( Robinbreeze) A quick pounce and a bite to its neck. With an action that almost felt robotic to her, Mistyfur picked up the mouse she had just killed and glanced around. She was alone, as she almost always was these days. She had already caught two other mice and a robin, and since there were others out hunting she would overhunt if she caught anymore. She turned and trudged her way back towards where she had stashed her other catches. As she did so, a slight movement to her left caught her eye. She glanced over to see Drizzlepaw walking towards camp with a rabbit in her mouth. Mistyfur couldn't help but feel impressed that an apprentice had managed to fell a rabbit all on their own, so she set the mouse down and called out to Drizzlepaw. "Nice catch."

( Robinbreeze) Mistyfur nodded, flicking her tail at the mouse she had been carrying. "I've got this mouse and two others, as well as a robin," she said. She tilted her head slightly as she examined the rabbit Drizzlepaw had caught before returning her attention to the apprentice. "You must be pretty talented, bringing down a rabbit by yourself at your age," she meowed in praise.

( ๐๐ช๐ป๐ฝ๐ฑ ๐๐ป๐ช๐ถ๐ซ๐ต๐ฎ) Drizzlepaw w/ Mistyfur"Maybe... I used a rock to propel myself onto the rabbit. I think it was just luck that I actually managed to grasp it enough," Drizzlepaw mewed, looking down as she said it. Then, she asked, "Are you done hunting? I was thinking we could walk back to camp together."

( Robinbreeze) As Mistyfur was generally fast enough to chase down a rabbit, Drizzlepaw's method seemed like an ingenious strategy to her. "You sound pretty talented to me. I normally take the brute force approach and just run them down," she said with a grin. Despite the apprentice's obviously non-threatening tone, when Mistyfur was asked if she was done hunting she felt uncertainty and anxiety welling within her. She fought back the feeling that she wasn't contributing enough and forced herself to continue smiling at the apprentice. "Yeah, I'm about done. Unless a mouse runs over my paws I won't catch anything else today."

( ๐๐ช๐ป๐ฝ๐ฑ ๐๐ป๐ช๐ถ๐ซ๐ต๐ฎ) (I hope your ok with me just skipping to the camp) Drizzlepaw w/ Mistyfur"Ok," she grabbed her rabbit and turned back in the direction of the camp. The sun was nice on her pelt as she walked out from under the trees. After entering the camp, Drizzlepaw make a beeline toward the freshkill pile, her jaw aching for carrying the rabbit. Once it was stashed on the pile, she headed toward the apprentices den, hopefully for a peaceful nap.

( ๐๐ช๐ป๐ฝ๐ฑ ๐๐ป๐ช๐ถ๐ซ๐ต๐ฎ) "That sounds fun," squeaked the small tom. He still looked tired, but he was willing to rest up by staying near the medicine cat. It was at least a way to get that hesitant look to leave Bumblepaw's face. "Thank you," he squeaked as well, padding away. His head swiveled left, then right, looking for the medicine cat and a good place to sit down.

( Robinbreeze, skipping back to camp is fine.) Mistyfur padded back into camp right after Drizzlepaw and followed the apprentice to the fresh-kill pile. She silently deposited her prey in the pile then glanced around the clearing. She didn't see Sparrowstar anywhere, and it seemed like Drizzlepaw was going off to do her own thing. Before she knew it, her paws were taking her back towards the entrance to head out again. She wasn't sure if she was going on an impromptu border patrol, or just finding a place to relax a while, but she didn't feel like staying in camp. ( mintedstar/fur๐ฆ) Bramblepath was sorting herbs in his den, as per his usual routine. With every herb that he found in full stock, his relief grew. He wasn't normally the anxious sort, but as he was the only medicine cat and didn't have an apprentice, it always worried him a little when he had to leave the camp to gather herbs. After all, who knew what could happen while he was gone? Pushing another pile of herbs back to their usual place, he glanced back toward the entrance of his den and noticed Mallowkit heading his way.

"What are you doing?" asked Mallowkit lazily. He was still tired and had no problem what so ever with, as soon as he got near Bramblepath, flopping down a bit to really get into the spirit of resting. That was where he had intended to go, that was where he went. "I'm tired," he complained softly. "And I was told you need company." ( ๐๐ช๐ป๐ฝ๐ฑ ๐๐ป๐ช๐ถ๐ซ๐ต๐ฎ )

( I apologize for the delay. I have had a lot of homework ) ( mintedstar/fur๐ฆ and Spottail) Bramblepath stood up and stretched the stiffness out of his legs. He looked back down at Mallowkit for a moment as he formulated his responses. "I've been sorting herbs. I know it isn't really the most interesting answer, but someone has to do it," he meowed. For a moment, he considered telling the kit to leave. There were patients in the dent, and there was still a bit of work to be done. The possibility that Mallowkit might learn something convinced him that chasing the kit out would only be counterproductive in the long run. He settled back down next to the herbs and gave the kit a small smile. "As long as you aren't interfering with Summersplash or my work, you're always welcome to come here to relax."

โNo itโs fine, I need to get up anyway and move my legs.โ Summersplash meowed, then added. โI canโt wait beside my brother forever, Iโm sure heโll wake-up soon.โ
She stared to walk toward the door and meowed. โIโm headed toward the fresh-kill pile, anybody want anything?โ

(I'm everything from moving, to schoolwork, to NaNo. It's crazy.)
"I didn't want to interfere," said Mallowkit, angling his ears back and resting his chin on his paws. He felt a bit underestimated. He could be good! He was tired anyway, so that was pretty much the only option. Either way, he watched as the medicine cat moved around, only to angle his ears toward Summersplash. "No, I'm good," he squeaked. He was at least good for now. He wasn't hungry yet.

(Leave it to me to get sidetracked for 2 weeks. I'm not even going to try to come up with an excuse for this one.) ( mintedstar/fur๐ฆ and Spottail) Bramblepath opened his mouth to say that he was fine, but as he did so his stomach growled loud enough a cat could probably hear it two tail-lengths from the entrance to his den. It took him a few moments to realize that he hadn't eaten since he woke up at dawn. He flushed a bit under his fur and turned to look at Summersplash. "Well, I guess that means I need something. Anything is fine, but I would prefer a vole if one is available," he meowed. Bramblepath then turned back to the herbs he had been working with before and continued sorting them. "So, what have you been up to today Mallowkit?" he asked, trying to strike up a conversation.

Summersplash looked at Bramblepath and meowed. โSure, I can do that for you.โ She headed toward the fresh-kill pile and saw a nice fat vole at the top, she grabbed that and a nice fat squirrel for herself then headed back to medicine cat den. When she got back she tossed the vole toward Bramblepath. โThere you go.โ Then headed back toward Wingheart to eat hers.

"I've been playing a lot," said Mallowkit with a grin. His small tail twitched a while. "And I listened to some stories. But it's really tiring." He looked up, wondering how much time had passed. He expected that there should have been time to sleep soon. He really just wanted to wind down. He wasn't feeling energetic enough for this yet. "What have you been doing?" he asked.

(Just finished my first term of college!) ( Robinbreeze) Mistyfur padded out of her den and glanced around the camp. Neither the deputy nor Sparrowstar was anywhere in sight, and she wasn't hungry at this moment. As she let out a sigh and started for the camp entrance, she noticed Drizzlepaw sitting just outside the apprentices' den. Figuring that she didn't have anything important to be doing at that moment, she moved toward the apprentice with the intention of striking up a conversation. ( mintedstar/fur๐ฆ and Spottail) Bramblepath had never been very athletic, so he almost stumbled over as he moved to catch the vole. While he managed to get his jaws around it, he was acutely aware that he had almost made a fool of himself. He contemplated asking Summersplash to be a bit more careful next time. He ultimately decided however that it wasn't a big deal. "Thank you," he called after her as she made her way back to the patients. He turned back to Mallowkit and took a bite from his vole as he listened to the kit. "Going through my stock and seeing what needs to be replaced," he managed to say through a mouthful of vole. He swallowed what he had and continued. "I've been quite fortunate today, most of them have been in good condition."

Sandchaser - nimble ;;
Sandchaser was never a fan of breaks, or knowing cats who could be working were taking one. There was always works to be done, and if not, Sandchaser would certainly find some. But alas, Sandchaser could not make the rules. He has been a warrior for quite a few seasons but the only real authority he had was over apprentices. He did not care for them much though, they were immature and wasted time on nonsense. So Sandchaser found himself on his own solo hunting patrol to bide his time and keep himself same, finding he'd be more useful in doing so than lazing about camp or patrolling the borders...again. The tom's long ears swiveled every which way atop his angular head, attempting to pick up sounds from creatures much smaller than himself nibbling on food in what they believed to be safety. It was not before long though, that any sort of nibbling he was attempting to detect was drowned out by the sound of a gurgling stream. It wasn't much of a landmark, but it was clear, shallow, and a few tail-lengths wide, enough to catch his attention. Sandchaser was not much of a fisher, but he has always wanted to perfect the skill. Fish was rather delicious, in his opinion, and always seemed more appetizing than rodents anyways. There was less fur and tiny bones to chew around and through anyways. The only problem was the smell, but if disposed of properly, it was not an issue. Considering all of these factors, Sandchaser lowered his long-furred pale yellow coat to the ground, paws sinking slightly into the clay, and his claws wrapping around the gray, mattifying substance, and in silence he waited - perched and ready to strike.

Nimblewarrior had always been a sort of neat freak, about her fur. She had groomed it for the 5th time this morning, fussing about her fur was the least of her problems though. Her stomach rumbled, and she got up, padding over to the fresh kill pile for some prey. She found a vole, and took it over to a spot by a tree in the shade. She began to eat the vole, munching away at the plump little body.

๐๐ช๐ป๐ฝ๐ฑ ๐๐ป๐ช๐ถ๐ซ๐ต๐ฎ"Oh?" Mallowkit asked, a bit bored. Despite being named for an herb, he wasn't sure if he had much interest in them. "What do you do with them then?" He wasn't sure what was and was not in good condition, but he assumed that it was a good shot in trying to ask about such things. He yawned again and placed his chin on his paws. Things still seemed to be pretty busy. He lazily tilted his head this way and that. It was nice to know that the clan was functioning, he supposed. It was a good change from the stories the elders told of harder times.

( mintedstar/fur๐ฆ and Spottail) Bramblepath noted a hint of boredom in Mallowkit's tone and barely managed to hold back a sigh. He knew that it was his job to know what the herbs in his den do, not the job of the warriors that made up the majority of the clan. However, he couldn't help but feel that if warriors had even a basic understanding of emergency healing methods there would be significantly fewer deaths and crippling injuries. As such, seeing another kit with such a blatant disinterest on the subject of herbs was disheartening to him. "Well I suppose that depends on the situation and what herbs you use," he said. He flicked his tail at the pile of catnip that was near him and continued, saying "For example, this herb is used to treat greencough. Greencough is an illness that has taken more lives than all of the battles Sparrowclan has participated in combined."
