"And in the upcoming Super Edition Graystripe’s Vow, Graystripe—acting as temporary leader while Firestar goes off on the quest to find SkyClan—and Cinderpelt go to the Moonstone to get advice from StarClan about a problem ThunderClan is facing. When the advice that comes back is less than clear, Graystripe is disappointed. He’s left wondering how Firestar deals with this sort of advice—is there some sort of trick to understanding it that he’s missing?" This is from a new article on the warriors website (Writing a Good Prophecy): warriorcats.com/content/article/writing-a-good-prophecySo, yeah. Apparently, Graystripe's Vow takes place during Firestar's Quest and not during TBC. I'm confused...

That's weird, though. That email specifically said it takes place during TBC? Maybe this is in reference to a flashback or something. I'm not buying it. We'll see when we get the blurb next month.

Hmm. That is strange. I mean, I’m not complaining if it truly does take place then, because actually that would be interesting to see those few moons where Graystripe did act as leader. But, because it was said the book takes place during TBC, I’m tempted to believe this is fake...I guess we’ll see.

I prefer that to GV being in TBC for some reason. I hope this is really the case, in which they changed their minds on what to write it about. I always wondered what happened in ThunderClan during FQ.

Uh... okay. So does this mean it won't take place in TBC? We saw Graystripe as leader in Firestar's place when he went to find SkyClan in one of the short stories in BOTC when they were dealing with foxes. Is it that problem? Or is it something else? Now I really want to see the blurb for GV that supposed to come out possibly next month. And what exactly is his "vow" supposed to be in the first place. His vow of taking care of TC while Firestar is gone? I'm confused.

Huh. Interesting. Although, when I first heard the announcement, I was actually wondering if it was going to take place while Firestar was away, but I also knew that we had a glimpse of that already with the fox story in BotC and the then the email made it sound like it would take place during TBC, so now I'm back to thinking that this is pointless, unless this is part of a flashback or something. I wonder if the fox story will at least be mentioned, though.
Hopefully it'll at least be of good quality.

If this is true, one good thing, is that WindClan will more than likely be likeble in the scenes they appear in.
I'm actually kind of excited if this is true, because not only will WindClan be more likeable, but there will also be no Bramblestar x Squirrelflight drama, no Jayfeather, Crowfeather will just be a little baby, oh and Littlecloud!

Okay, found the e-mail. This is what it said:
"Without going into too much detail, I can tell you the reason we're opting for Graystripe with this one is because of certain plot developments that happen in the middle books of our new arc, THE BROKEN CODE, creating a new story for him that we could only tell now, while THE BROKEN CODE was in progress."
Re-reading this, it doesn't really mention GV taking place during TBC. It just says that plot developments that are currently happening creates a new story that they could only tell now. I'm still confused, though.

We already got a glimpse of what happened while Graystripe was acting leader, so I wonder what these plot developments are, especially since it's set several years before the current situation.

Honestly, I'm far more interested in seeing Graystripe's temporary rule in ThunderClan rather than his life as an elder now. Plus, more Cinderpelt is an absolute bonus.

Maybe something happens with Ashfur under Graystripe's reign, and it plays a part in his assumed return?

Maybe there is time travel involved. Or maybe Rock is involved.

Maybe there is time travel involved. Or maybe Rock is involved. Given the increasing amount of fiction (literally fantasy) with possession now being a thing. I wouldn’t be surprised

As much as I wouldn't mind seeing Cinderpelt again, I hope this really is not the case for the book...

I suspect this will just be the prologue and will set up his vow and how he'll go about handling the Brashfur situation.

If this is what Graystripe's Vow will be about, then it seems interesting.

I'm interested to see what they'll pack into a 400 page book.
Seeing him as a temporary leader would be a little more interesting than as an elder.

I'm cool with this.
I've always wondered what was going on back at Thunderclan during the time of FQ while Firestar was rebuilding Skyclan. He was always worrying for his clan afterall and if Graystripe was doing okay running it without him, so it'll be nice to see another SE that takes place at the same time but in a completely different perspective. (Similar to BP and CrP actually, only with the PoVs spread far apart instead of literally living next door)
Also I want the old forest back, ffs bring it back.

Eh, I’m fine with it. The actual plot sounds a bit drab in my opinion but I am beyond excited to see the old forest and old TC cats again, especially Cinderpelt. I miss ‘em.
