Aisling crashed headlong through the forest, twisting her lean body around trees and shrubbery, leaping over creepers and fallen logs, and ducking under trailing branches, her heart pounding audibly in her chest. The fox on her tail crashed right along behind her, its hot breath beginning to blow onto her heels as it slowly gained ground. The gray tabby desperately racked her brains for a way out of the mess she had gotten into, butall she could think of was to get someone to help her. And where would she find a cat someone like that? Aisling was a loner. She lived alone, and that meant she avoided every cat that she came across, not interested in what potential help or harm they had to offer her. Except now, that is.
The fox barked once, a harsh, guttural declaration of its imminent victory. The sound startled Aisling momentarily, causing her to stumble upon a bramble in her path. The fox sprang forward with a triumphant snarl and closed its jaws around her hind leg, its teeth scraping against bone. Aisling shrieked in pain and scrabbled forward desperately; the fox released its hold on her, blood spurting from her leg and splattering over its muzzle. Aisling plastered her ears to her head and bushed up her fur, hissing menacingly as she turned around to face the fox and tried to limp backward, blood coursing from her leg and fire throbbing in her veins. The fox advanced slowly, eyes gleaming. The she-cat swiped at its muzzle with a flurry of claws and succeeded in drawing three lines of scratches across its nose, but that hardly deterred it. She was just prey for it now. Aisling knew that it was only a matter of time before she would be brought down. She could fight, but in the end, what with her injured leg, her defiance would make as much difference as kit’s refusal to go inside when its mother told it to.

In the wee hours of the morning, all that could be heard was the steady breathing of the sleeping cats that filled the to-be's den. Small clumps of fur lay sprawled here and there as if they were bits of fluff that had been scattered about. Some curled themselves into tight balls with their paw or tail over their eyes; others lay streached out in their nests, legs going any which way and sticking out at odd angles. The breathing of the clumps was rhythmic and steady, it also helped to keep the den warm in the cool hours before the sun would grace the sky; when all of the warmth of the day before had fled. Yet the only one who was awake was a young calico tomcat. Koi that circles in pond. Or just Koi which is what he goes by. It was normal for the young tom to be up before everyone else.
The sun was just beginning to come up, and turned the sky from deep velvet to the creamy blue of the early morning. Stars still studded the sky like small diamonds that twinkled in the new light. He slowly got to his feet, and streached; each limb extending in turn. Koi padded carefully out of the den, and into the clearing that was the main part of his Tribe's home. He decided to take a morning stroll in the forest that was near the Tribe of Dappled Shadows main homeland. He had been walking for awhile only to pause upon hearing this unfamilar noise which made his ears and head swivel in the direction to his right. So, with unwavering paws he set into a fast paced trot towards the noise.
His green eyes scanned the area as he followed the unknown noises, but he couldn't see anything that would tell him where exactly the animals where. This was going to be harder than he thought. Tail lashing in concentration, he pricked his ears, but couldn't hear anything. Gosh, now what!? Smell? he wondered, tilting his head to one side and sniffing the air. Oh yea, a cat’s scent was here. He opened his jaw, as his mother had once told him to do, and let the air slide over the glands at the top of his mouth. Ah! He sprang forward, following the scent...but went to far and lost it. Frustrated, he backed up until he found it again, and realized that it had turned in a different direction. Following the scent, he came to a little rocky clearing. Padding forward silently, he skids to a stop from behind a bush. The scent grew into scents know letting Koi know there where more than two animals. He dropped down to his belly, hoping that, if whatever animal looked in his direction, he would be hidden with the bush. After another moment he crept forward again, and then, when he was just a few mouselengths away from the bushes, he sprang over the bushes with a growl. Only to fall ontop of a young fox. Of course the young Calico had no idea what it was. And the fox not expecting Koi at all flung the cat off of him before running off. Yipping along the way.
Koi then sits up laughing. What a morning! His ears twitch upon hearing heaving ragged breathing. He twirls around on his paws, green eyes growing wide upon seeing another cat. An injured cat nonetheless. ❝Hey.. are you okay?❞ he questions warily as he takes a few steps towards the strange cat.
[ Yeah.. I didn’t really know to make Koi fight the fox… sorry also this is an awful response.. ]

( ᴘᴀɪɴᴛᴇᴅᴛᴜɴᴅʀᴀ How is this an awful response?? No, no, I love it!! It's HILARIOUS. I literally lol'd while reading it and my sis was like, "What's so funny?" I'm sorry for this meh response...I think my muse left me )
Aisling hunkered into an awkward crouch with her injured hind leg splayed out behind her, watching the fox intently. Suddenly, a spotted ball of fur leaped from behind the holly bushes that lined the small glade she was in and landed heavily on the fox. The fox yelped in surprise and fled, the tortoiseshell on its back tumbling off its flank with an audible thump. The young tom picked himself up, chuckling, and turned toward her. Aisling was vaguely aware of him asking her something, but she could only stare incredulously, her jaw open slightly as she gaped at him. Had what she had seen actually happened? What cat could be so brave? So reckless? And so dumb? A lance of fire in her leg jolted her back to reality. Aisling tore her gaze away from the calico and twisted her head behind her to see her leg. Her fur was matted with dried blood, and more was slowly trickling out of the mangled wound, which was starting to hurt more and more. Aisling looked at in dismay; how was she going to deal with this? She knew nothing at all about healing. She eventually turned back to the calico tom and asked through gritted teeth, “Who are you?” Perhaps she could evaluate whether he would help or her or not based on his answer. She doubted he knew anything about medicine either, but maybe he would know a way to help her. He had just saved her life, after all.

[ Wildbriar ; well thank you anyway <3 Nah you're response is great! Oh no ]
Koi took another step towards her a look of worry on his face as he gazed at her mangled back leg. Without even asking her if it was alright he trots closer to her and actually nudged her to stand and swiftly lets his body be used for support as the female leans against his shoulder. ❝I should get you to Stoneteller.❞ He states completely ignoring her question. And not even asking her if she could walk, he knew she couldn't but he needed to get her leg looked at. He forces her to walk. Soon it was now mid-morning and the duo finally made it back to the main part of the Tribe's territory. They of course had stopped a few times to let her rest.
Koi stops a foot from this dark cavern in the stony wall. ❝Stoneteller!❞ he calls out to the cave as he leaves the she-cats side once he knew she could sit by herself. He enters the cave. By now a bunch of the tribe cats where up and moving about. Most not really paying attention to Aisling.
A few moments pass before a large aged senior ginger and white tomcat emerged from the cave followed by Koi. The two stop in front of Aisling. The Stoneteller takes a step even more closer to Aisling dipping his head down to her back leg inspecting it. ❝Hm. You're right. Her leg is in bad shape.❞ the senior's voice is raspy yet wise sounding. The ginger and white tom now looks at Aisling. ❝Are you able to walk, youngling?❞

The pain had been steadily increasing with every heartbeat, until Aisling wasn't sure she could stand anymore. Luckily, the calico tom seemed to realize this. He came over to her and sniffed her leg before encouraging her to lean her weight on his shoulder. The tabby sighed as the pain eased a little. She was too shattered to resist and dumbly walked with him as he led her through the forest until they arrived atn area dotted with rocky outcroppings, shadows at the bases that indicated caves present among many of them. The tom brought her to one and padded inside, returning with a large, grizzled giner-and-white tom who examined her leg and asked if she could walk. "I don't think so..." Aisling faltered, feeling faint.
(I've just realized how bady Aisling is injured lol...maybe she should faint soon and we could do a timeskip to when she wakes up and Stoneteller has a chance to work on her. And also, do you want Koi's love interest from the Tribe to appear from the beginning of the story? I could be her and bringe her in now so you don't end up RPing with yourself lol)

The two cat's eyes grow wide and other around them stopped what they were doing immediately after the strange cat fainted. Of course Stoneteller instructed an older cat, Hawk that Flies Everywhere "Hawk" to help carry the female into the large den. Koi on the other hand just stood there watching Hawk and Stoneteller assist the situation.

Sky That Soars Above Forest padded out of the den she shared with the other to-bes, stretching languorously in the sunshine, feeling her muscles slide underneath her spotted golden pelt. A commotion near Stoneteller's den caused her to flick her gaze in that direction; what she saw stopped her short. A strange gray tabby she-cat who looked like she had seen about as many moons as Sky lay on the ground, the horiffic state of her left hindleg clearly visible. Stoneteller and Hawk lifted her and carried her into Stoneteller's den. It was only when Hawk moved out of the way did Sky see that Koi was standing there, staring after them. Sky hurriedly snapped out of her stretch and rushed across the clearning to join him, her fur brushing his ever so slightly. "Who was that, Koi? Why is she here? What happened to her?" Sky bombarded the to-be with questions, curiosity in her gaze as she peered into the dark entrance of Stoneteller's den.

The young tomcat didn't really know how to feel in that moment. He was worried for the she-cat. Yet he was also curious about her. Where did she come from? For how long was that strange animal following her? Who was she? But his thoughts got cut short as a familiar cat decided to join him. His green gazes darts over to Sky That Soars Above Forest. His best friend since he was a kit. ❝Oh.. Hi Sky.❞ he says only to have his gaze drawn back to the eerie entrance of Stoneteller's den. ❝I don't know.. some she-cat. I saved her from this strange animal with a fluffy tail. It attacked her.❞

Sky gasped and stared at Koi, her eyes stretched wide. “The prey-hunters told me about them! They’re foxes! They’re huge! What did you do? How did you fight it off? How big was it? Just wait until the other to-bes hear about this!” Sky finished off her stream of inquiries with a purr, eager to share some juicy gossip with her Tribemates. She weaved around Koi excitedly, anticipating what would surely be a hair-raising adventure.

Green eyes followed the bengal she-cat as she circled him excitedly streaming off a bunch of inquiries. He can't help but chuckle at her eagerness and the need to show off to the other to-bes even though she wasn't even there. Classic Sky. ❝Sky..❞ He tries to gain her attention but she's still rattling off theories. He chuckles. ❝Sky it really isn't as interesting as you make it out to be. Honestly it's a little embarrassing...❞ He responds sheepishly lowering his head down as he gazes up at her. ❝I don't really know how big it was and may or may not have fallen on top of it... and it ran away...❞

Sky stopped circling Koi. "You what?" she meowed, a purr of laughter bubbling in her throat. "What happened? Was the fox angry? Did it attack you? What did you do? Was there--" Sky paused to snatch a quick lungful of air, fully intending to continue her barrage of questions after she inhaled.

Koi with an unamused look on his face walks away from Sky not intending at all to answer her questions, ❝I promise I'll answer your questions later, Sky. Alright?❞. He wanted to check on the new addition to the Tribe. Well she wasn't a new addition just a passerby possibly. As he enters he sees Stoneteller and Hawk attending to her leg. Stoneteller was just applying a fifth layer of cobwebs upon the young Prey-hunter to be entered the den. He looks over as Hawk finishes with the newcomer. ❝Young Koi, I was just about to come and find you. It seems your little friend here has gotten her leg in a bind.❞
Koi lowers his head slightly while his ears fell back onto his skull. ❝But she can stay right, Stoneteller?❞ he questions. The old tomcat glances back at the female who's leg was now properly medicated and on a slow recovery. ❝Mmh. I'll allow her to stay my little Koi. But only until her leg is healed understand?❞ The calico's green eyes light up with happiness and he grins letting out a soft purr. ❝Thank you Stoneteller.❞ he states only to quickly make his way over her as he sits and waits for her to wake. He had a lot of questions he needed answered.

(Hello ᴘᴀɪɴᴛᴇᴅᴛᴜɴᴅʀᴀ ! How are you doing? Sorry this one took so long; I had some troubles that had to be dealt with. I wanted to ask you about two things. First, Tribes are different from Clans, so we should try to make differences between them, both subtle and drastic, right? The Clans call cats who aren't from among them loners and rogues. Maybe the Tribe can call non-Tribe cats outsiders? And the second thing is, Stoneteller is Koi's father, correct? Isn't it prohibited for Stonetellers to have mates? If this was intentional, then I'm seeing potential for a subplot with some drama here. And drama's what we live for, right? XD)
Sky stared after Koi as he shrugged her off and entered Stoneteller’s den. Hurt flashed in her gaze, but she quickly blinked it away. Well, if Koi wanted to check out the outsider he had brought in, then she would too. She entered the cave and stopped just inside; Koi was thanking Stoneteller for something, his gaze shining. “What’s going on?” she asked him, padding over to his side. “How is she?” Sky added to Stoneteller, leaning over the new arrival. The she-cat was a slender gray tabby; she was actually quite pretty. Though of course, her fur isn’t as nice as mine, and I bet her eyes aren't as clear as the sky, Sky smirked in satisfaction.

[ Hey Gloam ^.^ It's fine and hopefully you got it all worked out and everything is good. Oh yes we definitely should. Oooh Outsiders I like that heh. Yeah Stonetellers' don't have mates but I decided that Koi's father had been with Koi's mother before he was appointed Stoneteller (If that can be a thing. I have no idea because I stopped reading Warriors after Long Shadows sooo eh) But still I'm all up for subplots C: LOL ] Koi doesn't even notice Sky enter too engrossed in watching the gray tabby. He was beyond curious. Things like this never happen to the Tribe. If ever even. The young calico had always been curious about the life that thrived outside the tribe. His father, Stoneteller, had once told him how the outsiders that lived among the rocks where dangerous and shouldn't be trusted. Yet as Koi stares closely at the tabby he can't help but think maybe his father might be wrong about outsiders. Maybe.
Stoneteller glances over at Sky where he sits near the back of the cave as he gathers some herbs for the outsider to take when she wakes up. ❝She's fine for now.❞ The white and orange tabby pipes up as he turns carrying a small leaf pouch of the few herbs that the young female will definitely need when she awakens. ❝But it will be up to her whether she let's us help her leg heal or not.❞ Upon hearing that Koi's ears lower as he gazes at his father.
