So I had this idea for a character but there was nothing to put her in and then I came up with this plot and had the idea to try and start an off topic rp. None of mine have taken off or gotten, well... any attention at all, so I hope this one will be different.
So the world is, of course, fantasy inspired because I'm a fantasy novelist. It's rich in magic and lore and has stayed pure and uncontaminated for many many decades, some believe it has been this way since the beginning of time. There are three moons, two suns, and at night and during the day there are several planets always in view in the skies.
The world has all kinds of habitats and worlds and throughout the land are crystal caves with hidden archways within them, these places can be used to transport oneself through the lands so if you're in the mountains and head to it, you simply lay one paw, claw, hoof, etc, on the main stone within the cave and say the name of the land you wish to go to. The magic will then activate and you will be transported there. There is one cave in each of the different lands (biomes).
There is a main language within the world but some areas have been known to have different languages.
This world is heavy with magic and the creatures portray this, being anything but normal. You can make up your own mythical creature, take one from legends or myths, etc.
The Plot! I was thinking that one day, on the day of the united festival, a strange, shiny rock machine descends onto the planet and begins to kill creatures, build towns, cut down forests, pollute the lands, and slowly they find a way to drain the world of its magic, and so its life itself. It is now up to the creatures and inhabitants of the lands to save their families, their friends, themselves, and their home itself, before the magic is gone and the planet dies.
Start! Would start with some small rp so we can get a feel for each others rp types, get use to our characters (if you ake new ones) and can develop the rp a bit before the United Festival, which is a huge festival where creatures from all around come to the Sapphire Fields for a time of peace, unity, and fun.
Anyone interested? Please?

I'm very interested in this topic. I'm a sucker for fantasy and despite the lack of time on a day to day basis, I would be sooo down to give this a go. Seeing as you want to use multiworlds, I would love to throw a dragon into the equation, if not a vampire or a demon. Hmmm.... so many possibilities.
Haha, Oh yea, that's if you're down to have me!

or course you're welcome auran! The world where they are is going to just be animal based mythical creatures though so.

Whoops, totally missed that minor detail! Regardless, I’m totally fine with the animal based concept!
Dragon, wolf, basilisk , griffon. still a ton of possibilities

So I do work today, so my replies will be terribly slow. But if you want we can plan out some more before we start roleplaying?

Sure! We can plan out the world and such, along with a more thorough plot description.
We can also come up with rules and a joining form and such.

I'd be willing to help out/join. I have a bunch of characters that I could use in the rp but not anywhere else.

Alrighty Since we are going to have multiple lands, can we assume that certain lands will hold different systems of politics, or faith? For example, some are more of a community based and others are loners, individualistic etc. Maybe some lands could be more faith driven too? Having this kind of variety makes an interesting dynamic when it comes to unification, purpose, and direction.

Hm, little confused on what you mean Auran

Kinda like each ‘part of the land’ is like a different ‘state’ Or “country” The world we are using is united, but also different.
And like different states and countries, there are different rules, beliefs, and traditions, etc. But many of these different countries/states all unify in one way or another.

Auransky, that could be a cool idea

Having different policies, or 'beliefs' can be one of the reasons why festivals happen. Kinda to bring everyone together, as a sign of piece, prosperity and good will.
later in the rp, it can also be a detour in terms of getting everyone on bored, or methods used to combat the potential threat.

That's really cool. I'm not really good at setting up so many different things like that so I would really love your help.

Yea, I'm entirely down to help, to my best extent! But before we get exactly to the "who believes in what?" Question, we need to consider, "Who is roaming this land" So, what kind of inhabitants were you considering? I'm thinking along the lines of - Chimera
- Basilisk
- Antelope/Deer
- Dragon
- Unicorns
- Wolves
- Griffon
Just a few that crossed my mind. Ofc, if we are gonna open this to other people, we'll certainly get a ton of other options. But having a few to start off, will help us build the world initially.

Yep! Also powered creatures and definitely open to people making their own creations of creatures. I know one of my characters are going to be a Peryton and he's kind of the elder of the lands and widely respected by all.

Yea, just when you think you see it coming, you never saw it coming. The power of creativity! Haha! In the meantime, we can also write some lore for some of the races that we are considering. Like you can write about this Peryton (just googled it, looks amazing!) and I can write about the dragons. From there we can work up the list. Having some lore, will help the world creating aspect.

Sorry for my absence. Things are going to be tight this next week. I got an argumentative paper due Monday, and a Conceptual Question due Monday. But I have a two day work training this weekend too, which means that I have to get the two papers done by Friday night.
Then next week, I gotta start working on my proposal for another argumentative paper.
I would love to see a Cervitaur or a Thunderbird! Just mentioning the Thunderbird, I can't help but think about DisneyLand Perris's Thunderbird ride!
