess I have to do this alone, she thought and followed Blossomheart to the elders den. |

Horsetail jumped to his paws when Blackbird called out to him. He was desperate to get out of the grief-gripped Clan. He never did well nor tolerated sad emotions- his tough training with Blossomheart (who herself was down now) drilled that in him- and that made him uneasy. His mind was a jumble within seconds of hearing Rosestar's death and he couldnt crack in front of his Clan. aetherNightbird shook her head and lifted her heavy body from the position she was. She wanted to feel more about all the chaos in the Clan but her body was really aching. How on earth am I going to hunt? She wondered exasperatedly. She padded throughout the Clan, searching for warriors to take on the patrol. "Mossyheart- are you up to hunting?" |

cowbird , since you have 12 characters, at least three will need to be sick. The more the better, tbh.)
Meadowthorn padded up to the elders' den just as Tatterpelt stumbled out, wheezing harshly. The golden tabby she-cat let out a gasp before rushing to the elder's side. "Tatterpelt! Why didn't you let the medicine cats know sooner?" She whispered brokenly. "I'll take you to Slowshadow. You need to rest now." Her face stricken with more grief, she offered her shoulder to the elder to help lead her to the medicine cat's den.

Larkfeather nodded to the tom. She was scared of the future of the clan. What was going to happen? Would Kestrelclaw recover? Who the medicine cats find a cure? Would StarClan reach out to her. Shaking the dizziness from her head, the she-cat stood up. "Alright. Let's go find some prey. I think the sick cats will really need some right now."

Frogpaw could only shake his head as Hollypaw tried to make sense of it all as well. As apprentices, they looked to their mentors for guidance. Their mentors looked up to the leader and deputy for theirs! What would happen now with no one to guide them?! Would the clan fall to chaos? Shivering in fear, he barely listened to Meadowthorn. It was only when the warriors started gathering that he realized they were needed. "We-we should see what our mentors might need."

Since Tumbleweed had go off with the rest of the senior warriors, she would be with any warrior there was, but with the reality of the Clan hitting her she felt unmotivated to do anything. Without a leader or a functional deputy who was blessed by StarClan to take the mantle of leadership? |

Finchcall watched the clan with a passive gleam in his eyes, ignoring the sorrow was bubbling under his fur. The tom needed to keep rational thoughts... yes, it was sad that Rosestar had died and that Kestrelclaw was suffering so; however, the clan needed to stay focused. He pushed himself to his paws, swaying for a brief moment as he sucked in some air. The sleek tom hasn't been feeling well lately... deep down he knew he was becoming sick like the others. Yet he was going to patrol and help the clan until he couldn't anymore. His golden eyes traced the older warriors as they went to join Meadowthorn and he twitched his whiskers, he was sure he would hear about it later on.
"Yes," Finchcall responded in a faint voice as his gaze trailed around to find another to join the pair. He knew that Sorrelspots was an efficient hunter... and that hunting would help ease some of the worries that was blooming within camp. He zoned in on Frogpaw and Hollypaw. He felt a twinge of pity for the apprentices during this sad and chaotic time. "Frogpaw! Hollypaw! Come here, you two are going hunting with us," Finchcall called to them, it was probably best to get the younger cats out of camp anyway with the sickness going on.

Hollypaw lifted her head as Finchcall called out to her and Frogpaw, distracting her from her depressing thoughts. She rose to her paws and attempted to look upbeat and focused as she made her way to the warrior. As she neared him however, she noticed the tom's unusually weary stance and his eyes seemed slightly glazed. If he's getting sick he shouldnt be hunting, she thought as sadness filled her. Finchcall was too good of a warrior to fall to the claws of this horrid sickness.

Blackbirds gaze, which had been filled with anxiety and confusion, softened when she watched Horsetail's shocked disbelief. Quietly, she pressed her muzzle against the toms russet flank, then raised her head to give him a comforting lick over his ear. "Let's go, it'll clear our minds to get some fresh kill." Feeling more confident now that she was supporting her clanmates, she turned and gazed around the camp for a moment. Riverpaw, the small silver tabby tom, sat alone by the apprentices den. His eyes were wide with fear and he looked as though he was a kit in the nursery again. "Riverpaw, come!" Blackbird called. Obediently, the tomcat trudged over, although he looked uncomfortable as though he was walking on pointy pine needles. Getting out of camp would help him clear his mind to, hopefully. "Come on, we'll hunt, then eat. The clan needs us to be strong now. Without Rosestar as our leader, and without Kestrelclaw strong enough to earn his nine lives, we can't forget the clan needs to be fed. We have an important role we need to maintain." She nodded to Riverpaw - who gave his pelt a quick shake, then nodded with determination, then she looked to Horsetail. With a flick of her tail, she headed to the camp entrance.

Tatterpelt wheezed out another cough and nodded slowly as she Meadowthorn pressed against her. She shook her head slowly and lowered it, looking crestfallen. "Slowshadow is so busy... I'm just an elder, my time has probably come..." there wasn't so much dread to her voice as there was just a somber tone. Slowshadow had her paws full with all the other sick cats. Tatterpelt was old - she'd fought many battles, hunted much prey. Her frail body was in no condition to battle the sickness. Slowly, she stepped out of the den. "I'll see... Slowshadow..." she wheezed on her way out. She stumbled shakily towards the medicine cat den, but instead of going in and requesting herbs, she sat just inside the entrance and curled. The stubborn elder did not think the medicine cat should waste precious herbs on her.
Foxpounce flicked his tail for Larkfeather to follow before he bounded out of camp. The air instantly smelt more refreshing and momentarily - surrounded by the scents of the forest - Foxpounce could almost convince himself everything would be okay. He glanced back at Larkfeather before he trotted forward. A shiver ran through him and he couldn't help asking, "Who do you think will lead our clan now?" The young warrior looked back to the she-cat, his eyes were uncharacteristically filled with fear. Usually they were determined and shone with pride, but now he looked like a kit being scolded.

Sorrelspots nodded to Finchcall with a small dip of her head. She glanced at Frogpaw and Hollypaw as they bounded over and she took comfort in their youth. Even if sickness shook their clan, they still had so many cats that would work endlessly to support them. She flicked her tail in greeting to them before turning her blue gaze back to Finchcall. "The clan will need lots of fresh kill if we want to keep our strength up. Let's do out best." She turned and started padding off to the camp entrance.

Slowshadow approached Leopardshade, carrying the former leaders kits. He set them in front of the queen before starting to speak. "Morning, Leopardshade." he started. "I'm sure your aware that Rosestar has passed, leaving her kits without anyone to feed them. Are you willing to take up that mantle?" he asked. He looked back at the body of Rosestar. "You don't have to respond just yet, but please, at least watch them while I take care of Rosestar." ( cowbird) |

Snapwind nodded in response to Meadowthorn's request. She wasn't the leader, but as the next of kin to Rosestar, she supposed Meadowthorn's command would do for now. She glanced around the camp, looking for participants to help build more onto the medicine den. The camp was now bustling around her as others went off to their respective duties. She trotted over to Mossywing, who didn't look too preoccupied at the moment. "Hey." she greeted, shortly. "If you need something to do, I could use help with building a new den for the sick cats." ( cowbird) |

Frogpaw's ears twitched as Finchcall suddenly called out for them. The young tom, eager to get out of the camp, rushed over. He nodded to the warriors before glancing back at the nursery. Something suddenly just rung in his head. Turning back to the warriors, Frogpaw asked, "Finchcall, what will happen to Rosestar's kits?"

Meadowthorn rolled her eyes at the elder's stubbornness. Padding up the the entrance, the she-cat called out to the medicine cat and his apprentice. "Slowshadow! Rowanpaw! Tatterpelt is ill. Can you come and make sure she takes her medicine?" She turned at that point and gave the elder a pointed look as if to say You-will-take-this-medicine-and-like-it.

Larkfeather padded slowly beside Foxpounce. The she-cat listened to the sounds and scents of the forest before the tom asked her his question. Ears twitching, the she-cat shrugged. "I don't know." She rasped. She coughed, clearing her throat. "I don't know. Maybe Kestrelclaw will be able to tell us who he wants to take over after him. Or maybe StarClan will send a sign." Falling silent for a moment, the she-cat thought about all the cats in the clan. "Maybe Meadowthorn will lead."

[ I envisioned Soft & Storm being around 34 moons old and Finch is 47 moons.
i will be back in a short while to type up something for my sisters, kits, and my stray apprentice xD ] Shifting on his paws as he watched the two young cats come and joined them. Finchcall cracked a small smile, flickering his tail in greeting go the apprentices. They seemed to handling the news well... or at least the as well as one could. "I hope we are fortune while we are hunting today then," the sleek black tom agreed with a small nod. He forced his paws to follow Sorrelspots, ignoring the slight ache in his lungs.
One of his ears twitched at Frogpaw's question. He couldn't help the wave of sadness he felt. "The one of the queens will take care of them," he mused, flickering Frogpaw's ear. "I am sure either Leopardshade or Softheather is still producing milk," the kits would have the support of the clan behind him and hopefully, soon their father would be able to help care for them.

Hollypaw followed the rest of the cats as they headed out to hunt. She wasnt up to looking for prey if she was honest- with all the sicks cats, lack of leadership and dark mood, she didnt think she could catch a mouse. She thought of the newborn kits as Finchcall replied to Frogpaw and she shook her head. She couldnt imagine not having a mother as a kit- and the way it was looking they were on their ways to orphans too if the deputy didnt get better.

Stormchime watched the cats break into groups. There was longing tint in the feline's eyes, watching as a few groups leaving camp. "That must be nice," she muttered under her breath with a slight bitter undertone and sucked in a some air. Her body tensed for a moment before a couple of rough coughs escaped from her chest.
Watching her sister with a worried expression, Softheather shifted over to rub her tail gently up and down her spine as Stormchime's body was shook by the coughs. "You should probably go back to the medicine cat den," she urged. The white and grey feline pushed herself to her paws, "I need to check on Cloudkit too," the queen meowed in a soft voice, she thought she had been doing a good job at handling the stress of the situation. A sister and a son being sick at the same time was wearing on her. At least Aspenkit was safe and sound within the nursery. She took her tom kit that under no circumstances that she wanted to see him playing in camp... especially during this time.

Sunpaw watched absently as his clanmates milled around the camp, doing their various tasks. The dark ginger tom felt somewhat lost. He blinked owlishly as his gaze drifted around camp. He wasn't sure what he should be doing... most of his denmates were leaving on patrols and who knows about anyone else. This was such confusing time. What does a clan do when their leader and deputy are both out of commission?

aetherHorsetail stumbled out of the camp, nearly toppling over Riverpaw. "Sorry," he muttered, shaking his pelt and sending an embarrased look at the apprentice. He was supposed to be a calming and assurance for the younger cats as a warrior, but he wasnt showing much of that in his haste to leave the mourning camp. "I was uncomfortable in there. Had to get out." He then slipped in his stoic mindset without waiting for a reply and forged on, sniffing for prey with a jumbled up mind. thehorsiestadultLeopardshade looked up warily as Slowshadow moved over to her, his eyes pleading. Rosestar died right in front of her and in all her moons caring for kits and living as a warrior, she had never seen a cat die from kitting and the very notion of it was just wrong. How could StarClan give life and take away another at the same time. And a leader nonetheless. She thought it as cruel. When Slowshadow asked her to take on the responsibility of more kits however, she felt uneasy. Her own health seemed to be on the low side and she was scared she too was coming down with the ravenous illness. Furthermore, she had lost her one of her current litter at birth and she was still shaken from the ordeal. She had many kits and none had ever passed as kits. Flykit, her surviving one was ill himself- this marked his third sunrise in the medicine cat den. The only reason she wasnt fretting over him was because Slowshadow had asked her to comfort Rosestar in what would be her final moments. She heard the weak mewling coming from the dead queens nest and a sense of love and pity flooded her. If she couldnt keep her own kits alive despite her experience, she'd do her best with the ones from her leader. "Of course. I'd never turn a kit away," she finally answered. Mossywing sat dejectedly alone. All the misfortune the Clan was having wasnt a good sign and she didnt need to be a medicine cat to see that. She needed a distraction, a task. When Snapwind came over asking for her help building a makeshift den for the sick cats, she was on her paws in an instant. Anything to help her Clan at this moment would keep her from the dark thoughts that dominated her. Wildfire* - 🦉- Skymoon is about 30-35 moons and Tumbleweed and Blossomheart are at least 50 moons)
