Yep, but it was originally both Shattered Ice and Jackdaw's Cry. I never understood why it was changed in the final version. Especially since he's kind of a tunneler here already. Really? What changed about it? Nothing really. It's the same story about the blizzard. They just took out his name out of the final version. |

I love the friendship between Jackdaw's Cry and Shattered Ice, I wonder if they could be related, like father and son or something?
I'm also really starting to like Jagged Peak in this book, I think he might be my favorite out of the three brothers right now, which is kind of funny, because in book one, he was my least favorite, and Clear Sky was my favorite, but now he's my least favorite.
Speaking of Clear Sky.. I know he's being a brute because he's afraid of losing more cats who are close to him, but he's taking it wayyy too far.

I'm on book 3 now, and the allegiances are a little off.
First of all, Moon Shadow is back from the dead, Birch and Pebble Heart got pelt color changes.
I also don't understand why Jackdaw's Cry and Falling Feather are described as young cats, and Jagged Peak isn't, even though he's younger than them.
Oh well, this book is called The First Battle, so it sounds like it'll be interesting

I keep getting everyone mixed up, Jackdaw's Cry and Jagged Peak, Turtle Tail and Tall Shadow, and I just got Gray Wing and Gorse Fur mixed up.
It's not that their characters are similar or anything, it's just that I misread the names at first lol
Does anyone else do this?

That's completely understandable, though, I never mixed up those two, I don't remember ever seeing them in the same book together, but they probably were. I always mix up Molewhisker and Mousewhisker (but the books themselves do it more than I do) lol I also used to mix up Crookedstar and Brokenstar all the time |

When Wind Runner and Gorse Fur announced that they were going to have kits, I thought that Rainswept Flower and Jagged Peak were also going to announce that they were having kits, but sadly, they didn't

I'm on book four now, Eric Cartman, I mean, Tom is back, and it seems like Holly and Jagged Peak are getting close, though, I was wrong about Falling Feather and Rainswept Flower, so I doubt anything will happen between them.
It's weird how friends in this series have more chemistry and scenes together than couples in the other books.
Well, Holly and Jagged Peak are having kits together, I'm glad I wasn't wrong for once lol
Tom became slightly likeable, and then he died, like most bad (as in mean, not badly written) characters do.
And now....the plague!
Speaking of the plague, why is one of Wind Runner's kits a she-kit now?
They stated like five times in the previous book that she had one she-kit and three toms, I mean, if it was only in the allegiances where the mistake was made, it'd be understandable, but it was in the main text.

Kate forgot that the Clans weren't yet formed, so she named him like a Clan kit because he was always going to die. Kate said that if Emberkit had lived she would have named him Ember Heart due to his big heart.
I don't like Tom and I never will. But he did save Sparrow Fur, so I'm grateful for that since I really like her.
I thought that Falling Feather and Fox were going to get together, but then Fox died.

I'm on book 5 now, book 4 was wild.
I know this wasn't the case, and that he was right to mistrust her, but Lightning Tail's behavior towards weird-eyed Star Flower and Thunder, made me think of a person who's always been in love with their best friend, but too afraid to share their feelings, or something.
Speaking of Star Flower...she was so weird.
She was all like,
"Look, look at my special eyes!"
Anyway, Slate seems pretty cool, I like her sense of humor, but it seems like they're trying to make her perfect or something, I don't really care much for perfect characters who always do the right thing, and never fail.
However, I haven't seen THAT much of her, so maybe that will change.

I don't see how he can get worse, first rejecting his brother, then his son, and then starving a cat he was raised with, and killing cats he was raised with. He's not completely evil though, he felt guilt for what he did, and he did it out of fear, and he did help Sparrow Fur, and he seems like he's trying to make things right. But he's soooo stupid. I wouldn't be surprised if SkyClan is actually cursed, and it's his fault for all the trouble he caused. |
