I love how these two guys are probably the most outspoken in their clans, and they're both grey cats named after fire related things.
Not only that, but they both have mates whose names start with the letter s.
I have a theory...
What if they're brothers?
Emberfoot has darker paws, like a LOT of ShadowClan cats, Shrewfoot, Blackstar, Spiderfoot
I think Emberfoot and Scorchfur are about the same age too.
What if Sedgewhisker and Emberfoot bonded over the fact that they're both half-clan?

Hmm...I dunno but it would be cool. Yeah, and my theory was busted, I looked through the allegiances, and Emberfoot was mentioned as a warrior, several books before Scorchfur was. I am curious as to who Scorchfur's mother is, the only cats who are listed as queens in ShadowClan around the time that he appears, are Tawnypelt (which we know it isn't her) and Snowbird, and I really hope it's not Snowbird. Maybe she just wasn't listed. Maybe he's some random kit that ShadowClan kidnapped |

WindClan has Leaftail, Emberfoot, Dewspots, Willowclaw (it'd be cool if she was Mudclaw's daughter, to continue on with the claw family name, however, I think he died, way before she was born) Hootwhisker, Owlwhisker, Weaselfur, Whiskernose, Slightfoot, Oatclaw (to go back to Mudclaw and the claw family name, it'd be cool if he was Willowclaw's son), Harestar, Kestrelflight, etc. ShadowClan has Stonewing and Wasptail (who I theorize are from Dawnpelt and Crowfrost's BS litter) Scorchfur, Crowfrost, Pinenose, Shrewfoot, Spiderfoot, Redwillow, etc |

My personal headcanon is that Emberfoot and Spiderfoot are littermates. In fact, I still want to know what happened to Spiderfoot. The story he was in in BOTC took place during Eclipse. I also headcanon Spiderfoot as the father of Scorchfur and Shrewfoot. That'd be really cool! I wonder if Redwillow is also related to them? He's an apprentice at the same time they are, so was Olivepaw and Owlpaw, I could see Olivepaw and Redwillow being siblings |
