I keep intending to reply and then dont oop.
I've been watching the midnight gospel. I like it. It's got some theological problems though. Some of what characters say is wrong according to cited text that theyre speaking about and misinterpreting.

I'm sort of beating myself up for not having/getting supplies to properly celebrate the winter solstice, especially since it's a special one this year x~x

Dont feel too bad, I have nothing planned either. Ill probably take some time to meditate or something but I've been so focused on other things or just dissociating I havent been well enough to plan and do. I know thats not healthy but it is what it is.

Yeah, I'll just try to do something basic and focus on myself and being prepared next year.
Besides it is absolutely pouring rain here in Washington, so I won't be able to see the alignment of Jupiter and Saturn anyway. Ah well

I unfortunately do not have the energy for that. Perhaps I’ll wake up in time to see though (though now that I think about it, it could still be cloudy in the morning)
I managed to do a small little thing with some candles to celebrate the sun’s return. I sort of feel strange having to google for ideas on what to do, but I didn’t really have another way of finding out. Basically just lit some candles, recited a chant, and meditated for a few minutes.

I actually ended up doing nothing pagany at all and instead spent my extra energy doing a bunch of things Ive been putting off for so long. I feel good to get a head start on some things. I havent been able to focus like that in a while.
My only complaint is that I got sleepy and gotta hope my drive is there tomorrow to finish it.

Ooo, Interesting o3o
This isn't really pagan-related but my Streamdeck that I bought myself as a reward for passing my written driving test showed up today a day early, and I haven't been able to keep my hands off it it's so cool It even lets me set a screensaver for it, and I set it to show a screenshot of my Code Vein OC when it's idle for five minutes

I cleaned out my mess of stuff today. e.g. all my old shrine stuff. Half of it wasn't good anymore because 1) different person and 2) who packed this? 1/4th of it is broken?
So at least I've got a semblance of getting things in order.

Oh hey, this is awesome! I'm fairly new to witchy stuff, but I've been casually interested in it for quite a few years. I'm really into kitchen witchcraft, medicinal herbs (I can probably thank my middle school interest in Warrior Cats for that lol), crystals and rocks, and anything nature or science related. I like designing my own spells and doing little spell jars or food magic. I'll have to post some pictures of my alters and my grimoire and stuff someday!
I'm very much on the skeptical side of things - I personally work under the assumption that everything's a result of the placebo effect, but it works for me and adds a spiritual element of connection with the world to my life and that's what matters!

Oh hey welcome! I agree with you on placebo, somewhat at least. When it comes to herbs and stuff some of it is real. Like, lavender calms, chamomile helps you sleep, whatever. In spellwork though it is usually about the meaning with the herb though. So you might use the same lavender/chamomile combo to help a meditative sleep state. I mostly deal in rocks though and those are very placebo/meaning intents. Although sometimes there are certain energies i feel from some stones that do seem to make me feel better instantly.

YEAH I love learning about how herbs interact with your body! I have this delicious lavender mint tea I love to drink. Haha I feel that with the stones, personally I just always feel SO much happier when I hold amber, probably because I love paleontology lol!

I'm actually allergic to lavender, it makes my throat close and it's the only thing I'm allergic to that actually is an emergency if I come into contact with it or breathe it in somehow. Rip. I also hate mint. (don't tell Mintedstar.) xD
I should post an updated picture of what my rock collection looks like now. I don't have any amber, I'm kinda jealous.
