ew that sounds gross, you just need to fight all the people out of the waiting room
also hi sorry it's kinda short hopefully my replies get better as we get going --
A low sigh slipped from the gumiho woman's lips as her nails tapped against the bar counter in a rhythmic cadence. Honestly if it weren't for the movements of her fingers and the noise echoing throughout the near empty bar Hyeon-u was sure she would have fallen asleep right then and there out of sheer boredom. Honestly the night had been slow, which, wasn't all that surprising what with this accidental bar takeover having happened not that long ago. Things were still getting established and taking off, and while both her and her partner in all of this - Jiyeong - had had a good opening thus far, things weren't exactly crazy just yet. She was sure that, given some time, things would start to really pick up considering they had a lot of decent nights so far, but until more people got the word out about the place nothing was going to be too exciting. So it wasn't all that surprising that things were slow, especially since the night was still young and the party goers had yet to really come out of hiding, but Hyeon-u was hopeful that soon things would spice up. She needed some excitement tonight.
After a few moments longer of standing there doing nothing, Hyeon-u pushed away from the bar and scanned the room through narrowed eyes. A few people were already inside the bar and enjoying their drinks, but nothing about them seemed all that exciting to Hyeon-u. She had to admit that she was hungry, and getting a meal tonight was for sure on her to-do list, but she didn't want to waste her energy on going after a human that didn't seem interesting, that didn't spark her predatory urges. There was the chance that nothing would even happen tonight and she would end up going hungry, but she really, really hoped that wasn't the case. She and Jiyeong had been lucky with their meals thus far, but one could never be too sure when that luck would run unexpectedly dry.
With one last sweep of her eyes around the bar, the gumiho decided to give up on "hunting" for now and check in with her fellow gumiho. Maybe he had something more exciting going on. She doubted it since they were in the same building dealing with the same exact thing, but who knows, Jiyeong typically had a much different perspective on things than she did.
"Jiyeong?" She called out, sure her companion wasn't too far off. "Anything exciting on your end? I'm bored," she muttered, clearly not fond of the slow start to their night. Things were sure to pick up as the night grew older, but right now there just wasn’t much happening, and Hyeon-u was not a fan of being bored out of her mind. Maybe she was being a little impatient about it all, but she was ready for something to happen. She was ready for the fun to begin - after all, she did not plan on being bored all night long.

omg no my dude it's literally fine highkey its honestly better than anything i would've produce
------
In reality, the gumiho hadn't expected to come into ownership of a bar in his infinitely expanding lifetime. It was rare he even went to bars, honestly. However, after encountering and becoming mildly attached to his companion, it happened more frequently, to the point where they'd become something of regulars at a couple locations. This one had just been visited more often, and unfortunately (depending on how one saw it) the owner's seemed to have passed unexpectedly.
They just so happened upon the lease.
It was why Jiyeong found himself mixing drinks on the other side of the bar. The set up was interesting with one bare against the wall and set up as a wrap around island. Then again, it was a decent sized building, large enough that it made sense to have at least two accessible bars. As it stood, he was altering the drink selection, finding that he actually quite enjoyed creating new drinks. He’d been doing this since they made the decision to reopen the bar, finding that the endless combinations were interesting, and that people seemed to enjoy custom drinks. He especially like the ones where the alcohol was hard to taste - made it easier to ensure people were too drunk to leave.
He'd been rather focused on his task, finishing up the last of four drinks. To be truthful, they contained the same base alcohols and only varied in terms of measurements and added flavors. When he was called, he'd just finished the garnish on the last drink. Picking up the four glasses, he made his way out of the island and towards the other counter. Anything exciting? Ha, he wished. While it hadn’t been exactly slow since they reopened the place, it wasn’t like business was booming either. Even while he was the more formal of the two, he wasn’t much a fan of the lack of entertainment.
"Unfortunately, no. Thankfully, it's Thursday, so we'll pick up after nine. It's only half an hour until then." This was hypothetical - he'd learned very quickly that Thursdays were when the college students went out in excessively large groups, and Fridays were when the working class made they way in at odd times. Rather than focus on this, however, he set the four glasses down in front of her. "Try these?"

nah im sure you could have done better but im just excited we got this going now owo -----
It was a relief to the other gumiho to know that Jiyeong wasn't too far off, and that when he heard his name he was over to the other counter within no time. Hyeon-u was fond of the male fox, but that didn't mean he never got any of her brash attitude about things; she was impatient and liked things to get done as soon as they could so she could move on to the next thing. She would take her time on some things, like to plan out a good hunt, but beyond that the female enjoyed a faster pace of life. Too slow and things simply got boring for her.
Upon hearing his answer, Hyeon-u let out a low sigh, different from her earlier one. This was more out of relief than anything. She honestly hadn't checked the time in a while so hearing that things would more than likely pick up within the next thirty minutes already had her boredom going down by a lot. Thursdays typically did pick up due to college kids coming in to start their weekend early.
Something like a purr, almost too feline in nature for a canine ghoul, came from the gumiho. "Good, I wouldn't be able to stand it all night if things kept up." Her amber eyes glanced down at the four drinks Jiyeong sat down in front of her, inspecting them for a good moment. She knew they were just as they were - drinks custom mixed, something that Jiyeong did a rather good job of. Hyeon-u had yet to try one that she didn't like.
Individually she took a sip from all four, taking a moment between drinks to make sure she got the full flavor of the one she had been trying. Once taking a sip from the last one she pushed it back to stand beside the others. Something of a smirk pulled at her lips, sharp canines glinting in the bar's light. "Once again you don't fail to please me," she replied in a smooth, almost sing-song voice. "Second one's the best though. What's in it?" She nodded toward the second drink she had tried, curious as to what all had been mixed into it.

Nah my dude my last braincell DIED I lowkey am the worst at starters anymore lmao its actually a wild time same! i'm the big excite uwu
------
He had always been the type to tune into how people worked and how they wanted things, it's just who he was. It helped him to better get what he wanted out of people without having to make any major changes to his own nature. It was no different with Hyeon-u, however, he was just genuinely happy to be around her. The creature had grown quite used to her general attitude, and had already been subject to her reactions when he didn't answer immediately. If he was doing something, he was never the type to just drop it, and she was not an exception. Honestly, it was a bit amusing to her how impatient she was.
This time around, however, he'd essentially been finished with his task and was able to join her at the other counter. A gentle grin graced his features, he nodded his agreement. "Mm, it's usually slow this time of day. I've grown used to it." He'd grown accustomed to using the time to either mix new drinks or just dance around the building. The fox spirit liked to make use of the open space while business was slow considering most of his time now went to the bar rather than heading to the studio.
It wasn't that he didn't have time to go to his usual dance studio, but it was just easier because he was usually here.
Jiyeong watched as she tried each drink, placing his forearms just on the edge of the counter as he leaned forwards. When she complimented the drinks, his grin grew from gentle to fox like. "Wonderful," he hummed, looking down at the indicated drink. "Russian vodka, pomegranate juice, pinch of ginger, and two muddled mint leaves. Strained out, of course." Making a mental note of it, he glanced at one of the clocks they kept under the bar. The patrons didn't need to know what time it was, but they did.
So he did what he always did - delegated the second half of making new drinks. "You've got twenty-six minutes to name it."

Starters always depend for me, sometimes im decent at them, sometimes i suck oof -----
Hyeon-u had always been a solitary creature from the start of her existence. She had never really needed to rely on others as she had always been independent. Sure, she was social and knew how to get into the minds of people and even steal their affections, but she never kept them around for long. They were merely a plaything for her, something to keep her occupied for a few hours at least to a few days at most. She was never emotionally intimate with a person, and if anything she was a loner by nature, but she had found herself growing somewhat fond of Jiyeong. He was...different than her, a lot more laid back and reserved, polite even, and Hyeon-u found his personality to be rather soothing for her. While she was still impatient and unable to really get herself to settle down and relax, she found that his presence was calming to her in some way. It was odd for her to find somebody pleasant to be around for this long, but rather than question it she took it as it came. As long as he didn’t cross her or make her angry then what was the point of chasing him off?
It was no surprise to the gumiho that her companion had grown used to the slow pace that started the night off. Hyeon-u had come to expect it, but that didn’t mean she had exactly grown used to it. The times in which the bar was slow still kept her on edge, made her long for the excitement and chaos that came with a large crowd of people. She just wasn’t programmed to sit around and wait.
The female gumiho listened as the male listed what all was inside the drink. She nodded in acknowledgement, glancing back to the drink she had indicated as her favorite. ”Interesting. I would never think to combine all of those ingredients with one another.” Of course she wasn’t the drink master at the bar, that was all Jiyeong. She did her part with mixing drinks and serving customers of course, but she didn’t create new concoctions. Maybe one day she’d try it out. It seemed fun, and for all she knew she could be a natural.
”Twenty-six minutes?” She then asked, a spark of amusement dancing in her eyes as she looked at the other fox. ”One of these days you need to give me a challenge.” She was more than confident in her ability to name this drink within that time frame. Maybe she was a bit too confident in herself, but this was just naming a drink. She could do that without a problem.

honestly big mood but as of late I've noticed they're just getting harder for me to do cause I feel like I'm always wording things awkwardly
------
Interestingly enough, he was better at giving orders rather than actually working with people. Despite this, it seemed the two understood each other, and he didn't really mind working with her like this. In fact, she was likely the other person he'd ever truly work with. He'd 'lost' several partners simply because they couldn't see that his way was the right way. Even when they would protest, it was never anything intelligent. Typically, it was annoying and quickly resulted in a sudden heart removal.
Picking up one of the drinks he'd made, he slammed it back without a second thought as she commented on the ingredient choice. "I originally wasn't going to, but I figured that was the last of the mint from a few days ago and I wanted to use it." He had a thing about the garnishes and such being as fresh as possible. He did well with the rotations of their supplies, and may whatever gods the kitchen staff worship have mercy on them should they screw it up. Thus far, it seemed rest of the gumiho they'd hired understood that he would absolutely tear them apart should they screw anything up. And he'd do it with the brightest smile on his face.
A warm chuckle left Jiyeong as the other fox spirit said he needed to give her a challenge. "A challenge, hm?" Setting the now empty glass into one of the bins under the counter to be washed, he picked up another glass. "I suppose I can make that happen. I'm sure I can put together another drink in about twenty-five minutes." It wouldn't take much for him to put something else together as far as he was concerned. He'd been wanting to mess around a few of the rums for a while now.
The gumiho had wanted to propose a challenge, though his attention was drawn by a newcomer that had only just entered and was rapidly approaching them. Frowning a little, he set his glass down, vaguely assessing the human. In a rush, mildly irritated, slightly out of breath... Not in the best shape but could definitely be worse. "Hey, you guys are the bartenders, right? But like, you own the place?"
Jiyeong only raised an eyebrow, not entirely sure what he was trying to get at. "Hyeon-u, I'm sure this is interesting enough for you, yes?" What he was actually saying was that he didn't want to deal with this person. He'd stick around and listen, but he didn't want to participate.

that's a mood, tho i always feel like i word things awkwardly for replies also i could have swore i replied to this last night but??? i highkey crashed last night so it was probably some weird dream -----
Hyeon-u couldn't help but give a faint huff of amusement, almost a low laugh really, at Jiyeong's words after taking the drink and finishing it off without blinking an eye. "No need to let things go to waste. That would be against your food code of honor, right?" She asked smoothly, words bordering between a tease and a true question. The male gumiho was very keen on keeping ingredients fresh and at their top taste, which Hyeon-u didn't mind one bit. Why run an establishment based on drinks if what went into them was stale and old? That was bad for business, even Hyeon-u, who wasn't well versed in business at all, could see that.
While she did have a tendency to sit back and let Jiyeong do most of the work, she made a mental note of the now empty and dirty glass that he had put away to be cleaned. Hyeon-u would see to it that the glass was cleaned within the hour. Things would surely pick up and drinks would be going around like it was the end of the world. They would need all the clean glasses they could get if business spiked. Attention focused back on her companion, she offered a look of foxish amusement. "I'll hold you to it."
Before she could say anymore, she caught sight of somebody stumbling in the bar, clearly in some type of distress. Irritation was mild but apparent, and the words coming from the newcomer were bordering on breathless. Hyeon-u narrowed her eyes. Now this was interesting.
With quick movements she stepped out from behind the counter and over to the newcomer, amber eyes taking in the full picture. She kept her face friendly, but there was a true rush of impish amusement inside. Silently she thanked Jiyeong for the chance to do something more than stand around and try drinks - nothing wrong with that, but this was certainly something she had been craving for a while.
"That's right," she replied all the while keeping a friendly tone and look on her face. "Jiyeong and I own the place and host where is needed. Why?" She then asked. She probably should have been a bit more welcoming, should have said something more of "how may I help you", but it was too late now to change how she had responded.

honestly same - I once put off a reply for two days because I couldn't figure out how to make one sentence work and then I couldn't finish the reply cause it was like a transitioning sentence?? it was wild also that's fine! I apparently knocked out at some point last night and I don't remember turning off the tv and everything but I did
------
"Naturally," Jiyeong hummed in response, grinning a bit at the way she spoke. He'd grown rather fond of her teasing over time and learned to take it in stride. It was just another thing that seemed to keep them getting along, as it often reminded him to loosen up. He had a bad habit of getting into his own head. Despite his natural curiosity, the spirit was a rather serious person and heavily goal oriented. His companion was generally the only person that managed to pull genuine reactions from him, which was pleasant and interesting in it's own right.
When she said she'd hold him to his word, he only grinned before finishing off the second drink in his hand. Not too bad... A bit much now that he was tasting it again. He didn't get to think much further on the subject as the human practically staggered up to them after likely running through the parking lot. Interesting, but not exactly his type.
So, Jiyeong quickly removed himself from the situation, wandering off just far enough that he wouldn't be addressed, but he could still hear.
The man didn't really seem to notice that one of the people he'd initially addressed had left the immediate area. Rather, he looked towards the woman as she approached, nothing that she was rather enchanting, intoxicating even. Had he not been in such a rush to take care of something else, he likely would have at least complimented her. Maybe even try to win her over, though he was very quick to note that he likely wouldn't get far.
His train of thought was quickly broken as she answered him. Good, so he had the right people then. "Listen, I don't know if it's true, but I've heard that there are nights that people come in and they don't come back out." His voice was significantly quieter towards the end, and there was a brief pause in his words, though he wasn't looking for confirmation or denial. He was trying to get his thoughts in order. "If it's true, can you guys do me a solid? My sister's ex had been harassing her years and I'm sick of dealing with him, and the restraining order was practically useless."
Another pause. Was he really doing this? For the sake of his sister, yes he was. "If I bring him in for drinks, can you guys get rid of him? I don't care how, as long as he doesn't leave at the end of the night."

big mood, sometimes i just scream and nothing gets done because how do word oops, at least the tv got turned off -----
A low rumble of intrigue came from the fox spirit as she looked the man over through narrowed amber eyes. He wasn't the worst human she had ever laid eyes upon, but he most certainly could use some work in the looks department. Maybe if he didn't look as disheveled and out of breath as he was he would get a few extra attraction points, but in the long run this would just be somebody Hyeon-u would string along for a couple of hours before making a meal of him. To be fair she had exceedingly high standards, and not many had even come close to being so breathtakingly beautiful that Hyeon-u had to take a moment to catch her breath. There had been a few throughout her long existence, but even they weren't exempt from the end results of her seduction. Beautiful people had a fine taste to them, and Hyeon-u always cherished the heart of a beauty.
That didn't stop her from putting on the charm, though. She held herself in confidence yet kept herself somewhat distant. Hard to get even. She found that a lot of people fell into that kind of trap where they enjoyed a chase, enjoyed the people that were hard to get, the people that were out of their league. Of course, Hyeon-u didn't have to play any game to know that she was way out of anybody's league, but what was the point of the game if she didn't give in to a little chase from time to time?
Oh. Oh. This was interesting. This was very interesting indeed.
Hyeon-u found herself completely immersed in what the human had to say. It was true that some people never left the premise, gumihos were hungry creatures after all, and while she probably should be worried that some of the law would catch wind of the way things were ran, she wasn't. It would be a fun day for her should a cop try to come in and do anything. It would be a bad day for the cop. "Ya know," she started, voice sickly smooth with a hint of dark amusement, "this sort of talk could get you in a lot of trouble. Planning a murder? That's some tricky business," the fox spirit practically purred before she turned on her feet to walk back toward the bar, motioning for the man to follow. "Lucky for you a new drink was just made, and I'm sure once word gets out about it people will be dying to try it." Oh, the pun was intended. Once at the bar she reached out and took the drink Jiyeong had just mixed, eyeing it for a moment, deep in thought. "Bring him in and have him order Fox's Heart. A few of those and you'll never have to worry about him again, or your sister." Hyeon-u didn't need to pity somebody to kill for them, she'd do it without any prompting if she was hungry enough, but she did have to admit she felt a bit bad for the poor guy's sister. Nobody enjoyed being hounded by an unwanted presence, and while for her those problems could be easily solved, it wasn't so much that way for humans, so it was no surprise here that this man was looking for out there solutions.

literally same i just cease to function sometimes right?? like I'm just shook cause I'm pretty sure I'm the one who turned it off but I don't remember turning it off
------
Jiyeong had been merely observing the situation from nearly the opposite side of the counter. He really had no interest in this man - he seemed desperate for something he currently had no interest in providing, and seemed more like a snack than a meal. Not that he was particularly hungry today, but he just didn't seem to fit what he wanted for the day. So, he hung back, settling for listening to the man speak. He sounded as desperate as he looked, though it was much different than what he thought would happen.
It was rare that people were focused enough to ignore Hyeon-u's charms.
... Oh, he was looking for disposal? Very interesting. Casting a sideways glance at the pair, he couldn't help the slow grin that spread across his features. Somebody so desperate to protect a loved one looking to bartenders to get rid of somebody? It seemed like a mutually beneficial agreement if you asked him.
He was waiting for a response. Maybe it had been a mistake to come here - surely they were nothing but rumors started by people that were upset it was under new ownership. Personally, he found the overall quality of the place had gone up, but he also knew people weren't too fond of change. Which was odd, considering they resided in the city.
By the time she started talking, he'd worked himself up to the point where he was just about to tell her to forget he'd even asked. Still, it seemed she was rather calm and her voice was almost soothing to hear right now. Her words, however, not so much. Trouble? Was she going to call the cops on him? She wouldn't dare! Opening his mouth to protest, he quickly found that she was turning away from him and speaking once more. He followed when indicated to do so, coming to a stop at the counter.
New drink?
Eyeing the glass she picked up, he thought on her words for a bit. The hell did this new drink have to do with anything? His internal question was soon answered as the woman before him gave him directions, and he found himself nodding slowly. If that was all he had to do, then surely it would be an easy task to finally be rid of that damn jerk... "Alright... Alright, yeah. Won't be too hard. Thank you!" He didn't stick around to wait for a reply as he turned away from the bar and made his way out.
That was when the gumiho stood as made his way back towards his companion. "What an intriguing request..." He mused, watching the man's retreating back up until the door shut behind him. "A very fitting name, though. Once again, you've out done yourself."

Plot twist the tv just turned itself off ——
The female fox kept her gaze on the drink for a while longer. Who would have guessed that the night would bring such an interesting turn of events. She had expected the night to pick up after Jiyeong had mentioned it being a Thursday night, but she had not expected this to happen. She wasn’t complaining though, not at all. If she was getting a meal tonight then there was nothing to complain about, and this was certainly going to be different than how she got most of her prey.
She was brought back to reality when she hears the human male speak up once more. Hyeon-u looked away from the drink and placed it back down on the counter. She couldn’t help but snicker in amusement at the human’s hurry to get going. She assumed he was just so ready to get his victim and bring him back that he didn’t even have time to wait for her own response. Eh, it wasn’t like what she has to say was important. She’d see him again later anyway, and that was where the real fun was going to begin.
”Very intriguing indeed,” Hyeon-u mused when Jiyeong made his way back over to where she stood. ”Ever had somebody hire you for murder?” She snickered, finding the whole concept hilarious. Before long she would have to quiet her tone and not mention murder once more people crowded the bar, but with it still being rather quiet the gumiho could get away with saying what was on her mind outright.
At the mention of the name she had given the drink, a confident grin spread across her face. ”I thought you would like it. When he comes back with his little friend we’ll know exactly who it is, and after that the foxes will get their heart,” she mused, her boredom about the night long gone with the arrival of this new situation.

omg I'd believe that tho also shoutout to my phone never giving me the notification for this omg
------
It was rather intriguing to him. A human so boldly asking for something like this... He must have been desperate, but not desperate enough to do it himself. Then again, it seemed that he had people to go home to. Maybe he didn't want to be viewed differently? Humans were odd things... Not odd enough for him to be interested in figuring them out, but odd. He already knew what he needed to know to draw them in. If anything else was learned, it would happen in passing and without extra effort. He was very sure of this.
At her snickered question, the fox spirit thought on it. "Once," he murmured, grinning a little at the thought. "I was weapon during wartime... It didn't end well for either side." He'd only been summoned a few times in his life, though that one had been interesting. It wasn't a large war, one history didn't put importance on, but it had been fun. This situation, however, was different. This was one man, who sought them out rather than dragging one of them into some dark room lit only by candles. This was a desperate man trying to protect a family member. It wasn't often that something like this occurred. Then again, he'd never had it happen once, so it was a new experience. "Do you think others will pick up on our services?"
When the conversation turned to the name of the drink, Jiyeong smiled a little. "It's rather fitting. It'll be an interesting night, indeed." He'd leave it as something of a 'secret menu' item, then. After all, only those who were being targetted needed to know of the drink's existence. He'd surely come up with a new menu addition in no time. Black eyes turned towards the door again before sliding slightly to the left of it to gaze out of the window. Ah, there they were - the first group of college students tonight. A bit earlier than expected, but that meant the night would be promising. "Finally. Tonight should be fun."

Ayyyy, good job phone, you had one (1) job -----
Hyeon-u gave a little hum as she listened to Jieyong answer her question. She raised an eyebrow over toward him, clearly intrigued by the other gumiho’s answer. ”You’ll have to elaborate on that later. I’m interested in the finer details of that story.” There was no way she was going to let him get away with such a short answer to that. Nobody could just say they were used as a weapon during a war and not give the deeper meanings behind it. Which, Hyeon-u was sure she knew the deeper meanings, or at least she knew how it had ended for all those who had gotten involved with Jiyeong, but she was sure there was more than just feasting on the hearts of unfortunate souls that had happened. She’d have to get it out of her companion later, though. Right now there were more important matters to tend to.
In response to his question she gave a nod. ”Oh yes, humans have a way of spreading things like this around. They’re like songbirds, always needing something to chatter on about. Even if they tell one person not to tell the next, it still happens. We’ll have a new side business booming before we know it,” the fox spirit mused, rather pleased at this turn of events. No matter how friendly and charming the city was on the outside, on the inside there were a lot of desperate people out there willing to snoop to the level of hired murder. Sure, all they had to do was get rid of the guy in any way they wanted, but somebody would have to be a fool to believe a gumiho wouldn’t make a meal out of somebody when the chance arose.
Finally, the bar began to fill with more people, young adults from nearby colleges pouring in. Honestly there were probably a few high school students mingled inside the coming crowd, but that wouldn’t stop Hyeon-u from letting them in. If they had money and paid for what they ordered then why kick them out? Money was money, and frankly the laws on consuming alcohol were absolutely ridiculous in this country, but that was a rant for another time.
Stepping back the female gave a brief nod toward the group that had just stepped inside. ”Shall we get this night started then?”

yo forreal like w h y can't it do its s i n g u l a r job also this post is lame im so sorry
----
The gumiho smirked a bit at her response - he'd expected nothing less from her. He'd lived for quite some time, and still had some stories about him. "We can talk about it over dinner tonight, then." After all, it seemed dinner would be interesting enough already. With such an interesting situation delivering the food for them, he'd rather enjoy the hunt tonight. He liked to make sure his staff was well provided for. After all, happy staff meant better service, which kept people coming back. As for other services, his smirk quickly turned to a grin at the response he received. "Wonderful - I've always liked the idea fo getting paid for tearing people apart."
As people started to fill the building, the fox spirit sighed gently, though it was one of anticipation. A full bar meant easy victims thinking they would truly get something from him. Stepping away from the counter, he figured it was time to assume his position at the island bar. "Of course," he responded voice almost like a purr. It didn't take long for him to reach the island bar, the grin on his face now dangerously inviting as he gazed at the people simply pouring in. So many people, and a few he'd already decided which ones wouldn't be leaving.
"Welcome to the Fox's Den."

too much stress on the poor thing, can't handle, not paid enough shhh not lame -----
Hyeon-u was certainly interested to hear what Jiyeong had to say about his whole experience with the war, but that was a story for later. A story to be told over their incoming meal it seemed. Her lips pulled up into her own grin, fox-ish and sharp. "Being hand fed will be an interesting change of pace, that's for sure," she remarked. She had no doubt that once word got out more and more people would be coming to them for this new service, and Hyeon-u was more than ready to provide.
With more people coming in and things starting to pick up, Hyeon-u took her leave as well, ready to get in on the action. While she knew there would be a meal coming before the end of the night, she had already scouted out a few unlucky souls to take, people who were more than welcomed inside, but would never be allowed back out. Besides, she wasn't the only one that needed to eat. There was, of course, Jiyeong and they had to make sure the staff was well fed just as much. Hungry gumihos made for terrible workers, and while Hyeon-u was a lot of things, she wasn't about to starve those who worked for her.
It didn't take her long to get into the swing of things. Just like any night that the bar filled with customers, Hyeon-u made herself known and made sure to keep a good amount of eyes on her at all time. She made sure to keep a lookout for the human that had come in earlier along with his sister's ex, but that for sure didn't stop her from working her charm with the other humans now inside the Fox's Den.

Honestly true - I think a good charge would help mmmmm if you say so
----
The gumiho fell into habit easily. He was something of a performer when he made drinks, pulling tricks as he made everyone's drinks. He'd learned very early on that humans were easily amused, and they liked watching others do things that they couldn't. Plus, he just liked the attention. He'd long since abandoned the idea of being worshiped as a deity for simply being worshipped. Deities had expectations placed on them, and he did not exist to live up to other's expectations. No, he simply existed to be looked at with the knowledge that he was unattainable. Being completely untouchable was his specialty, really.
It was maybe half an hour before the man from before re-entered the bar, though this time accompanied by his target. Or their target? Whatever. He didn't care. He brought him up to the island counter, shouldering his way past people and up to the bar. Jiyeong looked up, eyes sparking with something akin to excitement. "Welcome back," he greeted, leaning on the counter a bit as he eyed him. "Ah - a new face." He looked over the man who would make what he hoped would be the best portion of tonight's meal. Very healthy, likely worked out, non-smoker, and likely a social drinker... So his liver was good too, then. "Go see Hyeon-u - she's better with the newcomers."
"Yeah, Tyler, go see her. She's probably working the other bar."
The target, Tyler apparently, only shrugged, but he did. He made his way across the floor and quickly found himself. at the bar that was against the wall, glancing at the other patrons. He took what would likely be the last empty seat at the bar for the next few hours.
The gumiho only watched him go, mixing a cocktail as he did. "Your sister's ex - Tyler, was it? - isn't too bright, is he?" he questioned, eyebrow raised. To just go so willingly to his doom... Not that he knew, but that wasn't the point. It was another thing he didn't really understand - humans just followed directions. They just did as told without really asking questions. Or, most did.
"No. No he's not."
