*Riverstream; Twistedbranch*
Stealthfire “Hey, Twistedbranch!” Riverstream called to the pretty she-cat. Since his sister had left him, maybe he’d find someone to hang out with. Maybe like his crush. He continued to pad along to her, calling, “Twistedbranch!” He didn’t know how she would react to him - they didn’t know each other too well, and even if she did know him, it would be worse. He’d screwed up with other she-cats, but he had learned his lesson a lot of times, so maybe now it would work. He had failed way too many times to fail with yet another she-cat. But so far Twistedbranch was the prettiest she-cat he’d approached. He couldn’t screw up with her or he’d be disappointed.

[Hope everyone can forgive my shorter replies this eve, I'm a little typed out from writing applications today! P.S. Excuse me while Hickory has fond remembrances of Cometpaw's yet unnamed father lol P.P.S. Actually Hickory has 0 family could he be the father's brother/Comet's uncle?]
Hickorysight / Mistberry 𝚜𝚑𝚢𝚒𝚗𝚞𝚗 / Cometpaw 𝘊𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘴𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘮 ꕤ
The grey tom sat with a slight smile on his face as the mother and son interacted. His parents were long deceased, and though in his dreams he and Emberstar prattled over their kits like Mistberry did with Cometpaw, that was not the path they held. His choice was to be with Emberstar, and for the sake of the clan, her choice was to take the role of leader. Having kits was something he had long given up. "I'll see if I can get any hints out of Driftwind. Though I know you're more than capable." The sunny old tom winked at Cometpaw, fully happy to believe in the young cat even if the apprentice himself wouldn't. "As for your father, if my word means anything, he would have been very proud indeed." If the pain of losing so many of his former clanmates could be eased by anything for Hickorysight, it was by watching their kin grow strong without having to have seen even a fraction of the violence committed against their ancestors.
---
Tawnypaw / Stormchaser 🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ
Skittering along beside the large tom, Tawnypaw picked up her pace so she could watch her mentor as he spoke. The she-cat often cared little for that which didn't involve her directly, but hearing Stormchaser speak for so long, and about himself no less, fixated her on his voice, so much lower than her own, filled with age and experience. The more the tabby she-cat heard about the life her clan had lived before her, the more it perplexed her. The way the clan was run seemed so simple now, as if no one had ever dared train apprentices any differently, or treated each other with anything but unified care. She normally would have made some explanation as to how fighting was her favourite too, and weren't they just oh so similar, but her curiosity was too great. "Your mentor didn't teach you hunting?" she echoed, "But... what about the code?" The life he spoke about seemed a long way away from the code she knew by heart. Stormchaser's mother...She thought for awhile. It was hard to imagine any she-cat fussing over the massive, stoic tom, and even more difficult to picture him as an apprentice. She would have to ask Lichenstone about his mate the next time Tawnypaw cared for the elder. Surely the ancient tom's memory could tell her plenty about his son as a young cat, and he would probably be far more forthcoming than her reticent mentor as well.

I'm going a bit plot mad today yay thought I'd make the father and brother Halfdawn lost in her bio, could come in handy for StarClan stuff/Dark Forest shenanigans. 𝘊𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘴𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘮 ꕤ I thought it'd make more sense for her to be conflicted about Palethorn if one of her kin actually was for Dark Forest and she tried to save him anyway, that way she has a bit more temptation for either side? *Dark Forest* Sharpstone - sandy tan tabby tom with dark green eyes. Halfdawn's brother, fought against Emberstar's rebellion and died.
*StarClan* Loudbear - dark brown and black tabby tom with amber eyes. Halfdawn's father, died fighting for Emberstar in first rebellion.

Halfdawn / Fallowslate ᔕɿɱƿՆעᗰעς੮ע
Halfdawn laughed cheerily at Fallowslate's response. "You'd even eat cobwebs and yarrow? Because that's about all I'm guaranteed to catch." She smiled at her hunting offer. Ever the teacher and guide, Fallowslate, if not a mentor, was perfect as a mother. The miraculous bestowing of little Tawnykit and Monarchkit upon the unfairly kitless queen was another strong reason the medicine cat could not turn away from StarClan, no matter how much they had taken and allowed to occur. "You know," she replied, "I might just take you up on that one of these days." A tiny part of Halfdawn pained her a little, maybe that someday would never come. She had felt wonderful the last moon or two, but how long until the dark returned? It was almost as if things, not just for her, but for the whole clan, had been too good for too long. Halfdawn wished she could tell herself she was being silly, and to live peaceable in her sunny namesake, but she alone had seen every single wounded and dying clanmate of the former war, many of them she helplessly watched over at the exact moment they met StarClan. She was so filled with happiness that the rest of her older clanmates had genuine chances at moving on, but how could she ever after all her eyes had seen, and all she had been unable to do?
All these thoughts flashed within her as familiarly as the sun rose and set. She continued to eat away at the prey before her, her teeth hitting soft, hollow bone and crunching easily by. Monarchpaw. "I'm glad to hear she tells you so." The medicine cat hoped her apprentice truly believed she was learning plenty from her, but Halfdawn was no reader of others, especially the young. Unless Monarchpaw acted out, she didn't know where the young she-cat stood most of the time. "Yes, the two of them are certainly progressing well, and remaining...spirited." It was no secret that both young she-cats had personalities that would bend to no one but themselves. They were each of powerfully unique dispositions, to put it lightly, but Halfdawn never tried to dwell on their odd and mysterious souls. Clearly, StarClan simply did not wish for her to know of their origins, at least not yet.
With Fallowslate's question, Halfdawn paused, pretending to be taking an extra tough bite of bird, chewing slowly and meaningfully. After pondering on it, she thought it best not to worry the queen. While Halfdawn wasn't sure as of late how much Monarchpaw hated the leader's decision, she certainly knew that the apprentice hadn't had an unbelievable change of heart toward her role as a future medicine cat as opposed to a future warrior. In a half truth, she meowed, "She knows how important it is for the clan to have a medicine cat, seeing as I've been in the position for dozens of moons by now. Her potential will serve her well."

Twistedbranch / Riverstream jayfeather
Lying down in rest from her earlier hunt, Twistedbranch noticed Rowanwillow approaching Dizzydance. She narrowed her eyes at her brother, always the cheerier one, perfectly happy to go after a she-cat this early in the day. Though the two both had routines of morning escapades on their own, Twistedbranch was far more content using her time afterwards remaining in solitude until a patrol was called. For these reasons, the scarred warrior was perplexed at the least and unenthused at best when Riverstream called out her hard earned name. Her wide set eyes fixed on the approaching tom, mangled tail twitching with discomfort. "Yes?" she replied. There must be an important reason he wished to speak with her, as she otherwise saw little friendly attention from cats she wasn't already close with. "Is something happening?" she questioned further. If there was action, she wouldn't want to be left out.

*Riverstream; Twistedbranch*
Stealthfire
Riverstream got excited when she responded. “Um, no, just uh, saying hi,” he said. “So, um, how have you been doing lately, Twistedbranch?” He asked, his tone soft. He didn’t know how she would like his sudden appearance, but he hoped it worked. He wrapped his tail around his paws, sitting down, trying to look tough. He cleared his through the and met her pretty green eyes. He didn’t want to seem too overwhelming at his large size, so he tried to hunker down a bit next to the she-cat. He took a glance toward the prey pile - he was hungry - he had different things to do now, though. He had to do good on this - he couldn’t leave in the middle.

Something about four miles east of a smile flickered across the muscled warrior’s expression, something about as close as a smile as the older warrior usually ever came, the brief amusement appeared more like a grimace, which was equally fitting for the memories sparked to life at the apprentice’s relentless querying. “The warrior code wasn’t something I knew about until I had reached deep into warriorhood,” he explained with a shrug, a knot working its way up the back of his throat so quick it nearly choked him. The life he had lead before that knowledge... ascending to StarClan might well now be rendered a kittens fantasy, there was no leisurely space reserved for him there after the life he had lead. Necessity might have demanded it, but the guilt was a shadow he’d never shake. “A warriors worth was built upon their capacity to kill and slay and hurt,” his words were cruel yet bitterly honest, “Anything else outside of that didn’t matter all that much to us,” his tail lashed, reasons like this were the cause of his preference towards silence. Anything else brought the memories shuddering back through him, things he would much rather have long left forgotten in the shadows. But before the apprentice could offer much in the way of response the tom slowed his pace, Lightning Point came into view and in honesty the tom was grateful for the sight. I’d like to make it known I’m very excited to throw ember at hickory at some point.

[I'll free Hickory up in like the next reply or so if you wanted to do Ember if hawk/cactus are cool? Am almost unable to wait for the two of them ahhh also 【 ᵗʷᶦˡᶦᵍʰᵗ 】 I've gotten all sibling relationshippy with my last Twisted post and this Tawny post and none of them have even spoken yetxD]
Tawnypaw / Stormchaser 🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ "But you're such a good warrior. You must have lived your life by it, whether or not you knew its words," she meowed without thinking. It was a simple sentence, but one of the most heartfelt things the she-cat actually believed that left her lips. She wouldn't dream of any other mentor. Stormchaser was so capable, and had survived through the last war. To Tawnypaw, he was far better than having a warrior who had not seen the rebellion. Even if Stormchaser rarely talked about it, and when he did it did not inspire faraway looks of fond, fiery glory, he had still fought bravely to defend their clan, the apprentice believed. The savvy apprentice thought to ask next about Stormchaser's siblings, if his mother was close enough to teach him to hunt for his own survival, and if Lichenstone was the placable cat she knew today, his siblings were likely close with the quiet tom too.
Too unwilling to overstep the small bit of ground she had gained learning about her mentor, she thought better of it. If she didn't already know of Stormchaser's siblings, then they were already dead. The ginger apprentice overthought it then. It was certainly possible to love one's parents but not one's littermates as well. She loved Fallowslate dearly, but Monarchpaw... her littermate stood in the way of Tawnypaw becoming the most extraordinary cat the clan had yet to see. They had always been compared to one another. Tawnypaw did not judge others, but Monarchpaw was a personal threat to her individuality through no fault of the she-cat's own. Tawnypaw sometimes made herself believe that she was the only kit of her litter. If they didn't know who her parents were, there wasn't any solid proof that she and Monarchpaw were sisters. The day Tawnypaw learned of Emberstar's decision for her sister was a sweet relief. No more comparing, no more competition, Tawnypaw would be the warrior and Monarchpaw would be the medicine cat. It even meant she would leave apprenticehood earlier than her sister, to top things off. With no malice in her heart, Tawnypaw thought that with Monarchpaw in a world of her own now, the tabby she-cat might actually be able to let her guard down and build a relaxed relationship with her sibling.
Consumed in contemplation, Tawnypaw had been silent as Stormchaser offered his thoughts. The only way to buy her silence was in reality to begin her thinking about herself and her own troubles, a tricky thing for those who knew her little. As they caught sight of Lightning Point, the apprentice felt a transition from their established conversation on their journey to their usual rapport of delightful training and impressing. She scampered ahead, wishing to warm up her stout hind legs for their maximum springing capability. "Alright!" she called behind her. "Let's get to work!" she exclaimed with glee.

Twistedbranch / Riverstream jayfeather
The golden brown she-cat's affronting stare turned into a slight glower. No, clearly there was nothing she had missed that was so unbelievably exciting. Her denmate simply wanted to talk with her. Unless he had something of fascinating interest, or a chance for action of some sort, the prickly warrior would not engage with his conversation to her fullest passionate extent. "I've been the same," she stated. "Everything in this territory is always the same, obviously. When would anything ever change?" Bitterly, Twistedbranch shook her head as visions of Starfall flew past her thoughts. Back then, no day was ever the same, and nothing was ever boringly safe. She spotted Riverstream eyeing the fresh-kill pile. "I caught a small mouse earlier. I saw that Fallowslate's already brought Darkblossom and Halfdawn prey, want to share it with me?" At the very least, she could get a meal into her before she forced her way into a patrol in the slight chance it could come across something of interest.

Riverstream/ Twistedbranch Stealthfire The tom nodded eagerly. He would finally do something with Twistedbranch! He got serious though and turned toward the prey pile. He walked past the warrior den and stopped. Moonshadow was curled in a ball looking miserable. He hesitated. Riverstream had wanted to hang out with Twistedbranch. But if his sister was upset... No, she’s probably just sleeping, Riverstream thought. Yeah, just sleeping. Riverstream continued walking to the prey pile, but his chest was tight. Had he just let down his sister? No, she’s just sleeping, Riverstream thought. Just dreaming. He felt two sides of himself. One side wanted to see if Moonshadow was okay, but the other side wanted things to work out with Twistedbranch. “Soooooo,” Riverstream mewed casually when he brought back prey to Twistedbranch.
