how come it seems like the cats by the lake struggle more with StarClan and receiving help from them, compared to the forest cats?
because I just got done reading Darkest Night and I remember Alderheart or one of the other medicine cats getting mad at them and saying that they weren't as strong near the lake than they were in the forest.. was there something in The New Prophecy that I missed? did they ever explicitly say that StarClan couldn't reach the lake territories as well as they could the forest? and did they ever mention why?
Is it because the StarClan Wi-fi doesn't reach out over to the lake? i'm kidding-

Because StarClan is one big reoccurring joke.

Because it was when they got to the lake where Starclan started losing more and more of their IQ to begin with.

Starclan has proven to be more of a liability rather than a useful tool to help the clans solve problems. Maybe it was build up to the current arc but I doubt it.

I always thought it would be interesting if in the second series they really were separated from StarClan forever, or at least for the whole back half of TNP, when they moved to the lake. They seemed to be setting that up with everyone worrying about how they would reach StarClan, but no, they just conveniently solved that by having the moon pool appear. It would have been much more interesting if StarClan wasn't there and how that would affect what was going on (the WindClan conflict, Mothwing's atheism), and then especially in the third series when the three are supposed to be/set up to be (though they never really went through with this either) terrifying because they have more power than StarClan in a society where the idea of more power than StarClan is unthinkable. This also would have made the whole Sol plot, and Blackstar's disillusionment with the lake leading him to side with Sol, make a lot more sense.

It's so funny because in the OG series and even kinda TNP StarClan felt like a very mysterious presence. They didn't intervene as much as they do now. It seems like now the Clans dont want to do anything unless StarClan says ok, while back then there were the occasional omen.
