Basically, there are scientists who work at a large lab called the School and they infused kids with the blood of birds, so now there are kids and teens with bird wings and other abilities. Wolf hybrids called Erasers work for the School and are trying to capture and bring back the escaped hybrids, but the Erasers are ruthless and won't hesitate to 'play' with the escaped hybrids before brining them back)

Woo whoooo!!! I haven't done max ride in a long time. My charries name is Blair and she has dark burgundy brown kind of wings. And I'm going to have a slightly younger sarcastic boy named Mason who has light sandy blondeish wings. Do you wanna rp the flock leader?)

alright. My characters will be Melodie and Shadow. Shadow is a young teen who's been mixed with a Red Kite with a 12ft wingspan. His wings are scarlet-brown near his shoulders with a bit of black in it with the rest of his wings black. Melodie is an older teen with a 16ft wingspan. Her wings are white with many black speckles, they highly resemble that of a white gyrfalcon's as that is the bird she was mixed with. She is also the flock leader.)

Blair was awake look for items to make a decent breakfast for the rest of the flock. After they had ditched the School, they had found some little cottage in the woods. It was locked but, luckily some of them had enough skills to sonehow get open a window. The rest of the flock, from what she assumed, was fast asleep. So she took it upon herself to make them a meal. Fortunately, the fridge and cupboards were stocked with cereals and milk, waffles, and syrup. So she started getting everything prepared.
Mason was barely waking up. He groaned wanting to go back to sleep but knowing he wouldn't be able too.He pressed his face into the couch pillow mumbling some unattractive words into the pillow.

Melodie bent down and plucked the rose off the bush and set it in the center of the small white flowers. She pulled the hair holder from her hair and wrapped it around the stems. This will bring some color, she thought happily. She was in a small forest meadow near their place of residence. She had been up for a while and since she hadn't been able to fall back asleep she had decided to go for a walk. Her long, light blonde hair was Ruffles by a soft wind as she made her way back to the flock. Melodie pulled up the window and slipped in, to her surprise she found that Blair was already awake. "Morning," she greeted, pulling out a tall cup and filling it halfway with water. She placed the flowers in and set it on the nearby table. "So, when did you wake up?" She asked curiously.

Shadow ran a hand through his messy black hair as he hesitantly got up to a sitting position. The 13 year old boy unfurled his wings and stretched them as long as he could before folding them against his back. He heard soft talking from below than a murmur coming from Mason. Wonder what's for breakfast? He wondered, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.

"Morning...about half an hour. I thought I'd make everyone breakfast"she explained gently before making her way to the rest of the group,"morning buddy she said softly ruffling Shadows head. "Mase"Blair tapped his shoulder.
"Don't you dare touch my hair too"he grumbled into the pillow.
Blair rolled her eyes,"it's too early for your sarcasm. And you're hair looks ugly right now. I don't think I pull mess it up more"she teased walking back to the kitchen.
Mason groaned and got off the couch rubbing his soft green eyes and making his way to the bathroom. The other night he had been too tired to actually wash off all the dirt from his body.

"How nice of you. I guess you woke up right after I left the house," Melodie mused as she watched Blair go over to the others.
Shadow smiled warmly at Melodie and Blair. "Whatcha cooking Blair? I though I heard someone mention food." He laughed hungrily.

"Starving actually." Melodie replied in amusement, walking back into the kitchen, Shadow at her heals. Then she remembered that she better wake up Twist and Emory. She shook the young girl gently and spoke, "Time to wake up, we're eating now and if you sleep in you won't get any food." Then Melodie walked over to Emory and shook her as well. "Wake up, there won't be any food left if you stay in bed." She walked back into the kitchen again and noticed Shadow sitting down with a plate of waffles. She sighed and picked up a box of cereal that had small tan rings called 'Cheerios' . She poured the cereal into a large bowl and filled it with milk and sugar before grabbing a spoon and sitting down. "Mason, you better hurry with that shower or you'll miss breakfast," She called to the boy in the bathroom before taking a bite of her food.
Shadow picked up a plate and stacked six waffles and drizzled syrup over it before sitting down with a fork. "Shadow, if you only eat sugar you'll never get strong. C'mon, at least drink a cup of milk." He rolled his eyes as Melodie spoke, but he knew she was right so he got up and poured himself a glass of milk. "What'cha gonna eat Blair?" He asked, sitting back down and stuffing his mouth with a forkfull of waffle.

(Hi! Can I jump in?? My characters named Twist, and she has great grey owl wings, which are dark grey. She has curly dark brown hair, well, its more wavy than curly, but thats besides the point ahahaha. Anyways, she's about 9 years old. Theres also Emory, who's 16 with straight black hair with a white streak in it. She has black raven wings.) of corse! The more the merier!) |

"I'm having waffles like you"Blair grinned taking a seat. She served herself two waffles and poured syrup over before also pouring herself a cup of milk to be a good example.
Soon enough, Mason got out the shower. He only wore a pair of jeans and was shirtless as he came to join them at the table. He pushed his hair back out of his face"mornin"he said serving some cereal.

"Blair, you'll turn into a stick if you eat so little!" Shawn teased light-heartedly. He had always been a big eater, he would starve if he only ate two waffles.
Melodie rolled her eyes before taking another bite of her cereal. "Good morning Mason. Sleep well?" She asked, wondering if anyone had any interesting dreams.

Twist let out a loud groan, rolling off of her bed and landing on the ground with an ungraceful thud. She yawned, her brown eyes looking drowsy as she looked up at Melodie, "Do I have to get up?" She called after her, before following the girl out to the kitchen. She snagged the last two waffles, grabbing the syrup bottle and dowsing the waffles with the heavenly liquid. The nine year olds hair looked like she stuck her finger in a socket, although she didn't seem to notice. She stuffed a huge bite of waffles into her mouth, eyeing Shadows plate mischievously.
Emory muttered something into her pillow, getting up with a glare. The scowl was still on the teens face as she made her way to the kitchen. There was no way this girl was a morning person, and she wasn't going to act relatively human until she drank something, either cold or caffeinated. She kept her wings tight against her back as she made her way past Twist, rubbing her head off handedly.

Melodie shook her head and got up, pouring a small glass of milk and setting it down next to Twist's plate. "Don't think you're getting out of drinking milk just 'cause you're little. Seriously, it's the only healthy thing here."

"Emory, there's an energy drink in the fridge"she called out to her knowing she's want to get coffee in her system. She laughed softly at Shadow,"I'm just not as hungry as you are"she teased. Truth was, she and Melodie were the adults. She felt responsible for them to eat as much as they needed because of their energy. She knew she had the strength to eat less and use her strength properly. So she put the kids first.
"thanks for the breakfast B"Mason told her nodding.
Blair smiled at Twist,"you don't wanna be scrawny do you?"she said backing up Melodie.

"Milk's on the counter!" Melodie called over before turning to Twist. "I don't think so. You either drink the milk or we go out picking edible mushrooms for you to eat." She teased, though she was half serious.
"No." Shadow pouted, moving his plate closer to himself. He took another large bite of his food hungrily, eating fast as he could so that Twist didn't get the change to somehow steal his food.

"Thanks!" Emory called back, snagging it before any of the older ones could get it. The dark haired girl opened it, sipping on the energy drink, letting it wake her up. She was still out of it, not thinking about food. She had stayed up all night reading a novel she snagged from Blaire. She went to bed at 4.
Twist hesitated, "No, I guess not... But it tastes bad!" She told the older girl, her feet swinging from the chair. She then stared at Melodie in horror, grabbing the cup and sipping down the white liquid.The mutant was unlike the others, as she was rather tiny, instead of tall for her age. She looked more like she was seven years old than nine. Maybe it was because she's been sneaking her milk to the others in the flock instead of drinking it.

(Awesome! Thanks!  ) Mikel wriggled his nose in disdain as the morning sun hit his closed eyes. He sighed, moving the covers off him and sitting up with a stretch, raising his arms in the air. After a large yawn, he scratched his shoulders, slipping off his bed and towards where he heard other voices. His blonde hair was sticking up all over the place at the top of his head, and his eyes looked drowsy. He even had some stubble starting to grow back on his chin. He scratched at it then. "Wonderful..." He mumbled, "Now I'll have to shave it off again, somehow..." He stepped into the room everyone else was in, eating breakfast. "Mornin', everyone." He smiled. Oakley was sitting on a tree branch outside the house, relaxing as the wind breezed through her open wings. She had gotten up early that morning, a nightmare about the school shocking her awake and not allowing her anymore rest, no matter her attempts. So, she decided to sit outside until she was ready to go back in. She could remember the School...the horror of it all. She grimaced, the memories coming back. "I'm just glad we left..." She muttered, looking out at the sunrise. |

"No, I'll drink the milk," Twist said quickly, drinking the milk quickly, only gagging twice. A record number for her. She dove into her second waffle, pouting at Shadow. "Why not? Its a good trick!" She told him, swallowing a bite of waffle.
Emory stuck her tongue out at Melodie, "Ah, fine." She told her, grabbing a small bowl of cereal, and hesitated, wondering what it would taste like if she dumped the energy drink into the bowl of cereal. Then she would have liquid for her cereal, and could have her drink. She glanced at Mikel, wondering if she should offer some of her drink to him. He looked like he could use it.

"Good," Melodie said happily. "Morning Mikel, you've seen Oakly around? She wasn't in her bed earlier." She asked in slight concern.
"No, I don't trust you. What ever your trick is you'll somehow manage to steal my food." He said before scarfing down the waffles 'till he had eaten most of it, all the while eying Twist.
