Does anyone else think that Chiveclaw might have been a warrior before being a medicine cat? I know there's no evidence to point to the fact, but I don't really see a medicine cat, who started out as a medicine cat, having the suffix claw, which claw cats are known for being aggressive and good fighters.
Speaking of WindClan and medicine cats...
They seem to wait FOREVER before getting an apprentice. Apparently, Larkwing from Mapleshade's Vengeance was the same Larkwing from Cloudstar's Journey, and they didn't have an apprentice in MV, so they must have been PRETTY old when they finally got one.
Hawkheart was a full grown warrior, if you don't count Goosefeather's Curse, when he became Chiveclaw's apprentice.
Hawkheart was pretty old when Barkface became his apprentice, though, everyone else might have been too afraid to ask him to train them lol.
Barkface was super old when Kestrelflight because his apprentice.
Now, Kestrelflight is elder age, and he still doesn't have an apprentice.

I don't think Kestrel is at an elder's age, so he have a good few moons left in him. Still plenty of time to find an apprentice.

Back in my day warriors retired at 6 years old, you rarely got to survive with any of your siblings still being around, you didn't live long enough to see your great grandchildren being born, and name changes were embraced! **waggles cane at the youths**
