Ro wondered whether he should follow Kaivhen or not. He knew the blacksmith would want to focus on whatever he was doing but Ro was also intensely curious about what he was doing. He decided to follow and find out what it was that Kaivhen was working on. Ro had business with him anyway as he had a small list of equipment and armor modifications he needed taken care of. He set about following the older Mandalorian to his forge.

When Ro'Viren caught up to him, Kaivhen was already was already taking a hydrospanner to some sort of jury-rigged device frame, but that -- including the beskar cuirass hanging from a stand from a nearby worktable -- was hardly the most striking thing in the room.
Standing nearby Kaivhen was the choppy, three-dimensional holographic image of a Mandalorian woman wearing white-and-gold yet unadorned armor, projected from a nearby holocommunicator. As Ro entered, both Kaivhen and the hologram turned to look at him.
"Ro," Kaivhen rumbled, giving his cramping muscles a chance to relax as he took to a knee. "I was beginning to worry that you had been taken too much with the softness of your bed." Just some good-natured ribbing...
"Oh? An--zzz-this is...?" the hologram interjected, the warrior's image suddenly shifting to show her with a hand on her hip.
"The one who discovered the Bentovan cuirass," Kaivhen affirmed, before gesturing to the hologram. "This is Shero Faré."
"... Va-zzz-sal of Clan Wren, of Hou-zzz-zla," Shero managed through the choppy connection, nevertheless sounding solemn. "I knew many Karath b-zzz- and sisters that died to the hands of the Empire."
The name "Bentovan" would've felt like a massive gut punch to anyone with the name of Karath. Regarded somewhat grimly as the beginning of the fall of the Karath clan's fortunes, the Mandalorian Bentovan clan managed to force the Karath's off of their original homeworld, Widow's Garden, many centuries ago, but only for both Bentovan and the Widow to disappear since, the star charts of the exotic, dangerous rogue planet having been lost long ago.

Despite wearing a helmet a reaction of disgust could clearly be seen through Ro's body language at the name Bentovan. "Bentovan? They disappeared a long time ago. How did the cuirass of a lost clan come to fall into the hands of the Jawas? And why did it decide to reappear now?" He suspected the cuirass would have had to been very old by now. It didn't make sense for it to suddenly reappear in front of a Mandalorian on such a remote planet after so long.

"That is what we're trying to find out," Kaivhen replied. "This signal interface I'm building would allow Shero to perform a thorough analysis on the armor through the holonet. She... has some equipment that I do not."
"I will run it through my own databases," Shero interjected, sweeping her hand over to the cuirass. "See what Faré and the Wrens know, perhaps who the original owner was, or residue left behind on its surface, how old it is. We were the ones that shared the Bentovan weaving technique to the Karaths when they warred with us eight-hundred years ago."
"The-" Suddenly, Kaivhen's voice broke, a rarity that almost never happened. "The Widow, Ro. This-this could show us the path... back home. Just imagine it..."
Shero took a short moment to regard the show of emotion. "... but I can't discover all the answers on my own. The Karaths are in the best position to discover the origins the Bentovan cuirass."

As Kaivhen's words hung in the air Ro took a moment to let them sink in. Everyone in the clan had grown up hearing stories of their lost homeworld. Of its many caves and their unique ecosystems or the giant Dral Wolves that their ancestors fought both against and with. Looking over to Kaivhen following Shero's statement "Then I will allow you to work." Ro moved to a stool inside the room. While he would allow Kaivhen to work uninterrupted he intended to be nearby when the discovery was made.

"Gracio-zzz-," Shero said, her image flickring as she crossed her arms at barely five frames a second. "You're allowed to work, Kai."
This ended up getting a snort out of Kaivhen, and he turned to regard Ro'Viren. "You," he started, pointing his hydrospanner at Ro for emphasis. "are a Karath. Your ancestors, wearing the beskar you're carrying on your back right now, honed themselves against the wildlife of one of the most inhospitable planets in the galaxy. And now..."
He tossed a puck in Ro's direction, containing a holographic image and display of the rough data of the Bentovan cuirass.
"... it's time for a hunt, Ro. Those Jawas picked up that armor from somewhere, and the more we know about the armor, the more we learn about the disappearance of the Bentovan, then most certainly the closer we get to Widow's Garden."

Catching the puck Ro said "If I am going to go on such an important hunt then my current equipment will likely not be enough." He knew that asking for more equipment would put a large strain on their already limited supllies but it would be necessary for such an important mission. "And before any action is taken the elders must know. This is something that may very well prove to be a turning point in our clan's fortunes. Getting the elders blessing will allow us to gain access to more supplies as well."

“I would save your breath,” Kaivhen grumbled dismissively, lowering the hydrospanner. “I can tell you right now that they are not going to approve of our half-baked quest for lost glories. But, no one can stop me,”
Kaivhen flipped the hydrospanner around to grip it in both of his gloved hands. “We need to prove that we aren’t chasing womp rats. Until then, I will reward you based on your merit as a follower of the Way of the Mandalore. Speaking of...” He held up a code cylinder. “This is your long-coveted thermal visual overlay. It was about time, perhaps. The truth is, Ro, is that my mechanics are stronger than my coding. I needed Shero’s help to write it.”
“May it serve you well,” Shero interjected.
“Now, I trust you know what to do, correct?” Kaivhen said. “Attempt to follow the footprint of the Bentovan cuirass, but do not let the elders think you are wasting your time. When my duties do not prevent me otherwise, I will help where I can.”

Ro nodded and took the code cylinder from Kaivhen. "I'll be hard pressed to do this on my own but I will get it done." He used the code cylinder to apply the thermal overlay to his visor. He tested it to see that it worked and was pleased with it. Looking to Kaivhen he said "I will set off soon. I only have a few more preparations to make for this hunt."

(I may have forgotten to mention, but I was more or less going to be using multiple characters to tell our story here, not only just Kaivhen. In other words, don't worry, I'm not going to make you roleplay by yourself haha
I'll reply in the morning, I'm too tired to think of anything good right now |D )

(So was I lol)
"Perhaps you could hunt for it alone. It is your decision, and I do not judge your prowess," Kaivhen said, standing up and setting aside the hydrospanner, and he tapped his signet upon his helmet. "However, I was not able to kill a Krayt Dragon alone. It required a successful mixture of skills and talents that only a rare few warriors possess all at once. Speaking of which..."
He pulled out a holocommunicator, and set it on a nearby table. "You remember Zjarah? She sent me a communique an hour ago."
With a press of the central projector, a hologram lit up in rough aurebesh script: "Pls wake up Ro, tell that buckethead to find me. Something big planned!"
He depressed the projector again. "I know she... dislikes you, but she needs you for something. Or rather, I believe she needs your ship. And I believe you may need her slicing skills."

While Ro desperately wished to avoid being anywhere near Zjarah to avoid her mocking he was beholden to the teachings of the Resol'nare. "I understand. I'll find out what this 'something big' is and lend a hand to her." He said to Kaivhen before leaving the room.
Ro began towards where he suspected he would find Zjarah. He wondered what she would need him for. After all he didn't know much beyond battle and how to perform basic maintenance on his equipment and ship.

(My bad. Lots of stuff picking up around this time for the holiday season, a bit of a lack of inspiration for the current events of the RP, but at the very least I have something of a kind of storyboard for how this RP might go lol)
Zjarah was definitely where Ro'Viren thought she was: her "corner" of the commons, a portable holoterminal out in front of her, and impatient as ever, seemingly glaring at Ro through a helmet with a faceplate that seemed more than just a little inspired by the ancient Phase II armor from the long-ago Clone Wars, complete with flat gray highlights over the dull silvery beskar. "Finally," she muttered exasperatedly.
The younger woman was more technically-inclined, and could easily make the claim that she was the best slicer in the clan. However, she took fewer hunts than most, preferring to take her time to plan them out to the fullest measure. She liked it when things went to plan -- 'winging it' was for suckers, and Zjarah got impatient and irritable if she had to 'wing it'.
Zjarah depressed a holographic button, and the terminal's screen switched to the exterior at Ro's direction, showing loads of nearly incomprehensible code, dates, schedules, and shipping jargon. "I hope you enjoyed your beauty sleep, because I just figured out how to get the Karaths beskar-rich," she said, sounding pleased with herself, before noticing something was amiss. "Uh--hangon..."
A few seconds later, the incomprehensible mass of numbers and aurebesh was overtaken by a 'Fraud-Free, Delivery-Guaranteed!' shipping communique. "We're awaiting pick-up at Megalet, coord (xxN-xxE). Material is waiting in specially-marked crates -- expect bonus for Old Iron," it read.

Ro took a moment to look over the shipping communique and then looked at Zjarah. "This much Beskar? Can we really trust that this communique is accurate?" Ro asked. "And what could we possibly offer in return? We aren't exactly well off. We can hardly afford to keep this place running." He gestured around him to the building. It seemed like almost every other week there would be some major failure in a critical system.

"First off," Zjarah said matter-of-factly. "There isn't going to be a deal. This was such a poorly-encrypted message that I'd be surprised if half the local scum and villainy didn't crack it. Second..."
Zjarah returned the holoterminal's window back to the mess of numbers of letters. "I thought the same thing, so I made a little tracer program. Little Binx tracked that message to Megalet. Then, it followed that shipment and went through a few re-salers, two smugglers' accounts, and a scavenger whose ship matched the profile of a looter sighted stealing from the former Imperial Fort Galphan in Mandalorian space." With a flick of a finger, she shut the screen off, and the terminal folded into a compact, pocket-sized shape. "Fort Galphan, if you remember, was a training site for Imperial supercommandos," she remarked icily. "That's why I think they're shipping beskar, and that's why we need to get there before anyone else realizes that too."

I finally just saw your other Star Wars 1x1 idea, and to be honest I'm going to feel a bit bad because, well, you'll see as the story progresses
Or I could actually tell you the absolutely most general gist of what I was thinking was going to happen, if you want.

Took a few more days than I thought but here it is))
Ro remained quietly before asking "So we're going to steal it back?" He didn't have any qualms about stealing back the Beskar but Ro didn't like the idea of going in blind to such a potentially dangerous situation.

(I was getting a bit worried that I wasn't entertaining anymore lol)
"That's the idea," Zjarah replied, a hint of exasperation creeping into her voice. "Or, at least find some way to tag the shipment so we can track it down later. We'll figure out which when we get there and scope out the place."

I probably won't get anymore replies up tonight. There's a winter storm coming through and my internet is already getting pretty spotty.))
"So, we doing this quiet then? Quiet's... not exactly my specialty. Though I suppose I could make it work." Ro had never been the best at tasks that require too much discretion. He's really more of a shoot first, ask questions later kinda guy.

(No joke, I have a thunderstorm in my neck of the woods as well.)
"It better work," Zjarah began to grumble, crossing her arms across her chest. "Look, I know Kaivhen used to be a part of the Death Watch, how they fought for its own sake, and that the two of you had a bit of fun yesterday shooting up a sandcrawler in a bit of highway robbery. Good warrior can fight hard all the time, but a great warrior fights smart all the time."
She almost sounded like she was quoting someone.

Ro smiled under his helmet before saying "Then it's a real good thing I happen to be so smart." He said jokingly. "When do we leave? I imagine you'd want to leave as soon as possible. You know, to have some extra time to scout and come up with a plan?"

Zjarah let out a sigh and shook her head. "I was about to call you a dolt, but you're dead-on." With that said, she stood up from her seat, depositing her folded-up terminal into a pouch onto her side. "I can leave right at this moment. You... you do have a ship, right?"

Shaking his head a little Ro said "Well... Technically. It'll get us where we need to be. It can't do much more. So, you might want to pack light. It doesn't have a very large payload."

Again, she sighed out of exasperation. "That still works. Just... the tagging thing is Plan A now. It's not like we're going to dogfight TIE fighters or anything..."
With that said, she regained her composure. "Alright. Where is she? Can we go now?"

Sorry it's taken so long to respond. I broke my wrist and it's only just now feeling good enough to move a little.))
"Okay, Okay! Just making sure we're good." Ro replied holding up his hands. He followed her out the to the landing pad. While the ships were all in some state of disrepair one stood out in particular. It more closely resembled a piece of scrap being so heavily rusted. Pointing Ro said "Well, there it is."

(Oh heck, sorry I missed this -- I assumed you lost interest in the forums here lol
Also, OUCH. Don't strain it too much my dude.)
Zjarah regarded it silently, for an uncomfortably long time. Perhaps, she was rethinking her decision to immediately go for a jump in lightspeed in such a rust-bucket, or perhaps she was internally cursing the ship or maybe even Ro himself.
"What do you call it," she asked evenly, in an extremely neutral, almost monotone voice.
