HELLO I AM HERE and woww!! looking pretty good ok here are a couple kitties Snakefang - Large, brown tom with darker brown patches. Green eyes. Careful, critical, Fiery (i really like the idea of a big beefy med cat so, while snakefang isn’t formally a medicine cat and wasn’t trained as one, snakefang has more than basic knowledge on herbs which he picked up from lingering around the medicine den. I'm going with he wanted to be a med cat, but the spot was taken so he couldn’t. Him and Flickeringpaw could help each other in healing the ragtag group if need be?)
Stoneripple - Solidly built gray tom with amber eyes. Front two paws are white. Level-headed, watchful, quiet
Softpaw - Ginger she-cat with a white tail and ears. Friendly, air-headed, brave (Redpaw’s sister? Mentored by Mistleblaze?)
Mistfire - Average sized silver she-cat with darker paws and blue eyes. Has a scar down her left shoulder. Loyal, pacifistic, thoughtful (Frostclaw’s sister?)
I also have two loners who I think would probably be better introduced at the mall !

The Lake Chancespark
/Duskstar, Frostclaw, Copperfoot and Foxflame/
Chancespark pushed against the lake floor, clawing rabidly at the dirt trying to get come kind of leverage against her attackers who were holding her under the water, Bubbles surrounded her as she took on water, finally feeling the pressure on her ribs release and teeth sink into the back of her neck, breaking into the skin. Soon she was met with the air she was lacking, coughing and purging herself of the water she'd inhaled.
"Do you see it now, what you've done?"
Her fuzzy vision focused just enough to see her mother sneering at her, a half smile half snarl rested on her muzzle, eyes glimmering in satisfaction. "I can't have you threatening my rule. Don't worry," She got closer and lowered her voice to a whisper. "I'll make sure they remember you as a coward."
Chancespark's body was tingling with panic, her limbs quivering in fear. Her mother. Her own mother. She should have known from the start. This must have been the fate of her father as well. Though she tried to claw at her mother, a tightening grip from Frostclaw made her limbs go limp. "I don't know why you're doing this..." She managed to sputter out before being dunked back under the water. In a final effort to push herself up she managed to get her head up for just a moment. "Mom, please--" Her voice only came as a quick yelp before being cut off.
----- Beside the Lake Flickeringpaw and Darkpaw
The russet she-cat stood stock still in horror, her mind buzzing like a swarm of angered bees. They're going to kill her. It's all a lie, she hasn't done anything wrong! Though the fear was keeping her locked in place, she could only manage to turn her head to the other apprentice next to her.
Darkpaw's golden eyes were locked on his mentor, his claws deeply scoring the ground. His fur was raised in a flurry of anger but he also remained still. Finally he forced his voice to work, though he kept it lost so they wouldn't be detected. "Flickeringpaw go get help." When she didn't move he nudged her slightly. "Now Flickeringpaw!" He hissed, unsure of what he himself was going to do.
Flickeringpaw dashed through the forest as fast as she could, the adrenaline finally kicking in, she couldn't bear to see her mentor, Foxflame watching this execution of her family with enjoyment. Panic burned beneath her skin as she made it back to camp, unsure of who to look for. The answer settled on her like the sun as she raised her voice in a shrill wail. "Snakefang! Snakefang where are you?"

Snakefang and Mistfire / At camp (with Flickeringpaw)
The shrill cry of a young cat tore him out of his impending sleep. Not one to think too much before doing, Snakefang shot up and darted out to the voice calling his name, making no effort to keep the warriors beside him undisturbed. He came screeching to a halt in front of Flickeringpaw. “What’s wrong, Flickeringpaw?” he questioned. “Where’s your mentor?”
Mistfire trotted out of the warriors den behind Snakefang, woken up from the sudden noise and movement next to her. Her ears pricked up and fur standing on end. Something felt wrong. She needed to be certain that things were alright before returning back to her nest. Deep inside her chest she felt she wouldn’t be crawling back in any time soon.
//hell yea hell yea hell yea, i'll probably toss in Stoneripple by the apprentices next bc i just registered the idea of having some cats already be there

Flickeringpaw Camp /Snakefang and Mistfire/
Her fur shot out in all directions, her sides heaving from her run here and her panic attack. The apprentice could feel tears springing to her eyes as she shook her head, attempting to find words. "She's with them... with Duskstar..." Flickeringpaw barely managed not to choke on her words.
Goldenpaw heard her friend's panic from the apprentice den and nudged Softpaw and Birchpaw awake. "Guys wake up, something's going on!" She hissed at them running out into camp and to Flickeringpaw.
Birchpaw stirred before getting up and following his sister out into camp, his ear twitching in annoyance. This better not be another death berry scare.
Flickeringpaw was shaking on her feet, trying to comprehend what she saw. "Help! We need to help! Chancespark needs help!" She managed to throw herself back into motion. "She'll die if we don't do something! Come on! Please!"
Goldenpaw threw herself after her friend and signaled for the others to do the same despite the anxiety that now clawed at the inside of her stomach. Did a patrol go wrong? Was it a fox? A group of dogs? Birchpaw followed close at her heels.

Snakefang, Mistfire, and Softpaw | On the move
(with Flickeringpaw, Birchpaw, and Goldenpaw)
Snakefang darted after Flickeringpaw, Softpaw and Mistfire following close on his heels. "Duskstar" was all they needed to hear. As he ran through the woods, Snakefang couldn't help but expect the absolute worst. He had heard the "prophecy" that Foxfrost had delivered and seen the stir it caused. He had seen the division in his clan become so much clearer that day. There were already quite a few cats that were against the way Duskstar was running the clan, but the second she had turned on her daughter the clan was split. And those that were against Duskstar's actions were the cats accompanying Snakefang now, darting through the trees to an unknown trouble with only the words of Flickeringpaw to drive them.
Stoneripple | The Lake
(with Darkpaw)
Stoneripple sat silently near Darkpaw. His cool expression betrayed the feeling of anger boiling deep beneath his pelt. "Help is on the way, Darkpaw." He said, keeping his voice low. He wasn't sure if what he said was reassurance for the apprentice or himself. He turned his head to the direction of camp, straining to hear any movement coming from that direction. Soon enough Stoneripple could hear it. The swift approach of many pawsteps. "Here they come."

(Sorry this is really long, I kinda got excited)
Chancespark /The Lake/ Duskstar, Frostclaw, Foxfrost and Copperfoot
She could feel herself giving into the darkness that was gathering at the edge of her vision, the will to keep fighting ebbing from her like the blood leaking from several wounds on her body from when she tried to fight. The she-cat was once again pulled from the water. This time a new voice sounded from behind.
"Let me finish it, Duskstar. I want to prove my loyalty to you." Chancespark struggled to see Emberfall approaching, a sinister spark in his eyes as he padded into the water.
Duskstar eyed him with suspicion for a moment before nodding to Frostclaw. "Let her go."
Just like that, she was dropped, plopping back into the water and pulling herself up out of it, looking at her former mentor in horror and dismay.
Emberfall's face was scrunched in malice, the hair on his shoulders raised. "Come here." He growled to her, ears pinned behind his head.
Not having another option under so many hostile eyes, Chancespark drug herself over to him, sending him a pleading glance. "You don't have to do this Emberfall. She's lying! I haven't done anything wrong."
The ginger tom stepped closer getting right in front of her, muzzle to muzzle just barely holding back a snarl. "I know you haven't." He whispered so only she could hear. "I'll buy you some time." The tom touched his cheek to hers. "Run. As far as you can."
Her ears stood up in surprise in horror. "No. No, no Emberfall, don't do this!"
His eyes gleamed in determination. The tom had made up his mind the instant he stepped out of the undergrowth. "You can't stop me." Suddenly he beared his teeth and reached around her neck, grabbing her by the scruff and throwing her behind him, allowing her a clear shot to the forest. "Go! Don't forget me!"
In horror she pulled herself onto her paws. "No! They'll kill you!" She was cut off my more paws rushing into the water pushing her the other direction. Rushwing was ushering her away from the fight.
Though he could hear the angry snarls and battle cries behind, Emberfall's eyes filled with pride as he watched his former apprentice who'd taught him more than he'd ever taught her. "Stay unbreakable, Chancepaw!"
With his words in her ears, Chancespark choked back sobs urging her paws forwards heading away from the territory.
Flickeringpaw, Goldenpaw and Birchpaw Lake shore /Snakefang, Softpaw/
Flickeringpaw slammed to halt when she saw Darkpaw, the tom getting ready to charge. She looked over her shoulder seeing that Mistleblaze had joined them. Her eyes were widened with horror at the scene they were met with. Chancespark and Rushwing dashing away from the lake, Emberfall fighting the other four in a final stand to buy her some time. Foxfrost. Her mentor. The medicine cat. Drawing blood with the intention to kill. Flickeringpaw bristled, but remained still. She looked at Snakefang in distress. "What do we do?
Darkpaw lowered his head and lashed his tail. "We help him!" The tom went to leap from the underbrush but was yanked back by Goldenpaw.
"Don't be rash! If they see us, they'll kill us because we know the truth." Shock was brimming from her pelt, betrayal ravaging her stomach. It couldn't be true.
Mistleblaze watched the ginger tom fight, overcome with emotion. Willing to die for his apprentice. It made her shake. She looked to Stoneripple, her eyes a mixture of fear and anger. "Are we too late?"

//all good!! Totally understand :3 Stoneripple & others | Lake Shore“Quite the contrary.” Stoneripple said to Mistleblaze. “Follow Chancespark. And, whatever you do, do not join that fight.” With that he dashed after Chancespark, not looking back to the others. His mind was made up long ago. This clan was lost after Duskstar came to power. At this point their only hope for a peaceful future would be far away from the forest and far away from her.
Mistfire followed Stoneripple, glancing at the scene by the lake. Her brother, Frostclaw, turned against one of his clanmates. Of course, what should she expect at this point? Duskstar corrupted him long ago. For a split second she thought about shouting some final words to him, but nothing could possibly sum up her thoughts fast enough. She darted after Stoneripple, leaving everything behind.
Softpaw looked at her mentor. “R-really?” she said. She wasn’t often one to let her nerves get the better of her, but Stormclan was all she really knew. “We’re just going to… leave?” Softpaw didn’t even know that was an option. But, if Mistleblaze was willing to lead her, she would be willing to follow.
Snakefang looked at Flickeringpaw. “We have to run. Follow them. Wherever they go… It’ll be better than here.” He nudged Flickeringpaw and Darkpaw in the direction of the cats fading in the distance. “Move! Now! We need to stay with them.” Snakefang shouted. He had to get the apprentices motivated. If they were to stay they would meet their ends within the next day.

Mistleblaze, Goldenpaw, Birchpaw, Flickeringpaw and Darkpaw Lake Shore Darkpaw bristled, his eyes livid in fury, but at the corners tears were gathering. "We can't leave! We have to help him! We have to help Emberfall!" His voice was breaking in a desperation unlike the tom as he dashed forwards, making up his mind.
Unfortunately for him, Mistleblaze was faster, snatching him by the scruff and throwing him back. Emotion was brimming from her as she fought her own urge to help Emberfall. Practically shaking on her feet, she planted herself. "He made up his mind, Darkpaw. He's giving us this chance! Don't waste it." She watched as Stoneripple and Mistfire vanished into the bushes, her eyes settling on the remaining apprentices. "Stoneripple is right. We have to leave, and we have to leave now." Her amber eyes settled on Softpaw. "I know it's going to be hard, and if you want to stay, I won't stop you. I know your brother is still here..." Her pelt bristled at the yowling and caterwauling growing closer now. "Consider your safety, Softpaw. If you want to follow, then you can, if you stay..." She touched her nose to her apprentice's forehead. "Be safe." With that, she dashed after the others.
Goldenpaw looked at her brother before nudging him into motion. "We have to go, Birchpaw!" She was surprised when he pushed against her and shook his head.
"We have nowhere to go, Goldenpaw! Our parents!"
Goldenpaw's back arched as she glared at her brother. "Our father is a murderer. Mom will be fine here on her own. Come on! They're going to kill us!" She pleaded with him, trying to get him to follow her.
Birchpaw grappled with it in his mind, his mother had already lost a litter, now she was going to lose another. He should at least tell her what happened. Maybe he could convince her to follow after them. "Maybe I can convince her to come with us... I can't leave her here." The tom looked at his sister with a profound sadness. "I'll catch up with you. For every step you walk, I'll leap five." He pressed his fur to hers and rested his head on her shoulder. "I promise, Goldenpaw."
Goldenpaw shook as she resigned herself and nodded, blue eyes brimming with sadness. She knew that she couldn't chance his mind, only support him. "Be safe. Please." Then vanished into the undergrowth, Birchpaw dashing back towards camp.
Flickeringpaw was watching the lake turn a deep crimson, a fiery sensation burning under her paws, crawling up her forelegs. Then it faded completely, as if exiting through her mouth. She knew in her heart what it meant. It was over. Time was up. A voice sounded from the inside of her mind. Emberfall's voice.
"Cross the river, I'll be with you all."
Blood igniting, she ran after the others, yowling an alarm. "We're out of time! Everyone go! Towards the river! We have to cross it!"
Chancespark On the Move Rushwing and Others
The she-cat surged forwards, sobs wracking her body as her paws carried her on their own volition. Beside her, the blue-gray pelt of Rushwing raced, horror on his features. Feeling a sudden surge of anger she stopped and rounded on him with a sharp snarl. "What are you doing, Rushwing? Go back! They're trying to kill me! They'll kill you too."
The tom remained as calm as he possibly could. "They saw me helping you. I'm their enemy now. I'm coming with you. And I don't think I'm the only one." His ear swiveled towards incoming pawsteps, his back arching defensively.

Softpaw and Snakefang | Lake Shore
As Softpaw watched her mentor disappear into the bush she made up her mind. She wasted no time chasing after Mistleblaze. As Softpaw tore through the underbrush, she couldn't help but think of what would happen to the rest of her clan now. What kind of fury would be unleashed on those that didn't deserve it? What would happen to her family? Her brother? She shook the thought from her mind. There was no time to think about it now.
Snakefang threw himself into motion after Flickeringpaw. Finally the group was on the move. Now, they just needed to make it to safety.
Stoneripple and Mistfire | On the move
(with ragtag group)
Stoneripple was the first to reach the two. "You've stopped." he said. He was shocked. They weren't second guessing themselves, were they? He looked to Chancespark. "Don't lose your head. There are times when one must think with their heart, Chancespark, but doing so now will lead to Emberfall's sacrifice being for nothing." He said these words calmly, as if any further emotion would make the situation worse.
Mistfire came screeching to a halt near the group, almost running into Stoneripple. "Wait, what's going on? I thought we were running." she asked. Her thoughts had been heavily clouded until now. The sudden stop had shocked her back to reality for the moment. She heard more pawsteps approaching from behind and whipped around to see who was approaching. The feeling of fear in her gut faded somewhat Softpaw and Snakefang came into view, stopping by the rest of them.
//would duskstar send out any group to go after chancespark and the group eventually? or will that threat be gone once they cross the river?

(She certainly would. Duskstar isn't the kind of cat to let her prey just get away. She would probably send others to follow them and report back to her) Chancespark With rag-tag group
The dark pelted she-cat couldn't help but shake. Her stomach twisted and turned, her lungs were still filled with water she hadn't the time to hack up. Anger sparked in her as she turned to the other warriors. "What are you doing? Go back!" Her ears were pinned behind her head, water still dripping from her fur as she tried to puff herself. "No one else is going to die because of me!"
Mistleblaze had reached them and approached the other she-cat with an heir of gentleness, lightly pressing her tail tip to the other's flank. "Emberfall gave us this chance. We've all made up our minds. This place is no longer safe." A weight on her shoulders released when she saw that Softpaw had followed her through the undergrowth.
Rushwing's guard dropped when he saw his fellow clanmates and his apprentice, he then turned to Chancespark, his eyes glistening in determination. "We're with you, Chancespark. I know it's hard but we have to keep moving. They're coming after us now."
Flickeringpaw reached the rest of them with Goldenpaw at her side, strangely composed compared to how she was only moments ago. "He's with us. He told me that we need to go to the river. We have to cross it." She mewed, ears standing up on end and tail flicking back and fourth. "Starclan wills this, Chancespark. We can't dawdle."
Chancespark snarled at them for a moment before shaking her pelt and spitting in fury. "Fine. Let's go." She then took back off towards the river really not wanting to get involved with another body of water. The she-cat stopped when she reached the water's edge. "I'll cross last. Everyone go."

Stoneripple, Sugarpaw, Snakefang and Mistfire | On the run (with the ragtag group)Softpaw wasted no time charging headlong into the river. At this point she was wanted by her clan. No stupid, overgrown stream was gonna get between her and her new life, away from all those other corrupt cats. Even if some of them were her family…
Mistfire followed soon after Softpaw, while Snakefang waited behind for Goldenpaw, Flickeringpaw, and Darkpaw to go. He would not be letting this river wash away any of his group. This section of the river was tame, relative to other parts, but water never really agreed with cats. Better safe than sorry.
Stoneripple stayed by Chancespark. He remained quiet for the time being. If Chancespark pressed him to go before her he would. But part of him didn’t want her left over here alone. Part of him didn’t trust her to really follow after them. He knew this idea was likely founded in nothing logical, but he couldn’t shake it from his head.

Chancespark, Mistleblaze, Rushwing, Goldenpaw, Darkpaw and Flickeringpaw River Shore
Goldenpaw followed right after her friend glad her mother had taught her to swim long before this moment, soon reaching the other side. Flickeringpaw followed closely after, keeping her head up so it wouldn't slip under the water, eventually her paws scraping at the mud on the other side of the bank.
Darkpaw looked at the water and then behind them for a moment. "Once you cross the river, keep going! Our scent trail will go cold here, the further we get the less likely we'll be tracked." He mewed looking to his mentor for confirmation.
Chancespark nodded to him. "Yes. Now go. I meant it when I said I wasn't losing anyone else today." She nudged the tom into the river, Rushwing following after the last of the apprentices. The black and white she-cat looked down at the water and trembled slightly, suddenly out of breath. Shaking her head she tried to pull herself out of it. "Stoneripple, I have a plan. Me, you and Mistleblaze don't cross yet, we run back into the woods, along the back and try to lose them. Snakefang will be in charge of making sure everyone else keeps moving." Her dual colored eyes flashed to the tom. "We'll meet you ahead."
Mistleblaze nodded her head. "It might work. It would lead them away from our trail. Give the others more time to get further away. Are you up for this?" She replied putting herself between Chancespark and the forest, so if they enemy burst from the bush she could protect her friend.

Snakefang, Mistfire, and Softpaw | Across the river (with Rushwing, Goldenpaw, and Darkpaw)Snakefang nodded in response to Chancespark’s idea. He followed the apprentices across the river. Once to the other side he looked to them. “Our scent is weaker now, but not gone completely. We must keep moving.” he said.
“What about the others? Chancespark?” Mistfire said. She was confused and even more concerned. Had something happened? Would Chancespark be unable to cross? That couldn’t possibly be it.
“They will catch up with us later.” Snakefang said. “Don’t worry. So long as we stay close to the river we shouldn't lose them.”
Stoneripple | River shore (with Chancespark and Mistlebaze)“I will gladly go with you.” Stoneripple said. He turned his ears to the forest, straining to hear any enemies approaching. “Lead the way. No time like the present.” he said. He couldn't hear any enemies approaching, but that almost made him more worried than the alternative. While he was certain that, at this moment, his twisted clanmates weren't too concerned about being stealthy, Duskstar wasn't known for being reckless. If they were going to stay on this side of the river, they would need to be careful.

Darkpaw Other side of the river Flickeringpaw, Softpaw, Snakefang, Mistfire, Rushwing
The dark gray tom arched his back in anger. "Of course she would send me across the river so I couldn't help her!" He spat quietly glaring at his mentor, tail lashing.
Goldenpaw lightly set her tail on the tom's shoulder. "I know you feel like you need to be willing to die for her Darkpaw, but you need to understand that Emberfall just sacrificed himself for her. Her mentor died for her. I think she might be willing to do the same. She's smart. She'll catch up with us, but we have to keep moving."
Flickeringpaw nodded her head in agreement. "We just have to get away, you can get back at her for it later. Right now we have to keep moving." The russet she-cat gave him a fierce nudge, practically shoving him into the bushes. The others following after her.
Chancespark Stormclan Territory Stoneripple and Mistleblaze
Chancespark raised her head slightly, listening for approaching pawsteps. "I say we split up. Not too much, but enough to throw them off." Her eyes set on Mistleblaze with the faintest hint of a smirk on her muzzle. "Still good at climbing?"
Mistleblaze mirrored the other she-cat's expression. Seedfur had once told her that she should have been named Squirrelpaw with how good she was at climbing. She remembered the nights she had spent practicing walking on tree branches. Then she practiced running on them. Eventually she was able to practically run through the trees, leaping from one to another. "Want me to stick to the trees?"
Chancespark nodded her head and turned to Stoneripple. "I'm going to stick to the undergrowth and head up river. Do you want to stick by the river bank? Maybe double back towards the lake and cut behind them, meeting us back up here?" She could hear pawsteps approaching quickly.
Mistleblaze looked to him as well. "If you want, I can follow you from the trees. Scout from above and tell you where they are."

Stoneripple | Stormclan territoryStoneripple thought of the possibilities. All things considered, in their current predicament, it would be best to throw the trail off in any way possible. Stoneripple nodded. “I’ll dart back to the lake. Should I cross the river at the lake or come back here first?” he asked. If he crossed there it might throw of the scent even more. But, there’s also the possibility that there would still be Stormclan cats waiting by the lake.
//sorry if this is a lil short hhhh im assuming the cats across the river are just chilling right now

Chancespark could hear them getting closer, her anxiety skyrocketing. "I trust you to make that call when you get there. Right now, we have to go. Mistleblaze, follow him and make sure that you have eyes on the situation. I meant it when I said I wasn't losing anyone else today. Now go!" Chancespark dashed into the undergrowth, doing her best to avoid brambles and bracken, letting out a battle cry so the enemy would focus on her.
Mistleblaze started in the direction back towards the lake, leaping from low hanging tree branched to higher ones, until she was among the canopy, carefully planning out the route that she would take and which branches could safely hold her weight. "Ready when you are, Stoneripple."

Stoneripple | River bank (with Mistleblaze)
Stoneripple nodded and dashed off towards the lake. He moved as fast as his legs would carry him. The path was clear along the river bank, only a few low hanging branches and cattails stood in his way. The lake quickly came into view. The water near the bank was still faintly mixing with the crimson that came from Emberfall's body. Stoneripple stopped near the mouth of the river, catching his breath and listening to the sounds around him. It seemed quiet.

Mistleblaze Lake Shore With Stoneripple
Mistleblaze followed him from the trees, gracefully leaping from one branch to another. She scanned the undergrowth with her eyes watching as she passed over the enemy and as they continued to follow the trail to the river. Everything was going as planned. The she-cat slammed herself to a halt when the tree line broke into the lake. She leaped down from the trees and stood next to Stoneripple. Her eyes feel to the water as she stepped to the shore. "Can I have a moment with him?" A shadow settled itself in her eyes. "I want to pay my respects."
(Sorry the homework bug got me again. I also went to broadway and saw my wife perform so that was fun.)

Stoneripple | Lake shore (with Mistleblaze)
Stoneripple blinked. He glanced around quickly. No one seemed to be nearby. "Go ahead." he said, to Mistleblaze. "But don't get too caught up." Stoneripple continued to keep watch. The last thing their group needed was to lose a member. Or two. He stayed by the shore of the lake, not wanting to bait any possible cats lingering by getting too close to the forest.

Mistleblaze Lake Shore With Stoneripple
Mistleblaze nodded her head to him solemnly and dashed her way towards Emberfall's body, laying down in the shallow water and bracing herself against its cold temperature. She closed her eyes and pressed her nose into the warrior's flank. "I knew this day was coming. I knew something was going to snap..." She broke off for a moment and bit down on her tongue. "I'm just sorry that it had to come at such a price. I promise you that we won't let this go to waste, Emberfall. Stay with us. Please." The she-cat mewed the words hoping that the tom could hear her before the snapping of undergrowth caused her to raise her head.

Stoneripple / Lake shore with Mistleblaze
Stoneripple kept watch while Mistleblaze did what she needed to do. The woods were eerily silent. Perhaps that was for the best? His head snapped in the direction of a sudden noise, forest litter crunching in the shadows. "Mistleblaze." Stoneripple said, keeping his voice low, despite knowing that if the enemy found them staying quiet would be for naught. "I think we should go."

Mistleblaze Lake Shore With Stoneripple
She had to clench her jaws to stifle a whimper, knowing she had to leave. Leave and potentially never come back. But it was the right thing to do. With a shaky breath and a lash of her tail, she steeled her courage. "You're right. We have to." Bunching her muscles she leapt out of the water, trying to create as little noise as possible. Once on the shore, she was surprised when a cat bowled into her side.
"Traitors! Both of you!" Redpaw spat, digging his claws into her side. "You're nothing without this clan! Starclan will abandon you!" He swiped again, with her dodging this time. "You're lower than dirt! Traitors!" He was a ball of fury, not to mention an alarm to the other clan cats.
"You're small, Redpaw. Go back to camp." She stood up to her full height and unsheathed her claws. "I don't want to fight you, but I will if I have to." In contrast to his bristle ball of a pelt, she remained calm, the only clue to her anger was her ears, being pinned against her head.
Another voice then projected over the lake. "You won't win, Redpaw!" It was the voice of Birchpaw, now trotting onto the shore. "Even with me to help." He stood at the side of the bristling apprentice, and arched his back. "Just let them run. They aren't worth it." He hissed, though his eyes conveyed fear and understanding.
Redpaw continued to snarl for a moment, holding eye contact with Mistleblaze before spitting and standing up straight. "Fine. But we need to tell Duskstar. Let's go." He growled turning on his heel and dashing back into the woods.
Birchpaw looked at the two of them, still seemingly torn. He sunk his claws into the ground. "Take care of Goldenpaw. Tell her I'm going to miss her and that I'll come after you as soon as I can get away." He whispered before following Redpaw.
Mistleblaze nodded to him and then swept her tongue over her wound and started towards the undergrowth. "Let's go before we encounter more trouble."

Stoneripple | On the move
w/ Mistleblaze
Stoneripple nodded. He felt a bit of relief at the fact the only interference this far was a small apprentice and Birchpaw. "This way." he said, doubling back the way they came. He lead the way back along the river bank at a fast pace, looking back often to make sure Mistleblaze was alright. "If need be we will have to swim across. If we hear them coming before we see them, beating them across the river shouldn't be a problem." There was a bit of worry gnawing inside of his stomach, but Stoneripple wasn't about to let that stop them. They've come so far, and there's no turning back now.
