do people even do these anymore?
yeah hi my name's baird, you've probably seen me around these parts before. i really love channeling my creative energy into writing, so every so often i try and recruit some of y'all into my chaotic neutral mind to see what's going on. lately i've been discovering some moving songs and i've got the muse for plots for em (of course right before finals).
things to know abt me before soliciting me to roleplay with you,
- i'm a busy person with a lot of commitments i absolutely cannot flake on. those will always take priority over this. sorry (not sorry).
- i can generally promise at least one well-written reply a week, but this can change with my schedule. i'll keep you informed.
- i write a shit ton (refer to my recent posts). i understand it's a lot to ask, but try to match it--it's just a preference i have and i lose muse with short replies.
- i also really like to plot. seriously, i'll talk your ear off with headcanons and aesthetics and music playlists etc etc!! be prepared for that
- as far as plots are concerned, i generally draw from darker/more mature themes. i'll ask you about your specific triggers but i often write gritty characters/circumstances!
- i'm also more rooted in realism (not much fantasy). slice of life, but cooler and more interesting.
cool? cool. if you're interested in striking up a conversation about one of the plots below with me, send me a private message. if you have discord, i'm often active on there during daytime hours since i have the mobile phone app.
regarding these plots,
you may notice they're kind of short, and that's the point. i really don't like super highly structured plots because i feel that they leave so little room for individual creativity to fill in the gaps, so i created the exact opposite. this is also meant to encourage a lot of dialogue between us to sort out some of the major details. so if these are inspiring you to take a certain direction, please let me know! the resulting plot we come up with will be a beautiful product of collaboration!
now, without further ado.
hollywood's bleeding - post malone
two young celebrities--singers, models, artists, socialites, sources of scandal--find themselves beyond jaded by this fast-paced, hedonistic, exhausting lifestyle they must live to stay relevant and keep their names in the press. they also consequently find each other. a strange relationship develops.
dead yet - gabriel black
two townies (locals, homebodies, whatever you want to call them) become startlingly aware of the stagnancy they're becoming more and more used to in their small town. they decide to do something drastic to change it up and feel something again.
you should see me in a crown - billie eilish
they're young, smart, and, importantly, desperate as hell to own something, anything. they're perfect little storms for a grassroots organized crime syndicate.
( more tba eventually as i keep comin across groovy tunes)
