Not writing Warriors? That's fine! This is a themed event in the WFF, which means that we're going to have themed activities, but you can use them to write anything! The point of this topic is to join in with a community of writers and get some writing done! What Makes the WFF Write-in Special? We will have Warriors' themed Word Wars, Prompts, and various other activities! If you have an idea to start an activity, or want to do something themed, or want to give an encouraging talk? Go right ahead! You don't need anyone's permission. This is about a writing - any amount. You're welcome to do this however you want! What Counts To Your Word Count?The focus will be on writing your STORY but writing any creative words will contribute to your totals, whether that's RP, short stories, a novel, clan bios etc.

FAQ Do I have to write something Warriors? NO. Please don't feel you have to write something Warriors to participate here! The Word Wars will be Warriors themed, the events will be Warriors themed, and various other activities will be cat and warrior themed. But please do write about your space-traveling knights who ride dinosaurs if you want to! Do I have to make the 50K? NOPE! Write as much or as little as you want! The idea of NaNo is to write daily. This can be one word or 10,000. You can only write 100 words this month and you'll still be more than welcome here! Do I have to be a member of NaNo . org? NOPE! You can participate here regardless! Do I have to post my story here/do I have to have proof of my word count? NO!  Your story is your story! You don't have to share anything if you don't want to! There should be a button on Google Docs or Word which calculates your word count. Or if you write by hand, you can estimate! All of the word counts are on the honor system! If you want to post your stuff, that's completely up to you! Can I participate here AND in OTW? You CAN! You will only be getting one prize though. But please do visit both if you want to! Prizes? Yep! You heard me right! All participants - if they post here with a word count update more than FIVE (5) times - will get a prize of some sort! The more you days you post with a word count/participate, the more detailed your prize will be! <3 What's a Word War, Word Sprint, Crawls, etc: These are challenges to help you reach your goal. For the benefit of those who are new to this: Word Wars: These are usually timed, and are competitive. The goal is to write for a specific amount of time, and see who writes the most! The most popular ones tend to be the 10 minute word wars and the 15 Minute Word Wars - although variations of all types can be found in here! Word Sprints: Not competitive. These are to see how much you can write in a specified amount of time, or see how long it takes you to write a specific amount of words. Crawls: These are usually long, game-like challenges that follow a specific theme, and vary wildly based on the person creating the challenge. These are less competitive, more about challenging yourself. Writing Prompts: These are idea-sparking ideas to get the juices flowing. Stuck? Take some writing prompts to get to the next chapter! I only just found this, but have already written stuff this April. Can I still count that in my word count/toward games? Yep! Go for it! Any other questions? Please ask! |
