I had another weird dream last night. This time my brain decided to use minecraft as a base since I've been playing it a lot.
I was building on a random server that wasn't my friends server, and my house was done, but then someone kept going around and stealing all of my torches that I had put up so mobs kept spawning in and around my house and there were more than usual. It was really starting to piss me off, and then two other dudes came up and decided they liked my house so they kept killing me over and over every time I respawned and tried to get back inside it and claimed it as their own so I had to go build somewhere else.
Then i had a temporary wake up because my cat puked at 3 am but my dream had a semi-continuation. Basically the drowned were somehow intelligent npcs and had their own underwater society and everything and it was my job to get them to stop killing us and us to stop killing us.

Every pagans weakness: Mason Jars.

YES. I agree! XD The question is, do the makers of Mason Jars know we're their biggest supporters?
Rather unrelated, but I read Dr. Faustous today and as an English major who's read a dozen other books with the same monologue at the end ... I wish I was OP enough that at the time of my death, it takes me an hour to stop talking and everyone listening wishes they could be the one to kill me by the end of it. I aspire to be that level of main character-ish.

Right? How is everyone doing? im gay. Honestly though I'm a really weird and kind of bad mix of emotions. I can go into details on any of these but tldr: - Dakota is starting shit again. Not physical, still a pain in the ass. - Dudebro in the minecraft server keeps nonchalantly flirting with me when I've known him for A WEEK. - A bunch of people are worried bout me, its appreciated but overwhelming. - I'm stalling on my stories again - Fp/Crush is talking to me more again and still reciprocates. I was getting concerned but some things about it are still bothering me.

So I don't know if you all knew this but back a while ago I was doing some kind of strenuous work with my wand and when the task was finally completed my wand snapped with no real cause when it shouldn't have because she's a sturdy wood. I even bent the stick over my leg and tried to break it when I first picked it up and it would bend but wouldn't budge.
She hasn't worked the same since, I glued and bound the snap but the energy flow is still wrong. It's been time to probably retire her and make a new one but I have been stumped on what to make one out of until just now.
I had had that weird minecraft dream, right? And in it I had found some orange and black striped stone (bumblebee jasper) and a purple-hued stick of sorts (purple heartwood.) So now I think I know what to make one out of! I had to google "orange and black stone" and "purple wood" and ask the guy in my local shop about them to finally figure it out together.
Unfortunately both the wood and the stone are a little pricey ($18 for a 1" by 12" dowl of the wood and $30 for 10 tumbled stones, however whichever ones I don't use I will probably donate to the shop so he can resell them.
I'm pretty excited about it and especially excited about what the finished product will look like, because that deep purple wood with bright orange/yellow? hot DAMN its gonna be a sexy lookin wand. I'll probably take my gold glitter detail pen and put some runes or a sigil or whatever on it, maybe just some fancy patterns.

Pupleheart Info:
* Also known as Amaranth wood. A tree of the peltogyne species. * Found natively in Mexico, Central, and South America. * When the wood is first cut it appears a dull gray-purple at first and gets its deeper eggplant color upon exposure. Over time and further exposure to UV light the color will darken further but can be halted by UV-inhibiting varnishes. * It's a dense and strong wood, resistant to weather, bugs, and plant ilnesses. * Working with purpleheart can be a challenge as it can dull blades easily or sometimes may secrete a resin aginst fast blades and gum them up. * Purpleheart can be toxic to work with over long periods of time and is known as a sensitizer. Danger of it decreases when layered with a coat of finish or dried it seems. * It is not listed in the species of woods currently threatened by deforestation or farming and is extremely sustainable. * Other than just being used as decoration because of it's color, it is used in shipbuilding, docks, or heavy cargo holds for its durability. (Not really anything special but I thought it was a cool fact.)
Spiritual qualities seem to include: * Being a feminine wood * Connection to Air and Spirit * Planetary conection to Venus and Mercury * Enhancing creative energy * Knowledge * Assistance in healing * Divination * Eradicating negative energy * Dream work, especially in nightmares * According to one source, energy may feel as though it is shifting and inspire deeper intuitive and psycic connections
EDIT: Some side notes:
The fact it can be difficult to work with or bring about allergies is slightly worrying but I can't imagine I'd have a reaction from just making the one. I'll just remember o lay out some newspaper and be extra careful where the shavings go and not let the cats around it. I'm probably also going to have to pick up a blade sharpener, sand paper and varnish before I start working with it just so i make sure it doesn't cause problems later either.
I also notice several sources on the spiritual qualities used the word "eradicated" specifically, which seemed unusual to me seeing as most spiritual properties of woods/stones usually mention only "repelling" or "banishing" negative energy. I would assume that would mean it could be used to directly destroy the negativity and get to the heart (pun intended) of the proble which is VERY MUCH how I solve my own problems these days. And considering taking on an extreme problem head on is what destroyed my last wand, this is good to know.
Also just in general, divination? nightmares? erratic energy? creativity? knowledge? healing? this wood is SO my jam! I'm even more excited.

Bumblebee Jasper Info:
* Also called an eclipse stone, fumarolic, or fumarole jasper. * Formed within and around volcanoes. * Debated to be an agate because of the different minerals that comprise it including, volcanic ash, hematite, anhydrite, sulfur, and arsenic. Some may also have traces of peryite. * Because of the sulfur and arsenic giving it the bright yellow and orange tones, it is also considered toxic, stones should be properly tumbled and sealed. * Found in Indonesia and some places around Australia. * The birthstone of people born in early summer.
Spiritual qualities: * Stimulant of sacral and solar plexus chakra * Astrological connection to Leo * Elemental connections to Fire and Earth * Growth of personal power * Stimulate mental clarity * Increases motivation and willpower * Helps you see and seize opportunities * Instinctual
EDIT: More side notes:
I think it's interesting and maybe slightly scary that both the wood and the stone can be toxic under certain conditions but helpful in others. I can only hope that it doesn't somehow represent that I'm a toxic person to be around. Rather, I hope it's just more symbolic that I can be dangerous if the need arises for me to have to be. Like a colorful poisonous frog that's pretty to look at but to predators just says "Don't f*k with me!"
Also the wood enhances things I already am whereas the stone would aid the things I struggle to achieve. That's a powerful combination indeed.

I'm just loving all this info. It sounds like a good wood for you. Good job about doing the research. I remember I had a wand, but it broke too. The wood wasn't very pliable. I've never replaced it, but it's never really felt the same. Still haven't found anything that works like it did and I've sorta switched to other ways of doing things since then. But your talk reminded me I had one. I don't even know what mine was made of. Oak or ash or maybe even dogwood if I was to make a rough guess considering where I got it. Probably oak.

I would like to vouch that you are not a toxic person. But I do also vouch that you are a very 'don't think you can get away with stepping on me' person as well. I really think the properties are cool! I can see them being very helpful!

The more I think of it the more I kind of think it makes sense if they're dangerous sometimes. I can be too. Especially in cases where my friends or loved ones are facing challenges or being abused. I will be the first person to step right up to whatever jerks face and confront them. I've been that way for a very long time. Not to mention half of the time the magic i use is for the protection of myself and others both offensively and defensively. I can also see how sometimes that can be my "toxic trait" so to speak. Sometimes I end up aggravating the situation further despite my best intentions.

Yeah, I can see what you mean there. It sounds like both of these would also assist you in better following your desire to protect your friends and loved ones but help limit the chance to aggravate the situation. Which seems really good in my personal opinion.
