This is just contradictory. It's been stated many times that cats with nine lives still do age like normal warriors, and that tends to be a big problem with the whole system - even if having a leader with nine lives is a great way to stop cats from overthrowing them, it means they are always living very long lives and considered to sacred to ever retire, so cats like Bluestar and Tallstar (and Onestar, though he was always a bad leader...) end up leading to the point where they are senile to the point of being unfit for the job and causing problems. But I guess Kate just wants to throw that all away so she won't ever be forced to make anything happen in RiverClan (the way she was so flippant about both this and the Reedwhisker question)

*Reads page* So Kate doesn't want Crowstar, thinks Kestrelflight should have an apprentice (don't we all) and doesn't want Berrynose as leader or even deputy.

On one hand I Do think RiverClan needs something interesting, but on the other. I hope this means she outlives Graystripe. I want Mistystar to be the ultimate old cat
